At the end of Seifer's grueling fight against the Dark Irregular player Makuto and his No-Life King Anchor, Seifer manages to take the match with Leopald as the vanguard, just barely winning.

Yukino vs Haruka.

The lovers would cross in the first round, as destiny had no mercy for the two. Even so, Yukino looked forward to it - the first fight where despair no longer shackled her line a binding chain. Commemorating that with her boyfriend was a well-appreciated treat. Once again did Ezel and Duke face off in the battlegrounds of the holy nation. Heaven's Child: Vortimer proved that he was worth his blessed mantle, the black horse armor clad knight rallying troops with his ride chain. Those of the lion corps were not daunted, as the red lion heir's superior ride came into fruition. The queen made clear her solidified bond with Ezel. In addition to that, the grand return of the Sanctuary's Ace left the golden warriors in awe. Blaster Blade had entered the fray.

Both Ahmes and Yunos had come back in spirit forms by her hands.

Even so, Spectral Duke Dragon proved to be a harsh challenge, even breaking through Yukino's last defenses initially. However, a miracle heal answered the restoration of the vanguard's heart, keeping her in the game. Turning it to her win.

The second game, Ezel's Superior Ride had gone off once more, and Vortimer's Grade Two state appeared very late. However, Haruka's Viviane made sure to make up for it with getting at least one call. A double critical put Yukino far ahead, In the midst of battle, the harsh heat that she and Ezel suffered from burned within. It wasn't painful, however. More of adding to the adrenaline. She appeared on Cray along with the Gold Paladins, standing next her lion best friend. A heavy assault was unleashed from the black chain forces in counterattack, nearly bringing them down. And nearly enduring everything the lions could throw. Especially with War Horse bringing Duke to full 11000 power. In the end, however, Ezel's Limit Break resounded, calling Garmore.

Even so, Haruka Perfect Guarded Ezel. Even if one trigger meant his end in terms of being able to guard, he stayed vigilante, unbelieving of the end. Not out of spite, but of resolution.

The eyes Yukino fell in love with, and the eyes of those she wants to stand with her. Those drive her and Ezel into another Critical, ending the game.

Sweating, she was happy to have a well-earned, genuine victory for the first time in a long time. Still no answer on what her Vanguard is yet through this, but Haruka gave her an idea.

The man who put Satoshi out of a chance at regionals a long time ago. Cero Kirguis, King Europe.

Despite the fear that Vermillion puts into the souls of Rearguards and Vanguards alike, the two games that the farmboy and the European professional played were surprisingly one-sided. That devil's luck once again resurged itself in favor of Satoshi and put Cero at a strong disadvantage. Even with a relatively closer game 2, all it took were 3 turns worth of swings from a fully-managed Sephirot's garden, keeping Vermillion off of Limit Break, to put King Europe out of commission.

Satoshi Kurosaki defeats Cero Kirguis, and moves on to round 2 of the World Circuit, the resolution of a Vanguard through companionship still pulling through.

A short interlude happens as the speakers burst out announcing a short break however during this time, Christina Aguilera is invited to the stage to perform a half-time show. Leading up with Frank Sinatra’s “New York, New York,” George Benson’s “On Broadway,” Stevie Wonder’s “Living For the City,” and Billy Joel’s “New York State of Mind” before introducing rapper Nas who rapped a verse before the Queen Xtina re-enters the stage, introducing in "The Rockettes" onto the stage and ending elegantly with her tremor of Jay-Z featuring Alicia Key's "Empire State of Mind"

"Neww Yorkkkk, Concrete jungle where dreams are made of (Ighanna heard as concrete jungle wet dream tomatoes lel) theres nothing you can't do, now you're in New Yorkk, these streets will make you feel brand new the lights will inspire you, lets here it for New York, New York, New Yorkkkk!" Christina sang before exiting the stage with a huge applause. At the backstage Ighanna congratulated Christina for the amazing performance and then after a hug, Ighanna went off to her VIP seats to spectate the will-be-back-shortly tournament games.

"...uh, and Noah wins the match!" The announcer said, clearly confused, the crowd was silent for a few moments, and then cheers could be heard. "But, what was that about Aqua Force saving Cray, and demanding justice...." The announcer muttered.

Noah walked out of the stadium holding his head in pain, his next match would be soon.

"Thanks Maelstrom..." Noah thought to himself. The game had been won by the dragon, but every time Noah rode Maelstrom, he went to cray for a few moments to find the colossal beast taking on Granblue's undead army. The trips to Cray took a lot out of Noah, but slowly the trips were becoming less painful. Noah was going to fulfill Maelstrom's request, no matter what the price.

Haruki and Hazama gave it their all in their first ever fights of the World Circuit. Hazama's Pale Moon were so powerful that they brought Haruki to 5 damage without a problem, but the young man of justice fought back just as much. Justice prevailed, and Haruki was declared the victor as he moved on to the next round.

"The fight is over! Your winner: Neo Isamu!" The announcer said.

The crowd roared in excitement as Neo won his first match of the New York Circuit. Neo then gave a handshake to his opponent Hikaru and then walked off the arena stage waving to the crowd.

Neo then looked at his deck with a smile. Happy he won his first match.

"One match down, many more to go. The road ahead is tough but I know I can do it" Neo said to himself

The cardfight between Tsubasa and Miyuki set the stage on fire, both fighters sent out their best units into battle both utilizing the superior call techniques of their respective clans. Miyuki's circus drew power and called it's allies from the soul while Tsubasa's paladins gave power to it's allies who were called from the deck.

In the end the 6th damage fell twice in Miyuki's damage zone.

The crowd cheered for Tsubasa's victory, as the announcer finalized the result,"The winner of this match is, Tsubasa Hayato!" he said. As the opponents exchanged their respect the fight tables disappeared and the results began to pile up at the circuit stage.

"..One match down, we're going far my paladins.." he thought, as he exited the arena.

Yugure vs Neo.

You know, Yukino had never really got to know Neo personally. Still, this was a chance to show the revolutionary vanguard she discovered through fighting. It was a bit of a scary thought, as she has lost to Vermillion when she faced Cero. However, if it was anything everyone gave her back, it was Courage - Ahmes - to face anxiety. The two began with a casual exchange, looking toward fun more than the competition. Ezel, as always, answers his friend's call loyally with the Superior Ride going off. Their challenge to Narukami was answered by the blitzkrieg behemoth of the future: Armor Break Dragon. For a woman who proclaimed that Perfect Guards are the best possible Rides, she was beginning to question that logic once again. A steep cost of discarding three cards and counterblasting three. In exchange, the Gold Paladin frontlines quickly found themselves annihilated, even with Yunos, by a monstrous Limit Break. Ten thousand additional power and two Criticals, along with Photon Bomber's boost being another ten in itself. Everyone scrambled to find Mark.

The heat came back.

That goddamned, accursed heat that massively ramped itself up the eleven. It took all her might to make sure she could keep standing. Ezel was no better. Though, while trying to wait for it to simmer down, or to find some drive to get through it... Yukino asked about Neo's Vanguard.

A bit of an expected answer: his Vanguard to protect family and friends, to build bonds. Yet, he found himself obsessed only with his parents, losing any enjoyment before having those friends remind him of what this game is. This was something she could relate to. As the Chosen Sword in the past, the game was only a tool. The "fun" was succeeding, losing was an error of the person. Being unable to win made her a failure. However, finally, she found herself accepting failure. Long ago, it simply gave her the opportunity to make real friends, and to experience real joy. Now, the actual reason for these emotions was realized.

"Vanguard is life", she proclaimed. Loss is a part of life, victory is a part of life, the heated battles of a simple game were akin to that of a conversation. In one of the games, she stated that fighting Neo was similar to speaking with an old friend. That was evidence of the meaning.

Ezel responded, the Soul Sublimation reaching beyond a critical mass. It was the same for units of Cray as well. This "duel" of spirits between the clans was more like a "conversation". The souls of the lion, the wolf, the thunder dragon of the future, the incarnation of lightning... all of them spoke to one another. This was the path he was more than willing to follow, protect, and nurture. This life conveyed through fighters, units, and cards. His will of fire turned into strength, and a card that somehow found itself a place in the deck placed itself over the Incandescent Lion.

He evolved.

Blazing Lion, Platina Ezel. This new power began with a simple change in his mane, having it in a more dirtied color, but more refined and dignified. A golden outline shined from him. It seemed so minuscule to the eye... but the heat the pair felt was no longer killing them. It was more like an embrace. A triumphant roar resounded, shaking the battlefield, echoing through the planet.

"Golden warriors, follow me! The time for our reunion with other heroes is nigh! The days of suffering will be no more!!"

A power that was born on the edge of defeat, destroying the limit of a world. An Ultimate Break that empowered Gold Paladin, and Crossride power that empowered himself. Even with this miracle, they couldn't land the finishing blow that turn. Still, this wasn't over yet. No, that failure to win on a flashy turn was simply an expected part of this beautiful life they came to submit to. The next turn was Ezel's victory.

The next game started Yugure off with an unshakable advantage. Not only did the Superior Ride occur before Neo hit Grade 2, but then the Crossride came right afterward. Despite this, Neo's resolution didn't waver. Overwhelming odds did not deter him from trying to take down the transcended lion, dueling Ezel with Vermillion. It was a little close to Haruka, who refused to give in and Perfect Guarded one of Yukino's last attacks. Yes... these kind of people who didn't give up on life were exemplary. The kind of person Yugure wanted to be from the start, and took so long to take the first steps in becoming.

Vermillion's roar, resonating with Neo's determination, pierced through even the Crossride, taking the second game.

The final game was one in which Platina Ezel could not be found. Even so, the red lion heir gave his light to the masses, and the masses gave him light back. The last bout with Armor Break Dragon, Vermillion, and Thunder Break went on with such passion that it was reminiscent to the Swordsman of Light versus the Winds of Apocalypse. Armor Break's incredibly destructive Limit Break went off again, but not hitting. Blond Ezel, synchronized with Yugure, did everything in his power to take her to victory. First, a single Limit Break that called the wolf. Yet, she didn't stop. The mindblowing ferocity of power tore open her scar once again. However, she would not falter, enduring the pain to see this amazing clash of souls finished. Some officials tried to cut in, and Pharmacy Witch tried to rush in to nurse the wound. The queen refused interference.

This was a highlight of her entire life.

The final blow was dealt to Neo, resulting in 2-1 with the queen's favor. Gold Paladin and Narukami found a victor among themselves... for now. Hopefully, this answer was conveyed properly to the people watching, to Neo, to those on Cray...

"Thank you", Yukino expressed gratitude to Neo for congratulating her.

Gold Paladin +30 Affinity

Seifer and Tsubasa had met before, but did not get the chance to face one another. Seifer's mastery of the great nature clan gave him a strong edge in the match, creating strong rear-guard columns capable of forcing Tsubasa's hand to drop or his damage zone to flood quickly. In the end it was a battle of who could outlast the other both sides pushed with all their might ending up with a score of 2-1 in Tsubasa's favor.

"First round victory goes to Tsubasa! Second round victory to Seifer!! and clinching the final round win Tsubasa, takes the match!" said the announcer, as the crowd shouted with excitement after the cardfights.

The cardfights gave both fighters a chance to understand a bit about each other, in Tsubasa's case his respect for Seifer grew due to Seifer's nature and style of fighting. However, something was odd about Seifer as he weilded the Great Nature clan, while he was skilled with it, Tsubasa felt a similar reaction to that of someone who is 'missing something'.

"..He left the stadium with his hand gripping the side of his face...I know that style of play with a clan...Seifer...could you possibly be a victim of clans being sealed as well..." he thought, as both players exited the stadium

Haruki and Shin'en began their second round match with a burst of energy. Attack after attack, they continued to go against the opponent's vanguard until Shin'en pulled through with a triple critical Silent Tom. They quickly went into the second game, which Haruki won with his double critical avatar, Super Dimensional Robo, Daiyusha.

The third game would decide which of the two fighters would go on to the semi-finals of the World Tournament. Shin'en fought with all he had, pushing Haruki to 5 damage with ease, but the young man of justice found victory on his next turn, with his critical Daiyusha breaking through Shin'en's guard by checking two heal triggers. Haruki bested his opponent and had a fun match. He moved on to the next round.

The lights across the stadium shut, causing confusion among the onlookers. A voice rang across the stadium.

"Man, this is so boring!"

With a quick flash of light, Neu appeared upon the center stage and the brightness in the stadium was restored. The crowd looked with a gasp and the announcer panicked, juggling his microphone in his hands while trying to decipher who the mysterious figure was. He eventually recognized her and quickly attempted to get back into character.

"I-It's, our National Champion! Neu Edelweiss!"

It took a little bit to register with the audience and they laid in silence for a good amount of time. Last they remembered, their National Champion had black hair and two orange eyes. The one that stood before them now looked almost completely different, she didn't even seem human. The crowd burst into a sudden applause, thinking this was all part of the show. The announcer himself was leading them on it, but his face showed evident signs of fear. This wasn't at all part of the plan.

"Alright, you know this is really dumb, you guys may as well turn yourself into slaves of those who are stronger than you by supporting this whole thing." She shook her head, "Uh, let me cut to the chase. I'm calling this off, there's more important matters to attend to that this lame contest of ego stroking."

The announcer gripped his microphone tightly, trying to speak but words were unable to escape his mouth. A good amount of the crowd went started booing, another became silent, and some started kind of laughing, thinking this was a prank. Neu looked all across the stadium and scanned all of their faces.

"Actions speak louder than words, so let me show you guys could probably be doing by now."

Show me the world's Vanguard, and prove to me that this is a world worth leaving in your hands.

She snapped her fingers and in that moment.

Everyone in the world had their memories of the sealed clans completely restored.

