So while Watching a CF, i realise i couldnt type in anything into the ChatBox, could you guys implement a watcher's Chat, it useful for ruling purposes
-
A lot of people have been wanting this, myself included.
-
A watcher's chat would be good. It'd be useful for a lot of things. The real question is how to implement it, however...
-
I second this. Considering the admins have played on Cardfight Capital, don't make it that way. It should be more like Dueling Network, where you can choose not to see it. Or something of that sort.
-
I dunno about that, I mean most of us have other means to talk to one another, skype, ventrillo, so on and so forth. Do we really 'need' a watcher's chat? Also would the people currently fighting be able to see your comments? Because personally I'd rather prefer to have a game without distractions, then people either A) cheering for/against you and B) random conversations.
-
I know, Sands. Exactly why i said it shouldn't be like CFC was. Both you and i know there was some serious crap in those chats. >.> That's why a hide/show thing should exist or something simmilar.

Well, there is one people who cheated by putting heal trigger from their hand to the top of deck before the 6th damage check playing against me before. I realized that but he just keep silent and stuffs, annoying.
At least with this watcher's chat people might feel more guilty from doing that kinda thing, and the watchers can help the ruling as well.

LOL! Who does that XD?! I don't understand why people think they can just cheat whenever they please and not expect the opponent to say anything about it. And then they rage quit.
-
Well, people today are too ignorant. This may offend some people and i appologize for saying this, but, half of the people there are clueless and are just netdecking and learning how to play by heart. Honestly, give them a non-tier deck and they won't know how to play it at all. Not to mention half of the people are all around terrible at the game which is why they cheat to make it seem they're good or something. The best part is when they start insulting you after you've figured out their little game. Funniest, but also the saddest thing ever.

I agree with this on so many levels. Honestly, I don't mind players who are "noobs" and make critical errors (such as drive checking without any guard conformation from you) because usually I tell them their mistake and they're willing to fix it. It's helps them learn so they won't make the same mistake again. But people who cheat... Ugh! It's like I say, "Ummm, why are you looking though your deck?" and they're like, "I'm not" and I'm like, "... But it's green" and that's when they quit. Just stop lol.

That happens to me a lot too, but in my case I say "Why are you cheating?' (not really expecting an answer when I ask that) and they just ragequit XD.
-
Which is the exact reason why I tend to stay away from randoms, half of them are incompetent at the game Dx
-
Yeah, it's pretty sad how under-developed the general card fighting community is on CFA. But I guess we all have to start somewhere :P
Hopefully Watcher's Chat (The thing we're supposed to be talking about XD) will help cut down on cheaters, as well as provide a great way for people to mentor newer players.

To be honest, i tend to point out the mistakes in cardfights in order for people to stop making those same mistakes, but all i get is "shut up u noob, go cri to ur mommah, hurr durr". So, i really can't be bothered with this. The main problem is that 8 year old kids or people of the same mentality play this game. That's the main problem, and putting down a little shame by inserting a watcher's chat would be nice. Kinda like Dueling Network's chat. But, before that, we need to fix the regular chat, because it's horrendous.

Some people actually said that? I guess I've seen nothing then.

Wow that's sad. I don't understand why some people just don't want to be helped. Most of the ones I encounter don't mind when I cut in to help them when they're wrong (maybe I'm lucky lol).

I laughed a little bit harder than I should have reading that. Lol.
But
I couldn't agree more. Overworld chat definitely should be upgraded as well.
-
A watchers chat would be lovely q.q sometimes people misplay and watchers could help settle it

Sometimes the players won't even pay attention to the viewers so I didn't that wouldn't drastically change the game play overall.

I have a suggestion about this that might be a nice solution to both sides. Tell me what you think.
Make it so that the person challenging someone has the option to choose if they want to be able to see watchers and to allow them to be able to chat with the fighters during the game or not. Then if the person being challange accepts (They should be notified of weather or not the challenger wants watchers) then done deal. It would also be nice if the chat is in a separate window that isn't part of the chat that the fighters use to chat to each other so I can tell when my opponent is talking to me about in game actions and stuff.
If they don't want to be talked to by watchers. (For like tournaments and stuff) You can make it so they fight without being able to see the watcher chat or be able talk to the watchers and the watchers can have a chat to themselves with anyone who happens to be watching the game. Or just no chat at all like it is now.
It sounds ok right?

Yeah, this is good enough. Maybe we should even add a "Don't allow watchers" thing, if you want to keep the game private. But mianly, about chats, we need a different chat system. That's the current biggest problem when it comes to chatting.

A watcher's chat would help in the watcher not just spectating and disconnecting because they did nothing. I hope that there's a way to save replay of other people's fights.

I believe you can already save fights that you are currently watching in. When you leave the game you should be asked if you want to save the replay.
Though if you are disconnected because you did nothing you can't save it.

Well, I've tried clicking on yes when it asks to save a reply. It doesn't work unless it was actually 'my fight' unfortunately.

I never really had a reason to want to save a game that I watched so I never actually tried to save. Curious I decided to try saving a replay of a random game. Truly enough you can't save peoples games that you watching in.

So, I don't know if it's possible, hard or anything, or if it'd lag the place or something. But I'd like to have a watchers chat. A place where we can talk while watching a cf...and I am sure many of us would like that :/
-
its been disscussed here but i dont remember what they said about it.
anyone remembers ?

Yah...I remembed they did say something about it, but don't remember what. But even so...I still need it's needed...at least most people want one.

true a watcher chat would make things much for interesting, while there are some people who tend to troll.
all in all we all want it.

Exactly. Plus, if they don't have intention to do something about the kicking, a watcher chat would nulify that when watching, you'd talk, so you wouldn't be kicked. It's a good alternative imo
-
yeah maybe but CFA's Chat isn't currently that good so i think a watchers Chat won't come in the next few updates(except they make a big one)

A better chat in general would be better for the players and all. Something like cfc had, that was a comfortable chat. In both OOC and inside fights.

You mean this thread? (http://cardfight-wiki.ru/areafor/index.php/topic,15.0.html)
As I've said before, I would like a watcher's chat. It could help with ruling issues and such.
-
Well there are some bad things about Watcher's Chat. If the watcher can talk they may confuse the player or distarct form CFs which kinda maked me pissed when happened in CFC :P

I apologise, I didn't see that one :P

now that you mention it~i think they should add a watcher's chat...geehee

I think that yeah it would be cool to have watcher chat in CFA.But also when they make it then it should be like that what isn't disdurping fighters who fight and where should be like analysing match but not teaching other player how to play just like good chat thing where people can talk wtih each other.
(Sorry for my English).
-
Omg yes i always wanted a watcher's chat!!!!!!
-
About that watching thing well this what I am about to say will not go maybe in this topic but maybe there could be system for game watching like there is room for games and then you can choose what game to watch like all games can be seen in 1 room then that general chat what blaster said would be used in there.
