I was wondering if a card like Immortal Asura Kaiser's Limit Break still works on legion cards.

Since the effect of Asura Kaiser is...

[AUTO](VC) Limit Break 4 (This ability is active if you have four or more damage):When this unit's drive check reveals a grade 3 «Nova Grappler», until end of that battle, this unit gets "[AUTO](VC):[Counter Blast (2) & Choose two «Nova Grappler» from your hand, and discard them] At the end of the battle that this unit attacked a vanguard, you may pay the cost. If you do, choose your vanguard and one of your rear-guards, [Stand] them, and this unit gets [Power]+10000 until end of turn.". This ability cannot be used for the rest of that turn.
[CONT](VC):If you have a card named "Asura Kaiser" in your soul, this unit gets [Power]+2000.
[CONT](VC/RC): Lord (If you have a unit without a same clan as this unit, this unit cannot attack)

Now it might seem silly, but I wanted to know since a Legion unit has multiple units on the vanguard circle (hence multiple vanguards) would the effect still go off since the text only specifically says when you attack A VANGUARD.

when you attack a vanguard in legion you are basiclly just attacking the grade 3, but yea i can stand.

i might be wrong so it could be a good idea to look around the net.

Since they're both "Vanguards", the effect will still activate. There may be two of them, but as long as you're attacking a vanguard, the effect will trigger. Either way, more vanguards still means there's "A vanguard"! :3
Oh, and the mate can't be attacked anyway, see here;

Question: Can the Mate be attacked as well?
Answer: The Mate cannot be attacked.