The crowd fell silent, New York City fell silent, America fell silent, The World fell silent. All in all, Neu stood there and looked at their faces again, their expressions changed to a panic. They all wanted action, they no longer wanted to to be here. They were all asking themselves, "how long has it been? Why am I only remembering now? What can I do? What have I been doing?" A single loud cry could be heard from the audience, then it was followed by a scream, and then all of the sudden, mass hysteria.

"Royal Paladin? Where are they!? Where's my clan?"
"Blazing Flare Dragon? Was my avatar... why am I using Narukami?"
"Where are they? I haven't seen them in so long..."
"How do I get them back!?"

The crowd stood up and moved around aimlessly, they were lost. Some just sat there, others tried to exit the stadium, pushing one another out of the way. A good amount looked at Neu, suspecting her as the cause of all this, well, they were right. She herself didn't like the chaos that was happening at the current moment, but she needed to move the world forward. In order to end this stupid contest and decide the heroes of the War of Liberation who would be able to show her the world's way of Vanguard.

Everyone was a panic.

On Cray, Hana appeared within the council meeting chamber. Five clan representatives quickly hurried to the Princess, knowing the current situation at hand. They asked her to act with haste, the situation had to be controlled before it got any worse. The results of the War of Liberation had to be announced in order to assure everyone that their clans will be saved.

The screen on the stadium, Times Square, and just about everywhere else turned on. A video from Cray, it was Hana sitting down in her usual princess' attire.

"Everyone please calm down, there is a way to save those clans that we have lost. The War of Liberation has come to an end, and yes it was no myth, it was an actual contest that had been going on among clans of Cray during these past weeks. Now one champion, yes one  Vanguard Fighter from each clan will join me and lend me their power in breaking the seal."

She paused.

"Champions of the Gold Paladin, Great Nature, Narukami, Aqua Force, and Neo Nectar clans, I will need your help in restoring those whom we have lost."

At the announcement, Seifer was in Times Square watching it and clutching the Great Nature deck that his Kagero deck was replaced with. He'd listen quietly for a moment before walking off toward the stadium. He wasn't entirely sure what it was he was going to actually be doing but that didn't stop him from going. When he reached it and the possible crowd still there being annoying or panicked, Seifer waded through the crowd to join Neu on stage, both of his hands shoved in his jacket's pockets. Stepping up beside the girl he'd fought the previous night, he glanced first up at the screen with Hana on it, before shutting his eyes and breathing out slowly glancing out at the crowd. He didn't say really anything to Neu, but Hana was his friend so he'd answered the summons. And if he could get Kagero back this way, he'd do what was required of him.

The balcony was calming. The city below was bustling, the sky above was still and beautiful and ocean was calming as its ebb and flow pulled the world 'round. Haruka was out here more often than not at the time. He was resting his elbows on the edge, sort of staring out. A sweat started to form. He was warm. Unnaturally warm.

Which for him was natural.

Haruka reached for his deck and was out the door before the bell boy's had a say in his sprinting down the halls. He was down the stairs and out the hotel in flash, racing toward the destination. The tournament stadium. He had heard no voice, he had no motive or reason. Just a gut feeling. He literally had no other real reason to be there, no deductive reasoning required. His heart and his head had the same idea. And so that is where they ended up after a short bus ride.

The timing could not have been more impeccable. Sudden panic filled the hall. Haruka was looking around for notable faces. He assumed if this feeling had suddenly hit him that other champions would have shown up. However something in Haruka had clicked well earlier today. About the War of Liberation and everything. Haruka was not the one who was going to clean up the mess and save the clan and become a hero. Not today. His job was to support the champions, at least until he was no longer able to. So he was here for them, as Hana had said, the Champions of Gold Paladin, Narukami, Great Nature, Aqua Force and Neo Nectar.

He raced down the bleachers and towards the front stage. Despite zipping and zooming around, he was stopped by a large crowd of people, all surrounding the only entrance down to the stage level near the fight field. He chewed his lip, staring out at the monitor where Hana stood making her final words. Only one particular face stood out. His outline.... seemed to glow? No, not glowing. He was radiant, but not glowing. Haruka saw the boy and tempted the thought of yelling out to him, but didn't particularly know him and didn't want to pressure him or something. Instead, he pockets his hands as usual, breathes out heavy. And steps back, taking a seat and awaiting the arrival of the rest of the champions.

Cero looked at the TV, seeing the woman that defeated and mocked him...  Neu Edelweiss, the American national champion.  Oddly fitting.  However, Cero entered a rage when he saw her.  Dashing out of his hotel room, deck in hand, down the stairs, out into the street and straight to the Arena, Cero arrived on stage.  It began raining as he had been running, storm clouds gathered overhead.  The crack of thunder was heard in the distance

"Neu Edelweiss, I demand a rematch!  I will prove here and now before the entire world that my way, the way of Cero Kirguis, Europe's King of Vanguard, is the true way of Vanguard!"  He slammed his deck down on one of the tables, ignoring the rain pouring down from the arena's open ceiling.

It was the same deck as last time...  Shadow Paladin.  The fight started off in Neu's favor, getting an early rush and pushing Cero to four damage while she was at one.  Cero was forced to ride Rumble Gun initially and was unable to assemble a full field, while Neu attacked him over and over with full fields, no matter how many times Cero wiped away her rear-guards.  Cero was backed into a corner...  He had 3 cards in his hand to Neu's and 5 damage to Neu's 3....  The odds were against him.

"I will not let it end here! I Won't be defeated so easily," Cero shouted, a determination in his eyes that was different from any before, "Dragonic Kaiser Vermillion, respond the roar of my soul!"  Raising a card to the sky, Cero chanted in the storm, "Embodiment of thunder, emperor of lightning, Feel the thunder that roars from my soul!  Understand my determination, the power I strive for,  and ascend to a level beyond limits alongside me!"  Lightning descended from the heavens, striking the copy of Vermillion, flowing through Cero, causing him to cry out in agony and fall to his knees.  He dropped the cards in his hand, grasping the arm holding Vermillion as the lightning continued to burn his body...  Despite the excruciating pain, Cero stood up, and when he did, the lightning stopped. When it did, he looked down at the card in his hand.  He had done it.  Vermillion had heard him.  Returning his gaze to Neu, Cero shouted, "Behold my power!  Come forth, Heavenly Dragon Emperor!  Make the Soul of the very world shake with your presence!  I RIDE DRAGONIC KAISER VERMILLION "THE BLOOD!"  Cero slammed the new form of his card down, and activated its ability...  An Ultimate Break!  With this new card, Cero was able to turn the entire game around, bringing him victory.

However, he knew it wasn't a true victory...  Neu had held back against him again.  She went on about how Vanguard should just be for fun.  Disagreeing with her, Cero said he played Vanguard not to have fun, but to test himself, to see the strength of others, and to surpass himself.  Even if his path brought him solitude, he'd continue to walk it, and believed others should walk the same path, and those that didn't were not worthy to call themselves cardfighters.  As they left, Neu said she'd meet him in "that place" if he could make it there, and use her full power against him.  Cero promised he'd be able to make it there as Neu vanished, leaving Cero alone in the arena.

Neo had never faced someone using Vermillion before. But he was up to the challege. Both Neo and Cero both not only had the original Vermillion but both had its final Evolution The BLOOD! With Limit Breaks and Ultimate Breaks flying around everywhere, both fighters were fighting there hardest. Neo even had the help of a few miracle 6th damage heal triggers. But the 2nd Ultimate Break by Cero and his THE BLOOD was too much for Neo to handle and he lost the fight. Keeping a smile on his face, Neo shook Cero's hand firmly because he respected someone who used the same avatar as him.

"Nice fight Cero" Neo said to him while shaking his hand.

+3 AF to Cero

Seifer watched the fight between the two, oddly indifferent about the outcome of the fight. Yeah he hated that his friend lost but, for some reason it didn't bother him as much. Crossing his arms at the end of the two Narukami player's fight, the male sighed. There were three others they had to wait on at the moment, and with each passing second, the curiosity of what it was they were going to do to unseal the clans grew. It bothered him somewhat as well since he had only just gotten roped up in all of this.

After defeating Neu, apparently someone had remained behind in the arena and issued a challenge to the King of Vanguard.  Although at first reluctant, Cero decided to accept the challenge.  When the battle began, the first thing Cero noticed was that his opponent used Narukami as well...  At first, Cero ignored this fact, playing as he normally did.  Then his opponent copied him and rode Vermillion after Cero, saying it was his Avatar as well.  This person was copying him!  Not only that, his opponent also somehow had obtained "THE BLOOD."  On top of this, for whatever reason, his opponent kept going on about how he had "bonded" with Vermillion like it was his best friend.  Cero challenged this by asking his opponent to show him the power of this "bond," which took the form of two miracle heal triggers.  However, this wasn't enough to defeat Cero.  With the true power of "THE BLOOD," Cero was able to end the fight with his opponent, who's name he learned after the fight.

"You were a worthy opponent," Cero replied, shaking Neo's hand.

Alexander blinked, the sighting of Neu and her words causing him to remain silent, though the return of his memories caught him off guard. The young man had a rush of lost information flooding back, the fuzziness surrounding his earlier experiences dissipating slowly. "So that's what happened... " He would mumble to himself, contemplating his next move with a look of anxiety about him. "Shadow Paladin gone as well." That revelation causing a bit of discord, the situation he had with that clan having been an odd one.

Then suddenly the monitor would turn on, visible to any and all cardfighters in the world watching a screen, his head turning instantly at the noise. There sat the princess of cray adorned in a over the top dress as she said her words, yet what followed was a wad of disappointment that welled up within him. He was disheartened by the fact that Nova Grappler wasn't one of the clans called, but there was solace in the fact that maybe with those champions a chance at getting back other peoples clans was cemented.

Remaining in the arena, he uneasily walked up nearby to the stage where furious battles had taken place, watching silently as he remained uncertain of what to say. Maybe there was a chance of said champions to come to the Arena? For now he took that chance, for he wished to at least witness the aftermath of this "Liberation war". Having missed a chance to at least challenge the thief due to his own shock of the events, that and Cero having been closer at the time.

Feeling an odd pulse he rapidly pulled out his deck, eyeing it for a moment as he flipped out Azure Dragon. For a second the image changed within it from the deep azure to a different silhouette of pure gold, a mirage like image coming through only to instantly revert back to it's normal azure state. The young man blinked, uncertainty about this event taking place as well but attempting to return to the task at hand of waiting for something to happen. Besides the chaos of the people running both in and out of the circuit arena that is.

Considering his inability to offer any fighting aid, he hopped on to the stage where Cero was, approaching him or at least trying. "So, I'm guessing you'd be the Narukami Champion? I mean, you have an Ultimate Break unit, just like Tsubasas Ezel. Unless maybe that doesn't seal the deal on being a clans champion huh..." The lad rubbing his chin as he always did when he was thinking, unsure of the situation all too well. "Eh, either way. You looked like you knew the American Champ, is she also trying to get the clans back as well? Wait but she had Shadow Paladin..." Alexander asking quite the number of questions, his tone inquisitive though there was an odd air of restlessness and unease about him even if he did try to play off the situation as him being calm and in control.

Amon walked into the stadium, it was quiet and frantic. People where fussing and freaking out about their clan's and deck's being swapped. Amon could care less. [Looks like someone decided to drop the bomb on these people by restoring their knowledge about the clan's] Amon was thinking to himself who could have done this, before he passed a monitor replaying the event before him. It happened right after The American National Champion came out and wanted to cancel the event. "I knew something was off with her from the moment I met here. But what does she know, or how much does she know about this sealing of the clans. I wonder...." Amon spoke to himself before reaching the stands. It seemed like a new form of chaos has appeared before him. He wanted to settle the score with golden boy after his threat, before this however, he wanted answers.... and he was not leaving without them.

Yukino and Ezel had entered thew stadium of New York's stage in hopes of finding the other Gold Paladin champion. The chaos spurred from everyone's memories returning subsided some from yesterday, however, was still prominent. They had it easy, though. Nothing important was lost to them. They simply woke up with new cards one day that did close to the same as their old decks. A Vanguard of ignorance, but one that people had been content with until now. The queen was being a bit harsh with that idea though. If they had known, maybe they would have helped in trying to bring them back.

Not much was left for the masses to do anyway.

The duo simply lied in wait.

With the previous evening's chaos mostly in check, people had calmed down. In fact, a majority of the people were sitting back down, patiently waiting for the champions to arrive. Strangely enough, nobody really left or went home. You'd think by now people would realize that there is a real world outside but nope. Still here.

Haruka included.

He stayed put for hours, checking messages and calling people to speed up the process. Sadly most calls and texts drop before even leaving the stadium. Crappy connection, probably. He leaned over the railing of the bleacher's side to see faces all around, but none too prominent. The night before had laid a few battles of epic proportions. Neu and Cero had gone a round, leaving the crowd in a higher level of hysteria than when she appeared in the first place. The second round of fights were between two champions-in-waiting, Neo and Cero, both of Narukami. The fights had gone back and forth, THE BLOOD for THE BLOOD, until finally Cero had emerged victorious out of the fight set.

Unfortunately.

Neo had promptly disappeared from the building afterwards, despite his normal bubbly nature, he was already gone and out of there. Maybe that fight actually pinched a nerve? No way Haruka would know, his texts to Neo weren't leaving the hall. He grew impatient and sleepy. He hadn't really rested much, except for when he got about a twenty minute rest during the night when a majority of the hall had gone to sleep. It was a public hall in New York City after all, it didn't exactly have a closing time, especially with the sudden panic caused.

Strange though, you'd think maybe police or something would intervene, but no, that didn't happen either.

