Title: (NYC) Field: Central Park

Its like the park back at home but bigger and better.

Field Status
Packed with multiple people of all kinds.
Ranging from tourists to locals, this place is filled with all kids of opportunity.
There also lots and lots of benches.
!

What is a field?
A field is an area where events between characters or even individual characters may happen. As replies to these posts, characters may chronicle events that transpire between each other which would often be as a result of or due to a Cardfight. Field events are great ways to develop characters as well as character relationships. Field events, for example, could include a Cardfight as part of a rivalry between two individuals. It can be something as simple as a simple outing or meeting that then leads to a game of Vanguard. Or something that would greatly move the plot, a fight between someone of the heroic affinity and someone of the villainous affinity.

Remember, Cray is looking for the best of the best to be a leader. This does not mean that the leader has to be filled with good intentions, its anyone who the cards seem to decide is fit. Heroes can do as much as they can, but without villains pushing the story forward with their schemes, there isn't much to save. So if you are on the villainous side, use these areas to move along with your plots and schemes. You may ask others to come and roleplay with you and anyone can post in these areas, there is no limit other than that of being logical and simply just being respectful to your fellow fighters.

Any character that you interact with during field events may get affinity +1 or -1 with you.
Certain fields may have special events and things happening there in order to start up some action.

Post events that transpire below based on you character's own perspective, and just have fun with it!
Good luck!

After departing from the airport and checking in at the hotel, Haruki decided to see the sights of New York. One of the places he wanted to go to was Central Park because it sounded like a fun spot to have a good time before the first round of the World Circuit began. Upon arrival, he realized that the park was massive, way bigger than Rijuku back at home. He found a minimap of the area and sat on a bench in the area, looking for the great spots in the park.

Upon leaving the Hotel, Shiki asked around for some sort of guide, and upon acquiring one departed on a trip along the Central Park, he wasn't really interested in any of this and the trip was rather boring. He shrugged off every "attraction", but it was something to do since there was nothing to watch, nothing to read, nobody to really meet. Atleast he has completely no luck in coming across any other parcipants for this event. Not even his opponent, whoever that person is.

He had gotten Satoshi's text, yet he was already out the door.

"sleep well, buddy -haru"

Haruka learned a decent amount of English from his aunt, who actually was born in America and lived in California for years. A lot of the stuff he learned was basic, but he even picked up a decent amount of complex words and signals. Navigating the city was mostly a breeze, thing is, the airhead that is Haruka Nakahara ended up reading the map upside down. He got where he was going, only several hours after he should've.

After appearing at the rather... really freaking huge place that Americans called a "park", he proceeded to find a bench. A special bench. It would be his bench and that would be where he stargazed for the next two days, because without the standard park stargazing bench, Haruka felt a bit incomplete. He cracked open a second soda he grabbed from the vending machine at the hotel and sipped.

Fizzzzzzzle.

It made a nice sound, and the first sip was always the best. He stared at clouds, awaiting for the sun to go down. He couldn't really stay in the hotel with so much hype for the tournament. However, with knowledge of his opponent, he was already dissatisfied. He liked flashy fights, so having the first round be something of a main event for him was a bit of a letdown, having to fight Yukino. It made the soda taste a bit worse all of a sudden.

"Well.. eh, we'll make it good anyhow."

Sip. Sip.

The tour went on and on with seemingly no end, every attraction was basically a regular building or something and they all seemed pretty normal despite being called "attractions", he got really sick of it and probably did the biggest mistake of his life that he'd regret forever, he went away from the tour on his own. This meant that he'd probably get lost and never be seen by a single man ever again.

But to his luck, he found his way back to the park, although it was a different part of it but maybe it was for the better? He came across a bench, like noone other as it was occupied by the person that saved his life from the fate of being stuck on top of a bush. But he wouldn't really know it, afterall he never really paid attention to that person. He was also part of this event so there was that. He sat next to him, exhausted from all the walking hoping that the man would strike a conversation with him or something.

The soda was mostly empty at this point, Haruka made no progress in his cloud watching as they all seemed to just stand still.

Spooky.

He heard the bench squeak a little as a not-so familiar face showed up. Haruka knows the person, but the name escapes him. Intently staring for a few seconds, he remembers the guy clearly.

"Pervert-kun!" Haruka smiles, patting the guy on the back. It's been awhile since they last had a conversation. As long as he could remember, it was when they were both mutually under the abuse of the former Ice Queen, Pervert-kun taking the brunt of the hit with several kicks repeatedly, nearly killing the poor guy. Haruka got one glorious knee right in the nose and felt it for days.

"How've you been? It's been, uh... hmm, a long time, I suppose. You competing today?" Haruka was rather inquisitive today, or maybe curious was a better way of describing his jittery personality. He was actually a tad bit too excited for the trip he was currently on.

Although it was a bigger place than he was used to, Haruki was able to have fun in Central Park. It was a great area for him to chillax before the upcoming World Circuit event. The young man of justice put his bag down as a pillow and relaxed in the cool afternoon.

With shopping bags from, The Hershey Store, The NBC store, Starbucks, Top of the Rock, and more, Hazama decided to go get some relaxation under the sunset sky. The time change affected him a little bit because he would only become tired at 1am in NY time.

I know the perfect place to go at this time of night, where everything is dim, but you can still see your surroundings, Central Park.

Hazama's knowledge of NYC was pretty great as he has visited five times, and lived just outside of the city for six months. He was so excited to see the reflection lake/pool, he failed to notice some of the people in the park.

"This is... amazing. It has been a while since I have seen you in your astounding beauty."

He gazed at the lake and the beautiful reflection it put off from the trees and the skyscrapers behind it. "I wish things could just be like they used to," he mumbled under his breath.

When his "name" was called, Shiki jumped seeing how sudden it was. He didn't really mind the name, rather he didn't really care about it, or was too dumb to understand that it's somewhat insulting. The guy next to him talked as if he knew it, he even patted him on the back as if they were friends, well he just went along with it and smiled at him.

"Yeah uh.. I'm fine! And yes, I'm here for the World Circuit!"... "What about you?" he added, being really curious as to if maybe this is his opponent.

Shiki then reached into his pocket for a phone, remembering that he could technically phone Neu, and he really wanted to, wondering if she's in this too and how she is overall but there was one problem.. he doesn't really know how to use a phone, and left her number in one of those 50 other school outfits he had in his hotel room. Whoops.

"That's good! Err, yeah I'm here for the World Circuit too. Quite frankly, I'm not too forward to the first round opponent though..."

Haruka stretched out, sighing somewhat miserably. At least Pervert-kun responded smiling, meaning Haruka probably hadn't offended him. But he was curious if the guy had a real name he preferred.

"So, erm, what's your name?" Haruka asked, pocketing his hands. He left the empty can by his feet and began his inquisition. He was actually interested in the guy, not in the weird way, but because he actually helped him out once and then they never really formally spoke beyond that point ever. It was a bit discouraging to think Pervert-kun had ignored Haruka for a whole three months. Haruka frowned a little at the thought, but perked back up realizing he was still talking to the guy.

