Bushiroad's doing better than Yugioh. Wouldn't say Vanguard isn't broken when we look at units like Thing Saver or the massive restand/glory clonefest (even if most of them are Tier 0). OTKs are possible for a number of decks (mainly DPolice), but it most certainly does take much more effort and luck than simply winning the coin flip in Yugioh. The problem I have with Bushi's new ideas is that they seem to make it a point to make the previous mechanic mostly irrelevant and less major clans tend to fall so far behind they never really get a chance. The Break Ride era didn't do this, but it became a turtle game of "whoever hits 4 damage first wins". I agree on it being a lot more interesting, because I find the concept of Stride extremely interesting. Delete is a fun thing and stuff like Megacolony stun or Aqua Force's four-five attack turns without Triggers is incredible. It's not as broken as Yugioh, no, but I don't see too much difficulty in comparing their absurd formats and money grubbing busted card design.
No no, it's not 4 damage to win now, but I'm saying it was back in Season 3/Break Ride era.Nothing is on par with the tier of stupid that's Shaddoll and Qliphoth. As long as the Extra Deck for Stride never becomes that stupid, Vanguard will remain superior. And it lasts until the End Phase, which already puts Stride on good, balanced footing.
