Battle area > Grade System Event Version 2
(GS3) Field: Hotel
Golden Sage NovaRaizer:
Darren nodded as Xat went to the door and then stepped out. It was probably best he had a moment alone with her anyway but he didn't like that her cold personality returned the moment someone else appeared. That's something to remember for later. When Seifer came in, he looked at the male and saw his red eyes. He looked like he had something serious on his mind. With his opening line, he couldn't help but laugh. Not the best way to start a conversation but not a false statement either.
"It happens when you're one third of a battle between two giant dragons and a super fighting robot that's just as large." He looked down for a moment as he moved his hand onto his stomach, his heavily bandaged stomach with his heavily bandaged arm. Yeah, he really was a mess. "You probably wanna hear about the text I sent... I know Yugu... I mean Yukino wanted to know about it. Or... does it have something to do with what happened at the Shopping District?" The last part was a fairly open ended question question but he was of course talking about Seifer throwing away all of his decks.
Cipher Izanagi:
The brunette stared at the male quietly for a few moments, somewhat getting the gist of what Darren was getting at. His phone buzzed, but he didn't check it. Not yet. "...I'm almost not surprised you noticed I threw them away, but I guess that's why I came here." glancing up at the ceiling above he thought about where to really begin. "...So probably one of the other Generals..." he sighed looking out the window before back to Darren giving him a moment to guess where he was going with it before out right saying it. "The reason I threw away my decks is because I'm one of them myself. With everything that happened at the battlefield... Me losing control a while before that as well. I felt to... Weak. I couldn't protect anyone, and hell..." he pulled up his shirt a bit, revealing the scar on his stomach before dropping it. "I couldn't even protect myself. Though, admittedly this was... self inflicted." actually now that he thought about it, just what was the reason he revealed it? Anyway, he waited for Darren's answer.
Golden Sage NovaRaizer:
Darren remained silent and let him speak. It didn't take long to confirm that they were on the same page. The moment he said "other generals", Darren looked at him with confusion. How could he say other first unless... He confirmed it with what he said next. Looking at the scar made it worse. Darren thought he had problems. That was probably going to be there for a long time. Darren looked down before he took a deep breath.
"I guess you're a victim of all this too... in your own way, he said lightly. "Even if you say you did it to yourself, this situation gave you the opportunity to do it in the first place. Things like this don't happen on their own. He tried to sit up, wincing as he did so as he continued on. "I can only assume that you threw them away so you couldn't hurt Rose... Yuki, and all the others. I mean, I would probably do that in your situation if I didn't see an out. But at the same time...
He turned to Seifer, looking him dead in the eye with a serious expression. "If you don't do anything, people are going to keep getting hurt. That's what I told myself after I came out of the Reverse. If I just sit and do nothing, others will face the same fate. If you really try that hard not to be a General, who's to say they won't get someone else that's more willing? And without you there to help... I mean, Yuki lost today... I know she and everyone else need everything they can get. And let's be serious... you've got a much better chance at making a difference in this than I ever would." By his tone and words, he obviously wasn't angry at him, nor did he distrust him. With all that happened, he understood his reasoning. At the same time, his comics taught him, With Great Power, Comes Great Responsibility. If he didn't take responsibility and do something about this, who really would?
Cipher Izanagi:
Seifer sighed out softly shaking his head for a moment before looking out the window. Surely he made sense, but he didn't actually understand. Might as well explain starting with the scar. "I shouldn't be alive right now." that came out of no where. It seemed out of place. The male hesitated for a moment before looking back at the male. "Yuki nee-san was in a fit of rage, to the point that it would be impossible to calm her down without doing what I did. I just did it. I didn't think about the consequences, my body just acted. I let myself be impaled on the blade, since I couldn't get to her any other way and hugged her so she couldn't move away. ...My existence as a general... That revelation coupled with the reverse fighter that was there at the time drove her over the edge. ...It was my existence." he cut off at that point looking out the window. "...I died there. And yet somehow I'm still here... Like some kind of fairy tail." he intentionally left out key details, like the light but oh well. "My existence hurt someone I considered family. So how do you explain that?"
Golden Sage NovaRaizer:
Darren looked down at what he said. There wasn't much he could even say to that. The idea that he died, that the scar was a fatal one and somehow he was back here and now. From being teleported up a mountain to manifesting a giant robot to punch a scythe wielding clown dragon in the face, Darren wasn't going to disbelieve his words. At the same time, the idea that him being around hurt people...
"I'd start by saying that your death probably would hurt them a lot more than anything you could do in life... What you did was pretty stupid, but I've already done close to the same since being here. As far as you being around, in my comics... and it might be weird to compare this to those... even if the hero is at a point where they should die, they find a way to come back. That's because they still have something important to do. Maybe you're still here because there's something important YOU still have to do. Are you really going to be able to do it if you give up now? Even if you are one of them, if that's your fate... isn't it your choice at the end of the day whether you do that or not? I mean... I saw when you lost control, but if that is a part of you, isn't there a way to at least take the General out even if not the whole thing?"