As Haruki looked up at the scenery around him, he noticed a familiar face nearby. Hazama had just arrived at Central Park with shopping bags packed with things he'd recently bought in New York. The young man of justice got up to say hello, but he noticed that Hazama was more focused at the scenic view too and probably didn't want to be disturbed. He gave a friendly wave to the man instead, hoping to catch his attention in a calm manner.

Next, out od nowhere, Hazama sees a familiar face in the pool, as it must be coming towards him. Without turning around he says, "Well, is it isn't Haruki, 'the young man of justice'," adding sarcasm to that last part.

Haruki's greeting is nice and calm, with a gentle wave as if he was not trying to provoke Hazama to get all mad at him for some reason. "This is an odd place for a kid like yourself to be here. I'm guessing the only reason that is is because you have joined the circuit," he follows up with his back still turned against the boy. "Now what do you want?"

Haruki was surprised to hear Hazama talking to him without looking at him. Perhaps he was still interested in seeing the great sights of the park. In any case, he came out with the World Circuit right off the bat. Haruki replied to answer his brief question.

"I was just relaxing here in Central Park before I had my first round in the World Circuit tomorrow. Checked the schedule for fights, and it looks like we're going against each other to start it out."

"Is that so? Well it will be interesting to see if you have grown, or that little baby I met three months ago."

Hazama is still staring at the beauty of the pool, as the last light of day fades away beyond the horizon.

"The name's Akama Shiki." he answered, normally he'd be suspicious about people asking for his name, but he needed to give it out at some point so his opponent can know who he's facing.

Shiki yawned, stretching out a bit. Sure, he slept for almost the entire flight but he was still rather bored and in turn, sleepy. It was getting kinda late too with his opponent not in sight. He pulled out a scrap of paper from his pocket, looking at it. On it, "Noah Grimm" was written in barely readable handwriting, most likely Shiki's. He looked over at the guy next to him,

"So uh.. are you, or have you seen Noah Grimm?" he asked, is head tilted slighty to the left.

Neo walked out the hotel and walked to what seemed like a huge park.

"So this is Central Park. Ive heard alot of things about it" Neo said to himself

Neo picked up a mini map and started walking around. He walked up to a pool area and noticed Haruki and Hazama there.

"Hey guys" Neo said while waving to them both

"I'll be sure to show you how I've grown with my clan Hazama. With justice at my side, there's no way I'll back down." Haruki was determined for his fight with Hazama rapidly approaching.

Suddenly, he heard a call of hello and saw Neo walking towards them. The young man of justice waved back in the same friendly way and gave a happy greeting in return.

"Hey Neo. Great to see that you made it here."

"Noah.. Grimm?" Haruka scratched his chin.

"Can't say I know the name... Oh, I'm Haruka by the way. Haruka Nakahara." He outstretched his hand for a shake. He was rather interested in this Shiki guy. He seemed rather awkward, but at the same time not the worst guy ever.

He could have been Cero.

"Well, I wish you luck with your fights. Seems like I have to head to the stadium for mine actually, heh." He leaves his hand out for a shake, just before heading back to the arena for his first fights... With his girlfriend.

Hazama hears another familiar voice approaching him from behind. He turns around, phone in hand as a little flashlight to see if it really was him.

"Well it's the guy who almost died. Oh how it was funny when you passed out. Though I couldn't have let you die. So I'm guessing you are here for the circuit too."

"Thats right, im here for the circuit as well" Neo said to him

Neo was surprised to see Hazama here, even if Hazama still had his "evil" attitude. Neo had something to say to himas well as Haruki.

"Seeing as your both here, I wanted to thank you both for saving my life that day" Neo said to them both

"I owe you both"

Hazama started to greet Neo too. Although not in the best way, Neo managed to handle the man's harsh way with words in a kinder way, even thanking them for saving him so long ago. Haruki decided to be more accepting of Hazama's personality too.

"That time before was nothing Neo. Any other time and I'm sure we'd help you the same, because that's what friends are for. As for Central Park, it's great. Way bigger than I ever expected, but that makes it even more fun." Haruki was happy to see that his friend arrived alright after the long flight to their first destination.

"Oh please, saving one guy from dying, I will do, but any other reason, it's not my problem," he said to Haruki who was trying to make Neo feel reassured.

"Well I better get going, my hotel is a 15 minute walk from here. Better hope you all know your way around this city because it's easier to get lost, and I am definitely not coming to find you."

Hazama puts one headphone in his ear and resumes the song Classic "T-Mix" Remix by T-Pain.

He cuts in front of them to his path. As soon as he reaches the middle point between the two, he says, "May destruction be placed upon you, then may despair bring you all down to nothingness."

He continues walking into the darkness.

"Yeah Neo. I'm set for the Circuit after getting to see one of the great sights of New York today. Turns out my opponent is going to be Hazama. How about you?"

Aaaaand now he was outside again.

Haruka realized there was no way to deal with his inner sub-zero. The frost was crawling all over his bones. So he figured the best thing would be to go enjoy a little bit of sun. He got dressed up for nearly snow weather, in the blazing hot sun.

Instead of sitting on a bench, awaiting to be taken by hypothermia, he instead decided to go for a jog. That would work up a sweat and force him to heat up.

Hopefully.

The queen was kind of excited with her revelation and decided to finally go out for once. The heat wasn't killing her again, so she could finally enjoy the sights of New York. ... A couple of minutes and she wanted to be back in Japan. Times Square was so crowded it was borderline nauseating. Fast Food restaurants almost destroyed her sense of smell, American grease was overflowing. Maybe it was her groomed, gourmet appetite, but she just couldn't handle the kind of raw fat this nation could. Of course, she didn't openly state that. Still had to lie her way out of trying some of their famous McDonalds though.

The park was much more peaceful, save screaming children running about playfully. This place reminded her of home and the soothing park they had in town. Yugure kept a cheery attitude to at least try and get used to the time she'd be spending here. Seeing some of the kids playing Vanguard, she decided to watch them. Noting a very grumpy and upset one who complained about his third loss in a row, and a bit of a smug one who tried to help after bragging. The latter tried not to sound condescending about it, but surely a pitying tone was all the defeated heard.

This "Vanguard" solidified Yugure's revelation. Responses of victory thrice in a row and defeat in those three games were natural here.

Giving a deep breath, the woman watched other games in silence, surveying them while in thought.

Vanguard on its own was a strange phenomenon, something that was basically supernstural at this point, a gateway between two worlds. Hana knowing this is unable to thing of Vanguard as a mere game. In fact, can it even be fun? Whenever she fights, she can imagine an actual battle going on. Its fun with friends but when things get serious she has no choice but to adapt. The forces on Cray clash, the ones whom she has met and spoken to. The sense of joy and fun in Vanguard is what Hana needed, to find the reason to enjoy the game itself and go all out and stopnholding back on it like she has been. To become her old self. It wasn't the fact that Hana was attempting to find her kind of Vanguard, no she already has her way. The Vanguard of Cray, a kind of Vanguard that is about making all sides, and all forces on Earth and Cray happy. What she now needed was to find a way to combine this ideal with a way to enjoy thr game for herself.

