Title: Clearing a misunderstanding
Post by: Kisaragi Zane on September 25, 2018, 01:01:39 PM
Hello everyone, Kisaragi here. This is going to be a rather short topic concerning something that was brought to my attention recently and hopefully I can clarify any misunderstandings and sort of summarize how I feel and explain a couple of things.

First off, I do love Vanguard. I love everything about the cards, the mechanics, the concepts of it, and even the friends and teams I've gotten to meet because of it, and all of the events I was able to create and contribute to both Vanguard and the CFA community. It's a very fun game casually and competitively, all of this I mean from the bottom of my heart, which is something I hope that everyone reading this does understand that much about me, if nothing else.

However, as of this moment, I'm not happy with Vanguard. I could go spend an entire essay explaining why with every little detail but to summarize it because I know people don't like long posts: Both formats are stale in terms of meta, deck building (there are some exceptions), and inactivity from my current Vanguard teams I'm on have left me detached from the game until something big or interesting happens. I understand that the game just had a reboot but still. I have expressed my issues many times through rants, discussions (both in public, in teams, and on social media) but ultimately it won't change the state of the game, so I've been keeping myself occupied through other various means. Granted I'll still play from time to time if I feel up for it, though not as much as I used to (especially within CFA community via Team Battles). Oh, and I still have my decks in real life too.

I realize now that I have made statements before that seem like I was "trash-talking" or "hating" Vanguard, that is not my intention. I do understand that my statements may have bothered people for many different reasons and for what it's worth: I would like to sincerely apologize. If you're able to enjoy the game in either format more than me, then please by all means, do so. I do not wish for my statements to affect anyone's ability to enjoy the game. I understand that it's confusing to hear negative comments towards the game especially from someone who is a moderator for said game, but I'm hoping that everyone understands that I wasn't trashing the game or hating it. Frustrated at it? Yeah, sure. But I know people still find value for the game and still wish to play (especially if they have people to play alongside with) and I support that.

Thank you for reading, hopefully it wasn't too long.

Like, Legitimatly, why would people care about someone elses opinion on the game. If they like the game then it shouldn't bother them. Unless somewhere in the back of their mind, they aren't having as much fun as they are thinking they are.

Also I agree with your point regarding the state of the game, inactivity aside because G-Formats discontinued soon, premium is just the same 3-4 decks over and over & Standard lacks most diversity in builds also it lacks a full clan pool at this point in time.
