(GS3) Field: Destroyed Shopping District
Cherry:
Once again, they faced off. Two of the most historical figures in Cray's history - two of those who led this generation as vanguards.
Ahmes and Overlord.
Though Ahmes was in golden trimming instead of his natural blue and white armory, that hidden blueness in his Royal Paladin days still shined for the duel of the colors that clashed over and over for eternity: Blue and Red.
Gold Paladin and Kagero fought a white-hot battle within the locked space. Though Liberators wanted to do everything in power to repel the phantom menace that was the Seed, Yugure led with absolute rage. Seeing Kagero didn't daunt her, and in fact, only served to further anger. Link Joker took almost everything from her, and they weren't done either. However, it wasn't the thought of not being harvested that drove the woman. No... Before her was still the body of her most cherished. The very sight of it signaled by her ferocious gaze that now was the time to strike back.
Refraining from bursting into screams, Alm and Fargo stared down one another. Marron and Gojo were next. Star Rain, followed by Gold Lancer proceeded to thrust themselves forward. Sera stated that her silence wasn't a good way to greet her loved ones. This thing wasn't Haruka, nor was it anyone else she loved. Nehalem and Bahr retaliated, taking out Gold Lancer. It only took the uprising of the fight's speed to make her change her mind.
Yugure didn't care that defeating Sera wouldn't realistically give Haruka back at this point. All she wanted was to have him back anyway.
Early in the game, Sera revealed an Overlord that baffled the paladins. The Black Ring was noticeable, but the sheer power the card emitting shook many of them. Was Dragon Empire's champion even Reversed...? That was the kind of force commanders of Link Joker gave off. This proved it: Sera was most definitely true leader of the Binding Forces. However, he could've been a footstool lackey for all the soldier cared. Gancelot appeared, taking the charge again with Exerado and Marron following behind. In response, the Seraphim summoned Haruka's avatar: the dragon whose apocalyptic flames purge everything... Dragonic Overlord. Seeing it sent a chill down everyone's spine. Now, in the hands of the invaders, its presence brought fear far greater than the beast instilled back in the days before the War of Liberation. Ahmes... was excited, however. Yes, of course he was. It's always the two of them, isn't it?
Taking the offensive, Kagero amassed a heavy assault on Gold Paladin. A number of things kept them together like glue. One major thing was definitely Gancelot, as he desired all along. Everyone followed his lead, playing safely as Sera didn't give Yugure her fourth damage. The woman had gotten an advantage with Criticals and Exerado having a large power stat that would've taken too much to stop. There were two precautions in not calling anyone next to Gancelot. One, she knew the power of Overlord's Break Ride firsthand, knowing her allies would be roasted had they stayed out there. Two, she would force him to give her the Limit Break damage. Most definitely... she and her buddy Gancelot would reach Haruka and Overlord. They had to reach her beloved and a warrior of Cray who lost his mind.
Overlord the Rebirth.
Dragonic Overlord, THE Яe-birth. The massive superdragon Crossbreakride that was beyond measure in strength. Dread washed over Yugure's paladins, even the ones that couldn't bare witnesses to the spectacle. Literally everything was annihilated in its wake, the very earth beneath its feet dissolving from its immense being. What in the hell was this monstrosity?! This was completely different from The End... It no longer fought with allies, locking all of its own rearguards like any other Reverse unit would. However, the devastation of its skill struck true. Ten thousand more power, and even another Stand. A massive 33000 powered behemoth that they couldn't stop. Mark wasn't in sight. He was actually in the backlines, fearful for his life, understandably so. A Critical even came Sera's way for the first swing, pushing Yugure to five damage - more than she wanted. That wasn't the actual problem. The problem was Overlord now stood at 38000, two Criticals. Yugure had miraculously healed from the first hit, and still found herself daunted.
... She couldn't give up though. All the hell she's been through, the invaders won't keep pushing around humanity. That was why the girl stood as a warrior of both worlds - to see everyone survives. Not only that... but even if she was bringing back a lifeless corpse, Haruka would return to her. Hana would return, Overlord would return, Ashlei would return, every last person was coming back.
The Liberators threw themselves into the fray, choking back their dread. Even if they would die, they wouldn't allow hope to be lost. It was still a worthy two-to-pass gamble in which Yugure had dropped everything. Overlord the Rebirth kept its Twin Drive, making it twice as ferocious as The End in terms of raw might.
But it didn't reach.
All these feelings were taken in by the wings of the world's bond: Gancelot Zenith. Even then, it was a great stretch. Yugure had only Grade 3 units and a Trigger. So they bet everything on their ace. Epona appeared for a Trigger lane with Alwira to make a desperate push. It was thanks to them and Alm, however, that the Ace of Light would get his shot. His one single shot in the game. Zenith's Limit Break summoned Blaster Blade Liberator at enough power to prove somewhat an issue for a Crossride's power. No triggers arrived, so they pressed onward regardless. Gancelot struck again, and finally, Ahmes shot forth like a comet.