She saw Yukino in the distance overlooking a game. Its been awhile so it wouldn't hurt to greet her and see how she's been. Maybe she could learn something here as well, that is of course, if Yukino has stopped useless and has startedbtaking actual action.

"Hey, Yukino."
Title: Re: (NYC) Field: Central Park
Post by: Cherry on September 04, 2015, 12:26:52 PM
"Oh, hey", Yukino smiled, greeting her sister. Taking note of not being called Yukinee still, it was better to bare with it instead of pester her about it. Hana looked down, so easing into small talk instead of jumping straight at her woes might be a safer approach. Leaning back, the queen gave the princess her full attention.

"How are you enjoying the sights? Or the food for that matter, considering it almost made me sick."

On the pathway through the park, Haruka found himself alongside two women and another guy making their rounds through the park. Except they were exceptionally more fit than himself, and Haruka was out almost out of breath before they even reached the bend at the south end of the park.

With his jog mostly over, Haruka starts to walk off the rest of his fatigue. He started to sweat for sure, but he didn't get particularly warmer. It felt more like a cold shower than anything.

Where he normally would be sitting, his bench is now occupied...

Oh that's Hana and Yukino. He had messaged Hana earlier yesterday and they talked about hanging out, maybe she was still up for it? Haruka was at a crossroads. Literally. Off to the right side was the bench, and on the left was a woods path. With the decision to approach the girls, like he originally intended, he heads in their direction.

"I've been enjoying myself really, its great. Mi-hime and went on a date in one of the higher end restaurants. It was certainly different, but not as good as home? How have you been?" she asked.

Hana tried to keep a good posture and try to hide her feelings. She was genuinely hapoy, everything else that did not involve Vanguard and her sister were in order. She was kicking off her idol career, she was having a great vacation, she was in love, and her dog is cool. Its just this one portion of her responsibilites having an impact on her, but sadly it is one of the biggest. She tried to stay strong, to show Yukino and be better than how she was. At the same time she thought about easing up to find the fun in Vanguard that she's been missing. She also noticed Harooka make his way towards them. She was prepared for them to make out, how long would it be this time? She decided that if it went on for longer than last time she would buy herself some ice cream.

"Hi Harooka." she greeted him.

I was already spotted? Hide!

...Was Haruka's first reaction. He didn't expect Hana to see him before he even got halfway to the bench. She wasn't even looking at him at first. Also he felt a bit bad about intruding. Normally whenever Hana and Yukino were talking, Haruka tried to stay out of it. Probably important Cray business or sisterly stuff or something.

"Hm, oh, Hi!" Haruka waves, catching up a little. The chill was catching up with him again. After fixing his scarf, he pockets his hands away.

"I'd be surprised if the slop here was better than home. Still, a date, eh?" Yugure gave a proud smirk. "I assume it's the same as my kind was."

The queen remained chipper, refraining from telling Hana that she isn't that good at hiding things from her sister. Still, until she earns "Yukinee" back with the princess, it wasn't her place to pry into it. She took a moment to contemplate an answer for Hana's second question. Saying "I feel great!" would probably rub salt in a bad wound, but lying would just grant another urge to get slapped. Thankfully, her knight in shining armor arrived before she had to say anything. Shooting him a smile, she welcomed him: "Hey cutie."

"Hey cutie.!"

First of all. Eewwwwwwwwwwwwww.
Second of all, Yukino completely avoided her question. She just assumed that she came down with a bad cold like the butlers told her when she asked why Yukino's flight was moved. Since she decided to not say anything. She must've louging around and slacking off. A cold would've at least made it understandable. Now that her boyfriend waz here, Hana reached for her phone and got her timer open. She was ready.

Haruka smiled at Yukino. He liked that.

Cutie.

"Hey sweetheart! And oh, Hana, err, I meant to ask you something."

He noticed also Hana had her phone out. Maybe she was texting Miyuki or something? No use worrying them over the icy feeling, but at the very least he should make mention of something new.

"How did the, uh, confession go? Was it as amazing as you thought it would be?" Haruka leaned on the bench side and planted a kiss on Yukino's cheek. He turned his attention to the two girls, zipping up his hoodie all the way. He seemed to be mostly okay for the time being, but he felt it was getting only chillier but the minute.

Gotta get more hand-warmers before I go home...

Yukino gave a soft, happy giggle to Haruka's pecking of her cheek. She would've felt his chills if the Soul Sublimation didn't have her body temperature bordering a fever. It was a miracle that she wasn't drenched in sweat. Hearing about the confession confirmed the queen's earlier question concerning the outing.

"So it was the same kind. Do tell, how did it go?"

Hana knew their date was a disaster though because Yukino was bad luck incarnate, but when it came down to confessing, sure. Mentally insane foreigners? Maybe?... Wait, she was the foreigner in this case. Food coming late was a no because Hana had everything ordered and set well ahead of time, plus talking to Mi-hime was fun. Of course, she should make it sound super extravegant and make them jealous, yes, this was the best way to go.

She stood tall yet again, even puffing her chest out a little and spoke with confidence, " It went great, Mi-hime and I were able to talk about a lot and the restaurant service was top notch. Nothing really got in our way and things were really really cool and then I confessed and-" she suddenly started blushing a litttle, she covered her cheeks to hide it. "T-then Mi-hime was surprised but she also said she l-loved me and she held my hand and stuf-... And-" her face grew redder as she kept on going, "and then I-I.. k-kissed her for a long long time notlikeyouguysdoitwastotallybetterineverywayandnotgrossatall, b-but yeah I." She started squealing and basically messed up being all confident and cool about it.

Haruka stood there unfazed for a moment. And then a small smile formed. Which then grew. And grew. He then had a huge simper across his face. Hearing Hana's story was at first a bit too deliberate it felt. Then the embarrassment showed on Hana's face and she was redder than Yukino was the first time she had been kissed too.

"Sounds nice, Hana. I'm glad you enjoyed yourself-" Haruka started to laugh a little, covering his mouth and turning around to avoid tipping Hana off how silly she looked right about now. Still turned around, holding in his current need to burst into laughter, he started talking again.

"I hope you and Miyuki are happy. And kissing isn't gross you know." Haruka checks his nails as a front to feign disinterest, but in reality he really was sort of curious at how everything went down and it was nice to hear Hana talk about her personal life sometimes. It made him feel more connected to everyone else. The smile remained for a bit.

Yukino covered her mouth, trying to hold back laughter from how Hana's bravado fell apart halfway through. And yet, the giggles still came through anyway. Ah, the big sister was happy, and how adorable was it seeing her favorite people fumble on their words. Looking over at Haruka, he was feeling the same as her. The duo were practically snickering like Akane and Marron would when gossiping.

"I'm very glad Miyuki answered your feelings", the queen began, expressing joy. She stood up and continued: "Our kissing isn't gross though!"