Finally, after grueling hours, a person Haruka knew personally made her grand entrance. Well. Not so grand as she sort of just walked in, but Yukino was finally here. Haruka had come to the assumption she was the Gold Paladin champion of choice, it only made sense to him anyways considering the only Gold Paladin players he knew by name were himself and her. He raced off to the side of the bleachers and down the metal stairs to greet her, despite his ghostly appearance. The stairs were a bit of trouble, Haruka nearly tripping down all twelve of them. How? He wasn't sure. Perhaps the deprivation of sleep the night before was really getting to him now.

Tsubasa was determined to bring back the Royal Paladin clan, now that his memories were completely restored he knew that in order to completely develop as a person he had to settle things and become the Gold Paladin leader. He was certain that not many people were users of the gold paladin clan, but he knew that if anyone would stand in his way for the title it would be Yukino Espoir.

"..My Vanguard is now to give my strength to my comrades...I have to lend my strength to the missing clans so they can return...Neu....I don't want to to fight you with such stakes but...." he thought, as he began to enter the stadium.

"...I'm not fighting to save the clans only...if anything i'm fighting to help you, because you helped me develop and find my path...it's the least I can do..." he thought.

Upon entering the stadium a lot of familiar faces strike him, amidst the chaos. He sees Cero, Alexander, the guy who went to the coffee shop with Neu a while back, and finally Yukino.

"....I hope she's doing better now....but above all we have to settle this." he said, as he began to approach her.

"It's good to see you again Yukino.." he said, taking a seat as he spoke."...Sorry the re-union is not under better circumstances."

Yukino saw her beloved approaching, and gave him a nodding greeting. As much as she loved him, she noticed Tsubasa enter the stadium, and that's the moment when she had to start focusing. Ezel was notably surprised to see the one they would combat for the representative seat was another who used him. From what Neo said, this other champion evolved as well, meaning a heavy mirror match of the lions. These two vanguards... they both wanted save the sealed heroes and help those they care for. These circumstances were cruel, as only one could go, and they would have to shoulder the other's dream.

No... they wouldn't have to, but they should. As comrades.

"I never got the chance to properly thank you", Yugure answered Tsubasa, folding her arms. "For dealing with two meetings of a moody me."

First when Yukino was on a bloodlust rampage for power, and then second when she was completely confused about Gold Paladin. Giving a sigh at the thought of these memories leading to now, she continued.

"I'd like to ask what you think is the meaning of Vanguard, before we start." Yukino's ideology of "Vanguard is Life" was reaching a sort of consensus with the answers people gave her.

Tsubasa was surprised that Yukino actually wanted to thank him for what he did, to him he thought that he did what any person would do in those situations, he never expected nor asked for any kind of gratitude.

"...Your welcome, though i'm sure anyone aside from me would have done the same." he said.

He knew that he had to try to enjoy the cardfight, but he also had to be serious about this match, if he wants to solidify his ideals and rescue the clans. However, Yukino surprised him by asking him a strange question, she wanted to know what he thought about the meaning of vanguard.

"...The meaning of Vanguard huh..." he said, as a smile began to form on his face. "...I think this game is a chance for a new life and future, it's a chance to support others and develop into a better person....it's a chance to make ammends....for me my vanguard is one of helping my comrades and giving my strength to them so that together we can achieve our goals...today I plan to do that for the sealed clans...in the end peace cannot be restored by hiding from the conflicts of the world." he said, as his look changed into determination.

What Haruka had seen was another guy show up, and as he did, him and Yukino immediately began chatting. At first it struck a tinge of jealousy in Haruka until he realized what they were talking about.

So he was the other champion of Gold Paladins?

Haruka, stops at the bottom step, before proceeding to walk back up and watch from a slight distance. Yukino seemed a little tense, probably due to the fact that she would seen be a entering a set of fights and if Haruka knew anything, she didn't exactly want to lose. He chewed his lips and leaned against the staircase railing, listening to the conversation.

It clicked.

That guy was at the construction site on that horrid day. Haruka nods, satisfied already. Despite not knowing the guy, not even speaking to him once, something in him seemed really pure. Something righteous. If Yukino somehow couldn't be the real champion of Gold Paladins, this might be the only other candidate. That was comforting at the very least.

Good luck, you two.

Haruka gives a small smile and nod to the two, whether or not they see. It was his little closure to them. With that, he can only watch from here on out.

"Heh, 'anyone would have', huh? Well, I'm thanking you for it, because it was you", Yukino grinned, giving him gratitude. Her arms stayed folded, deck already prepared on the table. She listened to Tsubasa's Vanguard intensely, wanting to believe that his ideal fell under the beautiful consensus of life. Peace cannot be found in hiding conflicts, that was the most interesting thing the woman heard. If the civil war hadn't happened, Yunos' envy would have never been understood. The truth behind the rebelling Paladins would've never reached light. The alliance between the two could not have been formed without facing each other.

Yukino avoided conflict, and attempted to silence herself to avoid it forever. However, facing it now would result in peace of mind.

"Promise me something", the girl started. "Promise me that we'll all hold onto the Vanguard we've come to nurture and cherish no matter what happens."

It became readily apparently that Seifer was pretty low on the importance list as his existence wasn't noted by any of the people who came in a while after he did. It didn't bother him at all though. Part of him actually liked the idea of being the person to sit in the shadows on this one. However... Noting the conversation between the female who came in, and Tsubasa, and the fact that the female was ready for a fight prompted the brunette male to walk over to the side of the side, one hand in his pocket. He watched his other friend's fight against the rival Narukami player, and hoped it wouldn't end the same for Tsubasa. Actually speaking of, he wondered what happened to Neo after he left the stadium. Part of him started to worry, but now was to late. He was here and had to play whatever role was asked of him. Being the only Great Nature player that he knew of had it's perks, but as he clenched the deck in his pocket, he started to wonder: was he up for this? Really? These other players were more invested in unsealing the clans than he was. Sure, he wanted to help. Sure he wanted to get his original clan back. But he didn't have the same experiences as the others. Was he really worth of being here? Of bearing the title "Champion of Great Nature"?

The princess entered into the stadium as well. Her appearance had been delayed and held back by the large amounts of chaos cause by Neu. The crowds had remembered her from the announcement and had come to her with their troubles in hopes that she knew how to help them. Hana took her time with the fighters, giving them all the comfort they needed and the time with her that they desired despite having neither for herself. After, calming the crowds, she quickly rushed to the stadium having already been told by the Narukami representatives that the champion for their clan had been selected at that very area, and many of the important figures had already lay in wait within the arena.

Yukino and Tsuabaka, the two were about to begin their match. Hana took out her phone and quickly dialed a number.

"Gold Paladin..." Hana spoke into her device, "They're all just about set after this aren't they?"
"KOGA is working on another, yes." FUKI replied.
"I see, the best place to gather everyone is on this stage I guess."

She put away her phone and looked back at the two, observing the fight as it was about to begin.

Hazama enters the stadium knowing the semi-final match between Tsubasa and Yuniko was about to get under way.

This will be interseting, Tsubasa. Show me how much you have grown to love a clan that originally wasn't your own.

He then wonders if Neu will be here. Next, he starts to think about her. Now you are the person I am looking for. Hopefully, I will get my answers on this feared clan, and possibly see its power. May fate have our paths cross and maybe, I could aid you on your quest, whatever it is.

Yukino and Ezel sported everything in their power, with their answer of vanguard being one of "Life". The queen accepted Neu's general idea to be righteous, but it was a sacrifice of the few for the many. Those few live, just as the many do. Every last one of them on Earth and Cray lived, and it is to that end that drove her. Despite their first match being in Yukino's favor, a Draw Trigger and two Criticals from Tsubasa did her in. The following game was a struggle with her usual Grade Three curse, not opening a Grade Two. Still, she didn't falter.

Even if she lost, she would pass on these feelings.

The miraculous Superior Call of Blaster Blade spirit conveyed the raw passion she felt after overcoming despair. Despite such, it could not reach.

Double Limit Breaks, Platina's Ultimate Break, it all resulted in her scar opening for the second time in a week. The searing pain was nothing compared to that of being unable to answer Neu herself. However, that upset was pushed back. Because she knew from the beginning that if she could trust no one else with Gold Paladin, it would be Tsubasa and Haruka. In the end, they didn't even make it to the third game. Yukino lost.

Failure to defeat Tsubasa, too, was a part of life.

Yet, the queen would not be done here. Tsubasa stated that he wanted her help, and she naturally agreed. Even if he was named the leader, she would do everything in her power to assure the nightmare ends. Platina Ezel, Blaster Blade, and Blaster Dark had materialized behind the girl, and she didn't even notice.

"A worthy choice of roar", Ezel stated. The Blasters agreed that if needed, Yugure's swords would be weld by him. Still, she wanted to be up there with them. Moral support wasn't going to satisfy her, and she would begin looking for a means to assist beyond encouraging words.

"I'm glad it was you", Yukino said.

Having lost a very close game to F CHOPPER KOGA, it should've been the end. The champion should have been decided to be her. And yet...due to an age restriction, KOGA gave her confidence to the farmboy standing across from her, the one who still gave a close battle nonetheless. Satoshi Kurosaki was the one to represent Neo Nectar, just as he imagined it would turn out.

With this vote of confidence, as he walked to the stadium, Seph resonated with his soul once more. The two formed the link they had in the past, and as he stepped through the halls, they had settled on their name, after a long time of passing options back and forth.

Now in the center stadium with the rest of the champions, Irminsul took their place, saying nothing but staring hard forward at Hana the Vanguard with piercing green eyes.

"What even is this place?"

Jellal's sudden confusion on his face, in stepping foot into what is known as the World Circuit. He saw many fighters gathering and fighting their hardest out there. He looked around his surroundings to try and to get a grasp of everything: he felt the pressure of the atmosphere as he knew this was the place he was looking for: a gathering of cardfighting professionals, truly a place where he can test the limits of himself along side his rightful clan. His body was filled with adrenaline from watching players that he's seen and some that he did not meet.

"This must be the place I guess..." he said with determination matched with his cyan blue eyes. The feeling of being here reminded him of his first national tournament where he squared off against Cero in the semi-finals. Although he lost, he was determined to win and gave it everything he could. "I don't want to feel that again." he said softly to himself, rationalizing that all will be different since he's using his real clan now.

"Right Princess, I got the crybaby on his way there now." KOGA reported.
"Thanks."

Upon the defeat of Yukino, Hana turned away over the edge of the stage. It was as she thought, Yukino wouldn't be the one. She wasn't convinced then and sure isn't at all convinced now, Yukino isn't her sister. Platina Ezel's Ultimate Break rubbed more salt in the wound. A card that was all about giving power to all your comrades being used by someone who had forgotten and neglected someone of their own blood. Such confidence in using a card like that by such a person was sickening, the whole thing was just a messed up self-contradiction. At least Tsubasa was the one that won. Yukino had yet to actually attempt to fix anything yet charged in with a card of roaring friendship and comrades and- gross. gross. gross.

She had to put this on the back of her mind. Back to business.

With all the champions selected she extended her hands out to the space under the stage's screen. She closed her eyes and formed an image within her mind. Upon opening her eyes, they had activated the mode of stars in which one could see the skies of the Planet Cray by looking into them. Her power was and has always been a strong image, and with this she would be able to send others to the places on Cray and in this case, the place in which the clans are sealed. The rest would be up to them, that's why the War of Liberation was a necessity.

Five doors opened. Each one inviting a respective champion, and peeking into the events that would happen within the space. Each champion would be transported upon walking to their respective gate and they would be taken to The Place Where They Slumber in order to wake up the sealed warriors. She turned to the champions to say a few words.

"Alright minna, walk up there and good luck. Cray owes a great debt to you all and so does the world of Vanguard." Turning back to the gates, she closed her eyes and continued to keep them open.

At the end of the surprisingly well fought fights, Seifer smiled in congratulations at his friend for his victory over Yukino. However, before he could say much of anything, yet another pair of champions showed up and Hana began doing something. He wasn't sure what until the image of Cray and stars appeared. It was like a weird dream for him, especially when doors appeared. It took him a few seconds of calm breathing before he nodded, clutching the Great Nature deck he had. 'Wait for me Overlord... Kagero. I'm coming to get you back.' his thoughts echoed in his head as he glanced at the other champions before taking the step into the door that was apparently meant for him. He had no idea what really waited on the other side. Somewhere deep down he could feel the fear as he forced himself to move further into the door, but he pushed it down, realizing that more than just his clan was on the line. The clans of his friends, their companions, everyone's was on the line. He had to be strong, for them. Forcing himself the rest of the way through the door, as his body was trying to fight his instincts, Seifer waited to see what lies beyond the gate.

A sensation that feels very much akin to the rift that he would be summoned to in the past, appeared before him and others who apparently have been selected to help with the task of unsealing the clans. Jellal strengthened his body and sharpened his mind, bravely accepting anything that waited beyond the gate. He knew what he had to do: to help free those who were imprisoned, especially the Shadow Paladins that he owed for sticking by his side when he had nothing. It wasn't guilt that was driving him, unlike the last time. It was his sense of duty and responsibility, above all: his loyalty. Now that he had his Aqua Force returned to him, he had no choice but to step forth and finally set things right.

After being disappointed by Yukino yet again, Cero began to turn away.  This was the moment Hana opened the gates, which caused him to tun back around.  Cero was in awe for a moment at Hana's ability, however a moment was all it was.  After gathering himself, he entered into the gate, unaware of what lay ahead.  From the moment he entered, all Cero felt was cold, empty, nothingness...  It was strangely comforting for him.  He knew his goal, to unseal the clans.  The clan he was most interested in freeing was Royal Paladin, the deck that Yukino had defeated him with over and over.  Perhaps if she had them back, she would once again be a worthy rival to Cero's newfound power.  Despite this goal, the comfort from this nothingness almost made him want to stay there...  But he knew that his goal was first and foremost.

Ahmes and Yunos went with Tsubasa.

