Bio and Backstory: Hazama von Einsburn is a 17 year old male who lives with his mother Illyasviel and his 14 year old sister Iri in the Einsburn Castle. He is very intelligent when it comes to the sort of strategy games like Cardfight Vanguard.

About 25 years ago, his mother served in the Fifth Holy Grail war. A Holy Grail war is a war between magi who summon servants to try and achieve the wish of the Holy Grail. They obtain the Grail by being the last servant standing among the other six. It so happens that Illyasviel was chosen to fight in the Grail War and to fight along side Hercules, the Berserker. The servant she had summoned was arguably the most powerful servant in the war. In the end, they failed to win the game, but still caused a lot of deaths during the time period.

When the event was finished and Hazama was born, his mother took him into isolation in the castle until he was 16. As for his dad, all he knows was that he died 4 months before Hazama was born.

When Hazama picked up the game of Vanguard, he made it his goal to rid the negativity of the Einsburn name. He fought along with the Dark Irregulars and his avatar, Stil Vampir. He fought many battles, but could never get his point clearly across to anyone. Then it hit him. One night he felt something calling out for him. He didn't know what is was or what it meant, but he decided to follow this urge. It lead him deep into the woods, starting from the north side of the Einsburn Castle. He finally came across a leveled clearing in the shape of a perfect circle. In that circle was a print with a sword like sign in the middle of it. "Was this... no it cant be," Hazama said to himself. But it was. This was the place where his mother had summoned Berserker years ago. Then a flash came across his vision. Then there he stood in his magnificent glory, but he was only a spirit and not fully materialized. "Berserker," he said slowly.

"Yes, it is me, Hercules, the Berserker," the spirit replied to him. "This is not your imagination, this is real. I have come here to convey a message to you, son of my master. I am here to tell you, that I have been watching over you and your efforts to rid the negativity from your family. Let me just get this straight. No one will ever fully understand your goal, or will abide by your goals. With this knowledge, I want you to embrace your power as the Einsburn heir, and bring destruction in your newfound and popular game."

Hercules then starts to hand me a deck. "You have a Cardfight Vanguard deck!" I say in excitement and in a bit of confusion.

"Yes, and I want you to have it. The clan is called Pale Moon. Don't be fooled just because they are from the circus, they have great power and potential. Just like your Dark Irregulars, they utilize the soul to bring out units as they so please."

"It would be a great honor, Hercules."

"I will be watching over you," he says as his spirit starts to fade away.

"Thank You."

Now it is Hazama's goal to make sure he will avenge Hercules, and bring destruction to the battlefield.



Just the other day, Hazama found one of the only leads to his father. He was scoping out the castle when no one was home. He was in his mothers room when he found his lead. He was searching under his mother's bed. Nothing was there except for a Thunder Break Dragon taped to the underside of the mattress. He took it off from its tape, then a note fell down. "Dear Illyasviel, take good care of our kids. I'm afraid I will never be back, maybe even leave the earth is a possibility. Before I run out of room, I want to say I love you all so much, and never let our soon to be child, play Vanguard."

After Hazama read this note, he fell further than he ever did before. Tears start falling on the floor, "Why dad... why did you leave me. I wish this never happened even if I never got to see your face." A few minutes passed for Hazama to bring himself together. "I'm sorry dad, I know you don't want me to play, but I will, for your sake. I will do everything in my power to destroy anyone who opposes me. From now, I will release all my feelings for other people and wish destruction and despair on them."

Hazama's goal now became to avenge his dad and to bring destruction.