The tempting idea of making out with Haruka right now just to annoy the princess came to mind, which made the woman chuckle a bit more.

They were laughing at her and she easily took notice, but she was too preoccupied with her internal and external scresming to care for a good amount of time. Hana eventually got back into her senses and shook her head. Then she put her hands on her hips, looking in charge and tough. She let out a grin and walked up to Haruka.

"Heeey cutiee." She joked by saying this a flirtatious manner. Hana immediately turned back to Yukino and point at her with a neutral expression. "That is how you look. Grosssss."

She gave a nod back at them, it looks like they were having fun. Hana planned to set up their next date and purposely sabotage it this time. She giggled to herself with a grin and kept the plan noted.

"I'm glad she did, it made me feel very doki doki. Happy in a way..." She looked around the park, certainly it made the the back home look like a small sandbox. "So what are you guys up to here?"

"What, he's cute, so I'll address him as such!"

The queen sat back down, feeling better while seeing Hana's mood lighten.

"I'm here watching other people's Vanguard before heading off."

Haruka sort of blushed a bit at both the girls' remarks.

Cute, huh? I could get use to this....

I probably shouldn't though.

Yukino and Hana seemed to be enjoying themselves as such, but the face of mischief showed as Hana giggled after a small bit of thought. Haruka was afraid. He was oh so, very afraid. However the question she asked took him a bit off guard. Why was Haruka here? Because I'm a human popsicle and the only way for me to unfreeze is to sweat out my inner body water.

That was the answer he had planned. What came out-

"I was watching the sky."

Niceeeeeeee. Totally not weird.

He then nods, confirming his answer and standing straight up off the bench side. He didn't want to fall over onto Yukino. Not if it was an accident anyways.

"It was a bit chilly in the hotel anyways, thought some sun might help."

He fell asleep again, out of a sudden he simply dropped onto the bench as if he was dead. As if to add to this disaster of dropping a conversation so suddenly, he got up from the bench while still asleep, yes, he started sleep walking, away from the bench. Right next to a tree which he bumped into pretty hard and fell on the ground motionless.

After the night and almost half the day Shiki woke up in the middle of the park, next to a tree with a bruise on his forehead, he wasn't really sure what happened, the last thing he remembers is the guy from before reaching his hand for a handshake, a handshake that never really happened. "He was a cool guy, I guess?" he whispered to himself, he didn't use violence, he wasn't crazy, didn't seem like a Vanguard addict, or some rich asshole.

Shiki got up from the ground, dusting his school uniform from dust and leaves. He looked around trying to think where he is. Ofcourse, he had no idea. So there was only one choice, wander around. And that's what he did.. he.. started walking around the tree, in an expanding circle, hoping to get somewhere eventually, or to bump into someone.

+1 Affinity with Haruka (from before)

After his nightmare, Hikaru needed some fresh air and decided to go to the park to relax his nerves. He didn't get the opportunity to go sight seeing due to immediately vomiting when he had gotten into his hotel room. Pulling his jacket closer to his chest he began to look around the park looking to see if any of the other competitors were around even if it was unlikely to bump into them.

Several hours passed from Alexanders last outing, a day to be exact. Having gone back to the Hotel to rest up, and finally having enough of the stuffy feeling inside. Being inside alone also showed him how lonely it really was to be far away from home all by ones self, though of course it wasn't a feeling he was totally alien to either. His time at home spent all by his lonesome.

Ignoring his feelings, he hastily got dressed and headed out, reaching the park hoping for some fresh air. Eyeing his surroundings in the bright sunny day, a few clouds painting the sky as the sun shone through. Luckily it wasn't too hot out, but rather a nice toasty atmosphere only perfect for an outing to a park, the kind of day you'd see your typical well adjusted upper class family going to a picnic on.

Of course, he wasn't here for a picnic! No, no. He was here to contemplate his next steps for the day, New York having proved far too much of a challenge to navigate on his own, taking twice the amount of time as a normal person to get anywhere.

Walking over to a park bench somewhere, he pulled out his deck case. Sliding his cards into his hand as he began to look them over, seemingly contemplating over them some more. Tsubasas' words stuck to him, the words of his avatar evolving causing a stir within him. He eyed Azure dragon blankly, turning away for a moment as he chuckled lightly. "Evolving huh, seems silly." Waving the idea away in a silly manner, or at least trying to. To most he would look like a simple teenager, eyeing his vanguard cards thoughtfully. Maybe someone would challenge him?

After spending a few minutes walking around the park he saw someone sitting on a park bench looking through a deck of cards. Vanguard cards to be exact. He then walked towards him, itching for a fight.

"Yes...more power." The voice from before echoed in Hikaru's mind as he continues to walk over to the teen. Doing his best to ignore the voice.

"Hey you, wanna cardfight.."He said to the teen.

He was lost in his thoughts for a moment before giving an exasperate sigh. Placing his deck back in it's case as he leaned backwards on the bench, looking up at the sky in a daze of sorts watching time pass by. That was of course until he heard Hikarus' voice. Speedily bringing himself upright he eyed the dark clothed, raven haired young man. He blinked for a few moments before registering his words, nodding to them in a rather chipper manner. After all, what could be better than a cardfight?

Hopping onto his feet he surveyed the area, trying to locate some fight tables. "A cardfight sounds good... Just where the heck can we d" His words cutting off as he finally spotted the parks cardfight area, pointing to it as he took off. His hand waving to the other young man. "Come on, it's over there. I'm Alexander by the way, nice to meet you." Speaking in a cheery tone on his way there.

Regardless if Hikaru followed him or not he would have taken a seat and pulled out his deck, setting up for the fight ahead. Placing his starting vanguard as he shuffled, awaiting his opponent. Hoping they wouldn't waste too much time flopping around.

And soon the two Nova Grappler cardfighters clashed, the robotic warriors going head to head in the must see match. The up and coming beast deities against the big money death army. Though, Alexander and man made beast would be the ones to falter, a look of disappointment brooding in his eyes as the sixth damage flew by. The splendid limit break execution of his opponent having ended the match for good, his inability to ride to grade three for a solid two turns coupled with his opponents onslaught of triggers soon rendered him unable to fight back anymore.

Trying to perk up, he threw a smile on his face. Extending his hand to Hikaru in order to shake it, as a sign of respect. "Hey, you're pretty good. Wish I could have had a few more chances to strike but you sure didn't let up even for a second, hah." The lad trying to make small talk about his opponents skill, possibly as a way to downplay his loss. It couldn't have been his fault right? His opponent was just too strong... Right? Was that the right way to think, just giving up and accepting things like that? These thoughts filling his mind the more his thoughts lingered on the fight.

Alexander nodded, contemplating for a bit before speaking. "You could work on your grade two line up to be honest, hani wasn't doing much. I'd just keep the grade one ones but the grade two ones could be switched for king of sword or something. I thought there were more death army units though, hmm, weird."

Pausing for a moment once more, placing a hand on his chin as he rubbed it lightly. He got irritated for a second, the other teenagers words registering. He just lost to a newbie to a clan he thought he was pretty darn good with! With a small sigh he would speak once more, his tone still cheery but an eerie feeling came off of them.... Annoyance?

