You forgot the g2 doreen while in legion but I agree somewhat with the defense statement You go - 1 for that which is a huge issue depending on the card that ends up soul charged your field is just not going to be big enough where I'm going to ever care. If you use Gwynn you don't - though but you only soulcharge 3 for cb 2. Early game that's more ideal but would require a Amon booster. Yes the deck suffers from defense issue but DI has always had. Oh and I can't wait to see Great Nature Players playing their Stamp Otters again. Will be fun if you dont have Gwynn, negating everything the legion can do other then having a crit every turn you has 10 soul.
I predict decks will be 3 Amon Legion, 3 Hader (Or the Limit Break that prevents grade 1 or higher guarding), 2 Original Amon for grade 3 :v

Is there any point in playing Echo when Astaroth is already just tossing out their perfect guards turn by turn?

The second effect of Echo is pretty useful. Hader has it as well. It's a preference though to have that g1 or higher sealing and most likely would be a backup ace if Astaroth is failing to drop those perfects or quintets or you can just use Hader. The crit of Astaroth doesn't apply till it's in legion so they may not be tossing out perfect guards at all.

Fair point and that's the reason why I want to play Hadar myself. It's great backup but both are sort of moot point once you perform Legion from Astaroth anyway. I'd be legitimately surprised if an Astaroth didn't Legion by the time Echo's Glorying would be game defining.
Doctor Who:
I don't think the guard blocker is better or worse than this. On one hand, we have insane power up but with not whatsoever advantage and on the other hand, we have that LB guard blocker where Doreen is the key vanguard booster.