Yukino was visibly frustrated, but her best friend patted her on the back. Gazing up at him, she inquired on what they could actually do. They couldn't enter the space to face Neu, so moral support was all they could give. Ezel states that they cannot reach where the champions are headed from Cray alone. Perhaps there's something else that he and Garmore could look into. Vanishing from Earth, the lion went off to research with haste. The queen herself began thinking of how to assist the champions if unable to fight alongside them.

It'd be nice of this power of the Blacksmith was worth something right now...

... Actually, thinking about what could be conveyed, it was noted that her meaning of Vanguard was delivered to Tsubasa. Maybe that could do something.

Tsubasa had let go of all of his hesitation before the fights, all what could have possibly held him back from using the golden warriors to their full potential was tossed aside by his desire to save the sealed clans and restore what everyone had lost. Vanguard was something more than just a game, while it gave everyone enjoyment, it was a method for him to grow and become a better individual. He was sure that everyone here, including Neu, wanted to grow from the game, he wanted to assure that everyone no matter how insignificant or afraid that they were able to have that chance.

These games pushed Tsubasa to his limits, he had never faced a champion who was able to force his deck and vanguard to exceed who they were, ever since his games with Neu. Yukino was indeed a very worthy opponent no matter what the odds were she still pushed on, to develop and achieve her goals, calling Blaster Blade in his spirit form was a testemant to that.

"...I'm glad that I got the chance to fight you again Yukino, and don't worry I keep my promises, the clans will be returned no matter what, because this game is as important as you mentioned." he said. With that Yukino hands both Blasters to Tsubasa, and with his old avatar returned the young man marches towards the gates opened by Hana along with the other fighters.

Before entering the gate he stood next to Hana, "...Listen, I don't know if you were able to overcome your grief yet, but now that I remember everything, I promise to bring back your clan and all the clans, i'm sure all of the fighters are determined to do the same, maybe then...you'll be able to smile again." he said, as he turns back to everyone at the stage.

"We're here to help everyone, no matter what happens we will settle the conflict and bring back everyone's clans and what they have lost! That is what we the chosen fighters are here to accomplish!" he said as he began to turn back around and began heading towards the gate.

"As for me, I have to keep my promises, save the clans with everyone and show Neu what she's missing, we will do so together my paladins and comrades." he thoughts, as he entered his gate. "...I'll keep my promises, everyone."

The young man had fallen asleep within the area, snacks and bottles lying around him as he awoke from his slumber only to notice the events transpire in the vicinity. Alexander was left with only the task of watching, the fights both an inspiration and yet also a heart wrenching display, one could feel the powerful emotions of Yukino almost like an Aura of sorts, in some base instinctual level he even felt sorry for her.

Though, the dramatic leave of Tsubasa and the others seemed to give a wave of assuranc, calming his anxiety from before. There was a reason the champions had been chosen from those few clans, for the people within then all were so radiant, good people that held the strength to form their ambition of saving the three sealed clans. And such a thirst for power welled up in the lad, balling up his fists as he tightened his grip around nothing, a small sigh following after as he realeases his frustrations for the moment.

For now he walked up to the stage near where the doors were spawned and simply took a seat on the floor, waiting for when the champions would come out, having glanced at the others shortly before setting an intense gaze at the magical gateways. At the very least wished to see the victors, and even commend them, even if they were total strangers. It was the least he could do as a fellow cardfighter right?

After losing to Neu, Seifer was returned here to where they entered. As the male reappeared in the light that bore him away from the space, he fell to one knee, shutting both eyes and gritting his teeth. As accepting as he was that he lost, he couldn't help the eventual tears that followed the sadness of losing the ability to try and fight for his friends and the clan he'd lost initially. It stung, like salt in a wound. Gritting his teeth more and shutting his eyes tighter, Seifer gripped the leg of his pants trying to keep himself from completely crying, though failed slightly, as tears streamed down his face and to the ground. He'd lost it all, and was now putting his faith in his friend and strangers alike.

Alexander blinked as he eyed the stranger that plopped out of one of the doors. His hopes were held high for a moment but they sunk like a rock in water. Defeat, the champion failing when called upon, when victory was the most important result. That resut lay obvious at their reaction after coming out.

"You did your best, now you're left waiting then huh?" Speaking suddenly, a bit out of line and likely hurtful even if he didn't intend it so. A small pause following before speaking once more.

"I guess getting that far had merit in it though.... Though after fighting Tsubasa and seeing that Cero guy in action.. Things might be okay and all." Pausing on purpose this time as he would hop up and attempt to walk towards Seifer, his tone one of curiosity.

"Uh, who were you fighting exactly? On that note what's with the wole deal? I mean, if you feel like talking that is... Err... Want me to I don't know get you a snack or a drink to calm down?" The last question itself coming out rather awkwardly, at the very least he seemed bad at this comforting thing. Especially considering he's asking the teen after crying.

Maybe he should have asked one of the people in the arena that aren't bawling like the defeated gold paladin player and her companion. Though, they seemed to be more focused than he was on the waiting for comrades thing.

The crumpled male held up his hand to Alexander for a moment, asking him to be quiet. Sighing to himself Seifer stood, wiping his right eye on his wrist before fully looking at the person that had just addressed him, both eyes bloodshot. "It's fine.. I... we... We're supposed to fight a friend I guess you could say. As for the unsealing part I'm not entirely sure where to begin. Just... give me a few moments.." the male sighed out softly trying to gather his thoughts and composure again. He gave his all and fell short, and it's true, Cero and Tsubasa... The other champions were indeed there on the other side fighting to unseal the clans. He just had to have faith in their power.

"There were several clans sealed, all of which were held dear to certain cardfighters..." his hand tightened into a fist as his voice trailed off for a moment. Shaking his head, he looked back at Alexander. "Kagero... My clan, was one of them. I lost my friends, my comrades, that I'd made so many good memories with for the betterment of everyone apparently. A peace, I guess. That's about as much as I understood." the male glanced down again biting his lip before glancing first at Hana, who was still keeping the gates open, and then the other fighters forced to wait here. "Understandably, some people would or could be very angry with Neu... And yet, if you asked me, I'd answer I wasn't. I don't know how to explain my reasoning as to why, I'm just... not. I've no reason to be mad at her." he stayed quiet for a few moments again before looking over his shoulder at the doorways. Sure he couldn't go in anymore, but he could probably watch right?

"If you asked me... I'd say she was right in her own way. ...But everyone else, in their own way, are also right. Their feelings, thoughts, actions. All of it. Hmph... Sorry, I must sound like some delusional idiot rambling on after crying huh..." he spoke softly to the stranger who'd addressed him.

Alexander stood silent as he watched Seifer regain his composure, eyeing him with sympathy evident in his appearance. He waited the whole time, listening for his response as all the words came out - a few moments passing as after everything was said he simply closed his eyes and nodded.

"Everyone is right and wrong in their own way." Speaking the words in a rather calm manner, more folowing after a slight pause.

"But even if that's the truth, and you're not mad at this friend you can still tell that what they're doing is wrong right? From the beginning anger wasn't going to be the right emotion to feel, but more so a want to undo their mistake.  Splitting people and their clans apart, messing with their memories... You can at least tell that's wrong. Less right than returning everything to normal at least." His composure as he said it indicated a certain truthfulness, he was being honest about his feelings on the manner. Though, he was likely speaking out of line as well, not having been through the same experiences as the Great Nature champion.

In as two, returning as...only one. Satoshi rematerialized on Earth, curled in a closed ball. He had failed Neo Nectar. He had failed his friends.

He had failed his Vanguard.

Everything that had ever been said to him came back, all at once. Every word of encouragement with shades of irritation behind them, all the words of things being okay and the future looking bright...all of it stung, more than anything. He had gone in, confident that he could do something and help protect Cray as per his destiny. But he wasn't strong enough. He was blind to those who needed no protection. He was unwilling to let suffering stand as it was.

And in return, he was an empty shell of himself. A man without a clan. A former champion thrown into the bowels of an abyss without escape. A broken heart with no chance of mending.

The voice cooed in his head. I told you, boy. Who cares for your answer, or anyone's answer, if it's meaningless before true power?

At the same time, he realized that this is what Yukino had felt. And Haruka. And Hana. And all of those who had seen their former clans and felt lost without them. This was what they felt like. He almost wanted to laugh, but he could do anything but. This sort of pain not only prevented himself from being able to express what he wanted to feel, but he also just...couldn't. He tried to push his face into a sorrowful look, but there was nothing. He wanted to burn, hang, cease to exist. But none of it could come to his face.

Satoshi Kurosaki was now broken.

The male shrugged at the response, looking at Alexander from the corner of his eyes. "Yeah, you're right in what you say. And from a stand point of someone who's lost something precious to them, I agree. ...I partially believe that's why I didn't back down when I could of just as easily ran away." looking back at the gates for a moment, staring quietly. "Though ya'know... At the end there... I don't think I fully cared that I lost. I don't think I cared a lot about the unsealing of the clans. ...People might hate me for it, but I was just having fun fighting a friend at the best that we both could push out. ...Yeah, I'm kinda sore I lost... I wanted to bring back Overlord... Kagero... with my own hands. But the others can handle it from here." he smiled a bit laughing, starting off as a soft laughter before rolling into an almost delusional one. Regaining his composure slower than before though Seifer glanced over his shoulder at Alexander grinning. "Let's leave it up to the fate of the cards. I think the other f-" he stopped himself as another one of the champions reappeared.

It was... the Neo Nectar one? Seifer thought he remembered it right... In any case the male looked worse off than he did. Kneeling down next to Satoshi, not that Seifer knew his name, he placed a hand on the other male's shoulder. "Hey... Look, don't take it to hard... I lost well before you. Neu wiped the floor with me, so cheer up, yeah? ...We've still got the others to rely on. Try to cheer up. C'mon... Want me or... Uh... Name please?" he asked looking over his shoulder at Alexander again. This entire time he had no idea who he was talking to, and had just been speaking to a complete stranger. In any case, he turned his attention back to the Neo Nectar player removing his hand from the other's shoulder and placing it on his own knee. "Would you like either of us to go get you a drink? Or something to snack on while we wait?..." he tried to sound cheerful and give a smile, but he understood where the other had been, since he was somewhat like that a little bit prior.

Blinked, taken aback by Seifers words and his reaction to his loss. Alexander had a small flame of anger flare up within him.

"You didn't care, huh." Seifer AP -1

Alexander was about to give him a piece of his mind, though he was stopped by the appearance of the broken Satoshi,  a small sigh given by him as he eyed the defeated warrior. "Two down out of five, huh..." He spoke out loud, eyeing both of them as Seifer tried to comfort him in a rather insensitive way. Of course he was not one to talk considering he might have been equally disrespectful as well.

"I'm Alexander. Nice to meet you, though under these circumstances it might not be the best time." He said in a bit of a apprehensive tone, a small forced laugh as he continued to glance at Satoshi from time to time. The look he had was one of a broken man, as if having lost a literal peace of themselves. The look of what it meant to have something torn away and not having the power to get it back.

"I don't know if telling him to cheer ups going to work out well..." Speaking after analyzing the Champion for a bit.

Hikaru arrived in the middle of the conversation between Seifer and Alexander but chose not to speak at the moment as they discussed the unsealing of the clans and the champions. The mysterious voice had guided him to where the champions would confront Neu. Truly the title of champion was just that, a title. He didn't care if the fate of the world was in the hand of 5 cardfighters who presumably have the strength to defeat Neu. Will it be enough?

He knew he can't just sit around and do nothing but wait. He then saw Satoshi appear out of a portal as Seifer and Alexander quickly come to his aid.

Satoshi didn't want anything to do with these two, but a memory arose that put him lost in thought. Amongst all the memories that made him suffer and feel all the more wanting to give up completely...the memory of him and Haruka, confronting a less pained, but still immensely so, Yukino flashed through his mind. The kindness the three had shown each other, budding a strong new friendship and helping to ease the pain together...while this loss was much more severe, it wasn't okay for him to flat out reject these two. They at least deserved to know.

He gripped the consoling one's leg with his hand, mostly in an effort to connect via touch, as he had done with the rest of the Triad before. While he didn't know him, or the other, who was calling the situation completely correctly, he decided to speak, after some thought, a waiver in his voice the whole time.

"I know you didn't ask for it, but...my name is Satoshi Kurosaki."

He then spilled everything, which also wasn't asked for.

He told them about growing up, finding out he could talk to cards. He talked about meeting the friends that he did in the city, Yukino and Haruka, and the hardships and triumphs the three of them went through together as the Triad of Hope. He talked about Yukino's success as Yugure, the Chosen Swordswoman, and how she managed to end the Dragon of Hell with the help of its champion, Jellal Kisaragi. He told them about the sealing of those clans, and how it was kept so long from the people of Earth; about meeting Neu, and many others, and learning of his way of Vanguard. Of fusing with Sephirot and breaking through his normal limits.

He shook his head, still sheltered in his legs as he maintained a grip on the guy adjacent to him. "This is going to sound super-selfish, but I now understand what those two felt." He jerked a thumb at Yukino and Haruka before replacing his hand on the leg. "They both lost half their heart, their soul, their very being."

He gripped the leg tighter. "The only difference this time is that unlike those two, I've got nothing to hold onto. When they lost Royal Paladins and Kagero, they at least had their avatars in Gold Paladin to help them through the struggle and even bond. I never lost what they lost, so I wasn't able to truly connect with this feeling of loss until now. But instead of having some spirit waiting to console me...it's dead quiet in my brain."

He said that last statement with a bit of disgust, because in his pain, he had chosen to commit the one sin he despised above anything else. He lied. It wasn't quiet in his brain at all; the voice that mocked his attempts to fight for his friends was still ever-present, telling him his destiny was a ruse as he continued.

