(GS3) Field: Rijuku Park

[Crystalia]

The man, Geodude, or was it Satoshi? She couldn't quite remember. Anyway he seemed to be struck in silence by something. Shrugging, she just walked past him, and headed to the park. 'No point in waiting around for people if they are just standing still I guess'.

She started to walk around the park, with no clear goal in mind. Aimlessly, she ended up by the sand pit where they had met as a group a few days ago. In face, someone was on a bench here as well.

'Is that Haruka?' He seemed to be gazing at the sky. Miyuki debated leaving him alone, he seemed to be deep in thought, but decided to call out anyway.

'Hi Haruka, what are you doing here?'

[Jello]

WHAT?

Haruka was taken completely by surprise and nearly jumped off of the bench. It had been so quiet, save for the cicadas, he didn't expect anyone to show up.

"Wh-Wha... Oh, Miyuki. Hey, err, I'm-" Haruka stopped for a moment. He realized that he wasn't here doing anything particularly important.

"Uhm, I'm stargazing I guess. Want some ice cream?" This was sort of Haruka's thing now. He had ice cream bars and sweets and candy on him all the time. It wasn't even like he ate all of it, but so many people liked to steal food from him, he just decided to keep a larger quantity for said thieves.

Cough, Yukino, Cough.

"What about you? It's kind of late, and I thought you were hanging out with Hana or shometing?" Haruka's final words get sort of slurred off by another bite of ice cream.

She barely managed to contain her laugh after watching Haruka nearly fall off the bench. She hadn't realise how quietly she'd moved either. Him being deep in thought (or maybe he was just blankly staring) wouldn't have helped either.

'Ohh, Ice cream? Thank you~' She sat down on the bench as well, and took an ice cream bar from Haruka. Biting into it, she thought about what he said. 'Well, Hana said she was going to be busy doing something for a bit, so I decided I might as well go and do something. I walk around this park a lot actually, it helps clear my mind generally, and let me think'.

She paused a bit to have some more ice cream. Part of her wondered why exactly he always had them on him, but she wasn't one to judge. 'And yeah, I kind of woke up late as well' she laughed. 'Also, this is quite a good spot to look at the stars, you are right.' She gazed up at them for a bit, then looked at Haruka again.

'I don't know much about him do I' Miyuki thought to herself. She might as well take this chance to figure some stuff out about him. 'Well, I might as well get the big one over with first'.

'S-so Haruka, can I ask you a question? How exactly do you know Yukino, and what is your um relationship with her?' Although Yukino had briefly told her about how she met Haruka, she was curious to see if there was anything more to it.

[Jello]

Haruka nodded agreeing to the comment on the stars, until he heard the question about Yukino. He stopped midway through biting into his ice cream and looked at Miyuki, slowly but surely starting to blush up.

"E-Eh..... EH?!" Haruka actually was surprised at the question. "She's er, uhm, well you see, she's uhhh...." Haruka was stuttering and trailing off the moment he started to even remotely get close to answering the question. He calmed down for a second, and looked at the sky. It made it a lot easier to answer.

"She's... s-someone I really care about. It's sort of complicated I guess." Haruka recalls the event in the guest bedroom the evening before. He smiles and chuckles a little.

"Yeah, that's it. Somebody, I really care about, and would never want to see get hurt. And I would do what I could to prevent her from getting hurt too, if I could." Haruka turned to Miyuki and nodded. "And I'd hope she feels the same."

"Don't you have somebody like that in your life?" Haruka turned the question around, not particularly looking to find out her crush, but just to see what her thoughts on the subject were. He takes another good chunk off of his ice cream.

Miyuki felt that he was possibly not fully answering the question, but that was fine. At the very least he seemed like a dependable person, and seemed to truly like Yukino. Plus Yukino had accepted him as well. That was enough to warrant any person in her eyes.

