Server down?

So, I clicked on the connect button, pick my character and as I pressed the login button. It freezes for awhile and a message pop up and it says 'can't connect to the server' and crashes. I run the game on a mac using Wine which allows me to open windows types file. Is the server down because my internet is fine and it can't be the result of my internet. Pls help i'm so bored lol...
