Title: RIP Monty Oum
Post by: Jai Hearts on February 02, 2015, 06:06:06 PM
Matt of Rooster Teeth wrote on Monday that RWBY creator and director Monty Oum passed away on Sunday. He was 33.

Rooster Teeth announced earlier this week that Oum had been hospitalized. Matt confirmed that Oum fell into a coma ten days ago after suffering an allergic reaction to a medical procedure.

Oum and Rooster Teeth's original animated web series RWBY is streaming on Crunchyroll and Rooster Teeth's website. He also worked on seasons eight through ten of the web series Red Vs. Blue and Namco Bandai Games' Afro Samurai game.

Thank you for your creative visions and your dedication to bringing them to life, Monty.

Rest in peace. You will be missed.

Moved to community.

It's a goddamn shame we keep losing people with such talent and prosperous futures. From his age, he was still in his prime. He was brilliant, and I'm sure everyone at RT and his family are proud as they are sad of losing him.

His legacy can continue on through RWBY, but more than that, RIP the man behind the outstanding quality behind RT's recent work.
