I need advice on my Shadow Paladin Deck

(1/2) > >>

crossflames:
So far, this is the deck I made that doesn't require a Legion and is pretty decent in my opinion.

Grade 0's: (17)
Creeping Dark Goat (STARTER) x1
Revenger, Waking Angel (STAND) x4
Awakening Revenger (STAND) x4
Revenger, Air Raid Dragon (CRITICAL) x4
Healing Revenger (HEAL) x4

Grade 1's: (14)
Witch of Nostrum, Arianrhod x1
Transient Revenger, Masquerade x2
Sacrilege Revenger, Berith x1
Revenger of Darkness, Mac Lir (PERFECT GUARD) x3
Hatred Prison Revenger, Kuesaru (QUINTET WALL) x1
Buranbau Revenger x2 (10k Booster)
Brunt Revenger Shadow Lancer x4

Grade 2's: (11)
Overcoming Revenger, Rukea x3
Revenger of Darkness, Rugos x4
Revenger of Nullity, Masquerade x4

Grade 3's: ( 8 )
Halberd Revenger, Peredur x2
Illusionary Revenger, Mordred Phantom x3
Revenger, Dragruler Phantom x1
The Dark Dictator x2

This deck can work no matter when you guard (early, mid or late-game) The point of this deck is to bring out the Dark Dictator to give about 25000-30000 power on the field. (10000 power to vanguard by breakride, call a unit by breadride skill and give it 5000 power. Then, Use Dark Dictator's soulblast to give two front row plus 5000 power) This play style can increase rearguard power by using cards such as Self-Controller Rakia and Overcoming Revenger, Rukea or this play style can give you more units than your opponent by using cards such as Blaster Dark (Revenger) and Morale Revenger Dorin. Arianrhod is placed into this deck in case I draw it and ride it for my grade 1 (redraw a card)

Revenger, Dragruler Phantom is placed into the deck to possibly deal 1 damage with its skill and combo with Blaster Dark Revenger (If I plan to add more copies of Phantom in and put in Blaster Dark Revenger)

Grade 1 Masquerade for attacking 9k rearguards that gain 3k (mostly my opponent will protect their rearguard)
Brunt Revenger Shadow Lancer is used to drop 'useless' grade 3's and add in more copies of Mordred Phantom into my hand so I don't drive into a grade 3 (I often never get a trigger in my drive check when playing and I don't get 'luck-sacks'. This tactic allows me to shuffle my deck and get triggers easily in drive check)
Next Buranbau is used in a combo with Halberd Revenger, Peredur in case the situation doesn't call for a powerhouse unit such as the Dark Dictator or I use this the turn after riding Dictator. I can retire my 'useless' grade 2-3's and call for a unit such as 'Blaster Dark Revenger' which will give me a +1 advantage or +2 depending on the situation.

I'm still pondering on whether to keep in the quintet wall or switch it in for another perfect guard and I question if i'm using the right amount of 'certain' triggers. Whenever, I want to perfect guard I always happen to have the Quintet Wall in my hand and I think it's too much for the situation. There has been a few times where I drop the Quintet Wall and redraw with Arianrhod.

So I need opinions please, how can I edit this deck? Some units have been placed there to fit in certain zones. I have considered adding in Blaster Dark Revenger but then that may possibly change the flow of this deck and the motif around the deck that empowers it. (Dark Dictator)

WaiterFang:
When it comes to a shadow paladin deck, whenever I make one, I usually prioritize having units that can superior call to strengthen my field and reduce the effect of retiring costs.

I'm not much of a fan of having only one copy of a card because I'd feel like I wouldn't see a card enough of the time to see how well it truly affects the deck.

This is just my opinion but maybe try testing out how much the counterblast of the quintet wall affects how well your deck works. I tend to be counterblast heavy when i use my shadow paladin deck, so I choose not to run the quintet wall, but that's because of the way I built my deck.

Also, if you don't want to prioritize superior calling, at least add in come cards to increase your hand size, so if the situation arises, you could call more cards to the rearguard circle or as guards.

HunterSerge:
What is this deck even trying to do? There is absolutely no focus here. Regardless of what you're TRYING to do, why is Dark Goat in here? Judgebau Revenger is easily one of the best starters in the game, and should always be run. Trigger line-up should be 12 Stand if you're choose to focus on Dragruler, and 12 Crit if you aim to focus on anything else.

Grade 1s...where are your Darkbonds? Your Swordbreakers? Quintet Walls, even at 1, should NOT be run in Revengers due to how Counterblast heavy they are. I'd question the lack of Dorints, but that's obviously because you run no Blaster Dark Revengers which is really silly. BDRs are what makes Revengers function, and what has made them really good since their release, the only reason you don't run it in Dragruler is because Dragruler needs Counterblast.

As stated before, your Grade 3 line-up needs focus, desperately. There's only so much one can suggest and help you improve if you have no clear focus.

Seiryuu:
I know that some people use a secondary ace in case of the main would not be able to do well in certain circumstances or just for the surprise factor..but having 3 bosses aside from BR is a bit..as hunter said, unfocused. Hence, making the deck, scattered. And a scattered deck, can't function well @_@

Thank you for commenting. Have you tried using the deck in CFA or even in real life? I've been able to beat several Legion Decks with this deck and I said in the beginning that the Dark Dictator was the main focus of this deck. Dragruler Phantom is just an extra in case the Dark Dictator wouldn't work in some situations. Also, the reason for why i'm using Creeping Dark Goat is to get a grad 3 in my hand when I don't draw one (as explained in my first comment) ^_^

Thank you for commenting. Please try the deck. Also, I stated before when I started this topic in the first comment that the main focus of the deck was to use The Dark Dictator. Then, I talked about two tactics that would've been used to enhance the play style of this deck.

Thank you for commenting. Let me reply with my honest opinion please ^_^ I think instead of focusing in drawing power such as OTT or calling such as Gold Paladin I would suggest using more skills similar to the original shadow paladin style (which is retiring units) Also BDR isn't counterblast heavy if you use Dorin.

"I'm not much of a fan of having only one copy of a card because I'd feel like I wouldn't see a card enough of the time to see how well it truly affects the deck."

Yes, that's exactly why i'm trying to use different varieties of grade 3's here T_T
