(GS3) Field: Umano Underground Slums

Jello:
Haruka quickly grabs the gloves and puts them on. "Deep breaths. Deep breaths..." Haruka breathes in once, twice, thrice. He opens his eyes and stares at the man in black. "Let's do this then."

With modified rules in place, Haruka takes advantage of double drawing often. However, one thing he didn't count on was how quickly he managed to burn through his own cards. His weak smirk that he came in with quickly dissipated, while his opponent simply laughed. Upon taking damage, the gloves would push you further, giving you a light shock at 1 damage, and easily making your blood electrify at 5. The game was getting close, however things quickly went south once Haruka realized that he was low on cards in the deck. The fight was lost by deckout. Haruka was crushed, but at least he didn't get hit by the 6th damage electrocution.

"Now you see the difference in our skills," the man in black spoke, peering through his sunglasses.

Haruka clenched his fists and looked up. The flare was brighter than ever. A true rival. Somebody who would test his skills. Despite an alteration in rules, he still managed to lose the fight. This was a truly powerful, and ruthless opponent.

"This proves nothing, not by a long shot!" Haruka shouted. He looks his opponent in the eyes, while taking off the gloves. "I'll be back. You can bet on that."

The man's face no longer bore a grin. It was now wearing a truer smile. "Until then," was all he said.

"'Til then." Haruka spoke back, taking his walk of shame from the slums.

As Haruka made his escape from that humiliating defeat, he heard the voice. But it wasn't the same. It was more sympathetic.

Haru, you truly have gotten stronger. Your skills are lacking and you aren't exactly resonating with your deck. However, your resolve is strong. I believe you can be stronger. Much, much stronger. I believe you can save everybody.

Haruka snapped at those words. Save everybody. That's right. He must save everybody... No matter what the cost.

AP +2 for Hikaru (albeit, a rivalry has started between the two)

Spectre Diamond:
At the end of the fight Hikaru was a bit disappointed. It wasn't that the guy he was facing was bad but it was because of the fact of his over reliance on the use of the slum rules. The shocks weren't at maximum and was set at an average rate. He looks forward to crushing him again without the use of the underground rules.

Then Hikaru realized something. He forgot to ask the guy's name. He shakes the weird thought out of his head as he turns around to face the crowd.
"Alright which one of you is next?"

???(Haruka): +1AP

Lance Korilum:
After returning to his home for the night, Cero awoke to continue his...  Misadventures.  This time, while wandering, he found his way to the underground slums.  Too busy looking at his useless map, he bumped in to a couple of miscreants from the slums.

One of them, probably around 18, turned around with a sneer on his face.  "Watch where you're goin', punk!  Do that again, and we'll beat the **** outta ya!"  Cero was completely unfazed by this goon's threats and continued walking passed them.

The other one, a little older, in his twenties, turned to his partner and said "Think that punk's a rich one?  That outfit ain't common here.  Looks like a tourist too."

"Yeah, you're right!  Let's mug 'im!"  The younger of the two grabbed Cero by the shoulder and turned him around.  "You don't get to leave, rich punk!  Not without beating us in a cardfight!"  This reaction caused Cero to smirk.  Obviously these people had no idea who he was.

"I accept your conditions!  In fact, I'll take both of you on at once!"  Cero shouted in response.  "Anything less would not be fitting from Europe's King of Vanguard!"  The two men laughed at Cero's title and bravado, believing him to just be some nameless tourist trying to make himself look tough.  The thugs were confident in their victory, especially since he said he'd fight them both at once.  They lead Cero to a set of underground fight tables, and offered him a pair of gloves.

"Put these on, or you won't get the full experience," the thugs chuckled as Cero put the gloves on without a second thought.  One of the thugs, believing they'd beat Cero with ease, set the shock level of the gloves to maximum.  The fight began with Cero going first, and soon after, he realized that the gloves he was wearing would shock him severely each time he took damage.  However, while the thugs thought this would lessen his bravado, Cero simply smirked.

"I see, so the fights here have actual consequences.  You should've thought twice before challenging I, Cero Kirguis, Europe's King of Vanguard!"  The fight progressed quickly, with Cero absolutely demolishing both of his opponents with ease, even though they cheated throughout the fight.  "Weaklings," Cero mumbled as he turned around, removing the gloves, and began to exit the fight area, leaving behind the two unconscious miscreants.

Cherry:
How unsightly.

Ghastly couldn't describe how gloomy and disgusting this placed looked. Yukino would puke if she had to describe these delinquents in detail. Chained collars, piercings everywhere, gangly looking beasts of men. These people played card games? Entering the darkness of the slums sent chills down the queen's spine, she needed a shower two seconds upon arrival. Beginning to regret, she at least hoped Dalis didn't mind all of this.

Worry and fear, topped with disdain, turned into irritation. Seeing Europe's "King" again just made her stomach churn more than the place as a whole did. Mostly because he probably had the same idea she had, but he got here first... No matter, she wasn't here to deal with him anyway.

Turning a glance to a nearby fight, Yukino quickly noticed one of the fighters fiddle with the cards in their hand, stacking them, then drawing two cards as if it was one. Probably a form of the cheating they do here.

Dirty and unsightly. There was no one strong here, just cowardly and gross.

shirii:
"Why... here, of all places?" Dalis muttered under her breath, barely loud enough for Hikari to hear. She looked around at the dirty, run down slums. Hoarse, ragged breathing racked her ears and sent shivers down her spine. The dim light illuminated her skin, bathing her in some sort of golden glow. While the people here were far from impressive, she hoped she could inspire them go leave this disgusting place and pursue a grander life. Idly, she grabbed a spare deck close to her heart from her back pocket. She stared at the card, hearing no voices but feeling some other connection.

"This game is really something..." She whispered softly to Miracle Beauty, sighing and placing her back onto the deck, gripping it tightly.
