Since i noticed people applying trough the PM a lot:

Apply in this thread, sicne it's the official thread of our team. I also ask the current members to be active here. I know we have a skype group and a facebook group, but still, we have to be active here too.
Also, for those applying:
- I reccomend you to actually play the game first. When i say that, i mean play the game for a couple of months, be creative, make your own decks, make fun decks. I appritiate fun decks more then i appritiate Tier decks. Of course, having a couple of tier decks for Team battles is welcome, but still. I like to know that the future member is a good person, a good cardfighter and won't make any illogical moves, be it in a cardfight or in a conversation. Basically, we're searching for good/very good/excellent players with a sense of moral.

TEAM BATTLE AGAINST TEAM DIVINE SOULS

[Xiphoid Flare]:

- Hiei
- MaX
- Devour
- FrozenFang
- Sayla

[Divine Souls]:

- Blaze
- Rin Nakamura
- Skyzlimitz
- Touma Callum
- Asaka Sorciere

ROUND 1: [XF] Hiei vs. [DS] Blaze

The fight started normally. Hiei was using the newly released Raizer Legion series while Blaze was using the Seeker series. It was going well for both sides until luck mixed in the equasion, as it always is. They managed to balance it out until Hiei called the ever-so-strong Cat Butlr which put the pressure needed to finish the battle in our favour. 1-0

ROUND 2: [XF] Hiei vs. [DS] Rin Nakamura

The match seemed to start okay but again, the luck factor. Hiei missrode, or rather, didnt even get to ride a Grade 3. Nothing much to say about this except the fact that we now know witches work against missrides, which was the only thing to learn about this fight (duh, everything works against missrides). Rin ends Hiei's participation. 1-1

ROUND 3: [DS] Rin Nakamura vs. [XF] MaX

Witches on one side, Nubatama on the other. MaX seemed to lead the game at his pace until the bothersome Fianna and her Panyara-freaking-ra skill to swap your units with Grade 0's from your Top 10. If MaX was able to keep his Kuroko, hed have a big advantage, but this way, having most of his triggers called from the deck, he had nothing much to do here, thus it ended for him. 1-2

ROUND 4: [DS] Rin Nakamura vs. [XF] Devour

By this point i decided to take what i'm best at. I just plain out took out my Musketeer Nectars, since i didnt mind having Grade 0s called onto the field since i'd have just recyled them with skills and Legion. The game went for long, mostly because my turns hardly ended due to, well, it being a musketeer deck, duh. Anywho, with Vera on my side and a rapiere in my hand I ended the reign of the Witches. 2-2

ROUND 5: [XF] Devour vs. [DS] Skyzlimitz

Narukami versus Neo Nectar. To be completely honest, when i saw the first 3 turns my opponent made which I anticipated by seeing the first Phoenix and the Jinn, i knew this was a victory, no matter how douchy and cocky it sounded. Ill be honest and say that Narukami stands little to no chance against something that creates everything from nothing. Thusly, this is a case of a bad matchup and trigger death from my side, since, you know, Legion + fertilizing. Nothing more to say here. 3-2

ROUND 6: [XF] Devour vs. [DS] Touma Callum

Sin "Bustin' trough your balls" Buster enters the fray. Troughout the entire game i was dependant on Callums drives, because i couldn't guard the ever-so-broken skill Buster was given to by the somewhat stupid Bushiroad. Right when I was about to hit the bottom, 6th damage heal. The worst part about that, next turn i'd have lived the array if Callum hadn't have gotten the double trigger that he risked and gave to his Vanguard who then proceeded to erase me from the world of sanity. This pretty much ends in the phrase: "Thus he enters the gun on himself". 3-3

ROUND 7: [DS] Touma Callum vs. [XF] FrozenFang

Seekers against Metalborgs. Dryon comes in with his 2 criticals. Fang no guards, Callum get's a double critical trigger. Game over. And so is the team battle since Sayla decided to enter the fray in the dreamland. 3-4 and 3-5

FINAL SCORE: [3-5]

First of all, I'd like to thank Team Divine Souls for the Team Battle. I do have to say, the matches were somewhat interesting. We all know I'm a sore loser, because I don't lose often, and when I do, I'm pissed. I'm pissed right now as well. However, I won't deny the fact that we're the one who challenged you, so I, or we, don't have the right to say anything. Only appritiation and a sorrowfull letter of acceptance. I do hope well be able to fight again, hopefully with a different score.
With this settled, I call forth my teammates to join me in a training session this weekend. I'll resume the training Gunslingers with penalties that I once used as a method of getting better with Dragonic Demise, and it seemed to pay off, since, 24-28 streak isn't a small feat. With this I conclude tonight's (or rather this morning's) battle report and I bid you my goodbyes. Good night and dont forget about this weekend!

So today's main event was a battle between TCC and ourselves.

It was settled to be a 5 vs 5 gunslinger, so here's the summary, sponsored by Yeager, the Black Nursed Bug.

First Round: Devour vs Katscaps 0-1

Dev's army of Musketeer triggers decided to go on vacations, as Kat's Revengers did their job well resulting in the first win to be handled to TCC.

Second Round: Halo vs Katscaps 0-2

Halo summoned his Seekers for a good old Royal vs Shadow Paladin game, but no one told him how all Seekers whose grade is 1 got drunk in an Etranger party, meaning he got gradelocked and the merciless revengers smacked another win for TCC.