"Haruka!!" Yugure called out to, then everyone called out for Ahmes to land the finishing blow.
When the Seraphim's sixth damage check was confirmed to not be a heal, everything washed over Yugure as if a meteor collided with it. That was exaggerating, but the pain of this war was immense. For a moment, she thought she had whited out. Eyes opened only in a world of pure white. An empty void... except them. When Yugure saw him... her mouth opened, but nothing came out. A sea of words wanted to flood forth, yet, silence. Then, the distorted cries of the Seraphim-Haruka argumentative fusion rang out. Her Haruka was alive...
He reached out.
She reached back.
After what felt like an eternity, the lovers had their hands joined together. Unable to hold his warmth before he vanished, the girl mouthed a phrase.
"I'm. Coming. For. You."
A threat to the Seraphim. A promise to Haruka.
The white space dropped, and Yugure was sent flying out onto the ground from the initial pain of the fight that came before the dream. Grunting in pain, the Chosen Sword lifted herself up a bit by her elbows.
Lips curled into a smile.
Cipher Izanagi:
Well it all seemed to be coming to a close, which was good. Seifer was starting to wear out with all the fighting, having pulled back and panting. He saw Yukino and Sera square off... But couldn't see what happened, nor the result of the fight since there was something blocking him from doing so. He waited anxiously for the end of it. Even sitting down in the middle of a battle and just stared. That being said, he had Dragruler protecting him. He wanted to help Yukino, and yet, couldn't. There wasn't anything he could do now. So he just waited, watching. When the barrier opened back up... Sera was gone, or disappearing... And Yukino was alright. She seemed okay at the very least, though she seemed worse off than he was. Standing wearily nonetheless, he made his way over, waiting for her to make the first interaction, after what she'd been through it only seemed right to let her go first if she chose to.
Jello:
He lay on the rooftop of the skyscraper he once stood on before his fight against Yukino. Haruka and Sera lay on the building in absolute silence, staring at the sky. The thing is, they're both too afraid to speak to each other.
One of them tried to destroy the people who the other one loved, whilst the other one died and just came back to life. Gripping the sides of his jeans, he clenched his teeth and kept quiet. Neither side wanted to break.
Haruka gave in first. Pushover.
"Why are you doing this? What happened to me? Why can't I remember anything, Sera please talk to me-"
"I did what I had to. I didn't want you involved in that anymore not after..."
"After what?"
More silence. If anyone saw this exchange of speech, everyone would think he's crazy for talking to himself. He is a strange in reality so that actually works fine.
"After I learned what it meant to be a human. To live like one. To know one's emotions. I wanted to keep you safe through all this. I didn't think you would.. Die. And then. Well."
...
"How did you come back?!"
The boy sat silently again. Haruka was going to try to convey death and coming back from it in a nutshell.
"It was a brief lapse of memory. If I was dead, I didn't know it. Felt like I was sleeping without dreaming of something. Coming back was... Someone was waking me up. I heard Yukino yell. I thought she was angry I overslept in bed again and then I realized."
Haruka recalled the fight. He was there towards the end, even when Ahmes attacked. That was Haruka taking all of it in. Due to the lapse of control, a white vortex imploded sucking the two inside of it, before suddenly dispersing and sending them away. Sera took the host body to a skyscraper, but Yukino didn't have that escape luxury and was blown away.
"You can't do this Sera..."
"Watch me."
"Stand down." They were pretty much immobile, unable to compromise on bodily control.
OverDrive:
The arrival of the angel and her companion only seemed to rile up the army that Oshiru led, they not only began to chime in with her but they also charged even more intensely. Diablo saw behind him what everyone was going through Yukino and Cero both had their own struggles to deal with and he did not want this incoming army to be the reason for their downfall.
With a strong motion of his hand he drew his card, "ENOUGH!" he shouted, as the force from his draw sent practically the whole army spiraling away as they scattered.
With the card in his hand he brought out the Warrior engraved upon it, "Blade of Phantasm! Descend now and and reverberate, I summon you Mordred Phantom!" he said, as Mordred appeared from the sky descending upon Freeze Ray stopping him in his tracks.
Now that the army and Freeze Ray were held back he was able to assess the situation better, what caught his attention was a figure that held an intimidating scythe, but he could notice a striking resemblance between him and someone he had fought before, "If you're looking for someone to torture then you'll have to get through me first." he said, as he faced the figure preparing for what might happen.
Spectre Diamond:
"Then so be it..." His aura exploded in ferocity as he raises his blade forward. He then rushes at the masked man. Running past other reverse fighter with his enhanced speed, leaping into the air as he brings his blade downward.
