"........I see, so you were hiding this all this time...though why erase everyone's memory of the clans but not the memories of Yukino and the others who commanded those clans two months ago?" he asked.

"If your aim was to cause peace, wouldn't it have made sense for you to wipe their memory clean as well?" he asked, confused by the results of her actions.

Neu heard something strange. Hiding? "Wait, what?" she thought to herself.

"I haven't been hiding it, that's why it seems like I'm so tired of explaining why." She shrugs. "Also, I did wipe their memory clean, but they still remembered it for some reason, welp, sucks for them."

"I would not say that they're the only ones who retained their memory of the clans....most of the people I met including myself felt something missing as we continued on our daily lives, in a certain context we were not at peace." he said. "Besides I would not say that it sucks for them that they remember those clans."

Upon mentioning this he remembers something about Neu's style of play with a Vanguard deck.

"..Why do you think they or anyone else still felt, if any, a connection to their original clan?" he asked

"Well you see son, that's called living an unfulfilled life. Missing clans or not, you're going to feel like something's missing until you're an old geezer in a retirement home, that's life. Like for example, I feel like I'm missing a boyfriend," She added sugar to her coffee, a pizza delivery guy came to their table and gave her pizza. She ordered pizza and asked it to be delivered to her in the coffee shop. She gave the guy a hundred dollar bill and he ran off.

"Connection to their original clan? Must be another feeling. Cannot understand question. Maybe later."

While Neo continued to hear the conversation between Neu and Tsubasa. He had the urge to challege Neu to a cardfight, but he didnt want to interupt. If anything, he wanted Neu to drop some infomation on what the Rift was, because that was the only missing piece of this entire puzzle.

"Cmon Neu drop it, whats the rift exactly" Neo whispered to himself

"..An unfulfilled life huh, you're too quick to judge I have to say, but I will admit this much we as people really have a lot to strive for at this age, goals and all, but that is why we evolve with our clans, just as they evolve with us." he said.

"..I guess according to you this means that you're living an unfulfilled life as well, though I can see why you're at this current condition, after all I don't see your main clan anywhere." he said. "All you've been using until now are the decks of the people who you wiped their memories, maybe if you tried connecting to a clan other things would come naturally later on in life."

Amidst all this talk Tsubasa remembers one of the main things he wanted to understand.

"...Though I have to wonder, how does a person like yourself have the power to wipe people's minds and erase clans?" he asked.

"Too many questions. Don't think I'm dodging it right now, but too many questions, jeez I'm so bored...." She opened her pizza box and pulled out a slice. She then started eating it and looked around.

"Neo, get out here a fight me and show me this power you were trying to get or whatever." She commanded, gesturing him to come over.

"...Always secretive until the end I see, well when your feeling more energetic I want some answers, I appreciate it Neu." he said.

"..I'm just gonna watch this game unfold for now...I wonder what is this new power he is referring to." he thought.

Neo came out of his hiding place, took out his portable cardfight table and set his starter down.

"Im going to make you pay for everything you have done! This cardfight is for all the Vanguard fighters you hurt!" Neo said

But ill make you deal, If I win you have to give me all the infomation on the rift. If you win, I will help you keep the clans sealed. What do you say?" Neo said to Neu

"The Rift.....this is going to be interesting." he thought.

Tsubasa had never heard of the rift but from what it sounded like it seemed that it's one of the secrets that Neu was keeping.

When the cardfight began, Neo was determined to get as many answers from Neu as possible. But as the fight went on, he realized he was fighting for all the wrong reasons. Sure Neu did seal the clans, but outside of that, all she wanted was to have fun in her cardfights. When Neo rode his Dragonic Kaiser Vermillion, the usual storm that comes never came. Thats because Neo was playing with anger letting his emotions get the better of him. Then after seeing Dragonic Overlord and his evolution "The End" Neo then thought about it.

"The clans were sealed with reasoning. It stopped the war. Sure people are sad, but im starting to realize that this is better for everyone" Neo said to himself.

Another reason Neo started to overthink all of this was because of his parents. He started to think that the clans disappearing and the vanishing of his parents were linked. At this point, Neo was letting every kind of voice go through his head and without thinking, he said to Neu: "I will help you keep the clans sealed away" Neo said to Neu in the middle of the cardfight.

When the cardfight ended, Neo watched as if his life flashed through his eyes. All the friends he made, all the fights he had. It felt like he made a deal to keep everyones happiness away. But the voice in his head kept saying Do it.. Do it for your parents. You will do anything for them wouldnt you? The voice said. "Yeah.. I would" Neo said

Then at that moment Neo put his portable cardfight table away, picked up his cards and turned to Neu "I will help you, so what is the next move" Neo said.

Neu was utterly and confused and dumbfounded. This guy went two different ways in a matter of a few seconds. She was kind of just cardfighting and messing around along the way, it was really weird. She was just trying to enjoyed himself while her opponent had some kind epiphany from the lord and savior... awkward. She wasn't even taking the deal seriously, she just was tired of answering questions for a bit, but either way, seems good.

After the fight he inquired her about her next move, good question. She thought about it for a moment.

"Well, first off I have to throw away this pizza box and coffee cup... next... I might go on the uh... go check if I gained weight..." she paused for a moment in embarrassment, "....uhm, so most likely, I'll go home, freshen up, and probably just see if I should head somewhere later on tonight." She shrugged.

'Thats fine" Neo replied to Neu

Neo then looked at Tsubasa with a cold empty look

"Hello there its been awhile" Neo said to him

Tsubasa was intrigued at Neo's actions towards Neu, but he can understand why he did it, like him Tsubasa also has to care for his only family, that is the reason why he chose to make a 'pact' with Neu.

"It has, and I must admit the sudden change is surprising for a second there I thought I was seeing the usual Neo but now..." he said. "Regardless, what is this power you were reffering to?"

The power of the Rift... its the main source to all of this" Neo said

"Sure this is a strange power but its a powerful one, and its how Neu sealed the clans away" Neo said to Tsubasa