Third Round: Zac vs Katscaps 1-2

Zac brought in his Metalborgs to avenge his fallen teammates and almost lost due to SinBuster deciding not to show up. Fortunately, Kat forgot Commander Laurel effect and when SinBuster arrived Zac was able to finally defeat the Revengers, with great effort though.

Fourth Round: Zac vs Ryuk 2-2

Ryuk brought in a Nouvelle deck, but this time Zac's Grade 3 cards were right on schedule, the Metalborg continuous pressure was too much for Ryuk to endure granting XF second win.

Fifth Round Zac vs Jenny 2-3

Musketeers were back in the struggle and unfortunately for Zac he got gradelocked once more, although this time he never got a chance.

Sixth Round Yeager vs Jenny 3-3

I played with my Commander SinKaiser OTK deck (Daikaiser + SinBuster + Commander Laurel OTK), and would immediately be sent away due to a misride at grade 0. CFA crashed on me during said game. I thank Jenny for giving me the rematch ill sum up now.
This time Jenny misrode at grade 2, however she maintained a good rear guard setup and due to the fact that my deck is not agressive till i setup the combo, she managed to survive. With the help of an unlikely double stand i took the 6th damage as soon as she legion'd Vera. Luckily for me lady Black Nurse was on top of my deck, and i managed to control the final 2 turns and deliver the final blow.

Seventh Round Yeager vs Penguin 4-3

The game went normal with Penguin taking an early lead with his highly agressive Seeker deck, but i pulled my combo which got me my second win.

Eight Round Yeager vs Alco 4-4

On this game, i had a poor early game, which vs Brawlers is fatal. Even though Black Nurse arrived again at damage 6, i was doomed long time ago.

Ninth Round MaX vs Alco 5-4

No story on this one, Alco got gradelocked at G0 vs Max's Seekers, and having not even a single damage trigger combined with said gradelock costed him the game.

So XF won, good game fellas.

Also i didnt saw the entire TB so if anything i told here is wrong (i writed according to what people told me) feel free to smack me.

Bugging Out
Yeager

I enjoy card games, video games, and lots of music.

Hello dear readers of the Xiphoid Flare Daily. Today, I've some important info to announce and some interesting info to share.

SUMMER SHINE TEAM CIRCUIT RESULT

First of all, I'd like to thank Kurai for hosting such an event, and as I said, I support these events 100%, as I'm annoyed by people who want me to host everything, as it's impossible. Secondly, I am proud to announce that one of the Xiphoid Flare teams has won the Circuit. Team Chevalier, consisted of MaX, Yeager and myself has had a great run with 11 out of 12 total match victories. Splendid result! The prize we've acquired from Kurai himself is in the skype group, so be sure to check it out (member only). The 2nd team didn't do as well, since Damba missrode badly and Saggi after him had a terrible streak of luck which resulted in 3-0, as the other members didn't show up due to approved absence. I shall now do a brief report of our rounds:

Team Chevalier
- Devour (Shadow Paladin)
- MaX (Royal Paladin)
- Yeager (Gold Paladin)

[Round 1]
- Our first round was very easy as we fought a non existing opponent, thusly, 3-0 going to the record book.

[Round 2]
- Respectably I can say that this has been the toughest round for us as we fought one of the best teams in the tournament, by my opinion. We fought against Divine Souls' Main team which included NovaRaizer (Gold Paladin) himself, Doryan (Narukami) and Callum (Dimensional Police). We studied our opponents before the round, concluding the best way to take them out. Final result was 2-1.

[Round 3]
- This was a very clean round. Honestly, I was worried about my preformance with Witches in this match, as we did a further inspection into our opponents and we've found a flaw in our plan, which was my match-up, the Revengers. It turned out to be quite well, since we ended the round 3-0 in our favour. The participants on Team Blue Sorciere's side were Zane Sorciere (Shadow Paladin), Asaka Sorciere (Genesis) and [DS] Skyzlimitz (Narukami).

[Round 4]
- This is it. The final match. Team Susano'o that honestly surprised me to come this far as it was consisted of your everday troll Zeox, Kaze the lazy "mod" and Thunder (i don't know who it is, but he was there). Anywho, Kaze (Gold Paladin) fought against Devour, that'd be me, and it was probably one of the longest matches ever as I missrode 3 turns, went back up to lead and bring both near deckout. Kaze decided to Cron it and lead himself to a DC and a DQ. The match was good, but the last card I got determined it all, so even without the DC, I'd have prevailed. Thunder (Narukami) went against the force that must not be awakened, Yeager, who easly brought the victory home. Zeox (Royal Paladin) decided to take on Max, the one and only Paladin who stripped him off his pride, bringing yet another victory for the Chevaliers, thusly ending the finals 3-0.

Conclusion: Team Chevalier prevails in the war and takes the prize to their fiery lands with only 1 lost cardfgiht in the entire tournament. Commendable!

TEAM VOTING SYSTEM RESULT

- As you know, I've set up a voting system on skype, where most of you've given meur answers. It was anonymous to prevent any hate/unsportsmanlike action, thusly the only personw ith actual results was me. Without further ado, I'll inform you of the changes to the team.

- 60% of the votes are positive, 20% negative and 20% are indiferent.
Team Leadership Status - Team with a Leader

Strip Devour of his position?

