How do I make a good Royal Paladin deck?

(1/3) > >>

crossflames:
I've realized that most grade 2's in Royal Paladin consisted of 9k and mostly of 8k units. The deck is counterblast heavy and is not very effective independently without a damage unflipper.

So.... I was wondering on how to make a good royal paladin deck with non-seeker units, non-Jewel Knights,  no Sanctuary of Light, no Exculpate or Blaster Blade Burst, and no Sanctuary Guard Dragon. (Exception. Seeker of Bravery Ars) which is a damage unflipper.

I know it may seem troublesome but i'd like to be original and try decks that other players tend to never use. In advance, thank you all very much for helping me.

Alright...  Let's start with the ace unit.  There are still quite a few you can choose from.  You could try a Fang of Light, Garmore build.  They don't use any counterblast outside of Blaster Blade and Constance, and can form 21k columns in the RG easily.  Another option is to be like Daigo and use a Pendragon/Soul Saver deck, or a Galahad deck.  There's also the option to build an Alfred deck, or Brigitte/Gancelot.  You also could use Toulouse, but I think he's a little restrictive.  The main problem with all of these decks is that only Toulouse and Galahad can give you 11k Vanguards, which are currently really important.  You don't mention it in your OP, but I'm assuming Majesty Lord Blaster is also out of the question?

Thank you for replying. Nope, Majesty lord Blaster is fine since I haven't really seen many players using the card. ^_^ Do you know any ways to counter Legion while still having a grade 3 with 10000 power?

The best way would be to maximize the power of your attacks.  If they don't have enough shield to guard your attacks, they won't be able to get cards in the drop zone.  Going second also helps, since outside of Metalborgs, they can't Legion until you have a G3 as well.  Max out your Perfect Guards, and your hand size, and try to have Rear-guards that your opponent might attack instead of your Vanguard, such as Palamedes, Especial Intercepts, etc.

A lot of the decks I mentioned in my first reply can hit high numbers easily.  I recommend you go for Fang of Light, due to the easy 21k columns, or try MLB because of the extra crit, and higher defensive power.  Alfred is also a good choice, as it can be used for both maintaining hand advantage and hitting decent numbers.

Galahad helps you maintain hand, due to the ability to Superior Ride from the top 5.  Pendragon also has this, and with Soul Saver, can increase your RG's power significantly.  Brigitte/Gancelot won't have the same advantage or power as the other decks, but it does help that it increases your chances of getting a 'trigger,' (+5k from checking a G3), and can cycle some of those G3s back into the deck for a G2 (Gancelot for Blaster Blade.)

Going second creates a window of oppurtunity for you but for your opponent as well. Good and old CBD is still effective but if you play online you will get bashed and a lot of people won't even cf you. Second choice is standing vanguards. They can even the field.

Why would you use Cat Butler, Miss Mist, and CBD in a RP deck?