"Well, it was nice fighting you either way... But I'm about to go back to my Hotel room to rest up and possibly catch a few more of the circuit matches. Did you also come here to see the circuit? I've been finding it pretty interesting. The fighters are all awesome, makes me wish I was up there as well." The last words followed by a light hearted chuckle, though he was envious about anyone that got the chance to fight on that stage.
Title: Re: (NYC) Field: Central Park
Post by: Spectre Diamond on September 05, 2015, 11:22:15 AM
"Oh the circuit. I'm not here to watch the circuit, I was a participant for this stage." He turned to look at the other way for a bit before turning back to the other teen.

"Due to my overconfidence and my inexperience to the nova grappler clan, I played like a dimension police user and desperately tried to get enough Death Army units on the field. In the end I lost. So that's probably why I use both the damage inducers because I was inspired by my opponent." he gave a small chuckle from that thought.

"Huh." He let out, having noticed that this was the second time he met a participant in the circuit. Though, if anything, he definitely knew that Tsubasa was the better fighter.

Either way, having had enough of the park Alexander came to the conclusion that he might as well do what he said he would and leave. Turning to do so as he gave a few simple words of farewell. "Well, goodbye. Maybe we'll meet again someday" Before heading off in the direction of the hotel.

After storming off from the situation brewing between Haruki, Hazama and Tsubasa, Seifer made his way to Central Park, walking along the path with a disgusted look on his face. He wasn't sure what came over him, he just got so angry that he lost control. Sighing, he stopped in front of a body of water and stared out over it, trying to calm down.

Hazama walks to the one bridge where it all started. He takes out his deck. And puts it on the railing. He pulls out the one card he received a long time ago. Starlight Melody Tamer, Farah. This is where it all started, wasn't it Farah. I told you I would lay you to rest under the stars. And here we are. A tear sheds from his face. I wish... it was still here. Another tear drops to the left side of the card. He turns around and starts to walk away. "Goodbye...," he says sadly. Leaving his deck and Farah behind. He walks into the silent and still darkness.

Seifer clearly did not hear Tsubasa when he called for him in the streets, so he caught up to him at the park, since he still has to discuss with him the problem at hand. Also it was clear that Seifer was more than annoyed, so he needed to be calmed down.

Tsubasa arrives at the park and goes towards Seifer, as he sees him staring at the body of water in the park.

"You doing okay?" he asked, as he approached him.

When addressed by Tsubasa, Seifer shut his eyes sighing and shaking his head. "No I'm not... Just... He really ticked me off. I don't know why, but I just... Lost it." Seifer sighed once more before turning toward Tsubasa, eyes glazed over a little bit, and a tad dull. "It wasn't fair of me to react that way, but I did anyway... I feel like I'm drifting, but I'm still trying." at the appearance of Neo though, his demeanor didn't change much at all, though he did wave kindly to his other friend.

Tsubasa could see how much in confusion his friend was, and he understood the feelings he was carrying at that moment. Tsubasa also was annoyed at the way Hazama gives up easily, even when his parents needed him. Also his confusion regarding his clan and his strange emptiness.

"..He was acting childish, when I heard him mention his father needing his help I thought that he had become too lost, what you said was not something you should be upset about, he had to realize his mistakes." he said, with a serious voice.

He turns to Neo and says, "Hey man, listen join us i'm going to discuss an important matter with Seifer, get this, he's been having trouble feeling connected to his clan, he feels like something is missing...see where i'm going with this."

He turns to Haruki and says,"We need to talk after this."

He turns to Seifer, "You should know about the sealed clans as well.." he said.
Title: Re: (NYC) Field: Central Park

"He does have a right to know" Neo said to Tsubasa.

Neo knew this feeling, because he felt it himself. But Seifer, or anyone for that matter has a right to know about the sealed clans. So Neo was ready to explain everything to Seifer.

"Sounds like we're getting somewhere now." Haruki was happy to see that Seifer might get some closure on the topic of his clan. If he really did use a missing clan before they became a legend, it would be useful information for the guy to know there was a reason he was feeling this way. He turned to Tsubasa after hearing what he had to say.

"Alright, I'll talk with you after. Let's get down to this missing clan business and help out Seifer now." With a determined look in his eyes, the young man of justice would help his friend in distress.

Seifer glanced between the three with half shut, yet curious looking eyes. Sealed clans? "Why sealed? Who sealed them?" he asked. There was a burning feeling now in his chest; a mix of anger and sadness. He possibly used one of the clans lost? "If there were sealed clans... What about the people who used to use them?... The pain I feel... I'm sure more than just myself has felt them... The bonds... memories taken away?..." he both stated and asked, almost paradoxical in that sense but he was even more confused now.
Title: Re: (NYC) Field: Central Park
Post by: OverDrive on September 05, 2015, 11:35:43 PM
Now that Seifer is on the same page as everyone, Tsubasa decided to explain the situation.

"..You see a few months back...Neo and me used different clans than what we are using right now...someone chose to seal those clans a few months ago after a struggle happened around that time." he said.

"The reason Neo and me understand what you're going through...is that we lost these clans from that struggle and now we're fighting with these ones...my guess is...the reason you feel so empty is that...you most likely went through the same thing." he said, while taking out his deck.
Title: Re: (NYC) Field: Central Park
Post by: NeoBuster on September 06, 2015, 12:01:50 AM
Neo decided to speak first on the subject:

"Alright Seifer, here is the full story about the sealed clans" Neo said then continued

The clans that were sealed away were Royal Paladin, Shadow Paladin, Kagero and Bermuda Triangle. They were sealed away by a person named Neu. Neu sealed them because she wanted everything to be at peace. She wanted all fighters to be happy. Little did she know she did the exact oppostite. It made everyone sad, angry and frustrated. I used to use the Kagero clan, but it got replaced with Narukami. People who used Royal and Shadow Paladin had them replaced with Gold Paladin. And Bermuda Triangle users also lost there clan. In the end alot of people didnt understand why Neu did such a thing. I know the most because at some point i joined forces with her, back when i wasnt thinking. But after cardfighting Jellal, I realized what I was fighting for was wrong and I put myself on the path I needed to be on." Neo said

Neo then took out his deck

"With this new deck of mine, I will find my parents and I will restore peace to the world of Vanguard!" Neo said while his deck glowed yellow.

"Bringing about peace is the way to get those clans back." Haruki remembered from his time with Neu and Hikaru back at the restaurant at home that they talked about how the fate of those clans could be decided. "There's conflict after conflict right now when it comes to Vanguard. You guys were part of it too with that argument back at the diner." He looked to Seifer and Tsubasa as he said this, then back to the whole group.

