Haruka read the message. He only felt the need to send the one bit back then.
"So do i -haru"
Whether or not he meant it, honestly, even he didn't know. He could really only describe his emotions as twisted. Until the evening then...

A lot had happened so far since coming to this town. Darren was able to find his apartment that he would be staying in only to find that it was being fumigated and would be uninhabitable for nearly a week. In the meantime he would have to stay at a hotel. When he arrived there he found it was empty. Apparently his aunt, whom he was staying with, worked late night shifts. The odds of seeing her most of the time would be low in that case.
Now that it was the next day, he chose to look around the town and see what it had to offer. Of course, he was a bit of a daydreamer so he ended up in the part without much knowledge of how he got there to begin with.
It is nice though
, he thought to himself as he walked through the Park with his deckbox in his hand. He didn't know if anyone here even played Vanguard but he never left home without it.

Noel after finally feeling fully recovered, she finally decided to take a walk around the park to finish off her weekend before officially starting school tomorrow.
I can't stay in that hotel room and be a burrito all day! I need to at least walk around to get some fresh air. Who knows, I might be able to get my cardfight that I been wanting so I can finally test my new deck against a human opponent.
She had received an invitation to come over Seifer's house to just "hang out" but she wasn't feeling all too well that she decided to stay in her hotel to relax. It wasn't really too relaxing since the voices in her head kept replaying in her dreams every night. As Noel walked down the park, she noticed somebody walking with a deck box. She has a feeling they met before but didn't bother thinking too much on it since she probably found what she was looking for. Someone to cardfight.
"Hey!!!"
the black haired girl called out from a distance and caught up to him,
"I know it's a little random and out of the blue but I couldn't help but notice you having a deck box on you. I'm assuming you are a cardfighter too right? How about having a fight? My name is Noel and I am new to this city still so it would be fun to pass the time with a little fight if you don't mind."

The call of a girl made his eyes widen as Darren turned and saw her coming up to him. She seemed familiar, but it was probably just nothing. She was also very forward.
I didn't even know how big cardfighting was here before now,
he thought to himself. He gave a light smile as he was never one to turn down a challenge.
"Sounds good to me,"
Darren said as he held his deck up.
"My name's Darren, Darren Shurensei. Probably best to know your opponent before a battle, right?"
He had wanted the chance to see how his deck would fair here. He knew nothing about the style of Vanguard in this area and this would be a great chance to learn.

"Alright!!"
Noel said pumped up. This was the first time she has felt excited over something so small. It was nothing out of the ordinary, it was just a cardfight which she already had experienced before. For some reason, this fight felt like it was worth being pumped up before. Maybe Noel is finally gaining her own identity and is being how she truly is. A young girl who is happy to meet random people, make friends, have cardfights, and best of all, enjoy the simple life.
I don't know what this feeling is... but I like it... this city has opened my eyes... the people, the atmosphere, just everything overall is so peaceful. No one seems to be worried for the slightest on what will happen tomorrow or even afraid of someone of higher power barging in and shutting them down because they didn't have enough money. I wish back home was like that... if only father wasn't so...
Noel didn't want to finish her thought and her smile slightly disappeared.
Noel then turned around and found a fight table near the lake and led Darren to the table where they placed their decks and starting vanguard on the field. Both fighters shuffled their decks and drew their opening hands, returning and fixing their final hands.
"I hope you are ready! Stand up the Vanguard!"

