Title: [Shadow Paladin] Witch of Cursed Charms, Edin
Post by: Prime Ddraig on May 05, 2014, 12:08:29 PM
How would I go about utilizing this card to its fullest? I've tested it twice and been able to get huge advantage but it loses out a lot due to being outpowered

My current decklist is here:

Starter:

x1 Spinbau Revenger

Grade 0:

x4 Revenger, Air Raid Dragon
x4 Grim Revenger
x4 Freezing Revenger
x4 Healing Revenger

Grade 1:

x4 Black Sage Charon
x2 Hatred Prison Revenger, Kuesaru
x2 Dark Shield Mac Lir
x4 Witch of Nostrum, Arianhrod
x2 Black-Winged Swordbreaker

Grade 2:

x4 Knight of Darkness Rugos
x4 Cursed Lancer
x3 Skull Witch, Nemain

Grade 3:

x4 Illusion Revenger, Mordred Phantom
x4 Witch of Cursed Charms, Edin

Reason for certain choices:

Revenger Triggers - No reason, Just a basis for my Triggers
Sword Breaker - I superior call it with Mordred Phantom so I can plus harder on Break Ride.
Spinbau - I really cannot find a better starter for this deck, Also the draw is easy to get due to the fact that all my G3's have Limit breaks
2 Quintet and 2 PG - its a Preference of mine, I prefer to use that sort of Ratio with my Sentinels.

Edin is amazingly designed. I was actually impressed how bushi designed it but failed a bit in the costing department.

Don't really like the use of double quints as Pg's are far more superior in the current legion meta but it works out, i guess.
Hope you have fun as this is one of those "Puzzle" cards which your opponent has to figure out before making any move against it.
Try testing Judge bau.
Deck looks solid though.

I would suggest to use a few Blaster Dark Revengers and Dorin so that you could retire the front row, making your opponent waste more hand just so you could get rid of them (similar to vermillion) Also use a grade 0 searcher for Blaster Dark Revenger or to support the 'Phantom' series in my opinion works better.

I'm not sure how you would make Edin/Etain viable.
The problem is that if you keep your RCs full, they'll just attack your rears with their rears and then attack Edin with their Vanguard.
It doesn't help that she's a 10k base so it's very easy to attack over her, so I would say to just keep one rear column full so that you can be sure you'll retire one of their guys that aren't attacking.

The card is really hard to use effectively but it is pretty neat when you can get it off.

It would be probably useful to use rearguards that call new ones (Ex. Bahd cahr)

Yeah, that would indeed help a lot to pay off the cost of the skill.
In the end, the best way to perfect your deck is really just experimenting with units that look like they might work and see which ones work the best.

Actually , Edin is a tanking VG. She makes the opponent to focus their attacks to your RG's thus saving VG attacks and damage. She was designed to do that. sure, in the process you are losing your RG's but you are simply extending your survivabiltity.

Last I checked, Edin isn't a Revenger, those abilities won't work

That's why I said to add in some other revengers as a suggestion.

Yes but once Edin is on the Vanguard Circle its pointless, I'd rather not play with a Time limit to use my Skills.

Okay, I see. I personally used the skill of Mordred to bring out BDR to retire front row and then use Edin to get rid of the other rearguards. Then, possibly use the Dark Dictator to settle the score.