"One of the best ways I've found to maintain peace in Vanguard is by sharing the fun of the game with others. It makes everyone happy, and it could help my friends that have lost their clans as well."
Title: Re: (NYC) Field: Central Park
Post by: Cipher Izanagi on September 06, 2015, 12:21:09 AM
"...Here's the problem I have... They're sealed away to bring about peace... That's what I'm understanding from this and yet..." Seifer clutched the front of his shirt and jacket over his heart staring at the ground. "How can there be peace when so many people have lost something they loved? ...Their Vanguard. People are forced to change. I understand growing to like something new, something different... But I just... Don't understand. I don't get why it was necessary. Conflict is always going to happen. No matter what... The best that we could ever aspire to is just trying to accept and understand it'll be there. ...By that logic... there's no way to get back what was taken from me is there?" he asked looking at his three friends he'd made. His expression was pained. It was hard to grasp for him, the concept of it. He'd lost something precious to him, and yet he wasn't even allowed to have the memories of it?
Title: Re: (NYC) Field: Central Park
Post by: Kuro on September 06, 2015, 12:29:21 AM
"Thing is, those clans were sealed because they were the center of a huge conflict in Vanguard. They became legendary because our friend Neu wanted to keep it fun. Doesn't have to be utopian, but so long as it can be good enough that things stay cool when they're unsealed, it could happen." Haruki put his hand on Seifer's shoulder to try and calm him down. It looked like the pressure of it all was getting to him.

"Alright Seifer?"

Tsubasa's attention was immediately drawn towards Neo's glowing deck, it reminded him of what his deck went through before evolving into what it is now.

"..I wonder..." he thought, as he began to change the trajectory of his gaze.

Tsubasa looked at Haruki with a serious look in his eyes,"Please don't mix what happened between Hazama and the three of us with the conflict of the clans....we'll save this chat for later" he said, as he changed his look towards Seifer.

"I understand how you feel, my royal paladins were taken from me, and for a long while I thought that Gold Paladin was my original clan....I also felt empty..." he said.

"I was opposed to the idea of sealing the clans when I first heard about it, I had my reasons for joining Neu's side when she offered, I soon understood why she did what she did and for that I reserved my judgement on what I wanted to do about it, nevertheless....I will most likely always be opposed to her method of achieving her goal." he said. "If the clans needed to evolve then they should have done so together with their vanguards, there has to be another way to fix the situation without planting emptiness into the hearts of fighters, running away from the problem or burying it aside won't solve the problem at hand."

"..I understand that it's hard...there must be a way to retrieve the clans....but...until we find that answer, we just have to do the best we can." he said

Neu sat on along a large tree branch on one of the nearby trees, watching. She was eating an apple, wearing a white dress unlike her usual black attire. Her hair and eyes were still the same eerie colors.

At the attention of his three friends, it brought a slight smile to his face. That and the fact they were indeed supportive of him and understood how he felt and yet... Out of the corner of his eye he caught a rather odd looking girl. Turning his head to the new person's direction, his eyes not quite a glare, not quite anything really. More a curious stare, especially the eyes... "...So, I'm not the only one that sees her right." he commented, hoping his stress wasn't driving him insane.

As Seifer pointed out the person in the tree, Haruki noticed it was none other than their friend Neu. He wasn't really surprised to see her there, as Neu was known to pop up in unusual places. He turned to Seifer to tell him who she was.

"Well Seifer, that's Neu. Same person that sealed the clans in the first place." Haruki gave a friendly wave to Neu as he looked up at her. It looked like she resting on a branch. "She looks tired, but it is late after all."

As the person called Neu made her way toward the group, Seifer stared for a moment, his right fist clenching slightly. Hesitating for a moment, the male relaxed slightly sighing out. For some reason right now he couldn't stay mad but... "Fight me Neu. I want to see something for myself." his demeanor changed rather quickly from it was before. Hikaru walked aimlessly around the park, having not returned to the hotel since his last fight and continued to walk aimlessly at the park. He just didn't want to go to bed because of those vivid dreams he keeps having. While walking he saw a group of people and recognized one of them, Neu.

"Neu? Whats she doing here?" Not wanting to be recognized, He then quietly stood behind a tree and began to eavesdrop on their conversation.

She took out two decks from her bag and handed one to him. "Use this one I guess, just a feeling from the way you're kind of acting uh... sure, lets put it that way." Then, she sighed deeply and looked towards a tree. "Man, stop pulling that rude eavesdropping thing, it really doesn't get you anywhere Hikaru...and really you may as well just join the conversation." She did a facepalm and shook her head.

"Over to the fight table then..." She gestured to the nearest one in the park and began walking towards it.

"Yo Neu," Haruki smiled to her as she came towards the group, apple in hand. Seifer just as quickly challenged her to a fight. The young man of justice could tell that this was what his friend needed to get closure with his clan. He took a step back from Seifer, removing his hand from his shoulder, and looked to Hikaru observing the group from afar.

During the entire fight, Seifer seemed confident in everything he did, every little move, attack and guard. It was obvious he'd played the deck before by his mannerisms with the deck, and as he presented Neu's damage zone with six a soft smile  came over his face. He felt... relieved. Clutching the deck he'd just used for a moment, he sighed a little before extending it back out to Neu. It was just a loan after all. "Thank you for doing this. And I'm sorry for bothering you. I just needed to know something. And I learned what I needed from the fight. So... Again, thank you, and I had fun in the fight.." it was genuine, and while he obviously didn't want to give up the deck, he knew better than to try and run off with it. Well, that and he was to good of a person at heart.

"Past midnight, huh. I guess it's time for me to head back and get some rest. Nice talking with all of you, and good luck in your upcoming semi-finals match Tsubasa." The young man of justice gave a friendly wave goodbye to everyone and began to walk to the hotel to sleep.

Tsubasa was surprised if not astonished by the cardfight he saw, to be able to control the kagero clan with such ease and even defeat Neu. Tsubasa was definitely impressed by the level of cardfighting that Seifer displayed, also to the fact that he found some closure from this whole situation.

"....He really did command that clan before..." he thought.

Before Tsubasa can talk to Neu the girl leaves immediately after the fight.

"...Why would she give him her deck tho...?" he thought.

"Well guys, that was a fun cardfight, hopefully we all accomplished what we wanted for today.." he said, still wondering about what seifer told him at the diner.

As Haruki begins to leave Tsubasa immediately says to him,"We need to talk tomorrow! but good luck in your match!"

As Tsubasa begins to leave he waves to his friends and hopes that they all accomplish their seperate goals after the events of today,"Good luck you guys." he says.

"...Hopefully you will come back Hazama." he says, as he continues on his way back to the hotel.

At the end of it all when everyone else had left, saying their good-byes, Seifer stood there for a few moments looking out at the lights reflecting in the water nearby. He stood quietly for a few moments before laughing and shaking his head. The fight had been fun, and he had indeed found some closure. It may not be soon, but he knew somewhere he'd see his clan again. To that end he felt calm again. Turning on his heel, he decided to head back to the hotel to get some sleep.

Haruki was bored. He climbed a tree and lied on a tall branch. He thought.

He pulled some snacks out of his bag and ate them. He drank some of a water bottle.

He looked up at the sky. The stars probably wouldn't be shining tonight. New York was weird.

