Name: Joshua (Josh) Hundorous

Personality: A very energetic person, but usually goes along with the crowd to try and fit in.

Backstory: Joshua is the eldest of three siblings and the only son of Alexander and Julia Hundorous. All throughout his childhood, his family moved a lot due to his parent's lacking pharmaceutical business in order to hopefully find an area with people in need. He never really kept any close friends, except for one. The reason he didn't have any close friends was for two reasons. One, the most obvious, is he never stayed in an area for a long enough time. Second, many judged him as if he was attracted to guys. Which in the placed he had lived was not very common. His best friend, however, kept in touch with him as he moved through the many different cities. His friend, Nate, was not the most popular, which is why he might have stayed friends with him. Their also may have been some affection between them, though Josh will never find out.
                    Josh discovered Vanguard when he moved to a city when he was 15. When he saw his parent's new shop in the newer city (he often forgets these names because of the many places he has been to), he saw a Cardfight Vanguard deck sitting in the middle of the room.

"Dad?" Josh asked, "Did you get this for me?"
"No," Alexander replied. "It was here when we first got the keys to this suite."
"But wait... the realtor said this place has been on the market for like a year."
"I guess she just told her customers to leave the deck their until a person buys this shop."
"Yeah, I guess so."
Josh picks up the cards.
"Black Shiver, Gavrial," he read aloud. "Huh... So it must be that the previous owner had the same profession as you guys. Pretty cool."
                   
                    To this day, he still plays with the same deck that was gifted to him a year ago, but with some minor changes of course. In the present day, he continues his studies at his local high school. Though it is the same as usual, not too many friends and everyone thinks he's gay. But sometimes he can't even deny that because what might have happened between him and his best friend if he were to stick around.

Personality: His personality is somewhat childlike. Very sensitive and can be easily played with. He's also a very hardworking person, being always ahead than anyone else in cases he gets assigned in. Despite that, he has a habit of trying to solve cases all alone, leading him to his trouble. Whenever he solved a very confusing case, he'd always get told that he's just pulling theories out of his mind. Despite all that he always stays loyal to his co-workers and bosses.
Backstory: Ace, the son of a very famous detective. Ever since he was just a child, he looked up to his father. He'd always try to immitate his actions. But whenever he'd boast about his father and how he'll become the next biggest detective, he'd get bullied by his peers. Lots of bullying and picking on Ace, lead him to get very demotivated about growing up and becoming a detective. It also lead to him closing up to himself and not expressing his feelings to anyone. After school, he'd always stay shut in, eating barely any food. Of course his parents got worried but they didn't know how to deal with the situation. His dad especially was the most worried one. That led to him inviting his son to multiple investigations but to no avail.

Some years later. A tragic thing was brought to Ace's life. His dad had disappeared. Ace at that point, realised a lot of wrong things he did in his life and took the matter to his own hands. He investigated the case with little to no infomartion. The detectives couldn't find his father in the end but Ace found one thing that he left behind and that was a vanguard deck, a Dark Irregular deck. At that moment, Ace vowed to become a great detective like his father and always help those in need. He took on his legacy and started working his way up to become the greatest detective, the ace detective. And lastly, his most important goal is to find the person that possibly harmed his father and also dropped the Dark Irregular deck.

Name: Dante Hiroto

Personality:
As a young boy Dante always has been very social, friendly and outgoing. Now at the age of 20, that has only changed slightly due to an incident that occurred in his family's line of work. Still the young man knows how to treat people fairly, friendly, reserved and so on. Although even today at his core he is playful and enjoys a good laugh and a good time. All of this does not stop him from taking his work seriously, he refuses to let the pride and members of his family be harmed above all.