With this I conclude todays newsflash. The members who haven't given me the lore requiremenets need to do so ASAP! We'll be holding an internal tournament soon, so follow the news. Once again, be active on skype. That Is the only requirement you've for now, people. As for new recruits, we've some spot(s) left. You've time to apply, but you don't have much space left. Hurry up before you lose your chance! King regards to all readers,

Dear readers, welcome to another Xiphoid Flare daily, this time in a shorter version. Let's get to the scoop.

[XIPHOID FLARE VOTING #2]

- This time's voting took an expected turn in the evolution of our team. Without further ado, let's announce the voting.

- Change Lore pictures to match our favourite characters from anime(s)?

- Edit in the characters with our titles in "Clear Mind" to create our team song?

- Change the layout of the Team Thread and in what way(s)?

- Match our titles to elements/emotions or something that doesn't look as random as now?

Results will be announced when at least 90% of the team has voted.

The second and last point of the day, we wish to officially welcome Penguin, who's joined our ranks [14. 7. 2014.]. We hope and wish for all the ebst in the team and we will try to bring him to the top.
As for others who've applied. We'll be testing every day, depending when you're avalible. Until friday, MaXtreme will be testing new applicants. From friday onward, Devour will be testing new applicants. In case of a mixup in the schedules, the testing will be done by Devour/MaXtreme/Yeager.

As always, thank you for reading and we hope to have more good news to bring to you in the next one.

- Devour.

TEAM BATTLE REPORT

Team Battle against Team Irregulars [T-IRR] - [16. 7. 2014.]

Team Xiphoid Flare:
- Sayla
- Penguin
- Kasuna
- FrozenFang
- Destiny
- MaXtreme

Team Irregulars:
- Silas
- Raze
- Tippy67
- Laxus
- Solar
- MT (?)

[XF] Sayla vs. [T-IRR] Silas - [0:1]

- The round was going in Sayla's favour when the server chrshed. In their 2nd clash Sayla's Kagero has been a trouble for her, having terrible luck with it while the opponent kept his luck as his strong side, thusly putting Irregular in the lead.

[XF] Penguin vs. [T-IRR] Silas - [0:2]

- Another sackage by Silas where Penguin got little to no usable triggers, and most importantly was grade locked at G0 for 2 turns which gave Silas and his Celestials yet another victory.

[XF] Kasuna vs. [T-IRR] Silas - [1:2]

- Gold Paldins take on Celestials as Kasuna easily gets the first win for Xiphoid Flare, leaving Silas and Irregulars with their first loss.

[XF] Kasuna vs. [T-IRR] Raze - [2:2]

- I'd love to say that this was a start of interesting matches but I'd be lying. Honestly, there's little to no sense to even say anything other than Kasuna crushes Raze and his Seekers while she was still on G2 bringing Xiphoid Flare a tie.

[XF] Kasuna vs. [T-IRR] Tippy67 - [3:2]

- Another overwhelmingly offensive play by Kasuna that brought Genovious and Tippy to their knees, turning the score around and bringing hope for Xiphoid Flare. Bravo.

[XF] Kasuna vs. [T-IRR] Laxus - [3:3]

- This is getting extremely boring to write, as this entire team battle was either played perfectly or people got sacked. It's up to you to determine who got double crited here, folks. Tie for Irregulars.

[XF] WaiterFang vs. [T-IRR] Laxus - [3:4]

- I've to say, from what I've heard, Fang made some mistakes. Now, I'll be checking that as soon as possible to fix those mistakes, but anyways, with mistakes made, and once again, luck on one's side, Irregulars turn the lead with Laxus at the front.

[XF] Destiny vs. [T-IRR] Laxus - [4:4]

- Des finaly gets his, uhm, how do I say it, chocolate-chip-cookie-like mass together in team battles and destroys Laxus with ease. Welcome home, Des!

[XF] Destiny vs. [T-IRR] MT (?) - [5:4]

- I really wonder why are you still reading this as it's obvious what happened and I'm obviously very bored and annoyed for having to do this even though I wasn't there, but anyways. Des wins against the guy who's name I don't think I wrote correctly, but eh. Chocolate-chip-cookie-like mass happens.

[XF] Destiny vs. [T-IRR] Solar - [6:4]

- Would you look at that, another win, same way as every other battle in this team battle, as I said, it's either magnificent play on one side or a spazzle-badazzle "Mom I'm super lucky" on the other side. Anyways, Destiny brings the final victory into m-.....uhh, I mean, Xiphoid Flare's hands thusly ending this team battle with 2 outstanding scores of 3-1 and 3-0. Congratulations!

FINAL RESULT: Team Xiphoid Flare is Victorious [6:4]

Now, for finishers, I'd like to apologize for anyone that's had to read this, since you probably feel 60% stupider than you were (don't worry, I do too) since this was very, very boring and painful to type out. Most likely because I wasn't present. Anyways, I'd like to thank Team Irregulars for fighting us and I wish them even more luck in the next Team Battles. As for my teammates, you did well. I understand some of you may feel dissapointed, but there's no need to. If the team wins, we all win. Be it one person or the entire squad. We're all winners here, and we'll all do better in the future. Remember, if your heart isn't quivering, and your soul isn't trembling, you can do it with the clearness and calmness of your mind. We must only look skyward! That's where our journey begins!

