Trouble Saving Decks

I am having trouble with the new 1.85 update. with 1.84 i could at least create new decks even if the rules and card list weren't entirely up to date, but with the new update i downloaded the full version and it won't let me save any decks.
It doesn't matter if its a new deck or if it's one of the defaults, the moment i click save the program freezes and become non responsive.
if i click new deck it's even worse because then i can't even back out of the deck editor, the moment i try it also freezes.
and unfortunately because of a friend's suggestion in trying to make it work i deleted 1.84 thinking it was interfering with the program. -_-
so now i can't see whether combining the 1.84 full program and the 1.85 patch would work.
I am a mac user, so i had to use the wine bottler program to convert it to something i could use. and before anyone says that is the problem, i will say right now i was able to successfully use 1.84 using the SAME program. and for those that also use wine and are going to ask: yes i bundled all the files in that folder and not just the .exe, otherwise it won't even run.
i am getting very frustrated as i've rebooted, reprocessed the program using wine bottler twice, and have also even redownloaded it and processed the new copy.
i am getting very angry here, and very frustrated, and i would honestly love some form of help.

it's a mac....it doesn't have an antivirus. O_o
they literally haven't had a need to yet because they're pretty much not targeted by most virus makers.