She froze for a second when he turned the question on her though. 'Hmmm' she said, thinking. 'I'm not sure if this is quite the same as you and Yukino, but some that I really care about would be Hana I guess. She is my closest friend, and I would definetly never want to see her hurt. Other than her, I haven't really thought about it that much.

She stood up for a second then, and looked at Haruka one more time. 'Well, since you were just here star-gazing, why not do something? Not the most original idea I know, but how about a game of vanguard?' She had never played against him before, and she was curious to see how he was, figuring that even if he hadn't known how to play beforehand, Yukino would have taught him.

'I might not carry a table around me like Neo, but you know, double sleeves exist for a reason right~'

[Jello]

Haruka nodded. "Hana, huh? She's a good person. Despite making my life hell sometimes..." Haruka rolled his eyes and smiled. "She's cool too. So that's nice."

When Miyuki brought up the idea of a fight, Haruka noticed something. He heard Vortimer mumble something. "Do it. We gotta test our bonds, right?"

Haruka looked back at Miyuki, and nodded. "Sure, let's fight." Haruka was pretty excited for this, considering he was so sulky about being weak, a fight to get back on the saddle might do him a bit of good.

He agreed to right and the show began. 'Stand up, Black Dragon Whelp, Vortimer'. It was a Gold Paladin card, again a clan that she should have known well, but didn't. Shrugging it off, they started the fight.

Haruka rode Scout of Darkness, Vortimer. This card again seemed slightly different to Miyuki. And when he rode again, and retired his own rearguards to activate skills, it started to remind her of another clan. She couldn't quite picture what clan it was though.

Farah refused to appear in her hand, instead deciding to relax from the relative safety of the damage zone. She managed to fight back with a combination of Purple Trapezist, Jumping Glen and Quantum, however it was definetly not as good as it could have been. Spectral Duke showed his majestic form, and dealt major damage with his restand. In the end, she lost because she wanted to keep hand and not use her perfect guards twice, which ended in her guard being broken by two critical triggers.

Thanking Haruka for the fight, she sat back down at the bench, looking at Farah. Glaring at her slightly, she said 'Did you have to hideee. You would have been a great helpp.' Knowing this probably wasn't going to help anything, she was just a card after all, she looked away and smiled. At least it was a fun and enjoyable fight, the way Vanguard should be. The stars seemed to shine particularly bright, illuminating the night sky in a gentle light.

Haruka saw the double criticals, and felt Vortimer's power from the soul. All three evolution's had come to him without even a problem. They seemed to already be in sync, without much of a fight.

"No way..."

Haruka was definitely surprised at how fast Vortimer started to back up Haruka in the fight. Spectral Duke Dragon was in full power mode, he didn't even have to restand to finish the fight. However, it was only due to the fact that his opponent didn't unlock her full strength, and was holding Perfect Guards that she didn't use. However the fight was closer than she had thought. If she had 5000 more power in her final attack before his turn, he was a goner. One more trigger would have sealed the deal for him.

"Well, it was a good game Miyuki. Thanks again, that really helped me out... I sort of needed that kind of boost. A fight, I mean." Haruka genuinely smiled, glancing at her, and then back at the blanket in the sky, stitched with stars all throughout. It really was an enjoyable night. "Say, Miyuki. What are you doing around here anyways?" Haruka was genuinely concerned where Miyuki was even headed.

'Where am I headed? Wellll, to be honest I'm not quite sure. I just felt like walking around, I don't know what I'm going to do after this'. Miyuki never really planned her trips to the park anyway, they just seemed to happen. Whenever she was thinking, she just automatically walked towards the park, or something like that.

'But yeah, not really sure what I'm going to do. I mean it is late but hmmm. How about you?' Miyuki lay back on the bench a bit more, looking up at the sky and relaxing. It sure was a lovely night, that much could be said.

[Jello]

"Hoh... I, uh, well I probably should go find Yukino. I feel like she'd be furious if I didn't contact her after I did that." Haruka purposely left out what "that" was, not exactly trying to spread around the news.