TEAM BATTLE REPORT

Team Xiphoid Flare
- Kasuna
- Sayla
- Yeager
- Penguin
- MaX

Team Masked Knights
- ET
- Dark Storm
- Patrickzzz
- Blaster
- Atemus

Kasuna vs. [Hunter] ET - [1:0]
The team battle started with a showdown between Gold Paladins and Dimensional police. The fight started with some standard skill-linking such as Spring Breeze Messenger and Aglovale with Yoseph on Kasuna's end while ET had his Daikaizer up and ready to rumble, having the preperation needed to end the game very soon. However, it didn't work out as he planned as he was only able to ride another Daikaizer while Kasuna had pulled off 2 Legions of Percival, giving her the edge of the battle. The risk Kasuna had taken, no guarding a 3 critical Dryon with Daikaizer's BR skill and most importantly surviving it gave her the final edge to take the first game. Xiphoid Flare leads.

Kasuna vs. Black Storm - [2:0]
This was a fairly quick match that had an unexpected twist of events. Kasuna didn't have a chance to get a Grade 3 in this fight. Nevertheless, Storm's mistakes were his own doom as he overly attacked the rear-guards instead of rushing the Vanguard the entire time and it was only decided when he went all in, calling his Bry Knuckle on the field which he could've used to guard the enxt turn but he decided it was more important to skill-link Laurel and get a double twin drive. However, Kasuna outplayed him, guarding only the vanguard attack which gave her the opportunity to demolish Storm while still on Grade 2. Amazing feat.

Kasuna vs. Patrickzzz - [2:1]
Both players entered the game fairly well. Kasuna with her usual Paladin performance and skill-link and Patrickzz with a full Musketeer field. This game interests me particulary as Musketeers are being played and I shall talk about it fairly long. The first missplay I noticed on Patrickz' side was the extensive usage of hand to guard irrelevant units. Guarding Augusto with over 70k guard troughout the entire match is unnecessary, as he's easly replacable even if it hits for 21k with Mirkka. His legion usage was a bit shabby as he went for some interesting choices while returning and then proceeding to try and fill up his drop zone with more units which I don't think he should've returned at all. On the other hand, Kasuna played calmly until she did the ultimate mistake for which she had to throw the game, returning Percival with Zenith. After doing so and realizing what she's done (due to being annoyed at skype, which is why I say to only play the game, don't look at anything else), she no guarded what she could've guarded to repent for her 'sins', thusly giving the first point to Masked Knights.

[XF] Sayla vs. Patrickzzz - [2:2]
This was a match of fortune for both fighters. Sayla rushed fairly early with her Big Bangs, getting a double critical drive, bringing Patrickz to 4 damage early. However, Patrickz managed to get back on the horse with, if I may notice, another unnecesary act which didn't even bring him the legion that turn, but, it worked for him. Fortunately for him, he brought out a series of legion attacks ultimately getting a karma-filled double critical drive while Sayla was a 3 damage giving this team abttle a tie result midway trough it.

Yeager vs. Patrickzzz - [3:2]
Another match of Gold Paladins and Neo Nectars, only this time, it was Patrickz who was unfortunate. He didn't get a Grade 3 at all, as Yeager gave him no opportunity to do so. However, him not getting a Grade 3 is due to his own mistake as he rode Sylvia, superior calling Vera only to activate Kirah too late which resulted in him not getting a Grade 3. Yeager pulled of his combinations of Percival-Aglovale-Merron-Yoseph and of course Spring Breeze which resulted in another victory and a stop to Masked Knights turn-around.

Yeager vs. [MK Abyss] Blaster - [4:2]
Shadow Paladins versus Gold Paladins. An anime match-up.... or it would be if Blaster hadn't have misgraded. However, Blaster held on tight and hadn't given Yeager the opportunity to finish it quickly. He endured a series of 19k+ attacks but in the end, Zenith crushes the hopes of Shadows, Blaster and Masked Knights, giving joy to Xiphoid Flare, but mainly myself, of course.

Yeager vs. [MK] Atemus - [5:2]
Yeager started off fairly fine by superior calling Yoseph fairly early due to Aglovale which gave him a lead both in field and hand size. Atemus had everything ready for a barrage of attacks from his Raizers but he misplayed at a crucial point, if I may say so. It was courageous of him to give the Draw to his Vanguard when Yeager guarded for 2 to pass, and he was rewarded with another draw. However, he either forgot to skill-stand Phoenix Raizer FW which would be able to hit despite Yeager's double damage trigger. At that point Yeagers hand and his renewed field were ready to take out Atemus. The guards were enough until Yeager decided to finaly let loose with Zenith and his overwhelming skill which ultimately, along with a trigger which was fairly expected at that point gave the finishing blow to Atemus' defences.

FINAL RESULT: Xiphoid Flare wins [5:2]

Finaly, I'd like to thank Masked Knights once again for giving us an opportunity to have a fun Team Battle and we wish them all the best in the future. In the meantime, we've another team battle happening in aproximetly 20 minutes, so if you've no plans but to watch us fight again, be sure to visit the Southern Forest as Neo Genesis decides to tackle our domain.
Until the next report,

- Devour.
Title: Re: Team Xiphoid Flare - [XF]
Post by: Devour on July 19, 2014, 05:43:05 PM
Hello fellow team members and other visitors. In today'd Xiphoid Flare daily I'll be reporting the team battle that occured yesterday but I wasn't able to post it as it would be a breach of my own rules, thusly illogical.

