Neu replied to the text:
Where are you at? I'll meet you there.

Satoshi's phone vibrated on the table. He smiled. Yukino promptly responded this time.
Oh, it was Neu. Actually, that worked. He nodded to himself. Neu was someone he could kind of talk to, even if it bored her---
"Wait, did she say 'meet you there'?!" Satoshi quickly threw a message back:
Wait, are you in New York, also? I'm at this coffee place, I think it's called Starbucks, at Times Square.

Promptly from the distance to the east of the coffee shop, there was an explosion of light in the distance and a group of people started running from the source. Neu casually walked from it, entering the coffee shop.
"Hello, having a nice evening?"

Satoshi blinked. That was much faster than he was expecting.
"I...yeah, sort of. I was about to go and get dinner at an Italian place down the street, actually. Did you want to maybe come with? It's on me."

"Uh, sure." She nodded.
Neu hasn't actually been needing to eat since the Rift's been having weird effects on her body aside from heir hair and her eyes. It seems like some needs are either no longer needed or become necessary in excess. She shrugged most of this off as it wasn't anything that was life or death. She stood there just staring at him, "So uh, lead the way."

"Sure thing." Satoshi ditched his cup of coffee, grabbed her hand gently and took her to the place in question. It was a tiny little restaurant just down the block. He grabbed them a table by a window and looked through the menu to order.
After figuring it out, he looked up at Neu, then sighed. She wasn't exactly who he had in mind to just spill to, but this helped put a few things to rest that he wouldn't be able to do with Yukino.
"Hey, listen...I know I was super skeptical of what you were doing and all that, and I did nothing but spit venom and hate at you blindly. I was worried you were going to hurt one of my best friends beyond repair, even after we helped her realize she was a person." He shook his head. "But...whatever you did, she's changed a lot for the better, even though I still haven't gotten a chance to make amends with her completely. So...thanks for that."
He smiled. "Being out here has helped me appreciate the fun of Vanguard a lot more. I get to go to places I've never been before with great friends and rivals and play the Vanguard of Companionship I've come to appreciate and love so much. Sealed or not sealed, the same would be true for me. So thank you, again, Neu."

"Uh, no problem." She wondered to herself what exactly what that one statement was concerning though, "Vanguard of Companionship?"
She relaxed herself on the chair as usual and looked around the restaurant. Times Square from the outside was just as she remembered it, a cluster of lights, advertisements, tourists, and traffic. It was in those situations that she is glad that she no longer needs to drive in order ot get to places, not that she actually drove by the law in the first place. Still, it feels good to be home.

"I've been getting some things ready, watching everyone all the while, also just trying to see where the world's Vanguard is going I guess..." She was looking rather sleepy though, but she tried to stay awake.
"I shoulda gotten coffee..." She looked down at the table, then lays her head down. "Man, where's the food."

"It'll be here eventually..."
Satoshi felt his hand reaching out to pat hers and thought better of it, placing his palm flat on the table. Neu did look really worn out despite being willing to come out and see him.
Actually, that was a good thing to ask about. "What made you want to come and have dinner with me, by the way? I totally forgot to ask."

Neu turned to him and thought to herself, hey green and orange eyes brightened up by the lights around the restaurant. There was the honest answer and one that would be flattering. She decided to go with the honest one.
"There was really nothing better to do." She shrugged, "So why not? Seems fun I guess."

Satoshi chuckled. "I appreciate your honesty. I know I'm not exactly the most exciting person to do things with, and I'm a bit too talkative."
He lightly patted her hand. "But thank you for coming out anyway. Means a lot."
Their meals came shortly after.

She sat up and looked in excitement. Its been far too long since she's eaten anything other than fish balls, not that there was a problem but a change, even for a bit was good. Neu picked up her fork and rapidly ate everything a matter of seconds. "Thank you," she said while wiping her mouth with a cloth. For now things were relaxed, but that would change soon enough. It wasn't long until the fate of Cray and Vanguard would be decided, so this was all welcome to her, at least she got to relax and be herself before having to do what she must for the sake of Vanguard.
"Well, uh yeah I didn't really feel that you were hating me or anything, maybe I did, but feels like its been awhile."

Satoshi finished up his plate not too long after Neu finished hers and smiled.
"At one time, I probably did think you were out to get us. But now, honestly? I couldn't tell you. If anything, you seem like someone who just wants to make sure everything works out for the better. Even if we are trying to unseal the clans."
He paid the bill with a hefty tip and got up to walk out, stopping just before the door. "By the way, if you're wondering what 'Vanguard of Companionship' is..."
He turned and gave a peace sign and a wink. "It's the reason I play Vanguard. I learned it recently and it's made my life so much better. Here's hoping you find yours."

"Out for everyone?" She took a deep sigh. Her purpose now isn't to make sure that the clans remain sealed anymore, the past few months have shown her all kinds of fun and adventures people can have with Vanguard. If anything, she wants to just make sure that when the clans do get unsealed, the world is ready for them. Though there was idea knocking on the back of her mind.
With my power, I can just create the ideal world myself.
"This is to hoping that the chosen prove me wrong and show me a Vanguard worth following."
Well, his last tatement was all kinds of strage as Neu had already found her Vanguard, that was the entire reason that she was the way she was. The Vanguard of the Collective.
