Zeo ZX:
Consider CFO as the prelude to what will be Cardfight Vanguard getting a dueling network style browser game.

I kinda want to agree with you since it still may feel that way but based on the already confirmed info it probably won't.
Also in other news while it's coming in late. CFO is confirmed for Steam Greenlight.

I'm actually looking forward to an official game client for Cardfight. It pretty much looks like the Tag Force of Vanguard, which isn't bad at all. All that's left is for them to actually announce the prices for their micro-transactions which will determining the fate of the game, seeing as it's F2P. I'm actually keeping my hopes up in that department and hoping they keep the prices really low. Basically a system where you choose a trial deck to begin with and then pay in-game currency or real money (your choice) for boosters wouldn't be bad. Eventually they could charge for trial decks from past Vanguard series if they expand the database.
The prices were the main reason why none of the old Yu-Gi-Oh online games lasted, but then again that was Konami being stupid. The first Yu-Gi-Oh Online had a horrible system of paying an amount of money for DP that you would use in just one day or a week tops, depending on how often you played (1 DP = 1 duel). It resulted in the subscription, because it basically turned into one, being way too much back when most players there didn't even have a credit card. Then we had that browser based Yu-Gi-Oh which also had a faulty system. Besides that they went for energy based gameplay, limiting the players' time, their prices for boosters and decks were ridiculous. You basically couldn't build a regular deck without spending actual money and were better off just playing with the free partner ones .. and that was what most people did. It also had lots of bad GUI design ideas. Again Konami didn't think things through. But ultimately they did release the latest YGO for PS4 and XOne that's actually good for what it is and pretty much Tag Force, but without the need to navigate the map to advance in the campaign. Legacy of the Duelist also has all cards available and they're only going to be putting DLC for any new addition due to Arc-V. All in all I'm saying they might have learned from Konami's mistakes and current choices with their TCG to Online trials.

Update: Bushi has confirmed extreme fight at the beginning. G regulation was kinda obvious.

Yeah, I'll probably stick to G-Regulation. I'm not much of a fan of Clan mixing as I'm into the core idea of Vanguard and the fight between various clans.
They have also confirmed that the game will be seeing the Clan Fight regulation once the older sets come into play. https://twitter.com/CardfightOnline/status/638295163266138112