TEAM BATTLE REPORT

Team Xiphoid Flare
- Devour
- Kasuna
- Sayla
- Yeager

Team Neo Genesis
- Silver
- Misaka
- Mikado
- Xateramusa

[XF] Devour vs. [NG] Silver - [0:1]
This was a troughoutly one-sided match as I misgrode for 3 turns on Grade 2 and got no triggers what-so-ever, not to mention my Musketeer checks were terrible (but again, that was my luck that entire day). On the other hand, Silver played a good match, to be perfectly honest. He has complete mastery over his Spike Brothers despite the situation we, or rather, I was in. He displayed more than myself at the present time which brouth him and Neo Genesis the first match. Congratulations.

Kasuna vs. Misaka10032 - [1:1]
Kasuna played her usual Gold Paladins while Misaka played the Battle Sister legion deck. The early game was evenly matched. However, once Kasuna legioned it all went her way. The pressure of constant 20k guards made Misala lose her hand fairly easy despite her playing a hand-managing deck which was fairly stable, but it lacked a certain spark and thusly Kasuna wins with Percival as her victory muse.

[XF] Sayla vs. Mikado - [DENIED]
This was a very frustrating match, or rather, the follow-up was very frustrating. Sayla played Big Bang Knuckle tech while Mikado led up with Seekers. However, Mikado misrode, or rather, he hadn't have rode at all. He held up well until the time where he lost his hand. Seemingly it was our victory, as Sayla did in fact deal the final damage, but. A certain 3rd party told us that during this match Sayla "cheated" by drawin 2 cards in one turn. None of the rest have noticed, but we were given "proof" and of course, had the later part of this team battle have been different, the outcome of this would be different too, but we'll get to it. Main point, by proposing a rematch to Akira, we agreed it will indeed be held even if the "cheat" didn't affect the game at any time, as it was given who the voctor would be.

Yeager vs. Xateramusa - [2:1]
This match was in Yeagers control, since he used his well-tuned Gold Paladins while Xateramusa used Hyakki Vougue. The match itself was more of a lesson to Xatera rather than a team battle match as Yeager was indeed telling her what to do and why to do it / what not to do. There were some mistakes but that is one of the reasons to why we have team battles. Experience trough combat. I do hope Xatera didn't mind for the "lesson" and I certanly do hope she won't mind me writting it blatantly like this, since I don't mean harm. Either way, a fairly good match.

[XF] Sayla vs. Mikado - (REMATCH) - [2:2]
Mikado misgrode again but it didn't matter since Sayla got little to no useful triggers in her game. Her starting had was pretty much awful, judging by her story, and when Mikaod rode his Thing Saver Dragon, it was over as it forced the guard Sayla didn't have, thusly giving Mikado the win.

FINAL RESULT: Draw - [2:2]

Both Akira and I had decided that the team battle was a pointless sharade of mixing parties that had nothing to do with each other that were the cause of the undecisive result. I, myself, apologize for what happened, and I assure you, Sayla didn't mean to "cheat". I'm faily certain it happened to all of us, to draw a card by a mouse glitch, and sometimes you notice, sometimes you don't. Especially when it's the end of the turn and you stand and draw and the opponent decides he has skills to activate and whatnot and youd raw again by simply forgetting you had already drew. But anyway, I hope this doesn't ruin our friendly relationship and I sure do hope we will have many better ones in the future.

INTERNAL TEAM TOURNAMENT - [7/21/2014]

The purpose of the tournament is to amuse the members and potentially give out a team-only award that will most likely be a position on the team as well as your name going to the records as the first internal tournament winner. To spice it up, I shall join as well.

[SIGN-UP]:

- Post your in-game name as well as the clan of the deck you will be playing which is determined by your SV (Starting Vanguard) here.
- You may use a mixed deck as long as you have 12 or less units with clan different than the clan of your SV.
- You are obliged to use skype troughout the tournament.
- PM me with the results of every match so that I will be able to keep score.
- Players that do not belong to Team Xiphoid Flare may not join this tournament.

The tournament will take place at the Ice Castle, "Lotteryroom" at 17:00 GMT (London). You've 15 minutes to show up before every match, otherwise you will be disqualified.

So I'm applying again after an initial retraction. Circumstances have changed.

IGN: Beryl
Preferred Decks: Link Joker, Tachikaze, Royal/Gold Paladins. Will more than likely include Nubatama upon the Legion's release/testing.
Ace Card(s): Schwarzschild Dragon; Star-vader, Garnet Star Dragon; Ancient Dragon, Magma Armor; Seeker, Perdition Breath Dragon; Sanctuary of Light, Planetal Dragon. Others/changes pending, of course.
Reason for Joining: I've been playing Vanguard since BT05 came out in Japan, and even when I became a leader in my old team, I always looked for people to improve with and also have fun improving with. I only ever found one person in that time, which drove me to stop playing eventually when I simply could not find anyone. Now, however, it's very clear that Xiphloid Flare is a team where I can have the chance to have both things I've always wanted to have in a team, while also being part of a team considered to be one of the stronger ones in existence.

My Time Zone's GMT -4, which I believe is Eastern Standard Time. I'm up to test at whatever time for the most part. Let me know, though, because I do have a vet appointment for my dog tomorrow morning at 11 AM.

Hello it's MaX here and i'll report today's Team Battle vs Team Cat Circus. It was a 5v5 Gunslinger

Xiphoid Flare: Yeager, Hyoma, Penguin, MaX, Sayla
Cat Circus: Moezilla, Jack, Jai, Alco, Kats

Game #1 Yeager vs Moezilla (WIN)

Yeager decides  to use Liberators just like in the last TB, vs Moezilla who was using Regalias. Yeager build his hand a field while Moezilla couldn't manage to break ride at any costs. Yeager's rush gives Xiphoid Flare a 1-0 lead.