While exploring the area Khudus had stumbled upon the park. He was getting tired and annoyed. He saw an empty park bench and just sat on it and sighed.
Congrats. As if you couldn't get anymore lost then you were you go either further.
he leaned back and just stared at the sky. While staring up he felt at peace and even more relaxed then before.
Oh well can't say it's that bad. At least it's nice and peaceful here. I should remner this place. Might be good place to go.
He sat up straight after a while and took out his deck case. He opened it and took out all the cards. It was only when he got them all out he noticed something was wrong. He looked through all the cards and saw that only Ethics Buster was there. All the other cards were not his. They were of a different clan. As he was checking them all out a piece of paper fell out. He picked it up and recognised the handwriting immediately. It was from his sister. He read the note out loud not caring if anyone was nearby or thought if he was weird.
Borrowed your cards so a friend can win a school tournament. Left Ethics Buster with you as he is your main card. Bali
he just stared at the note and started to laugh. He was in a new place as a Canguard fighter and he had no deck. He stopped laughing and just stared up.
Jeez what a bad first few days. Things can't get any worse can they?

Darren put his unit down with a grin,
"Ready when you are!"
he called out, excited for the battle. He flipped his unit up and prepared for the fight.
"Stand up, Vanguard!!"
The battle raged but the moment he saw a particular unit, he knew who he was fighting.
"Did you say Ashlei?!
" he called out. It was the one from the train station, when he got the ticket date wrong. He couldn't believe she would be here of all places. It really was a small world. This made him even more determined to fight his hardest.
Ashlei's sword struck at full power not once, not twice, but three times. Darren was able to guard two and with his avatar as his Vanguard, he was able to stop the second one... or so he thought. With two triggers, her blade struck through all in her way and struck Daikaiser, ending the battle. Even though he lost, Darren could only smile.
"You're even stronger than before. That was so much fun!"

"Wow, I didn't think you of all people would end up in this city as well. Almost like this city is attracting cardfighters from everywhere, kinda weird if you ask me."
Noel said with a little bit of laughter as she put her deck away. They met before, Darren had his trip date confused so he arrived at the train station a few days earlier than he should. It was a little weird because how is that possible? The date is clearly printed on the ticket. It didn't matter now, he is in this city as well for his own personal reasons that Noel has no business in knowing about. When they met at the train station, they didn't really introduced themselves and just started fighting to kill the time until the train arrived. Noel won with a nicely timed Limit Break from Fearless Jewel Knight, Julia which allowed her to get in a fourth attack from her avatar Ashlei and deliver the final damage. The same thing happened again, this time now they introduced themselves and their ace units once again faced off with Ashlei delivering the final blow to end the fight.
"I've met all sorts of people here in the little time I arrived, it's good to know that I'm not alone. I'm glad people can see me for who I am, I'll do anything to keep things this way. I guess that's what helped me get stronger..."
Noel said relieved that everything is looking up for her and is eager to see what happens next. What new person will she meet? What sort of strange adventure will await her? The thought of it started to pump her up more, a feeling she has never felt before.

The following morning, Rosalia woke up in her home and dressed for the day. Because there wasn't any school (thank the heavens), she decided to wear one of her usual dresses. It was knee-length like the rest, the spring-yellow fabric just a few inches shorter than her curls. She wore matching flats as she adventured into the park after seeing the note Seifer had left, and the booster packs that he had left her. As the redhead wandered in the park, her purple deck box was held tightly in her hands, as if she couldn't believe that last night, nor that the cards in her hands were actually real. The box itself though was finally bedazzled with silver wire in the shape of a crescent moon, and a few sparkly stones to represent stars.
I can't wait to show the club at school my new deck~ Not that.. most of them saw what it was before... Neo did though, and Seifer of course. So it still counts...
But as Rosalia explored the park, enjoying the quiet tranquility, it was broken with two people having just finished a cardfight. She didn't recognize the male, but the female...
"Noel?.. Noel!!~~"
She made her way to the fighters, stopping closer to Noel's side than Darren's, simply because she didn't know him.
"I-it's been a while, huh.. I didn't see you since after that uh... misunderstanding, here in the park?.. A few days ago?..."
Actually, given that they haven't seen each other for a few days, Noel (nor any of their friends for that matter) should know about her and Seifer-...
"S-s-so how've you been?.."