The sky was blue, but not really a sky blue. It was getting late and the color was changing. He still lied in the tree.

The blue continued to fade away. He grew bored of the place he was in. He didn't leave. Not many other places to go to anyway.

He dug into his bag and found a toy car. It took up unnecessary space for him, so he tossed it. It bounced off a lamppost and into a trash can.

He saw a bird fly into the tree. Many others had already, but this bird was closer to him. He reached out his hand to meet with the bird and it flew away.

Yukino got to take a few hours of fresh air while calming herself from magic craft until Neu appeared and unleashed hell on everyone's psyches. It came back to her too; the memories that wouldn't properly register in mind. They were late, considering she could fill in the gaps herself with what she has learned. They watched the masses flip out - she and Ezel on the bench. The lion compared their reactions akin to those lost in the nations as the heroes vanished. Seeing the culprit unveil herself in such a way meant that the end of the nightmare was nigh. The War of Liberation had declared clans as winners - the Champions were to gather.

The lion's arms were folded, Yukino's fingers were intertwined. They watched the chaos in calm silence, figuring out what to do next. One representative for each clan would be allowed. That meant they had to meet with someone... someone who was in a similar boat to herself.

One person who had Blaster Blade back in the past and tried to help her.

This was unpleasant to wait for.

Haruki saw someone below as the bird flew away. He saw Yukino on a bench nearby, the person he knew from back home as well as the person that would have been his semi-finals opponent. He jumped from the high branch of the tree to land by her. Maybe she could be cool.

"Hey Yukino. How's it been?" He brushed off his coat after landing.

Walking aimlessly throughout the peaceful scenery known as Central Park, Jellal Kisaragi was captivated by the serene vibe of his environment.

"Hmm.. y'know, I wouldn't mind living here." he said to himself as he continued to leisurely walk through the park as the wind blew past his hair. He remembered hearing about a vanguard event being held in these parts, and wanted to check out the competition, as well as bettering himself overall as a fighter. However, upon arriving, Jellal went on a tourist spree, checking out what this place had to offer. Today happened to the first day that he managed to break free and just do some idle sight-seeing. He stopped under a shady tree, leaning on it while pulling out his cellphone and went down through his newsfeeds. After a brief moment of scrolling, he looked up into the trees releasing a sigh from his gentle lips. Lowering his head, something...or rather someone caught his eye. A girl on a bench, who's back was facing him. She had white hair and she had seemed to be looking down at something.

"White hair...? No way..." he said to himself confidently. But out of curiosity, he approached the bench.

Yukino and Ezel noted the two people approaching them, seeing one was Haruki and one was Jellal. It had been awhile since seeing Jellal.

"Hey you two", the woman greeted, leaning back on the bench.

He returned the polite notion with a handshake. Then he went on to ask a question that was probably on their minds as well.

"So, how about that missing clan business? You guys planning on bringing them back too?" A curious question from a curious guy. It was high time for something interesting to happen.

"How are things? I think you can see from everyone's reactions", Yukino responded, looking at the questioning masses.

"Yeah, the clans are coming back soon", she spoke with absolution. Her avatars would return to their solid states, Haruka would get his Overlord back, and the clans would unite. Even with Royal and Shadow back, Ezel assured himself that Gold Paladin's place is forever etched into history. Like Narukami, it'll stay there.

"Oh right." he looked up at both of them while remembering his mission: to free the trapped clans.

"I haven't forgotten, I've just been... unsure how to go about it. However, I'm sure with my Aqua Force by my side, we can free those clans." he said with eyes filled with confidence.
Title: Re: (NYC) Field: Central Park
Post by: Cherry on September 06, 2015, 11:48:43 PM
"Jellal..." Yukino started with a very sad tone. Standing up, she made eye contact with the blond. "I'm glad you got Aqua Force back, a sort of reverse situation of what we have... I promised you that I'd help you get it back... but I didn't do anything."

The queen looked down, her lips curling into a wry smile, hands balling up into fists. "All that talk from my end... and I couldn't even keep my end of the bargain after breaking Phantom Blaster's hold on you... I'm sorry."

This had been on her mind for awhile. Believing that: without the promise, Jellal would've sacrificed the clans to the rift himself. Yukino swore to assist him in his destiny of reviving Aqua Force so he wouldn't have to continue atoning with a deck that was morally heinous. The sacrifice of the self and allies weren't fair costs, that's what she thought. Now, however, she had no way to make it up to him. No way to make up for chewing his ear out only to not be able to fulfill the oath. Before all of this ended, she at least had to apologize.

"Gold Paladin and Aqua Force eh? Sounds like you two are set to be the champion fighters." He was surprised to hear that Jellal here used one of the chosen clans, but that made him more of an interesting fighter.

"My clan wasn't one of the chosen five, so I'm stuck sitting back and watching how it plays out." He casually sat on the bench.

"You don't need to apologize, Yukino. You actually did help: you helped free me from my own guilt, my own despair." His hand slipped into his pocket grabbing his deck case and holding it up before Yukino and Haruki. "You helped me free Aqua Force by showing me another path.  So you did keep your promise, and for that I'm grateful towards you and everyone else."

"Now I have to return the favor and help you guys free the sealed clans and return them to both our world and to their world on Planet Cray."

"All's well that ends well then. We've had a mini-reunion and made up with the past." He got up from his seat and lifted his bag onto his shoulder.

"Good luck to you both in your clan unsealing endeavors. I'll find a way to help on my own then. It's getting late, so see ya later Yukino and Jellal. Save the world." He walked off out of the peaceful park with a friendly wave goodbye and to his hotel room once again, as was routine. Perhaps he'd conjure up some elaborate plan while there.

"... Jellal, I-" Yukino held back on her words, unsure of what to say. She moved Jellal, and him saying that moved her. Their promises was kept by him fulfilling his destiny without the tribute of his morals... She was happy to know her words and feelings still reached and did something, if nothing else. "... Thank you", she said. Even though it was him who was thanking her and the others. The woman was simply thankful to God.

He would now return the favor. Those Marine Emperors of "Justice" would now come with the blazing lion and most likely the incarnation of thunder to return the lost heroes.

"What I think of Vanguard?" he looked at his deck before turning his back on Yukino.

"Well, as you know. When I first started: I thought of it as nothing more than a card game, rejecting everyone who claimed they could communicate with the cards and units on Cray. I thought it was ridiculous. But getting closer to my original units: the Shadow Paladins, I learned to overcome my own past and my own weaknesses. Because of that..." he turned around slowly to face both Haruki and Yukino, looking at both of them as they soaked in his words.

"...I was able to meet great friends, powerful rivals, and above all: a connection to my units. Both my former clan and my true clan: The Aqua Force." he opened up his deck case revealing the cover card: Blue Storm Dragon Maelstrom, holding it in the palm of his hand as he slowly smiled.

"Vanguard is... a precious experience for me. One that I wish to share to the world and to protect at all costs."