"I don't really need anything to tide me over, but if there's one thing you two can do for me...get them to come over." He jerked his head this time at Yukino and Haruka. "I've needed to talk to them for a long time, and there's no reason anymore for any of us to keep putting it off."

"I mean yeah, I didn't care. I think you're taking it the wrong way though. ...Not that long ago I was super angry about losing Kagero and the clans being sealed. When I finally found out about it, I won't lie... I wanted to take vengeance on the one that did it. But when I met her, she let me use my old clan against her. I realized something from it though. ...If there's a chance to have them unsealed by anyone, even if I can't do it... Should I really let myself stay down? Should I just ignore having fun with the hand I'm dealt? ...Am I always supposed to have a grim, angry outlook on everything?" he asked seriously. He wasn't angry with Alexander. He even said himself he probably would get some form of hate. "Let me ask you something Alexander... Right? Did you lose something? Do understand how it is to have something that dear to you taken away, and then lose the ability to fight for it?" he asked again, directed at Alexander once more as he looked back at Satoshi. "Getting upset is fine. Breaking down and crying is fine to. But in the end is it really worth it? Is it worth getting really angry over?" Seifer shut his eyes standing and putting his hands into his pockets. "Don't get me wrong. I'm upset about it all. But I'm here now. I knew when I lost this was going to happen. I'm here, powerless with no ability to go back and help. I CARE about the clans. I CARE that they were sealed and I CARE that other people were hurt. But I don't care that I lost. There's no reason to. I let down and lost Great Nature through my inability to push past Neu to unlock my clan, and others that were sealed away. My friend's clans were sealed. And I couldn't help them out." he sighed looking back at the door again. "I don't care I lost, because I trust the others that come after me." he finished, his eyelids shutting halfway.

At the reaction of Satoshi however, Seifer glanced back down and listened quietly, taking it all in. He didn't mind that he was speaking, spilling what was on his mind. "It's alright. I know it probably sounds hollow, but trust the other three at the very least. ...I just lost Leopald and Great Nature as well so I know what you're feeling... And yeah... Hold on, I'll go get them for you."  he promised Satoshi, lightly pulling his leg free from his grasp and walking over to Yukino and Haruka, both his eyes shut halfway. "I know we've never met before but, as a favor, if you didn't hear him speak... I'd like to ask the both of you to go talk to Satoshi. He apparently knows the both of you... So I think he needs you two really bad right now." he gave a faint sorrowful smile before turning on his heel and walking toward the doors again, if for no reason other than to just wait quietly for the return of the other champions, in whom he held the utmost faith in.

One of the champions, the Great Nature one presumably approached him. Yukino had recently joined Haruka in watching the fights happen as champions rose and fell to Neu's power. Haruka was complacent, knowing that Tsubasa, Cero and Jellal, champions of clans with evolutions will have a standing chance against her.

As the guy approached him, he saw the boy as he spoke up. Haruka listened intently, and stood over the railing, looking back to him.

"You must be the Great Nature champion." Haruka tilted his head. He never saw the guy before today, as far as he could remember. But he seemed strong at the least.

Oh, right, Satoshi.

Haruka turned to Yukino and nodded and proceeding to descend the side stairs to the stage front and to the now somewhat broken Satoshi. He had apparently lost something... His friend was currently lost now as well.

He stood up, above Satoshi. He breathed in, and then out. Haruka knelt down to meet eye level with Satoshi. He wanted to open his mouth to offer consoling words but he wasn't very good at that. Not really, anyways. Instead he simply stuck out his hand. Not sure for what. A shake maybe? Just a sign of understanding, most likely.

He nodded, finally understanding where Seifer was coming from, glad that he had cleared that misunderstanding. For a second he almost thought of Seifer as a rather villanous character! Though all he gave was a "Mhm alright." As a response mostly due to not having much else to say on the matter. +1 AP Seifer

Then, Satoshi began to speak as he kept his ears to the other young mans words. Listening intently though he would blink out of disbelief from time to time, such a grand adventure that he and others that had gone through catching him off guard. Alexander having to extend his limit of disbelief between real and unreal, mumbling sometimes inbetween Satoshis' words as if repeating them to himself to cement their reality. At the end of it all he stood there, silently. Eyeing Satoshi with a mix of empathy and amazement, belief battling disbelief. Though in the end belief had won, and why shouldn't it have? The sealed clans and the memories of so many, the portals which had sprung up out of thin air. Quite the number of odd happenings had been perpetrating the whole time and even if it was hard to swallow it looked like Satoshi was at the very least telling nothing but the truth.

"That's... Wow." Were the words he spoke, though trying to quickly adjust to all the new information. Cray was real, the units were real, and the situation they found themselves in being the most real thing at this very moment.

"Alright Satoshi, I believe you." Speaking these words as Seifer took the initiative and walked by to go get the two people Satoshi asked for, Alexander remaining nearby and taking a seat near the crouched Champion. Haruka appearing soon after as he slid back a bit to give the friends more space, a wish to not get in their way. Blinking at Harukas action, a bit uncertain of what was going on. "Huh." Was the sound he gave as he watched the two, giving a tiny irresolute wave to Haruka if he paid Alexander any mind to tilt his head and look at him.

As much faith as Yukino had in them, she also knew to not deny Neu's prowess. Jellal revealed the fruits of his destiny, while two other champions fell. It was sort of surprising, considering she had no idea who the one playing Leopald was. Great Nature, admittedly, was not a clan that fell in the range of her knowledge. Something to ask Ezel about later. The units were getting locked away as they lost, which is what she feared. The battlefield quickly lost two of its five champions, and Satoshi looked as messed up as she was not too long ago. While notably happy someone could finally understand how she felt, she would need to help him through it in a minute.

These two champions failed, but failure is a part of life. That doesn't mean they would have to stop here.

"This isn't over!" The queen screamed, echoing throughout the stadium. Her lion better hurry up with that research. In the meantime, she began conjuring an idea to settle the masses. The idea of moral support aggravated her, yet, it was still a task that she could perform. Quickly whipping out a cell phone, Father Espoir was called. A short couple of words were exchanged involving utilizing the stage's mic, along with hijacking broadcasts.

If this was a fight that impacted the world, then the whole world is going to fight with the champions soon enough.

Hikaru having watched everyone give out their support and views felt it was time for him to speak his views on the matter at hand with the world.

"You know what i'm sick of? All this champion BS, It's just a title. I don't know about you guys but i'm not going to stand and watch the world slowly crumble because we picked the wrong Champions. This is our world and if Cray is real to, we'll be dooming both worlds into oblivion" Letting out all of his frustrations and feelings that he kept bottling up inside even with the mysterious voice booming in his head. He knew they need to fight back some how.

Satoshi silently thanked Alexander for believing everything he had gone through. This acceptance would hopefully lead to others' understanding of why these losses were as heavy as they were.

Alexander +2 AP

He then noticed Haruka was squatting before him, extending a hand. He wasn't saying anything, but this hand was all too familiar. It was the hand of someone who, if they could, say everything that could possibly help under the sun, but wasn't confident that he could say it right. The gesture was one he had seen the scarfed boy give before, and it was just endearing now as it was then. He took the hand and felt himself, instead of shaking it or using it as an opportunity to stand up, just holding it.

Holding it and staring at it, his eyes just as bloodshot as Seifer's had been. What did this even mean anymore? Haruka's rival was no more at this rate. It's not that he had given up hope in the other champions, but more that he had given up hope in himself. Restoring that, no matter if his best friends were here, would be easier said than done for sure.

He eyed Yukino, who was apparently prepping something with the Great Lion of the Espoirs after screaming out at Neu, just as he had at the construction site. She wasn't wrong; this wasn't over, but as to when it would end, he doubted anyone knew. Hopefully she would understand that even if she thought they were equal now, things were much, much different.

Especially since Ezel was still right there. Waiting to be summoned by Tsubasa, who Satoshi assumed was next in line. Or perhaps Cero. Either way, those two were in for a heck of a time if he had come so desparingly close, twice, to take another clan from Neu and stay unsealed.

Haruka wasted no time in returning a smile to the forlorm champion. He fought his hardest and that's what mattered to him. As he grabbed hold of his hand, the warmth raced from Haruka's body to his hand. A flame was burning again, the one he lost for days had suddenly began to burn in his veins again.

"Uhm... Good job. Satoshi, we're proud of you. Despite the loss, thank you for your service." Haruka awkwardly scratches his head.

"And thanks, as a friend." Haruka nods in confirmation and smiles. Another face was prevalent in the hall. A boy stood to the side of Satoshi, waving. Haruka stood up as well, and returned the wave with vigor.

"Hey there, uhm, we haven't met. I'm Haruka Nakahara. Call me what you like, I suppose." He extends his hand to him a well, more for a greeting shake tham anything.

"You?" He inquired.

Off to the side, Haruka made note of what Hikaru was saying. To be frank, Haruka agreed, but it wasn't his choice in the matter and didn't dare try and rectify the system of champions and such.

Alexander simply sat there silently, eyeing the two in their intimate moment as he blinked for a few seconds out of uncertainty on what to do now. Eyes glancing between the two and the portals, his attention only being grabbed by one thing. A powerful scream, his eyes speedily turning to eye the young woman who gave it, watching as she rushed around getting to work on... Something, whatever it was he didn't know.

Alexander then heard a voice, the stranger speaking to him as he eyed the other young man over. Extending his hand as well for the shake, giving a small smile before speaking. "Ah me? I'm Alexander Reis, nice to meet you. But just like I said to Satoshi or Seifer it's not really the best moment for a meet n' greet huh?" The words holding a comedic tone to them, cracking a small joke to hopefully relieve some tension.

He would release Harukas hand, pausing as he scratched his cheek for a moment before speaking. "Say, do you know what she's up to?" Pointing to Yukino as she was going about her plans.

Haruka turns his head to see he's pointing at Yukino. He smiles, seeing her face until he realizes she's nearly furious and quickly turns around and motions for him to move his hand.

"Alexander, right? Erm, that question has an answer I'm afraid I couldn't give you. Not that I don't want to. But with her... Personality, I honestly wouldn't know." Haruka forces a light laugh, despite the fact he knows his Queen, Miss Yukino Espoir is going to cause some abnormally large event. She was good at creating a reaction when one was needed, no doubt her plan of action this time around.

"Just a word of advice, brace yourself." Haruka pats his shoulder, laughing for real this time.

"So... It looks like we're down to the last three champions. Despite taking out Neu once, she seems to be weilding more than just one clan. All four of the sealed ones it seems..." Haruka begins theorizing. There's something more to all of this, but nothing concrete. Just a gut feeling.

"You must've been sidelined like me, huh?"

He moved his hand down as Haruka instructed, though he looked confused about the whole thing.

"So she's that kind of person, must be a rough ride with her sometimes huh?" Saying as he joined in Harukas hearty laugh, though calming down as the talk took a slightly different turn.

"Right, five were chosen by the girl in the dress on that screen. I mean that was a bit weird but Miss Edelweiss and the memory thing kind of gave it some credibility..." Musing away, his mind trying to come up with an answer to the dilemma though Haruka then gave him the answer before he arrived at it.

"Wait so... Neu Edelweiss is the person that sealed the clans? And the Champions are fighting her?" He asked, already knowing the answer, hastily speaking some more as to answer his last question.

"Oh and yeah, I've been sidelined. Nova Grappler wasn't one of the clans called, sadly. Though I guess the better fighters were in the clans the girl on the screen mentioned." He said, accepting his lack of strength even if it did annoy him to not be out there fighting the good fight.

"You... Could say that. She's much cuter when she's acting nice." He had to at least put in good words for his girlfriend. Giving her a bad rep wasn't what he intended in the first place, but she's definitely a feisty one. Loves to get fired up.

Like a certain someone...

As for the inquiry on Neu."That's right, Neu is the, er, enemy? I guess that's the best way of putting it." Haruka wasn't all too sure what that really entitled however. Neu had good intentions, despite doing it in probably the worst way ever.

"O-Oh, don't worry about that. I'm a Gold Paladin player myself, but I wasn't chosen either. There was no way I'd be able to take on the evolutions of Yukino or... That other guy? I can't remember his name." Haruka pockets his hand, keeping an eye on Yukino, as well as glancing over to Satoshi once in awhile.

Turning back to Alexander, he finishes his explanation to not being chosen.

"Well. These things happen. My connection to Gold Paladins is low to begin with. I just want him back."

Seifer continued to stand by the doors, half listening to the conversations being had behind him, the mention of being angry over the selection of the champions and how it wasn't fair or something along those lines. He somewhat agreed, and wondered why exactly he was chosen to begin with. However upon Yukino's screech he flinched covering one of his ears. He almost said something about it and yet stopped when he half heard what Haruka said. Sighing, he watched the others, crossing his arms across his chest, and keeping his eyes half shut. He really didn't have much to say at this time to anyone, but it was nice to see people trying to cheer up. At the mentions of Neu though... "She's also a friend... And the champion chosen for Gold Paladin is called Tsubasa. Who's him by the way?" he asked, finally walking over. "He's the one you lost right? Who is it if you don't mind me asking."

Another voice came off from the side. Another guy? Haruka needed to make new friends, but not this many this quickly.

"Hmm? Oh, Tsubasa. Interesting name." Haruka smiled and nodded to the guy, thanking him for reminding him of the name. Haruka sincerely felt bad for not remembering his name. Maybe he just never knew in the first place?

"Him?..." Haruka's smile faded all too quickly. The fire in his body started spreading like a wildfire.

"He.. He's my friend. Dragonic Overlord." Haruka felt the heat rise again. His memories of Overlord became more and more vivid by the second, remembering every battle they fought.

"And I want him back. I miss him, y'know." His head dropped. He couldn't show his face as he used to, feeling suddenly a bit empty. Warm, but with a void.

