Friends List Suggestion

(1/3) > >>

Just:
Being that we each have our own usernames, I don't think a friend list would be all that bad. It would tell you who is online and who is offline. If they're online, it'd tell you their location. (aka: Ice Castle, Secret Room 1, Secret Room 2, Main Room, etc.)
Also, to those player that are in your friend list, they could appear purple for you to locate them faster.
Second to last, in case some of the players are participants of a team/guild, there could be a separation toolbar in the friend list. Or in other words, several folders you could name inside your friend list and place your friends in specified folders correspondent to who they are to the player.

Examples in case that's not understandable:
1) Person A has person B on his team, he puts person B under the "Team" folder in his friends list.
2) Person A hates person B, yet they're still friends. Person A puts Person B in "Screw you" folder.
3) Person A just friends Person B and that is all. Person B is now in the regular "friends" folder.

Lastly:: With the addition of friends list, there could be the implementation of Private Messaging only to those in your friends list. That way, only friends can PM you, and you will not get spammed.

As to the incoming argument about the system updating, a simple fix would be to just transfer folders from your old version to the new version each time the update comes. The folder transfer shouldn't affect anything other than perhaps not being able to identify users who changed their username. (Which if that were the case, the username would just appear offline then.)

As to the incoming argument about just adding them on another platform such as Skype: Not everyone wants these other platforms, and sometimes are not ready to give out that much information about themselves.

Jai Hearts:
wow that is well thought out, but is it possible for the programmer to execute ?

again just that is amazingly well thought out.

Just:
It shouldn't be that hard to execute. Although I don't know the platform he's creating this game on, (Since I forgot) a friends list shouldn't be impossible. Regardless, thank you for thinking this is a good idea. Shows others are interested. (Not that amazingly well thought out though, lol. Don't give me too much credit. This is just standard gaming requirements for online games.)

Jai Hearts:
since im not into allot of online gaming i didnt realize.

but yea the way you presented it made it sound like something really good for when you have a contest and you need to find someone.

if you might know a little something about programming you could putt some idea's on here and im sure the admins will see it.

Doctor Who:
All of your friends can be easily added on skype (also there is Evolve for those who are gamers.) so yeah. The idea is good but at the same time. is hard to implement and it will be quite useless when u have skype for such stuff.