The birds chirping gave off a beautiful, musical preformance. There was a slight breeze. Enough force to feel good and not enough to knock you over. The sun was out, casting bright, yellow rays over New York City. There were a few scattered clouds spread out aflot among the soft, blue sky. Hazama was there lying on the bench admiring the graceful day Earth has bestowd upon him.

"So it seems as if the Vanguard players are still shocked about the news," Hazama said to himself. "Though a lot of strange things have been happening. Word around is their was a cardfight last night in the hotel. Some of the people I overheard from this morning said they were in fear. Is this all related to Neu. I need to find her. Maybe this fear I heard about could be my wish. About having what I desire."

Hazama pulled out his phone, but there was a bulge from the outside of his case. He flipped his phone around and found a card attached to it. He peeled away from the tape to reveal what card has been placed on his phone.

"Galactic Beast, Zeal!" Hazama said quite shocked. "Where did this come from?" When flipping the card over, a small piece of paper fell onto his lap.

It read Dear Hazama, I know you have been contemplating about quitting Vanguard. But I know deep down inside, you want to continue, you just need the right clan to suit you. I know Dimension Police isn't the thing you are looking for, but since you laid Farah to rest and your Dark Itrregulars are outdated and back at home, I thought I would give you this until you find what you are looking for. Best of luck, XY.

Hazama just stared at the card, "Well where is the rest of the deck." All he had to do was open his bag, and there it was, the remaining 49 cards that now belonged to him.

He walked through the park, as he often did here. He saw Hazama and Shin'en. He walked over to see what they were doing. He saw them with cards, Shin'en describing one as Zeal of Dimension Police. Not a bad collection if his clan was there.

Hazama hears the same voice he did last night on the Brooklyn Bridge. It happened to be the one out of the two at the bridge who he thought was somewhat decent. It belonged to Shin'en. He was asking where he got Zeal from.

"Truth is, I have no idea. I just pulled out my phone and there Zeal was. There was also a complete deck in my backpack with the rest of the cards making a Zeal deck. Then there was a note attached to it saying it was from s guy named XY, whoever that is. And he also said it should be used as a temporary place holder until I find what I desire."

Haruka finally managed to get out of the hotel without paparazzi clogging the halls and doorways for too long. It was a hassle getting through without being pushed over and being flipped behind bouncer shoulders, but he managed an escape to the nearby bus stop that lead to the park across the city. Nothing would stop him from getting at least a little fresh air after that awkward dream earlier during the night. He'd been up for eight hours already and it was just afternoon for him. Things were not looking super great for his well-being, but he felt fine so that was at least one shining point of the day.

Now, to move on to the harsher business of the afternoon. A promise he still had to keep... He dialed up Yukino's cell.

Let's hope she isn't busy...

Ring... Ring... Ring...

Haruka sat down on one of the park benches, his favorite park bench, munching on potato chips from a vending machine. He stared at the sky in somewhat of anticipation. He hadn't actually heard Yukino's voice in four or so days, since they never spoke the day everything was unsealed, and its been almost three days since then.

Shin’en gathers his cards, while the stranger sat down. There was a brief silence at the table, and without thinking, Shin’en said," Do you play Vanguard?" He regretted it after he said it but was still looking for an answer.

"Well, want to play?" Shin'en said nervously, thinking he was going to say no.

"I guess, I need to test the rest of this new deck." As he placed the starting vanguard.

The last damage hit Hikaru's zone as the dark dragon of the sanctuary had slain the green morning star from existence as it evaporating into dark blue motes as the rest of them disappeared into blue motes as well. He couldn't guard the power that the vanguard had. Being at 4 damage he had no choice but to take the damage and hope to survive the attack. This hope was crushed by a critical trigger. The heal never came for him as he layed defeated.

Stand Up My, VANGUARD!!!!!!!!!!!!

This was one of Shin'en's hardest card fight, he had never seen cards that could restand all because of a grade 3 drive check. And then when his opponent Broke Ride, he knew something was up. Last time his opponent broke ride his entire vanguard stood again, but this time all of his rear-guards did. Luckily my opponent didn't check any critical triggers, or I would’ve lost. Shin'en used his Vanguard's LIMITBREAK!! With the help of a critical trigger to win the card fight.
Shin’en said, “Nice fight!! I have never seen anyone restand rear-guards like that before…. Mind if I ask you a question?”

"Do you ever....Dream about your cards, ya know like what they are doing on the Planet Cray" Shin'en said as he picked up 'Blaster Dark Revenger'.

"No I don't dream about my cards or whatever their doing." Since he barely knew the man he did not want to reveal his communication with cosmo lord or the stranger dreams he's been having.

With Time's Square cleared, and all the ring leaders there taken down, most of which being former national champions, The Messiah and The Lion head to Central Park.

"I guess we're doing some hefty training in our motherland huh?" Neu laughed, now followed by the numerous fighters which she freed from the spell. "I do wonder how Tsubasa and the others are doing, though I do suppose you're wondering how the King and the others are as well. No matter, after we're done here, we'll join back with 'em!"

The park was just as infested as Time's Square. Neu Edelweiss hasn't slept in days. "Alright everyone, charge!" She ran in as well, taking numerous fighters to herself, cutting through the darkness with Ezel's fangs are roaring through despair with a glimmer of hope, her way of Vanguard. This wasn't her Link Joker. Her real clan was the one that fought for the sake of everyone else and had a power that was achieved through the evolution and transcendence of self. The true form of The Messiah symbolized the balance of the two worlds, Neu's desire and ultimate goals.

"I put my faith in mankind that Vanguard would evolve, with their own hands, they would help it grow. This corrupt Link Joker has no place in this!" She announced, causing even the emotionless reversed fighters to fall back in apprehension. "...such use of Vanguard."

The Messiah didn't know it, nor did she expect it, but The Lion appeared by her side, saying her exact words for a moment as they prepared their arms once more to fight together.

"The heavens may forgive such blasphemy, but I won't!"

As she charged in, a few fighters that she encountered used Link Joker, locking away her units, the nostalgia causing her to smile. She turned to The Lion as well, having a few witty remarks for him too. "Damn Lion, your skills suck against lock! Grab a pair of scissors, let me show you what I learned from Amnesty." The Lion which fought on the field roared and roared as he fought on. With his comrades locked away and enveloped in darkness, he stood tall along with Neu. In a blink of an eye, the darkness disappeared.

"Salvation Roar!"

Khudus was in the park. He had been busy trying to find a place to stay as well as school and a new job which left him very little time. He had not seen anyone for past few weeks since before the camping trip. He was fed up with his life at the moment. He decided to spend the day resting. He couldn't at the hotel. There was a bad vibe going around the place. Even here at the park he could feel it but it wasn't as strong. He rested by a tree and was taking a nap.

As he slept he felt a ton of dark energy around the area. Suddenly within all the darkness a figure appeared. He couldn't make out much from it. He then heard the figure speak. Fighter. Your strength is great. The darkness will grow. Fight with all you have. Seek us out once all the darkness is gone. We will fight with you.

Khudus suddenly jolted up. He was confused by it all. He didn't recognise it at all but just shrugged it off.