"Ah... I see... You used Kagero? And Overlord as well huh?" He sighed softly glancing down before shaking his head. "Sorry... I couldn't get our friend back." Seifer sighed again before shoving his hands into his pockets shutting his eyes halfway. He didn't really know a lot of people that shared the same clan he initially used, so it was nice he guessed to meet someone who actually used something like he did. Though this person had probably used in more in depth with the situations involving Hana, Neu and the other sealed clans. Actually Seifer didn't really know much about the past to well, even if it was explained to him. He just wasn't around for it, so he didn't experience it. "We'll have to just trust the other champions with them. I miss him to, but it won't do us much good to be down all the time... It's, not good for our health, ya'know? Besides, you want him to come back to us moping about?" he asked, trying to remain upbeat and cheerful as he could. At this point he wasn't sure why he continued to try really. Maybe it was just overall willpower?

Simply nodded along, trying to empathise but that only went so far. He never lost his clan, always having been a user of Nova Grapplers. Though he did connect with never having formed a real connection with his cards. Maybe this was the reason for Azure not evolving?

"So, you both lost good friends then, huh." Speaking solemnly, tilting his head to the side while clasping his hand on the same sided cheek. Humming for a bit as he contemplated.

"Guess we're just going to be sitting here until it's over but... Are you sure that girl isn't doing anything Haruka? She seems to be buzzing all over the place. Should we help or...?" Asking, hating the idea of sitting still. That being plain for all to see from his fidgeting.

"I guess sitting here just sulking isn't really something he would want, hahaha.." Haruka breaks out into a slight laughter. He's trying to keep his head held high while the champions do their jobs on Cray.

As for Yukino....

"Oh, she's doing something... Yeah. She is definitely doing something. Quite frankly it doesn't matter whether or not we know. If she called who I think she called, Neu isn't even the worst of our worries anymore." Haruka scratched his nose and bit on his lip.

"Yeah.. I think right now all we can do is wait. I have faith in them. Cero... Well I don't like the guy all too much. But he's strong, for sure. Tsubasa looks true and with a purpose. And Jellal... Well we have some history. He's strong, for sure." Haruka sighs in relief, turning to the guy and Alexander.

"By the way, I'm Haruka. You must be?" Haruka introduces himself, awaiting for the unknown boy's name.
Title: Re: (S2) EVENT: World Circuit/New York Stage
Post by: Cipher Izanagi on September 08, 2015, 11:52:37 AM
Cero... That name actually irritated Seifer as he'd kind of trashed on one of his other friend's Vanguard and the attitude he gave off just didn't seem... Right, for some reason. However, when Haruka actually introduced himself, asking for a name, he realized he'd been kind of rude and had yet to introduce himself. "Sorry about that... I'm Seifer Leo." he laughed sheepishly scratching the back of his head a bit before glancing off to the side. Yet again he'd forgotten to introduce himself to another stranger without being reminded to do so. "So... Jellal was it? He's the last Champion? ...Aqua Force right? I heard something about that mentioned and I do remember seeing Cero and Tsubasa use their decks before. I never got to meet Jellal though."
Title: Re: (S2) EVENT: World Circuit/New York Stage
Post by: Jello on September 08, 2015, 12:25:00 PM
"Nice to meet you, er, Seifer was it?" He extends his hand once more to him, just as be had with Alexander and everyone before him. It was symbolic indeed.

"Jellal Kisaragi. He was originally a Shadow Paladin player, however Aqua Force was his true clan, originally sealed away. They were let out around the same time the other 4 were sealed away. Kind of a cruel exchange, huh?" Haruka stared up at the ceiling, then back to the portals. He wanted to say something, but the words weren't coming.

The heat was rising rapidly. Haruka was almost in a sweat at this point.

"Is it getting warm in here or is that just me?" Haruka makes small talk, awaiting the arrival of the lion, Mr. Espoir, or the champions of Cray to return. Whichever get here first.

Sighed, a tad bit frustrated over having to accept the fact of not even being able to help the stranger. He would grab his vanguard deck, flipping through his units once more before putting the cards away in his case and placing it at the side. Finally his mind returning back to their conversation, keeping rather quiet as they spoke though nodding along to the conversation.

"Oh, well I'm Alexander Reis. I already introduced myself to all of you though but juuust in case you forgot you know?" Giving a small playful smirk as he spoke, trying to keep upbeat about the situation.

"Oh, and I fought Tsubasa before. I won actually, though his Ezel was a pretty tough opponent...Oh, and that Cero guy seemed pretty strong too, his own Ultimate Break unit was fierce like jeez." Alexander reminiscing the memories of the past few days in New York, having seen all these strong cardfighters over the time spent here, in truth his sense of the word strength broadening. If it weren't for the whole clan sealing deal, this solo vacation of his might have been a good time.

Though, he blinked as Haruka complained about the heat. "Uh, no it's actually a decent time for summer.... I think. Catch a cold?" Asking in a joking manner.

"Wait, simple question. Aren't you all circuit participants? Heck I saw your fights on the way here." The young man remembering this rather important fact just now, it was almost silly how it took so long for him to get it.

Father Espoir called back, alerting his daughter that preparations have been completed. Yukino thanked him, and closed the phone. As she did, Ezel re-materialized before his friend.

"Well?!" Yugure shouted at him, needing an answer with haste.

"Easy", the lion spoke, trying to settle her down first. It was futile, considering how feisty his vanguard was to get started. "Garmore found something. A sort of ancient weapon that came from the Realm of the Gods."

"Okay, so before you give more details, why was it never used for this situation?!"

"We didn't even know it existed. A lot of us went through Zenon's books, and they barely made sense as it is. Anyway, the weapon is also made up of energy, so it only really exists for a few moments, and takes a hell of a lot to even make."

"So how do we do it?"

"First, you need a conduit for the energy to pass through. That can just be the two of us. Second, said energy needs to come from a collective power source... And we have no idea what that is."

Yugure watched her friend begin to sweat nervously at his lack of knowledge, and began doing the same. The queen started shouting, questioning how he couldn't know all of the details before coming back. The lion stated that Garmore was looking into the rest and would tell them after deciphering it. They were reminded of the fact that they have a time-limit here, but there wasn't much else they could do. Pressed for time, she inquired if humanity could be the source. It was assumed by the golden warrior that humans were most likely meant to come together for it. Originally a weapon of the Grand Sanctuary, it made sense, despite the dragons also in the nation. Yukino questioned that, but Ezel shouted back that they can talk about details later.

Even though Ezel wasn't as feisty, he was able to go back and forth with her.

A platform moved over to the pair, and they hopped on. The both of them appeared on multiple screens across New York, and followed with as much of Planet Earth as possible. Espoir connections were strong... That aside, a recording of Hana's message in Times Square was played, then the images showed a feed of the battles going on against Neu.

"You see this, people?! This wasn't a joke - Cray is real! And those people are fighting for our sake! The rest of us can't fight up there with them, but we can still do something! You people who remember Royal Paladin, Shadow Paladin, Kagero, and Bermuda Triangle! You can bring those clans back into your lives if you help! Don't think they have to replace our allies either, as we can all live together!"

This lady was crazy.

Two months ago, people thinking Yukino was crazy would've upset her. But from a realistic viewpoint, she would be insane to people who didn't know about Cray's reality from the start. Even so...

"Start by lending me an ear, and answering this question out loud: What is the meaning of this game to you? Your vanguard?! The depth of your answer is critical to bringing it all back!"

Ezel surmised that humanity's meanings across the world were her choice of power source.

Haruka looked over to the curious Alexander. I guess he finally noticed who they were. Sadly the fame was pretty short-lived.

"Hmm? Oh, yeah, we are. Except I got beat out by my girlfriend round one..." Haruka fake pouts, dropping his head and pointing to the fiery lady on the stands. "Yeah. She's good by the way. Better than I'll ever be, that's for sure." With that Haruka laughs a bit, sitting against the base of the stage.

"Yeah, you probably didn't see much of me. I was eliminated Round 1."

As Haruka's small chat comes to a close, he notices Yukino shouting and talking about something. About Cray. What?

Haruka was unsure of what was happening until his phone updated with an emergency broadcast feed. Of what's going on right here, and on Cray. The fights. Everything.

"Oh dear.... She's gone and did it again." Haruka muttered.

"Oh, jeez, sounds rough." Slipping out the words as a condolence, she must have kept him on a tight leash he thought.

"I remember seeing you for a bit, I thought you were pretty good." Trying to salvage the other fighters pride in any way he could, though he wasn't one to lie either. While he couldn't quite remember the fight he did remember his impression of it, and specifically his vanguards frightening standing skill."

Though their small chat would come to a sudden halt as Harukas' girlfriend began to scream her lungs out. Hearing bits and pieces, something about cray and weapons. Alexander  blinking, rather lost.

Then, his phone began to beep. An image of a broadcast feed being forcefully played. The current issue at hand explained, the battles, and everything leading up to it.

"Huh, so I wasn't wrong about what I said about her earlier..." Was his response, trying to make light of the situation though he had a stern countenance. Even if he was joking he still took the matter at hand with a serious air.

Seifer listened quietly yet again to what was going on around him, worrying sightly as Haruka mentioned something about heat. Currently Seifer was wearing all black and wasn't feeling any detrimental effects. So what was wrong with Haruka? Just before he could ask any questions however, Yukino's actions startled him, prompting him to glance over where she was. She was trying to get the WHOLE world to believe a crazy story about Cray and the rest of it. And from the looks of it, it was basically hijacking broadcasts? At least that's what it partially looked like. Yukino in Seifer's mind might have a hard time getting things across to some of the people around here, let alone the whole world. And yet, Seifer hoped it succeeded. There was no reason it shouldn't honestly, at least around here. But with technology nowadays, someone could just as easily dismiss it as a hoax. There had to be something to help push what she was doing toward even greater success, but what was it? Turning his attention back to Haruka and Alexander while he thought to himself, his eyes turned toward Haruka. "Does she get like this a lot?"

Haruka sighs, nodding.

"Y-Yea, erm, yes. I mean, I wouldn't say OFTEN but.." Haruka breathes in, glances over to his insane lover, currently broadcasting worldwide. His mouth just wouldn't shut. It was like a battle between a jaw drop and a shut up. But all he got was this half agape mouth, shaking his head.

"She's a creative gal. Let's put it that way." With that, Haruka unzips his hoodie and tosses it to the stadium floor. Too hot. He was still wearing a T-shirt but even that was starting to be too warm for him. Haruka starts to wish he was wearing a tank top. He wasn't, and this made him really really upset. But he simply masks it by pushing himself off the ground and sitting on the stage. The mass hysteria had died, people were mostly silent with whispers here and there. It would be much louder, had Yukino not shot out the eardrums of everybody in a twenty foot radius. Haruka was of the lucky bunch not in range to go deaf.

Something in Haruka started to click and grind. He felt the heat of his blood move at a constant pace, but it wasn't fire. It was a mechanical heat. It was the turning of gears and machinery, the power of something else entirely not from this world. He realized it because Overlord's heat made Haruka sweat up an ocean, but this time it was an inner bodily heat, coming in a constant stream. Overlord's came in waves and made Haruka nearly die in some instances. But this was different. Something only he could feel, even if somebody else touched him.

"I kind of wish she was a bit more quiet sometimes, but then she wouldn't be Yukino... She wouldn't be the lioness of a girl I fell for." Haruka grinned, chuckling a bit, pocketing his hands and returning his attention to Seifer.

"Long story short, yeah, she's nuts, but a good kind of nuts." Haruka said this was a raised eyebrow, implying that this was indeed a common occurrence and that Seifer should just go with it.

Seifer laughed at the answer, amused by it. "I never said it was bad. Just never met a lot of you. The only person here that I fully know well enough is actually Hana. Though I won't try to say I know much more past having just met her no more than a day prior to the first round of the tournament." he admitted , sliding his hands in his pockets, observing the stadium around him as they waited. However, he noticed the discomfort of the other male, tilting his head to the side a little though there probably wasn't much of anything Seifer could do. He hardly knew the other anyway, but hey, he did say he hoped to meet new people because of this tournament. "Is everything alright?" he did decide to ask though. It was obvious that the other male was in discomfort at the very least. It didn't feel that hot to Seifer in the stadium, but who knows? The other male could just have a slightly higher normal body temperature. In anycase, Seifer continued to watch both Yukino and what she was doing, and the male before him, more out of curiosity and interest than anything else.

"Hmm? Yeah, I mean." Haruka stopped, mouth half-open again. He had something he wanted to say. Confiding in total strangers wasn't something he did normally. But he felt like this was something worth saying. To a fellow Kagero player, he must know the heat too. The feeling of fire embracing them in their fights. He wanted to explain what he was feeling right now.

"Seifer, right? I want to ask you something. Something that crazy lady up there asks everybody. But I want to ask you." Haruka hops off the stage, standing face-to-face with Seifer.

"What is your Vanguard?" Haruka spoke solemnly these words. This question wasn't something you casually asked, as it already sounded weird on top of the fact it's strictly related to a card game. But this was a question he wanted to ask. To both in fact.

"Alexander, you too. What's your Vanguard?" Haruka wasn't asking for a card. He wasn't asking for a clan or a one or two word answer. He was asking for a conviction. He was asking for a reason. He didn't need to know, but he felt by at least asking, it would ease the tension of what he had to say afterwards.

That question again? "...Ya know, Neu asked me the same question when I lost to her in there..." he spoke in a low tone looking at the doors again before shaking his head. "My answer will always remain the same though, no matter how selfish it is. My Vanguard is fighting to protect my friends, those precious to me." he laughed glancing down with half shut eyes and scratching his cheek. "Vanguard is full of strife and conflict. But it can bring us together as well. To that end, like I said, I'm going to do what I can to protect my friends and allies as best as I can, and try to have fun along the way." his answer probably didn't make much sense the way he phrased it, but it's what made sense to him so he stuck to that answer nodding. "Probably doesn't mean a whole lot in the long run right now seeing as I lost to someone I consider a friend."