Backstory:
Dante was born in the main family tasked and entrusted with defending the Diablo armor and weapons, out of his 6 siblings he stood out with the most affinity for using the EXD for offense and defense. His fascination towards the style of the Dragwizards drew him to that faction, it also helped that his family were mostly made up of Dragwizard users. A long time has passed since a prodigy was born in the family of protectors who can utilize almost any unit he was asked to use for offense and defense but Dante excellently proved himself as such with his results.
He had trouble maintaining time for his training and cardfighting given how much of a social butterfly he was at a young age, it would develop into tardiness even though he would always get the best results when he did train. Though after the 12th assault on the armor he seemed to change a little. It was the same day that he managed to summon a rare and powerful unit to help stop the assault, however the day he gained someone was the day he lost another. The loss was very heavy on him, he was in tears, depressed and refused to interact with anyone for two weeks, except his new-found friend from the incident since he stuck to him.
“Are you going to simply admit defeat?”
“…What would you have me do?”
“What would you have done?”
“….”
The 13th assault was the day Dante returned from his isolation from his friends and family, fueled by the desire to not have any casualties from actions of greedy and malicious people and units alike. “Arise my avatar! Dragheart Luard!” was all that was heard to end the 13th assault as a seal appeared on the left side of his chest, and from then on he devoted to try and master the power he could draw out from the EXD for Luard and Diablo. That was 5 years ago. He has been more committed since then and slowly began to loosen up overtime, as he tried to enjoy the game aspect of Vanguard, his smile returning and his hopes reviving even if he sees himself as someone without much of a purpose and just a “shield”, but he’ll gladly take that if it means he can keep those he cares about safe.
“I will not forget your words and someday, I’ll find you.”

Name: Mikazuki Kamikage

Personality: Mikazuki is the type of guy to go with the flow living life day to day taking what comes at him when it comes to him. He is a hard working guy who doesn't believe that being born with talent makes you great but those who continuously work to get better are. He doesn't take things for granted and is pretty opened minded about things as long as he as enough information about the subject. Mikazuki won't normally take sides in things and tends to stay neutral as much as possible. He can be a bit too straightforward with his words and doesn't really care about people's social status. If he likes or dislikes someone or something he'll let you know. Although he isn't much of talker in the first place so he tends to get to the point quickly and doesn't like long conversations.

Backstory: Mikazuki is the illegitimate child of a famous Shrine Maiden, named Yuki Kamikage. The Kamikage are the main family tasked with keeping all Shinto shrines in check, in other words, the leaders of all Shinto shrines. Yuki had fallen in love with another man, a foreigner at that which was even more taboo. Yuki was seeing him behind her family's back but the Kamikage found out and made him disappear. Soon after she was found out to be pregnant with Mikazuki. She ended up having him but died shortly after giving birth to him. He was placed under the care of the main family.

The main family shunned Mikazuki for most of his life. He was treated differently from most of the family and was basically a servant for the main family. He did odd jobs around the family’s multiple shrines. He had to work for his keep even though he had the family blood in him.

One day when he was 8 he was cleaning a shrine and accidentally stumbled into a room. The room had some of the head family in it as well as Amaterasu, Tsukuyomi, and Susanoo. Mikazuki wasn’t allowed to much free time so he didn’t know much about vanguard. He sat there and just looked at the 3 in wonder. The head immediately kicked Mikazuki out before apologizing. Susanoo was kind of in a daze after seeing Mikazuki. She demanded that they bring him back in here.

The family followed her orders and brought him back in. Once he was back in Susanoo made a contract with him. Mikazuki didn’t see a reason to reject it and let it happen. The family, on the other hand, tried with all their might to interrupt it but were stopped by Amaterasu and Tsukuyomi. The family tried to stop it because only true members of the family could be paired with those 3. Mikazuki's hair changed to white and he was given the ability to see into the future and summon Susanoo's sword if needed as a sign of his contract with Susanoo.

After this Mikazuki was publicly brought into the family and was trained in many things so he wouldn’t bring shame to his family. It's now 8 years later, Mikazuki traveled to CLA to go around checking in on branch families and taking care of some local shrines. He lives day to day hoping that nothing bad will happen.

Name: Flame Ignis

Personality: Hotheaded, inconsiderate, loud, headstrong, impulsive and short-tempered. Is quick to get into a fight and has a delinquent-like attitude. He goes out of his way to entertain his audience and often treats his opponent has little more for entertainment for himself and his fans. Despite his hotheaded tendencies, Flame is generally laid back, lazy and uninterested unless someone peaks his interest in which he becomes very impulsive and narrow-minded. Finally, he has an enormous ego which becomes apparent when dealing with people who aren't on his level. Likes: Fire, taking naps, Hates weaklings and people who hold back. Favorite Saying: "Solve it with fire!"



Background:
He is a strong fighter whose theatrics and skill has gotten him a lot of attention. His hot-headed demeanor and rudeness toward his opponent has given him as many haters as fan and he is a controversial topic among people who follow strong fighters. However, for the longest time he has not chosen an avatar saying that none of them could match his intensity. It wasn't until he met Dragonic Blademaster in a chance encounter did he meet someone whose soul blazes as hot as his own. Ever since his chance encounter he has been quick to take risks and doesn't mind believing in luck.
