Making your own Server

Hello, this is my first post into the the forums but I have been an avid user of cf area for years now. I was wondering if there was anyway to make your own server just for private use, and if so how does one go about doing this. Any answers are greatly appreciated and I thank anyone who takes the time to answer me back in regards to this issue.