Game #2 Yeager vs Jack (WIN)

Same golds, now vs Aqua Force's Blue Storm. Yeager had a high amount of triggers in the game, but that didn't stop Jack from break riding into Tetra-Burst and mixing with the starter for a +3 and 2 retire. Regardless Yeager manages to get his field straight with consistency as he pulls the 2nd win. 2-0

Game #3 Yeager vs Jai (LOSS)

Jai uses Seekers with Ashilei (which i admit i was surprised). This wasn't a simple cf, this was a sack war, both players had at least 1 trigger per drive check. Sadly Jai pulls off the Triple Sing Saver attack, Yeags survived but he couldn't do much after that. Cat Circus gets their 1st win. 2-1

Game #4 Hyoma vs Jai (LOSS)

Hyoma was using Raizers vs Seekers. Jai missed a grade 3 but that didn't stop Hyoma...or Jai from pulling yet another Sing Saver Rush

Game #5 Penguin vs Jai (WIN)

Penguin was using pirates and did a move that helped him get this game. He decided to send his g3s to the deck so Jai couldn't Legion, and with a bit of rush puts him into a corner. Helpless without his Legion Jai would just attack without effect, and in the final turn Penguin rides Pinot Noir and puts us in the lead again. 3-2

Game #6 Penguin vs Alco (WIN)

PIRATE EXTRAVAGANZA!!!!!!!!!! Mirror match time. Both players speed up their games to see who builds up a field faster. With some clever guards penguin gets his setup and supresses Alco's rush, keeping Xiphoid Flare in the lead. 4-2

Game #7 Penguin vs Kats (LOSS)

Kats uses Perdition Dragons (or Purgatory idk) vs the pirates. Penguin was grade locked on 2 yet almost did an upset as when he double crits Kats when he gets to Legion. Sadly Kats was lucky enough to pull the 6th heal trigger, and finishing on the next turn to decrease our winning advantage. 4-3

Final Game MaX vs Kats (WIN)

I've decided to use my Sing Saver mix since it's always reliable, even vs Kats's Dragons. It wasn't a very exciting game, Kats tried to wipe my field but in the end I finish with triple Sing Saver + Uru buster to give the team the win. 5-3

I want to thank Kats and his team for the exciting Team Battle we've had. Until we play again :D

I, as leader of ZL, request a TB between XF and ZL.  We would like this TB to be a Normal 5v5, with double mulligan.

If possible, I'd like this TB to happen sometime next week, though this week can also work.

MaX here, we're currently in a team battle vs Celestial Storm. This is what happened so far

Xiphoid Flare: Des, Hyoma, Yeager, MaX, Sayla
Celestial Storm: Absol, Shiro, Gaara, Alduin, Shurgal

Des vs Absol 0-1 Loss

First fight starts with a long, balanced and offensive clash as Des with Liberators faced the Musketeers of Absol. Both players took their time to set up their field, but Absol attacks first with Vera and her powercreep each turn. Des catches up using Prominence Core and his skills; these 2 had a full field and gigantic hands, Des healing on our side while Absol got other triggers. But thanks to the many legions (5 i think) Absol did and Des's deckout Celestial Storm takes the lead.

Hyoma vs Absol 1-1

Hyoma also uses Liberators for this clash but he attacked more recklessly than Des pushing Absol to 5 damage early. Absol tried to counterattack with power but it didn't work. On the other side Hyoma exploited the arsenal of superior calls to increase the power of Bruno while setting up the field and giving us the win.

Hyoma vs Gaara 1-2

The same Liberators vs Gaara's Ancient Dragons (totally expected kagero there). Gaara rushes faster with the chain attacks of the dinos while Hyoma made the field with Core, but Gaara does the same with Tyrannoquake. It looked like Hyoma pushed Gaara to a corner but he manages to set up the ideal field and with the help of triggers puts CS in the lead again.

Yeager vs Gaara 2-2

Bug decides to change a bit and uses Pale Moon vs Ancient Dragons. Using Break Ride + Legion at his favor he filled his field and increased his hand with Egg Juggler (at least 3 times) while performing a multiple chain of attacks. Gaara fights back with over 21k columns of dinos but Yeager had a hand way too big to be finished as he performs another Legion and pressures Gaara who still survived. He tried using Magma Armor to return triggers but still wasn't enough. After he decided that the fight was meaningless Gaara called for a forfeit making this team battle even again.

Yeager vs Shiro 2-3

Shiro was also using Ancient Dragons. Yeager missed a grade 2 for a turn and Shiro exploited that as he rushed Yeager relentlessly, so Yeags reaches grade 3 but sees himself with 5 damage while Shiro had 2. He tried to use Break Ride + Legion like before but it was useless. On the next turn Shiro pulls off a combo of 6 attacks but Yeager manages to survive by a slim chance, which was meaningless as Shiro blocked everything our bug had and finished him off.

MaX vs Shiro 3-3

It was my turn with my Seekers as i got pressured from the start, but due to lots of guards of my part i set up my Legions. Shiro almost got me with Tyrannoquake but I managed to hold on to finish with triple Sing Saver attack (as usual) and tie the game once again.

