"Nah, I didn't..." Satoshi scratched the back of his head. "Kind of worried I let people down, but at the same time...maybe nationals isn't that important." He put a hand on Haruka's shoulder in addition to the one already gently stroking Yukino's. "Maybe...instead, the point was for us to all fail so we're together for whatever happens next. I know that sounds kinda sappy, but if I'm being honest..."
A single tear dropped from his eye. "If I didn't meet you guys, I would still be out here, all by myself, sleepin' on a park bench. Ain't that a hoot?..."

Good job boys, you made her cry even more with your sob stories.
The three of them wouldn't make it to the grand stage... they wouldn't fight each other, and she wouldn't fight Kirguis. Nor could she have her revenge on that idiot otaku. Having Haruka and Satoshi here... it made her feel worse and better. They were simply gathered as a circle of losers - of failure. Yet... it was so much better than being left alone. Satoshi suggested that maybe nationals don't matter for them, and this wound-licking trio had some purpose left.
How could she believe that? After what Haruka said...
Hikari was supposed to save people too. The savior of Cray, chosen by Royal Paladin to ward off the evil that loomed overhead, to cease the warring nations' quarreling... to end a civil war of the Sanctuary. Believing that she failed, "perhaps there's still more" rung through her mind. Make people proud and remember you... failing bringing people together...
What asinine logic.
Even so, the queen smiled through her tears.
"I'm... glad I met you two here", she spoke, expressing her gratitude. Giving a silent apology to Haruka for the Train Station racket, and a nod of agreement to Satoshi's notion... "Making people proud... making them remember you... meeting someone just for the sake of mutual proof of being there..." it was more than some food for thought.
The miraculous ideology and the acceptance of their losses bringing them together restored some of her spirit.

With that he noticed something he hadn't before.
A kind, tender feeling. The flame was no longer burning like searing in his chest or a hot flare in his eyes. It felt like a warm feeling in the pit of his stomach. He put his hand out to reach Satoshi and grinned. "You're right. That would be quite the hoot, huh?" His smile is known for being contagious, hoping it would help the other two break through.
Haruka never felt so alone in his life until his parents disappeared. He never felt like his uncle and aunt were anything close to a family. This was perhaps the closest thing to a family he would learn to rely on. For the time being, Haruka decided to give it his all, for the sake of his new friends.
"Friends, huh..." He swallowed hard. "Yeah. I like the sound of that."
Haruka turned his attention to Yukino once more. He kneeled down as she sat on the bench, and looked up at her. He blushed a little bit before making his announcement clear.
"S-So... What does Your Majesty need from her royal subjects now?" Trying to make the best of a joke he can, he also ends up a bit embarrassed. For emphasis on the joke, he ends up ruffling Yukino's hair, and patting her on the head. He looked at her, and then Satoshi.
"I'm glad I met you two here as well."

Satoshi bit back any more tears, despite wanting to let them flow because of his utter happiness that Yukino and Haruka cared about him the same way he was really starting to in regards to them.
He had never had real friends before. His cards, sure...they cared deeply about him, Seph was evidence of that. And his parents? Definitely. But he had never had the chance, as an only child, to share in laughter, play, and other emotional opportunities with other people. The fact that he had this chance now warmed his heart so much. He wouldn't have to sleep on a bench anymore in the cold with these two around.
Something about these two...like a brother and sister he never had...just sort of got to him in a good way, and a few more tears slipped out as he clasped both of their shoulders a little tighter.
"Th...thank you both...so much..."

Itou takes a walk in the Park to relax a bit before the National Tournament, after his short story with the card game known as Vanguard he couldn't believe he got into such a place. In a good mood he buys some ice cream and sits in a bench, while thinking of what he should do for the rest of the day, maybe help the workers again since it was a refreshing activity or something else...

After his hollow victory in the first round of the national tournament, Cero decided to wander around the park and collect his thoughts. When he first saw the brackets, he noticed that Hikari's name wasn't up there. In fact, the name he recognized from the list was Hana. Had she not been there because she didn't want to, had she not made it in time, or had she actually been eliminated from the qualifiers? Although none of the options appealed to him, he almost hoped she had been eliminated. At least that option meant there were formidable rivals within the national tournament, but that begged the question, who? There must have been two if it was that, so which two could it have been? Alone with his thoughts, Cero continued his walk through the park, hoping he'd find the answers eventually.

After his not-so-recent loss in the Nationals, Shiki went to the park for.. no reason really, there was no manga updates today, no new anime episodes to illegally watch on the internet like aways, and he didn't really have anything to do.
He went over to a bench and sat on it, not really doing anything other than relaxing. Even though he lost, he still enjoyed the game itself which was pretty odd, he saw Vanguard as nothing other than a dumb card game, and the only reason he entered the tournament was to get alot of girls after him
"
I guess it feels good to be able to beat people in something afterall..?
" he said outloud to himself, and went back to resting on the bench.

Haruki stopped at the park to see the bird's nest one more time. It was nice to be back here. The eggs were still in the nest waiting to hatch into baby birds. No new shiny items, but it seemed better that way. He hopped down from the tree and continued to walk to Card Capital.

