Sportsmanship doesn't exist anymore

I have seen way too many people who won't say gg after the game ends, start to bad talk the opponent, and will rage quit if they are grade locked.
Please don't be like this people and please don't take the game too serious to the point where you get angry at your opponent. Especially do not be rude in game because I'm sure no one wants to play against someone who pissed off.

I don't think most people like myself want to see someone be patronising if they felt the match was too one sided like myself.

I never say gg unless it was a legit one.
Grade locks are common and will annoy players so we can expect more to happen.

Nothing you can do about emotion to a game that people love and enjoy.

Good sportmanship is great, but, as Sinon said it comes down to the game itself. I never say good game when grade locked as to put it simply, it was not a good game, if the game is good I'll comment, if it was a decent game I'll say well played or something.

People becoming upset over Gradelocks is natural. When it comes to testing a deck, it's frustrating to keep playing when you can't even test the main purpose of the deck: the boss and how everything else functions with it. Otherwise, you're playing a mostly vanilla rush if you can even get the rest of the units to throw on the field. Most of the time, people will just be drawing triggers.

"gg" is either saying it was a good game or a way of saying thanks for the fight. It's not really patronizing if they don't say it until they start badmouthing. Unless they beat a cheater or a foul mouth hooligan; I've never understood why others would want to sling insults at other people for just playing the game. Some people do it to fool around, but they'd only do that privately. It's clearly vile nature to outright insult another player when they did nothing morally wrong, or these people puff out their chests, screech "Final Turn" when the opponent has 1 card in hand and 5 damage, then go around talking like they're the best player ever and the opponent was terrible.

It's why saying "Final Turn" can get you disqualified in official tournaments. It's supposed to prevent this kind of attitude.

i for one say gg or nf (nice fight) wether it was or not because i was happy to fight my opponent one way or the other.
not everyone is perfect or sportsman like, but hey thats how people are.

also final turn gets you dqed ? i can imagine people abusing it which is why i always say during someones final turn "o so you give up after ?", come on its your final turn that means you wont have another after.

Yea there's no reason to say good game unless there was no miss rides in the game. I've seen people get mad for calling good game when it really wasn't. Maybe when stride hits area there will be less miss rides and more good - great games. Maybe.

Personally, I just say gg at the end of every match out of habit, there's no thought put into it.
As for "Final Turn", unless you're being a dick about winning and calling the opponent weak or something like that, I don't see the harm in calling it. Personally, I usually don't call it because I often don't know if it is final turn or not. The only time I will is when I'm really excited because my deck has been working flawlessly and it feels like a waste not to give it that "Anime Moment" feeling.

I used to say something along the lines of "Final Stand" or s.t when I knew I would lose in my opponents next turn, but I forgot what it was exactly so I don't do that  anymore.

Anyways, back to the point, this is a game, so overconfident or angry or generally unsportsmanlike people will show up, they will always be around. There's not even really a point in talking about it. People get cocky, arrogant, angry, stupidly obsessed, this is just another case of that.

It happens everywhere, at work, at school, in games, even at home. I'm not saying you should "deal with it" or anything, but you do kind of have to try and brush that behavior off, since it's never going away. Letting yourself be upset or hurt or angry because of it isn't going to do anyone any good.

You know, you probably still have a chance of turning it around even when grade-locked right? I've seen it happen a ton of times, quitting because of that is sort of a slap in the face to your opponent.

imo players that ragequit or swear are either players that had a bad day or that they just lost too many times and got angry, for example: i am fighting a player that uses world line as svg and i had a bad day, i guessed who is his/her ace card, when i found out that it is glendios, i ragequitted and i swore a lot because he used an exodia card that will have an instant win if you had 5 locked cards. but that story was true, the only card that i really hate is Star-Vader, "Omega" Glendios, ever since it was created i cried for months that vanguard is gone and that cardfighting now is just to win and have a high authority against everyone, but i never lost hope because there was the Lion of Salvation looking straight at me saying: don't give up, the enemy is weak when you find his weakness.

Now for that issue about players that won't say gg, there are 2 reasons for that: 1) is that they don't even know the abbreviation and 2) is that they don't care about you saying gg or something like that, they just wanted to cf or like i said earlier, they had a bad day.