MaX vs Alduin 4-3

I was facing Perdition Dragons, they literally killed anything i brought to the field, as he pulls off Vortex Dragonewt to kill my offensive and deal damage to me. Alduin had a big hand compared to mine as i thought he'd win but somehow lacked offensive rear-guards to attack. He pushes me to a point where I was about to lose but luckily got heal trigger at 6 damage and survived. The final turn was with Wingal as vanguard (yes I did not ride sing saver once) with Alduin guarding for 1 pass, i get a critical trigger and pull off a comeback for the win and the lead of our team for the first time in this team battle.

MaX vs Shurgal 5-3

Shurgal uses Regalias to try to save for Celestial Storm vs my Seekers. I manage to perfect guard Yggdrasil without Legion and Yggdrasil without using its skill. I gotta say i finished with triple Sing Saver and all but, the amount of triggers from my side was absolutely ridiculous (sorry Shurgal). After he decided that it was pointless to continue even though he had enough to protect himself with he took the 6th damage and making Xiphoid Flare the winner of this team battle.

Thanks to Celestial Storm for the team battle and welcome back Gaara and the others I hope we can fight a lot more from now on.

So, as you all know, I've been away for these past couple of days due to my, if I may say, well deserved vacation. So let's get on it.

Firstly, I'd like to congratulate the team for the victory over Celestial Storm. Good to know Max has his good side once in a while.

Secondly, it has been proposed to me to act as I used to on Cardfight Capital and I gladly took that idea, so, brace yourself, because I will be strict again. Meaning, no more kidding around, missing team battle/tournament termins unless you have a valid excuse, no more provocations, internal arguments, provocating other teams to get a Team battle etc. Basically, from this moment on I bring back the elitism of Dragonic Demise [DD] which proved to work, having 23 straight Team Battle victories in a row under my leadership. Thusly, The Lawful Dictator reappears on the frey.

Thirdly, about the Team Battle with ZL. I'll try to organize it as soon as possible, basically, when CABS ends as the immense stupidity/cheating/missunderstanding is draining all of my strenght. Plus, as you know, my workout sessions have been prolonged and are now harder, and my food intake hit the rock bottom as my diet now contains mostly powdered protein and water, so yeah, I'm tired.

Supreme, Lambo, Kokutei. I'll get to you once my schedule opens up. Basically I'll PM you, even though the list is kind of full, but since Supreme and Lambo are the people with whom I led Xross Heart, Future Xross and finally Dragonic Demise, they have an advantage of being accepted, and not testing Kokutei would be unfair, so that's that. I'll get to you all.

Finally, be prepared to recreate your Lore images, titles and text. Be ready for it by Saturday. I will not tolerate lazyness.

MaX again, with another team battle report vs Team Blank (get it on your system)

[XF] Zac vs La Flaga [Nick] 0-1

This was a fairly one sided Mirror Match between Kagero Users, Nick made a heavy swarm early game forcing Zac to use up resources that could have been used for mid to late game and made a very unexpected Break Ride against Zac during his 5th Damage. That is Break Riding the Nehalem on top of Dauntless Drive Dragon (seriously WTF). In all honesty, everybody agreed Straight Disrespect with that move, but Nick knew he was dealing with a Legion Break Ride combo, so I guess he knew what he was doing in a sense. Anyway, Critical Trigger on the Second Nehalem Attack sealed the Game in favor of Nick.

Lal Mirch vs La Flaga [Nick] 1-1

This was an absolutely horrible game for  Nick, being Grade-Locked since Turn 1, and only getting to the point of Grade 1
after a few turns after being swarmed by Lal. Thus the match ended quickly in Lal's favor.

Lal Mirch vs Artyy 2-1

This match started Sour for Artyy's Bermuda Triangle as he was grade-locked for about 2 turns. Everything started to turn around slightly into Artyy's Favor as he began to make a comeback against Lal's calm onslaught of Gold Paladins. Artyy pulled a Last-Stand type Attack from a Break Ride Legion Combo. Sadly however, Lal launched a full assault the next turn and was able to crit Artyy at 4th Damage, however, Artyy pulled out a 6th Damage Heal Trigger which gave him a breath of life to retaliate once more. It was in vain however, as the attack didn't pass through and Artyy made a Misplay that may or may not have changed the outcome of the game. Thus
Lal took the Victory and managed to place Team Xephoid Flare in the lead.

Lal Mirch vs [XF]AncintHalo 3-1

The Classive Season 3 ending of Link Joker vs Gold Paladin, with Halo using Chaos Zodiac Deck while Lal followed up with his Attumn Core Gold Paladin Deck. The fight was essentially neck and neck with good plays being made overall throughout both Sides. However, the biggest flaw on Link Joker's side was that it required a Persona Blast before or after Legion to deal the real damage against opponents. Nicely played by Lal for not allowing Halo to ride the Chaos Breaker, or even not allowing him to deal the Zodiac Lock to harshly stun him. Overall, this was a very close fight to the Bitter End. An unfortunate habit of Halo's cost him the Match where he called out a no guard to Lal's 20k Legion attack that could have and should have been guarded to 2 Triggers.

The victory goes to Team Xiphoid Flare with 3-1 as final result.

Note: credit for Halo who wrote this report for me you're the best :D

If you have a problem with someone, please take it up on a private message system and NOT publicly to either the people you have a problem with or an existing mod/admin.

