What Ratio's do you use?
Prime Ddraig:
Question, Whats such an Advantage of having only 7 Grade 3's? I mean in my opinion in terms of Crossride Decks or Break Ride Decks, I'd want an equal number of Break Rides/Pre-Crossrides to match the number of Bosses.
I mean I understand if its simply to bump up Grade 2 to 12 cards but you can just mooch off a Grade 1 for that.

Well imo, every deck should have 1 main grade 3. Aside from the main grade 3, there is the alternate grade 3 which is a vanguard to use when you don't get your main, or a break ride. There will be 4 main grade 3 and the alternate could be around 2-4.
The good part on having 7 grade 3 is that you have one less card in the deck that is useless during guarding. (Unless if you have perfect guards) Sometimes I even make decks to only have 6 grade 3s.

Understandable if you're not running breakride g3's lol. Besides that unless you're running 12 crits or no draws in general 8 grade 3's doesnt usually inferfere with u guarding lol. You should still be fine. Still dont know what decks you'd even use only 6 g3's in but cant say that's a bad thing but with cfa's shuffling system lol. wouldn't be surprised if u get glocked here and there

Alright, so statistically, the best ratio for riding consistency is 17-13-11-9. This gives you a ~83% chance of riding up to Grade 3 by your third turn.
Now, of course, this isn't really the standard ratio, now is it? No, because its safe to just take a unit from 1 Grade and put it into another Grade. This will impact the riding consistency by an insignificant amount, by ~2% or less. This is where we get our common ratios, like 17-14-11-8 or 17-13-10-10
We also have some special cases like the BT04 Ride Chains (these are the Blaster, Amber Dragon, Blau, Enigman and Giraffa Ride Chains, for those unaware). Because of how these work, we effectively have 3 extra Grade 2s (we can't count all 4, because we need it a turn earlier than we'd need an actual Grade 2) so we can play with our Grade ratio, running things like 17-16-8-9 or 17-17-8-8 without hurting our ride consistency at all.
More recently, in the clans with these Ride Chains, we've gotten some explosive Limit Break Grade 3 checkers like Daikaiser and Immortal Asura Kaiser. In order to get the most out of these units, we need high amounts of Grade 3s, so instead of swapping Grade 2s for Grade 1s, we swap Grade 2s for Grade 3s. We start with 17-12-11-10 (a ratio done by taking the optimal ratio and making a 1 card swap between grades), take 3 of our Grade 2s and put them into Grade 3, giving us 17-12-8-13.
Finally, for the purposes of a card like Cat Butler, we can use the BT04 Ride Chains to run more Grade 0s. Start with the 17-13-11-9 ratio, we take 3 from Grade 2 to Grade 0, and then take our last 1 from Grade 3, giving us 21-13-8-8
The most recent card that lets us play with our ratios is World Line Dragon. Prior to the reveal of Cradle and pretty much all of the support, TehNACHO calculated that with a 17-13-8-12 ratio, presuming 4 copies of Glendios and 8 Reverse units, one would have ~79% ride consistency. Now, obviously, with Cradle added, the ride consistency is boosted significantly, but, to my knowledge, no one has done the calculations. However, it should be above the usual optimal ratio of 17-13-11-9, which should allow us to play with the ratio more, but considering how much good stuff Glendios has access to, I wouldn't change it much beyond going 17-14-7-12. Halcium could definitely make use of this more, considering it lacks access to Halcium, and swap some Grade 1s for more Grade 3 Reverse units.
Pretty sure that covered pretty much all of thedifferent consistent grade ratios and a bit of the math behind them. xD