Darren let out a laugh as well at her comment. He didn't know Vanguard was such a big deal here. It made him want to grow strong enough to stand on the same level as her and the ones she was speaking of. Hearing she gained strength through meeting people here inspired him to do the same. As he put his deck into his box he looked at Daikaiser. The last time he battled Noel it was using A full Dimensional Robo deck with Great Daiyusha. After the battle, something about the power felt... strange. As if he wasn't ready for it yet. That was why he went to Enigman, the units that started his Vanguard life.
"I guess things have changed for both of us since that day,"
he said to Noel, remembering that her last deck was pure Jewel Knights. It was odd because it was a strong deck and she seemed to have a lot of control over it.
"I've only been here for a day but I can tell I'll like it. So, I wonder if you can help me get around... I'm kind of not even sure how I got to this park."
Darren was never good with directions. He was in his own mind so much that he easily spaced out. It was the main reason he got the date wrong on his train ticket. That as well as his own excitement.
He was stopped by hearing someone call out for Noel. He turned and blinked to see a girl that looked to be more his age than Noel was.
She seems nervous...
he thought as he saw her.
"Are you two friends? I guess this is one of the people you just mentioned, huh?"

Leaving from the hosiptal, Neo made his way to the park. There he noticed Rosalia and 2 strangers.
"Hey Rosalia" Neo said approaching her.
"How are you?" Neo asked
Neo also introduced himself to the 2 strangers.
"Oh Hello im Neo Isamu, nice to meet you both" Neo said with energy

"Yeah, crazy how a few days in this city can change so many things. I'm just hoping this new style of my deck can be enough to get me by for now. But yeah, I can help you out I guess. The city is pretty easy to go around if you stop and take a look at where you are going"
Noel said and as soon as she finished talking, she heard a familiar voice approaching. When she turned around, she saw a familiar redhead, it was Rosalia.
"Huh? Oh hey Rosalia, it really has been a while. A lot has changed since we last saw each other."
She said as she held her deck box tightly. And as soon as she stopped saying that to her, another individual approached.
Seriously? Where is everyone coming from? And who is this guy? He is way too happy and he calls himself Neo?
"Uhhh, I'm Noel Kusa--"
Noel stopped before she finished saying her last name again. It almost slipped since she is starting to become comfortable with her new life but remembered that part of her life should probably be kept away from others.
"Just call me Noel, hahaha"
She got nervous since this might spark curiosity and by the looks of this new guy who joined in, he might pry into it until he finds out

Rosalia jumped slightly when Neo appeared out of nowhere, the redhead scratching her cheek.
"Heyo, Neo. I'm alright, how've you been?"
she asked, though glanced between Neo and Noel with an awkward smile.
"A-ah... Noel, this is Neo, one of our, Seifer and me, friends. Neo, this is Noel, and she's uh, Seifer's sister.. As for..."
She trailed off again, glancing to the guy Noel had just finished fighting with a slight tilt of her head. He didn't seem much older than her, but then again, looks could lie. But if Noel seemed alright around him, he couldn't be too terrible, right?
"Well, I guess this is a bit hectic.. I'm Rosalia Mooncrest, and yeah, I'm a friend of Noel's. We didn't get off on the right foot, but I think we're okay now~"
So many people to talk to, so little time. She sighed silently to herself at the small group, her fingers playing with the deckbox she held close to her; a nervous habit.

"Looking at where I am going... probably not one of my strong suits,"
Darren admitted. He also took note that Noel and this Rose person seemed to have some kind of history. A lot must have happened within the time it took him to reach the city. At least it didn't lack in excitement.
"Neos... You're a new face. Energetic too,"
Darren said with a smile.
"Rosalina too... I didn't think a day in the park would lead to so much fun."
He wasn't use to so many people randomly appearing to say hi to him either but he didn't have anything against it.
"I'm Darren. I guess that's enough of an intro for right now."
He couldn't help but notice that Noel didn't want to bring up the rest of her name. He figured it would be better to change the subject before it became some kind of problem.
"You guys wouldn't happen to be Cardfighters or anything, would you?"