He walked to the stadium to see how the fight was going. He saw some guys together in center stage. One was Seifer, a person he recognized. He casually walked up to them to see if they knew what was happening.

"Hey. What's going on so far?" he asked.
Title: Re: (S2) EVENT: World Circuit/New York Stage
Post by: Jello on September 08, 2015, 08:03:26 PM
To protect, and to have fun.

Haruka nodded to Seifer. This was his little confirmation. Haruka had decided his vanguard from the day he realized that he couldn't simply save the world just because he thought he could. He wasn't a superhero and he never claimed to be one, although he wanted to be one that badly. Haruka smiled, stepping back and smiling. Haruka still awaited Alexander's answer to the question, but he seemed deep in the thought and instead responded to Seifer with an answer of his own.

"Did she? Sorry, listening to Neu gives me a headache more often than not..." Haruka wasn't lying there.

"Your vanguard is pure. Protection of others is respectable, if nothing else. Also unattainable, without proper restraint and the want to keep someone safe." Haruka wanted to explain the desperate reality of the Vanguard he once had, to save and protect everybody. But he simply let it go there.

"My Vanguard is to evolve. To be something stronger than myself every single time. Falling behind just isn't an option anymore. I have to keep standing back up, no matter how many times I'm pushed down." Haruka balled his hand into a fist, raising it to his face, then opening it to reveal the palm of his hand. Nothing was in it, but it was metaphoric.

"To transcend." Haruka's words came out a bit strangely. Normally his speech was off and wasn't so great at making conversation, but for once this came naturally. He suddenly laughed a bit, realizing how weird what he said had sounded, then promptly apologized.

"S-sorry about that. Probably sounded a bit dorky, huh?" Haruka said pointing to himself.

Just as he finished his bit to Seifer, a somewhat familiar face showed. Haruki, if her remembered correctly. He only saw the name a few times on the bracket and his face popped up often around town back in Rijiku.

"Hmm? Come and watch for yourself." Haruka pointed to the monitor showing Yukino's broadcast.

The black clad brunette laughed shaking his head and waving his hand. "Not at all... Everyone has their own Vanguard. And while it's true, you can't protect everyone without power, in the long run your Vanguard and mine aren't so different. You want to evolve so that you don't get left behind right? And I want to protect everyone I can, so to that end to, I'll end up wanting to evolve and transcend. That's also what Vanguard is about, change." he grinned a bit before noticing Haruki has joined them. "Hey there Haruki. And yeah, it'd probably best if you just listened to the broadcasts. It might explain things better."

Haruka wasn't unfriendly in the slightest, it just took him a bit to get used to people he didn't converse with much prior to then.

"Hm? Our.. uh..." Haruka trailed off for a second. Drawing away the embarrassment, he just said it anyways. It really couldn't hurt in the end to tell the truth. Apparently Haruki stood for a lot of things moral-wise, so this might be a topic he'd be interested in to begin with.

"Our Vanguards; y'know, our reasons for fighting." Haruka gesticulated a bit with his hands to get the point across it was a bit serious. Yet despite his seriousness, Haruka still faced a heat running through every vein and bone. He wasn't sure if it was uncomfortable or not, but what he did recognize is that the heat wasn't rising or lowering. It felt like having blood rush to your head constantly, and without the faint feeling. The gears grind once more, the well oiled-machine moving once again. He breathed in heavy, trying to alleviate the building pressure all over. It helped, for a moment.

"Nice to meetcha'." Haruka extends a hand to the guy, considering it'd be pretty rude if he didn't offer it to him if he offered it to everybody else as well.

The sudden barrage of kindness took Haruka about. He returned the joviality with a smile and some kind words as well.

"Wow, you got past a couple rounds? Nice! I was taken out Round 1. It's good to see another fellow competitor. Good to you too, man."

Haruka also nodded in agreement to Haruki's statement about similar names. They were quite literally one vowel sound apart. Hopefully they don't do that thing where they both respond to the same name being called on accident.

Cero returned to the arena after his defeat at the hands of Link Joker...  His face was covered in tears, yet he was still smiling, just a bit.  Holding his last copy of Dragonic Kaiser Vermillion in his hand, Cero walked on.  "

"I'm sorry...  I failed you, Vermillion...  I failed you, my friend..."  With Vermillion's sacrifice, Cero finally realized he did have one friend in this world.  A friend he had never spoken to, but one worthy of respect more than any being on the planet.  Dragonic Kaiser Vermillion.  Looking up to the sky, it began to rain again.  Returning Vermillion to his deck case, Cero made a vow.

"I make an oath to you here, Vermillion.  I will find a way to transcend and obtain the power that brought us to our knees, and use it to bring the entire world to greater heights."

Humanity responded with positive ideals and drives as the majority. Vanguard that is fun, joyful, a new experience, a journey, an adventure, a way of bonding. Even those with selfish Vanguards still yearned for happiness from the game. The Chosen Swordsman and Blazing Lion shined with a golden light, yellow particles gathering from all around the Earth to the stadium. Visibly struggling, being the conduits obviously took an enormous strain on the pair. Neither of them would give up, but the pain was incredibly harsh. Yukino took the hand of her friend, and gripped it tightly. Ezel responded with a fiercer grip, both giving each other their resolve to keep the other on their feet. Bladed eyes activated as the light began taking the shape of an enormous, curved sword, similar to Ezel's own weapons.

Even so, it clearly wasn't enough. There was no way they'd hold out, and Earth's power isn't enough.

So Vanguard cards began glowing. Every last one from a human being who expressed their opinions.

Yukino could see it... images of Gold Paladin giving them their wills as well. Streams of hope shot upward from each and every other nation, showing a form of unification between the planets. Earth and Cray worked in tandem by sharing their dreams to the masses. As a result, the giant weapon was finishing itself with haste, soon ending the strain of the duo. Eventually, it completed itself; the weapon of mass hope. The woman dropped to her knees, exhausted, and the caped hero followed. They were both panting heavily, trying to catch their breath instead of taking a rest, as this wasn't the end of it.

"What... now...?" Ezel asked.

"We have to... send it... to them..." Yukino forced herself up. Ezel stood up with her. Holding her arms out, she began moving the sword toward Tsubasa's gate. However, when pushing it through was attempted, the gate rejected it. Though, they noticed it had tried to break through. "Dammit...!"

"Really?! It's not enough?! The power of two worlds...?!" Ezel cringed, gritting his teeth.

"... Wait..." The queen had an idea. If the power of two worlds in one blade wasn't enough... what if she could just keep making blades until it was enough? Yes, of course! This ability that hails from the traitorous blacksmith resides in her! If this alone wasn't enough, then make it enough! That was her driving force!

"Yugure...?"

"I'm going to duplicate it!"

"... Are you insane?! Making this one took everything we had as it is!"

"And we're going to need more for them to beat Neu's true power! For it to even reach them!"

"... Alright... Fine! Everyone who thinks you're crazy is right, you know!"

"I'm not disagreeing with that notion anymore!"

Yugure smirked, accepting that a mental hospital was most likely a good home for her. Ezel, though worried, trusted her, and placed both of his hands on her shoulders. Beginning to roar in sync, large blueprints appeared on the left side of the sword. Both of the Meister's hands traced the outline of it, and forged it into existence. The girl winced, but kept going. To the right, another was forged, and her scar wound burst. The lion gave his concerns, however, she stated this still isn't enough. It was all he could do to give as much energy to her as possible while keeping her up. Bystanders and awestruck masses simply watched this woman tear herself apart, inspired by her drive. A fourth was created, her hands somehow bleeding... This divine craftsmanship... As if she's done it over and over again eons ago, and these scarlet soaked palms were results of each beautiful armament...

Those hands were clenched into fists.

Five swords total were finished. One original, four others that were replicated wills of the masses. Yes... this was something she could do. Conveying everyone's feelings and turning them into power was exactly what she could do. Waving bloodied hands, the blacksmith moved the weapons about with some form of telepathy. They whirled about in the stadium, and then stabbed themselves into the gates. The swords came out, and the gates positioned themselves in the air in front of the duo. All five passed through the gates, as if cutting them in half. The gates themselves suddenly merged, and the original blade ripped open a large hole on the sky that displayed the battlefield.

"Take this! The faith and power of two worlds! Use it to end this nightmare!"

The first went through the portal and dissipated immediately, and a thin layer of light flashed over the gap. Subsequently, the four remaining swords flew through successfully.

Yukino fainted, and Ezel caught her in his arms. He gazed into the war grounds calmly.

"So this is the end we all wanted to reach..."

Seeing yet another champion go down, Seifer cringed a little. He couldn't help but feel pain for Neu as well but... He was growing anxious. Gripping the leg of his pants he bit his lip, he grew even more worried by the moment. He wished now more than ever he could go back. He wished he was able to do something again. He'd had faith in the ones after him and they fell one by one. It was almost an even trade, taking each of the clans down with them, and far more than he managed to do... And yet it still didn't feel like enough. He felt like that he needed to try and help again, and yet... He was powerless to do so. He'd lost Kagero before this started, and now with Great Nature locked away from him, what could he do? The male started to pace until the lights flashed by into the door. It actually made him jump but what made him worry more was the now unconscious person on the stage being held by a... Unit? What? And it was Ezel to? But... Trying to make all the connections in his head only made it more confusing for him to understand so he decided to push that to the side for now as he trotted over with a worried look. "Uh... Mister Ezel I guess? What happened? And were those lights? What did she just do?" he asked a string of questions, hopefully not being to intruding but he was still bothered by the fact that the champions were falling so his filter was starting to decay.

Her mind felt as if it shattered into pieces.

Hana fell onto her knees and started screaming, grabbing her head as four gates crashed down all at once. The last one fluctuated, and she swung back and forth, her eyes still closed, trying to keep the last fighter within the space. A piece of own power came with each and every fighter, and four had been shattered. She watched within her mind, keeping the gateways open as well, but she couldn't handle the pain after the fourth had fallen. Her head felt like it was continually being hit by a hammer, swung around from all angles. She started to cry, she laid down and tears came from her closed eyes. She was now covering her face and trying to keep herself silent to now worry anyone, the rest of fighter's defeat was enough. Slowly beginning to lose consciousness, she tried to find a way to keep moving onward. Neu was using Bermuda Triangle, she saw Pacifica as well as Pacifica's evolution which she was never able to achieve herself. A truly beautiful sight to her, it was the Eternal Idol. Silently she wept, the image of her old comrades and a belief in a bright future being the old things to keep her from falling apart.

"The future we're all going to."

Alexander was in deep thought for awhile, contemplating Harukas question as the events proceeded to fall down along their destiny. Then, his concentration was broken, Yukinos' actions causing a spectacle which one would be lucky to even have the chance to hear about. "Woah." Was the one word he was able to let out, the glowing energy swirling about as both him and his cards began to give a dull shine. "

"My Vanguard... Huh." He was able to slip out, the power he was donating to Yukinos creations holding a less radiant sheen than that of the others. He had not stated his will, his mind. The power he was giving having been sub par. That is until he would arrive at his answer. "My Vanguard...Is to make friends. So I won't be alone anymore. It's why I wanted to be stronger, to meet more players." Repeating these words in his mind, the realization being a great release on him. He was just a lonely young man, that had found an answer through playing a card game, or at the very least making his way to one.

Time passed as he watched Yukino etch the weapons into reality, from pure energy into exquisite curved blades that radiated the light that came from the people and their cards. An accumulation of hopes and dreams to break the seal and free their allies. Though he didn't expectfor Ezel himself to be recreated. Walking towards where he was alongside Hana and Yukino.

"Ah, what. You're....Alive on Earth and not Cray?" Blinking, wanting to hold back the words that he wanted to say. Just mumbling them, though a super powered warrior such as Ezel might have heard them. "Wonder if Azure Dragon would beat you on Earth, too"

Then, he'd snap back to the actual problem. "Wait, are they okay?" Worry evident in his voice for the strangers.

"No, I'm a s-" Ezel stopped. Normally, Yugure's units were in spirit form. Nobody could talk to them except her, but he realized that two people just spoke to him. "Wait, what?!" The lion was shocked, he was visible on Earth! He was in their reality! Thinking on it... when they came back from the Rift, he was able to carry Yukino...

"They'll be alright after-"

Wait what did he just say?

"Excuse me?!"

Seifer watched the lion and the boy he'd met recently talk, finding the lion's reaction to being talked to rather comedic. However the moment Alexander said what he did about the Azure Dragon, Seifer visibly backed up several yards with his hands up in front of his chest. Best to stay out of this one, even if he didn't cause anything in it. In the back of his mind though he still found it funny.

Alexander blinked, it seemed he had heard him. A mischievous smirk would appear on his face, eyeing the lion down as he began to tease him some more. "Well, if they're fine that's good. But did I strike a nerve oh golden lion? Don't remember Azure Dragon smacking you down." Chuckling lightly.

"Ah cmon I'm kidding, you're strong. It was a fun fight then as well, are you sure they'll be okay though? I feel Haruka might end up having a heart attack if his so called bossy girlfriend wasn't well..."

"You little punk..."

Ezel oughta knock this kid's teeth out, but he know it was in good sport. The lion chuckled after a moment.

"I'm positive. I know Yugure, and I know her sister."

Yukino bleeding out may warrant an ambulance, however...

As the two fighters stood within the light that surrounded them, a new situation arose, Neu had appeared very tired and before she can thank him she collapsed while uttering what appeared to be a "Thank you". At that moment, her stride card transformed into a grade 0 in front of their eyes.

