Then, if the number of face up cards in your G zone is two or more, search your deck for up to one grade 2 card, call it to (RC), shuffle your deck, and that unit gets [Power]+5000 until end of turn.

Finally, what Soul Saver failed to do consistently for the clan as a whole. Altomile gives significant power, a free call, and a boost to said call. He can pop every important Grade 2 out of his ass and massively capitalize on it. Benizel, Violinist, Swordmy, hell even Blaster Blades. And +8s whatever he calls too. He has the exact same skill timing as Religious Soul Saver, which would be a problem. However, just like Ayesha, he has a built in failsafe for his wording to be superior in every possible way. The +3000 is CONT, so he'll wait patiently for you to get a front row whenever you want, and gives things Twin Sword calls the boost too.

+3000 isn't as heavily as powerful as 5 or 6 would be. But it scales with Pier's numbers in G Royals, along with putting himself at an amazing 36 with a 7 booster. In other decks, one rearguard column would have a +8 to keep it going, but the other would only have +3. That's 19 unless it's a power gaining unit like Black Mantle, Cerdic, Tracie, Archer of the Sanctuary, and anything with Pier back in G Royals. This guy is just heavenly in design. Everything he needed to do for Royals while still sticking to the flavor of being a Royal. Finally, we correct the mistake of Thing Saver with this and Sanctuary Guard, two leaders that stick to what the clan should be doing. Superior Calling/Gaining and giving power to allies.

I'd take four of him over Saint Blow, personally. Saint Blow shines early and mid, but Altomile picks up whenever you want him to. Early? Push and get full field. Mid? Do the same. Late? Push all three columns to win. Like Ayesha, he proves vital against retire matchups. Doesn't help against Lock unless you intercept a bunch or don't call before using him, but this works even still. Saint Blow's problem has always be that he hogs power for himself and gets nulled for his Critical. While that is still dangerous, he doesn't help push for everyone. Altomile and Sanctuary Guard both do that, and that the correct design choice.