As usual, Miyuki found herself at the park. Whenever she needed to think, this was where she came. Hana had won the National tournament right? So why did she feel like things would change a lot, for the worse. When she had met Hana afterwards, to congratulate her, it had seemed like something was bothering her. Miyuki hadn't asked however, due to it being just after the National tournament, and she didn't want to spoil her friend’s victory. Now though? She wasn't so sure.
She didn't even know why she felt so conflicted about this issue. Hana won the tournament, and she had been happy for her, very happy. And yet for some reason now, she felt like it would tear everything apart. There was just an underlying sense of doom, and she held onto that feeling.
Shaking her head, to try and dispel these thoughts, she moved on. 'I have to do something; otherwise I'll just dwell on this for ages'. Trying to motivate herself, she headed over to Card Capital, the card shop that Hana had shown her, to see what she could do. Whenever she felt lost before, Hana had helped her. This time, she felt that she couldn't talk to Hana about it, because it involved her. She had to rely on herself this time, so she decided to trust in her cards, and see where they lead her.

Kaze leaves the cardshop.
"
Well Jellal didn't show up, but on the bright side I met an amazing pretty girl today.
" Kaze said to himself smiling as he walked to the park. After the fight with Yukino he got to see how cheerful of a person she really was. He pulls out his Royal Paladin deck and started to look at it while remembering the fight he had with Yukino. "
She used Royal Paladins, but according to Jellal this isn't my real deck. So what is my real deck and where is it.
" he said to himself looking at the sky. The fact that Yukino knew Jellal bothered Kaze; he started to get more curious about the situation the more he thought about it.
Kaze arrives at the park
"
Oh well thinking about it too much isn't going to do itself any justice.
" Kaze said.
Yawns
Kaze had a long day possibly meeting the best girl ever and waiting for someone that wouldn't even show up. Kaze climbs up a tree and lies down looking up at the sky.
Yawns
"
Well today was a good day but I guess I'll rest here for the here for the night.
" he said.
Kaze falls asleep on the tree branch

Satoshi flopped on his park bench. Spending the night at Yukino's was not a thing tonight, unfortunately. But today was fun. Cardfighting was always fun, especially with his two new companions.
He kind of hoped someone would provide him a place to stay, though. It started to get chilly at night...
Seph poofed out of his pocket. "So I've been meaning to ask. Why here?"
Satoshi sighed. "Well...my parents kicked me out when I was of age. They love me, but tradition is tradition. If I go back now, I go back a failure."
"I see..." Seph didn't have much to say. He wished he could've somehow convinced Mr. Espoir to give the boy a place to stay, but...
Little did either of them realize tonight would flip Cray on its head...

In a moment's notice, it had happened. Time had frozen on Cray from the defeat of the Royal Paladins, the Knights, and Bermuda Triangle, the ruling clan, at the hands of Phantom Blaster Overlord.
And to Satoshi, it was Seph's complete loss of color that told him what happened. "D-did something happen on Cray?"
"... The Rift..." Seph shook his head, tears in his eyes. "The Rift chose its champion and struck down the leaders of the Council... Alfred and Pacifica..."
Satoshi shot up on the bench. No way. Those were the aces of the Espoir sisters. "You don't mean..."
Seph gravely nodded. "Cray's hope for salvation, lost from the girls you're acquainted with..."
Satoshi stared briefly. This was a time for tears, and yet... He looked at Seph, a stern expression on his face. "What about the rest of the Council?"
"They're...trying to determine a response...but I don't know what it--"
"I have a suggestion, then." He got up, stretched, and then started making a run for the Espoir estate. The girls would be there with Haruka, but he wasn't going particularly for them, even though he worried for their emotional state.
No, he had a warrior to meet. A lion.

Makuto decided to go for a walk as he started feeling better. Still having headaches from time to time, he didn't want to stay in bed for the rest of the day again. He reached his favourite bench and he sat on it.
Makuto then took out his lunch, a ham sandwich with ranch.
"The weather is really nice don't you think? We're heading out to find a good challenge after I finish my food." said Makuto hoping Akuma would listen to him even though he was mad about Makuto's deal with the Rift.
He looked at the sky as he took his first bite.

Stretches and Yawns from waking up.
Kaze stands on the tree branch. "
Man what a good sleep.
" he stated out loud looking up at sun. He then falls outta the tree and falls on the grass. Kaze hit the floor "Ouch!" he said as he rubs his head as he considers to be more cautions next time. He pulls out his Royal Paladin deck "
I feel like something bad has happened while i was sleeping.
" he said to himself as he looked throw his deck. He puts are cards back in the deck box and back into his pocket.
He looks around and sees people cardfighting and couples having picnics.
Puts hands behind his head.
"
Must be nice to relax we people you care for.
" he says looking at the sky wonder if he has anyone like that from his past. Thinking to himself "
Haven't seen Yuzuki in a while now that I think about it." "Also hope Yukino is alright as well.
" he said as he slightly blushes. "
And that bastard Jellal its only a matter of time before I find him and get my damn answers.
" Kaze said to himself as he put his hands in he pocket.
He goes to the food stand in the park for a sandwich and starts to stroll around the park eating his breakfast. (
Bacon, Egg, and Cheese