"But I have no idea where she's at. Satoshi wasn't at the house when I woke up so I'm not sure where he's at either... Hmm." Left in a sort of thought-rut, he just drops it. "I'll probably call her before I go to bed or something." He looks over at Miyuki.

"This is the first time we've really talked, I mean, by ourselves. We're usually accompanying the party of Yukino, Hana, Neo and whoever else shows up. Weird, huh?"

Haruka pondered his independence for a moment, then realizes that he usually ends up finding them, not necessarily just running to their beckoning and calling, which makes him feel a lot better.

[Crystalia]

'Well, that is true I guess. I mean if I'm with people other than Hana, it's generally in a larger group'. She laughed, gazing at the stars as if searching for an answer. 'It's definetly not a bad experience though. Learning more about people who are close to my friends is good.'

When she registered Satoshi's name she paused though. Satoshi was the person Hana called Geodude right? She forced herself to picture him, trying to match the name to the face properly. Without opening her eyes, she started speaking again.

'Oh yeah, and about Satoshi, I saw him by the Espoir Mansion gate a few hours ago. I said hi to him, but he was silent, and just standing there, so I don't really know what's up with him'.

[Jello]

"I sort of wonder what they're all up to now that I think about it.." Haruka was worried about Yukino mostly. Normally Haruka's head was a lot of blank or empty space, just kind of picking up information. But today he genuinely was thinking of her and her well being. The thoughts lingered a bit longer until Miyuki brought up Satoshi.

"Just... standing there?" Haruka was actually a little bothered by this. "W-What was he there for?"

Maybe he had hard feelings about the situation the last night? Hm..

Regardless, Haruka tried to keep him composure. "Well, I hope he doesn't just stay there. He has to come home eventually... I think."

[Crystalia]

Noticing that Haruka seemed slightly concerned when he heard about Satoshi, she made a suggestion.
'Well, if you are really worried about him, we could go together to the Espoir Mansion. That way if he's still there, maybe you could see him. And if he left, he might have told a worker where he was going, or given some sort of clue.'

Besides, she had told Hana she'd meet her later, so going back to the mansion made sense in that regard as well.

'Obviously it's up to you', she shrugged. 'Your choice'.

"Well, we could go I suppose. Checking up on him would be a good idea." Haruka turns to Miyuki and smiles. "Yeah, let's go!" Haruka stands up and makes his way towards the Espoir Estate, taking a few steps and waiting for Miyuki to join him. "Whenever you're ready!"

[Helios]

Hazama goes to the park in the middle of the night. He gets puts his bag right in front of his eyes so he can see everything hes getting out. He pulls out his slepping bag and a little self-blow up mattress. On the bench, he lets the mattress blow up. A few minutes pass andthe matress is about 2 inches thick,  just enough for him to sleep comfortably. He lines his sleepong bag on top of the mattress and crawls in under the cloudless night.

So what if I dont come home. She wouldnt even care if i left the city.

He feels around his bag for a box. A box in particular he has always held dear. He finds it and takes it out of his bag. He opens the top and inside are 50 cards. "Don't worry,  I haven't let you go and never will. He puts the box back in his bag and starts to drift off.

12 hours pass when Hazama gets woken up by a finger poking at his side and a little laughter coming from the source. It cant be, can it? He opens his eyes to find Iri, his 14 year old sister at his side. "Iri, what are you doing here, mom is going to kill you if she finds out you left the castle," he says with curiosity and concern.

"Oh we don't have to worry about that," she replied. "Mom sent me to look for you using the Find My IPhone app."
"Wow," he said surprised. "You were the last person I would ever think of to come find me. So how do you like the city?"
"Oh, its great. The sidewalks are filled with shops and people and the roads have tons of cars. I love it."
"Well that's good. How about we go explore the city together."
"I was kinda thinking we could go to the amusement park."
"That would be fun, I heard it just opened today. Yeah we can go, I've got some money."
"Yay!"
"But first, I gotta drop my stuff off at my storage place."

The two siblings walk off together for a day filled with fun
