G Booster Set 2: Soaring Ascent of Gale & Blossom

Cherry:
The thing about OG Tidal Assault is he doesn't wait for you to be in Legion. Letting you Turn 2 rush heavily.

The new Generation Blue Storm support could actually make up for that though.

AloisTrancy:
Yeah, but hes also susceptible to being retired or locked or returned to the bottom of the deck, unlike this card, plus Blue storms have spyros for early game rushing, so they won't need tidal too much anymore.

Cherry:
Everything that isn't Milos is susceptible to it still.

Spyros only works with a Grade 3 or greater so that's Turn 3. As long as the Strides and Heart aren't Counterblast heavy, he should fit right in regardless. Tidal himself still creates an insane Turn 2, especially if you rip a Critical trigger for him. And finishing the game before enemy Strides generate larger amounts of advantage than you is vital. ... Even though Aquas still get disrupted by Route Flare.

If we could get earlier Aquas with Resist... Well, they might finally get their top of Tier 2 seat like they're supposed to.

AloisTrancy:
Tbh I do like Tidal's turn 2 rush but I really would prefer to run Spyros/Milos, especially with Zaharias, because their rush will be much stronger in later turns with their own personal skills. Together they can rack up a minimum of 6 attacks in one turn with potential for more if Zaharias goes off or you're using Michael. And that's basically every turn with minimum Counterblasting

Cherry:
It can be a matter of preference depending on how you run it.

Creating a powerful lategame wave along with Zaharias or Stride can bring victory before they get their bigger G Units. Or even better: making them discard Grade 3 fodder to perfect guard. Creating a strong earlygame that still brings a midgame wave like the first can be game defining by Turn 4. There's also the involvement of Tetra Burst's Critical possibly, the Heart boss having an insane Heart Beat, or even combinations with Maelstrom or Maelstrom R gaining a leverage of advantage. This isn't even including the potential Trigger lineups.

Aqua Force's diversity is amazing.
