there should be an option that allows players to switch off card prints. Like I have two cards with new reprint and two cards using old prints. For an example two gurguit cards with a different reprint.

First of all, this had already been requested before.
The answer is No. It's not a necessary feature and the more cards/card images implemented will increase the space of the already "huge" CFA file further slowing down the already "awfully slow" program.

Oh and if you're wondering why some cards have their alternate arts while some don't, its cause the game developers like it so they are allowed to implement whatever they want or do not want to implement.