Tsubasa immediately extends his arms and catches Neu midfall, "Neu...are you ok?" he asked. His words were returned by silence and a slight form of breathing. "...She must be tired...I have to get her some help......she was amazing..." he said, as he carried her on his arms like a child and began walking towards the gate.

"...Throughout this experience...i've grown and developed...I learned a lot about myself and the person I want to become..and above all I fulfilled my promises to my comrades...and you Neu.." he thought, as he began to emerge from the gate with the Neu held in his arms and the welcoming crowd to embrace their return.

"...Thank you...everyone..." he said, when he saw the amount of people who were there to support this result. "...No time to waste...we need an ambulance!"

Ezel felt the power of his own transcendence in the distance. One of his many bright futures, one with this hero: Tsubasa. Ahmes and Yunos came back with him in solidified forms, and saw Yugure leaning against a wall, bleeding. Ahmes immediately rushed over, screaming: "Yugure! Princess!". Yunos gave Tsubasa a congratulatory nudge, his quiet way of commending a job well done. The lion looked toward the swordsman of darkness, expecting something. Blaster Dark, looked down and chuckled, uttering "Not bad, kid", before turning his attention to the girls. Well, it was good enough, coming from the shadow tsundere. Ezel laughed, and approached Tsubasa to give him a pat on the back.

Somehow, Yukino didn't completely bleed out. That was because people who watched her magical crafting called for medical help awhile ago. Said medics arrived earlier, stabilizing the sisters as much as possible. A couple took note of Neu after seeing things through the gate, and approached to help if they could.

"It's... over...?" The woman awoke, questioning her first Avatar. The swordsman of light nodded, and hugged his Vanguard. They had been separated for so long, even if the blasters of fate kept fighting as spirits. This warmth couldn't be captured without having them physically here. Her cherished swords had finally come back, thanks to the Gold Paladin leader she entrusted the future with. Nearly crying, Yunos crouched down, and asked where their "welcome home" is. The trio laughed, and she softly spoke: "Welcome home. Thank you..." making sure to impart words of gratitude to Tsubasa - to all of the champions who fought.

"Good to be back. I need to stretch after being caged for so long", Yunos began doing as he said. "Not sure what would've been worse: a jail cell or that place."

"It's been quite awhile since you've had a warm bed, I'm assuming." Ahmes noted.

"Feh. With the civil war and War of Liberation done, I can relax."

"Hey, is Hana going to be okay?" Yukino chimed in, asking the blasters and nearby medics. She was assured the princess would be fine upon waking up. The queen gave a sigh of relief, and struggled to stand up. Yunos did his part in holding her up.

"We can use this", Ezel stated, looking toward the open rift in the sky. "to get to Cray."

"Now...?" Yugure questioned.

"It won't stay open for long", the lion informed them. The blasters understood what they were planning very quickly.

"... Right. I'll be heading with you guys in a minute, then." Yukino replied, announcing that she was going to the other planet with them.

Neu was defeated. Haruka knew this much, because everybody was coming out of the portal, and everyone was smiling and there was an ambulance and Yukino was bleeding but something was all so terribly wrong.

Overlord was back. He was back, he was alive and unsealed and Haruka knew he was.

But there was no heat. He couldn't feel Overlord. He couldn't feel the waves of heat he used to, and he couldn't feel his presence. Not even a little. The barren hole in Haruka's chest remained barren. Everything was moving in slow motion as he sat on the floor, staring at the rift portal.

"... Its cold."

Alexander was for a moment chit chatting with a vanguard unit and the next watching some out of wolrd destiny unfold. He glanced towards the door, seeing as Tsubasa came out carrying Nue. Two knights one clad in darkness and the other light at their side, he blinked as he glanced at both parties. The ones under medical treatment and the victors coming out carrying the defeated.

"You did it!" He yelled, happy about the victory, ecstatic about others gaining their friends and comrades back. He watched the interaction of the units and Yukino, listening to their conversation mostly silent but holding a content look. Though, Yukinos words made him break his silence as he yelled out a snappy and misplaced "What?" Before speaking at a more normal volume but stll raised. "How can a person from Earth even go there?" Bewiderement heard in his words.

"Haruka?" Yukino called out to her boyfriend, having Yunos help her over to him.

Ezel sighed, realizing goodbyes would take awhile, despite the time limit. Though, this was good, he had something to say. Something to say to the one who dealt the final blow in saving everything. The lion turned to Tsubasa, and began speaking.

"You know... You're really goddamn cheesy. The stuff you were saying back there to Neu was... well, I can't say I would've made a better choice of words. Being a member of Gold Paladin means you're entitled to and expected to spew out as much cheddar as possible. You did that and more. I.. I just want you to know that I'm proud of you for sticking to your dreams and motives. ... Sounds kind of weird coming from someone on a faraway planet, I know.

The five champions picked stepped forward with unshakable resolution and amazing courage. These qualities would make Guardian Dragons and past kings smile, passing down your stories with pride. Faced with the Messiah, you still showed off a future. A future born of you and me, backed by everyone else. You are the Vanguard of your own future, and I believe in following you.

... I've given a lot of speeches before during this war, and this one... haha... is the most garbled. I'm not sure what to say to express how glad I am to have you as a Vanguard, and more importantly, a friend. I could go on and on about it, really. I'm sure Neu feels the same as I do knowing you were there and are here. As does everyone. Yugure finally has her blasters back, the princess has Bermuda Triangle back, both worlds have their hope and joy back.

And it's thanks to you, Tsubasa Hayato.

Gold Paladin has a bright, brilliant era coming up with you at the lead."

Ezel gave a heartfelt speech to the hero, fumbling over his thoughts. Initially, he was simply a natural at giving average statements of encouragement. It was simply to keep Gold Paladin going, and due to his charisma, it worked. But rarely, if ever, did he give a speech to a friend. This journey through the War of Liberation thought him to not value comrades, but "friends", people he made very real bonds with. Not bonds of the sword, but bonds of the heart. He made a mental oath to strive for the future that Tsubasa summoned - the Lion Emperor that returns all to the shining glory.

"... You know, 'Liberation' after you sounds like a neat idea", he added, coming up with something.

Ahmes heard Alexander, and replied: "Ezel judged that we could do so from this Rift. I've never heard of a human cross the gap between worlds before beyond just images, so I've no idea."

"We need to get her treated immediately!" She heard the rustle of Angel Feathers running about.
"GAHHH BELLA-CHAN!!" Nociel panicked, the pain her head still continued.

It seems that she actually passed out due to the pain.

"You!?" Nociel's voice seems to have changed direction, looking surprised.

Hana was still asleep, but she felt an embrace around her. She was dreaming, possibly dreaming a really great dream. A pink dress, long yellow-ish hair. Two penguins surrounded them, jumping about. No doubt it was her, Pacifica. She looked older, much stronger, and more mature over all. Accomplishing their dreams, this was the form that Pacifica took...

"Hana-chan... I'm back... I'm back..." Pacifica held Hana more tightly.
"Pacifica!" Nociel exclaimed in shock, though there was an obvious amount of joy in the way which she did.

The dream would hopefully never end, hopefully would be reached. Pacifica snapped her fingers and Hana quickly shot up, waking up from her dream. In her hand was a deck, Bermuda Triangle. They were really back now. It feels like its been awhile and many battles have been fought. She has changed so much, but will they still accept her? She closed her eyes and attempted to visit their concert hall in order to check on them.

"Vanguard-chan!" Flute played a flute. Aqua then slapped her with a fish.
"We're setting up for our next concert!" Sedna moved along excitedly.
"So soon?" Hana asked.
"We've been on a hiatus too long Hana-chan, we need to get back in the groove!" Their voices gave her comfort. To hear them, Hana felt as if she was in paradise. Then she had an idea.
"Nociel is preforming with you guys on the next one!"
"Of course!" Pacifica had an evil grin.

Back on Earth, Hana stood up, with a few of the doctors panicking upon her action, but she assured them that she was fine. Looking around, things were returning themselves to the way they were. Certainly, Hana had ways to go in order to return to how things were, but at the very least, now it was all in motion again. Her dream now once again felt full and exciting. She couldn't wait for the next Vanguard fight, there was no way that she would ever miss a performance by the Bermuda Triangle.

It was so absolutely cold. Everything Haruka had felt for the past day was a constant warmth. And it was cold now. The chill in his bones were creating a resonating sound. The tick of a metronome played in his head until-

Snap!

The sound of metal wires snapping in his head had gone through like a symphony of steel.

Haruka fell from his knees to his back, smiling. There wasn't much he cared for at the moment. The instant he landed he shut his eyes and fell asleep.

He wasn't tired, not even exhausted. He simply didn't want to be awake anymore.

Blinked, the shining swordsman answering his question though it was directed at Yukinos' journey and not the units. He simply watched from the sidelines for the most part, noting as Hana had gotten up and had more or less decided it on a all's well ends well type scenario. Letting out a satisfied huff of air, swerving his head to where Haruka was to tease him about his girlfriend. Sadly, his expectations were shattered, Haruka laying on his back with a smile as he slept? A confusing scenario for Alexander to watch, opening his mouth to speak out the fact.

"Uh, Haruka you okay?" Piping up loudly as he walked over to him, leaning down as he poked the young mans cheekhoping for a reaction, feeling an unearthly chill from him.

"He feels a bit cold, huh." Being his remark as he got up and turned to Yukino and the units.

Hmm.... Hm...

It wasn't dark, like expected. Something else was born inside Haruka. His ambition to move forward required something more than being able to stand up. He had to move forward. Those he loved had just abandoned him.

Overlord did not respond to Haruka's call, his presence did not return.

Yukino was being lifted into Cray, simply disappearing without so much as a notice. So much for a good school year...

His friends were moving forward without him and it infuriated him to the core. Every bit was just building as rage. What made him deserve such a cruel fate?

His void was slowly being filled with something. Nothing you could touch. It was energy. Heat.

Fire.

The flames of betrayal were gradually growing, filling in the hole. The gap was closed by an inferno. Haruka was about to break a sweat. But Haruka wasn't the one who wanted to awaken. The one who woke to Alexander's touch was...

"Please do not touch me.". Sera was starting to heat up like crazy. The blood was rushing at god speed.

No one had time to respond to his question as his head swerved to meet the eyes of the awakened Haruka.

"Phew, you're okay. I was worried for a moment." Stating truthfully, sure he just met the guy but he had the feeling they were a good person at the very least. He blinked, having noticed what they said.

"Ah, sorry Haruka. Didn't mean to be rude or anything." Apologizing, though eyeing them for a moment. Something felt off, a difference in the tone of voice? He shrugged it off as not being a big deal before speaking.

'Want a hand?" Asking as seeing Haruka was still very much on the ground.

Watching all of the events transpire from a distance, Neo was relieved. The fight was over. Neu was defeated at last. But he couldn't help but wonder:

"What was Neu's true goal and focus throughout all of this?" Neo asked himself

Neo then stared at his Narukami deck, wondering what was next for him. The world was saved, Neo found out what truly happened to his parents in the end, what was left for Neo to do? Even he wasn't sure of that answer himself.

"Everyone I met, everyone I fought, all had a great importance to me" Neo said

Neo then walked off, Off to his adventure..

Haruka, or rather, Sera stood up, dusting off his T-Shirt. He proceeds to walk towards the stage, gran his loose Hoodie hanging on the edge and leaving Alexander with a few words.

"Do not hurt us. I do not believe he could take another loss."

He then proceeds to hand Alexander a piece of paper with Haruka's phone number. Sera trusted Alexander more than anybody else he'd encountered while inside of Haruka.

Sera equips his hoodie and calmly disappears out of the front door of the hall. His brisk walk pattern was swift but not unreasonably fast. It was meant to make a breeze, for Haruka's sake. His body was boiling and his emotions right now weren't any better.

A medical team rushed over and took Neu from Tsubasa's arms, quickly placing her onto a stretcher and hurrying her off to a side of the stage. Her body had surpassed human limits and within the space, even the limit of those whom were even of a divine status. To have fought five of the greatest fighters on Cray on her own, and to have been victorious against all but one was certainly a feat that was unimaginable. The detrimental effects of using the Rift had been eating away at her for so long, but if it wasn't for the energy that the space supplied her, she would have had this happen a long time ago. The doctors quickly ran about, the first order of business being to start up her heart again. Her body was in a state of exhaustion, where each and every part of it was basically reduced to the durability of a child's. This wasn't going to kill her, but it would take a lot of time before she could even fight again, or stand up and walk on her own much less. The medical personnel began their work.

So if the world is still developing... wait I don't even get what that means. Maybe you do?... Neon Messiah-.... so Harmonics, this is the state your taking? I can't do much with you, haha we can't even fight, but then again, with the way I am now its obvious that I'll have to wait. You're developing too aren't you? Taking this form to grow into a new one. I guess, so will I. You know, I feel like a kid again, I wanna discover things and just enjoy myself, have fun and all that. Well I guess that's weird coming from someone who actually knows everything since I was basically a god. Wait, Neon Messiah so were you! We're on the same boat! Hahaha you really are my avatar. Let's grow with everyone this time, its like our second chance. To walk with humanity, not ahead of it. Together...

Neu slowly opened her eyes, the operators looking at her in surprise, others in happiness. Her first idea was to stand up, she tried to, but her body immediately collapsed on itself and her arm slipped. She quickly fell back onto the bed. Next she tried to move her arms but she was unable to. Her mind commanded it, but she wasn't able to at all.

"Don't try to do anything, just relax." The doctor informed her.
"R-right..." She was surprised that she was still able to speak, at least that had returned. While recovering, she would be taken to a hospital and would have to stay there for a good deal of time until her body catches up with what she's been doing. Now among everyone in the stadium, it seems that Neu was the most frail and weakest of them all. She closed her eyes and returned to her thoughts, her heart now beating and her future looking bright once more.
