Battle area > Grade System Event Version 2
(GS3) Field: Regional Hall
Golden Sage NovaRaizer:
Darren smiled at the match. Even though he lost, he pushed her farther than normal and tore through the enormous hand that she had made for herself. It was clear she was holding nothing back and he did well. It gave him confidence as well, making him feel like he really was getting better.
"It was a good one," he said to her as he put his deck away. "I still haven't caught up to you, but I feel like I'm getting better. That's enough to keep having fun with it." Darren always fought to grow and see how far he could go as a fighter. Seeing active improvement kept him going, win or lose. Now he had that.
Hope:
"That's good." She nodded.
The fight was fun as always with Darobo. His units rely a lot on coming back and winning from the heat of the moment unlike hers which gradually wears the opponent down. Strange opposites, but the match up boils down always being closer than it is. After the fight, she decided to move around and try a few more booths around the area. After a bit, she would have to leave the festival and maybe call it a day.
Golden Sage NovaRaizer:
Darren went in a different direction, going off on his own. He saw someone sitting at a table. He blinked as he seemed to be there alone with a Vanguard deck in hand. His face was covered so he couldn't tell who the person was. Feeling confident in his deck, he decided to challenge the person to a fight. He set his deck down with a grin.
"Wanna go a round?"
No words were spoken from the other side, just a unit set face down in the Vanguard circle on their side. Enough of an acceptance. Darren grinned as he was ready to fight.
In what seemed like an instant, Darren's damage was 6. He felt actual pain in his chest as the figure revealed a red blade that was on his back. It was covered by a cloak so Darren hadn't noticed before but now it was revealed. Darren held his chest as he fell to one knee. His body was engulfed in a black and red aura as he though, This feeling... Was this what Neo felt... It feels empty, but... strong... Darren kept himself from yelling out in pain. If anyone noticed this figure, they would feel what he was feeling now. He didn't want that.
Within moments, Darren stood, his red eyes had a slight glow for a moment as he gave a small grin. The figure was gone by the time Darren was back up. He looked at his deck, at Super Dimensional Robo, Goeagle. He held the two in his deck in his hand and ripped them right there. "There's no need for such heroes..." he muttered as he walked away.
Jello:
He sits on the steps of the regional hall, shakily holding his cell phone. A message quickly written and sent to Satoshi was sent for their meeting. He was the last target before he could finally find some rest; allow others to do some of his work for him. He was a weary soul, expending rapidly expanding amounts of life force, the original host's life force, in order to lock up the hearts of his comrades. Stabilize them, perhaps.
"Soon..." He rubs his thumb against the top knuckle of his hand, raggedly breathing. What was pale skin and white hair was now snow-leaden hair and skin void of melanin. The only reason he hasn't be instantly sunburned was due to the umbrella he brought to keep from rays.
Beryl:
The message was received. Satoshi showed up, wearing a darker coat than usual. This was all prepartory. According to Cheru, today was the day, and he had to look the part for it. A pair of sunglasses adorned the top of his head despite this long coat. Sure, the sun was a little brighter today, but it was almost as though he was looking to become a shady figure.
His hand had started to burn as he passed by numerous creepy figures with red marks on their faces and an eerie glow in their eyes. Was this what it meant to be locked away? Even so, these people weren't necessarily violent against each other, but had a stronger passion for Vanguard...strange, given what it usually meant for an evil power to rise. It was definitely creepy to observe from the outside, though.
Noticing Haruka on the steps, he gave a short wave and walked up. His friend looked paler than usual, as though something was definitely the matter.
"You called?" he asked, regarding the text.
Inside, Cheru was rubbing her hands together. "Alright, just a few moments, and..."
