Title: Quick Question on Metalborg Dryon
Post by: [FD] Mordecai on June 22, 2014, 12:27:26 PM
One of Metalborg Dryon's abilities reads "When this unit attacks a Vanguard, if you have another unit in the center column, this unit gets power +3000 until the end of that battle." My question is, if Dryon is in Legion, does the mate count as another unit? If so, if I also have a unit in the rear guard circle behind Dryon, does that give +6000 or just +3000?

Thanks in advance!

No, only Dryon would get the +3000 because the text specifically says this unit.

I understand that much, I'm asking if it would gain +6000 because the mate is technically also in the center column.

yes the mate counts as another unit and no the ability only gives 3k since it doesnt say it gains 3k for every other unit in the column but rather gains 3k if there is another unit

It answers it because in English if they were to use multiple subjects/ plural version instead of saying this, they would say these units or say both units.

To put it simply it will only get +3000 power total regardless how many other units are in the center column. The Mate does count as a different unit and will give the +3000 if it's in legion and there are no other units in the center column.