Let me get this straight. Firstly, you decide to criticise my actions on behalf of your self-proclaimed justice regarding a case you know absolutly nothing about. Proceedingly, you decide that it's a damn smart idea to insult me in every possible way via PM. After that, you plain out decide talking about someone's team who you know absolutly nothing about like they are a bunch of idiots who've jsut learned to walk, when it's pretty much vice versa in this situation. After all of that, you decide it's a right thing to do to post on someone's team thread something that has nothing to do with the team but your personal issues which you've caused yourself, if I may add. Let me make something clear, to everyone. I'm not a god, I'm not someone on a higher moral ground than any of you. But I do know how to do my job, and I do it pretty damn good. I've been a part of the community since summer 2011 and boy have I seen cases like yours. You've all the right to complain, but as a private matter and nicely, without any hideous expressions like you've used so far (don't worry, I've about 10 screenshots). My point is, you might think I'm a horrible person because you obviously live in the spurr of the moment. I don't. I look at things long term. I even make myself the bad guy for all of you to prevent you from doing something stupid or being called the same in the future by someone for something you would've done if I hadn't stopped you. It really is a bad idea to complain to me all the time, ask for a million things and then criticise how I do my job. It's immoral and it ticks me off completely. If you intend to pursue this little anarchistic dream of yours, be sure that I will stop you on day 1, because I'm very upset with you right now, as this has crossed the line. The moderators agree on this matter, as you evidently have little to no idea what you're doing about, and from this moment on, I would appritiate if you people could butt out of our jobs unless you're trying to be helpfull. And do take in mind that this is the short versionof what I have to say. Proceed with this kind of behaviour and you might hear the rest of it followed by a present.
Any further comment on this matter here will be deleted. Thank you for your time.

- Devour.

So today we had a 5 vs 5 normal Team Battle vs Team Zenith Lancer, and the lazy bunch that is my team bugged me to make this report. So lets get to it shall we?

Game 1: Kasuna vs Aeon

Kasuna unleashed the purgatory dragons while Aeon summoned Void's power. Unfortunately Kasuna didnt got a grade 3 at the right time which gave Aeon some leverage considering the fact that Kasuna depleted plenty of 10k's with gojo to try to get said g3. Nonetheless Dragonewt arrived on the next turn and Kasuna was able to mount a counterattack vs Chaos Breaker Dragon. Imaginary Plane followed him and on the following turn Kasuna drive checked 2 grade 3's which resulted in ZL win. 1-0

Game 2: Halo vs Hail

Hail attended to Halo's Circus with his seekers friends and both showed quite the game.
Halo's star quickly arrived in the shape of Cracking Beast Tamer, and he got some hand and field advantage with its remarkable effect, not to mention continuous pressure with the good ol' Nightmare Doll Alice on the rear. Hail would react and Seeker, Sing Saver Dragon showed its fangs with its skill, skill that Halo managed to survive. On the following turn, Halo needed a trigger to win, but the circus was out of tricks and Hail finished on the following turn. 2-0

Game 3: Des vs Snosoul

Des used Silver Thorns and Snosoul went with Musketeers. Unfortunately Snosoul misrode at grade 0, and was told by his teammates to leave the game, because apparently we had agreed for a double mulligan beforehand. Considering the fact that i wasn't informed that double mulli was allowed and that Kasuna had already lost due to a misride, the common sense resulted in Des's win, so 2-1.

Game 4: Hyoma Thunder vs Cheru

For this fourth game Hyoma used the Navy while Cheru used the Pirates, it sure looked like a One Piece war xD
Hyoma pressured early game and it could meant bad news for Cheru if it wasn't for 2 timely heal triggers which resulted in Cheru's big advantage and a moment where the damage was 4-1 for her. Nonetheless Hyoma did not give up and triggers rewarded him too allowing him to recover and finishing Cheru's off, to tie this Team Battle.

Yeager (me) vs Gemini

My Liberators joined the fray, while Purgatory Dragons were unleashed once more, but this time for ZL.
My opponent had a better start, being able to call several rears and building some advantage. No triggers had showed up for both sides when he rode and Legioned Dragonewt, whose resulting effect and the double crit that followed it gave him the advantage. On the next turn though, the combos of Percival, Aglovale, Joseph and Bruno gave me back my field, my hand and tied the damage in 5-5. After surviving another strike from Dragonewt and roding another Percival, my opponent guarded for a 1 to pass, and the only trigger i pulled the whole game showed up in the shape of the crit, securing me the win for me and the win of the Team Battle. 3-2!

It sure is nice to win after be losing by 2-0! Tomorrow there is more action cause apparently there will be another Team Battle.
Lets battle again folks!

Yeager

Hopefully, I'll have the time to be there.

LETTER OF DISBANDMENT!

Team Xiphoid Flare has officially disbanded after several months of almost no activity. We came to a conclusion together, just as we came to be. I personally hope, my now ex teammates, find luck in the teams they decide to join in the future and I wish nothing but the best to them and their new teammates. The day when I decide to either try and revive this, or a team that has once existed on Cardfight Capital, or to start a completely new team that will have different goals than the previous may come one day. But, until then, we, team Xiphoid Flare, bid an adieu to the competetive scene of Cardfight Area and all the teams we've clashed against in the past. Our time has come so that new wonders may emerge. Once again, good luck to my friends in their new teams or solo-fighter life. May you have a good one.

Ex-Leader of Team Xiphoid Flare,

Devour.
