Title: (GS3) Home Field: Ni'ihau Private Estate
Post by: Beryl on October 07, 2015, 05:11:57 PM
Field Status
A private estate on the Hawaiian Island of Ni'ihau, obtained by Satoshi as a gift for an advertising campaign.

Home Fields:
Home Fields are areas where certain player characters reside. To enter them, you must meet specific affinity requirements: 15 or more total affinity with all characters and a certain amount of affinity with residents.

Requirement:
5+ Affinity with Satoshi Kurosaki OR invitation.

What is a field?
A field is an area where events between characters or even individual characters may happen. As replies to these posts, characters may chronicle events that transpire between each other which would often be as a result of or due to a Cardfight. Field events are great ways to develop characters as well as character relationships. Field events, for example, could include a Cardfight as part of a rivalry between two individuals. It can be something as simple as a simple outing or meeting that then leads to a game of Vanguard. Or something that would greatly move the plot, a fight between someone of the heroic affinity and someone of the villainous affinity.

Remember, Cray is looking for the best of the best to be a leader. This does not mean that the leader has to be filled with good intentions, its anyone who the cards seem to decide is fit. Heroes can do as much as they can, but without villains pushing the story forward with their schemes, there isn't much to save. So if you are on the villainous side, use these areas to move along with your plots and schemes. You may ask others to come and roleplay with you and anyone can post in these areas, there is no limit other than that of being logical and simply just being respectful to your fellow fighters.

Any character that you interact with during field events may get affinity +1 or -1 with you.
Certain fields may have special events and things happening there in order to start up some action.

Post events that transpire below based on you character's own perspective, and just have fun with it!
Good luck!

On the island of Ni'ihau, it wasn't very often that one had visitors. Primarily an American military base, the island was privately owned by a prestigious family. One particular plot of land was passed down through the family's successful descendants, so it was rare that one not from the family would own a space. But thanks to Ronald Drump, Satoshi Kurosaki was one of the first in a long time to make that change.

Several months had passed since he had been back. The estate was managed by a local he had hired, Haku. Most everything done in maintaining a garden, receiving flown-in shipments from other islands, general maintenance, etc., was done by this one guy. The trade-off was that Haku lived on the estate permanently per Satoshi's request, in one of the nicest rooms possible. The overseer didn't expect that much, for he was an island native accustomed to tighter spaces and reduced living arrangements, but did not hesitate to take an opportunity provided to him.

Haku and Satoshi had an unquestionable trust. The former spoke little, but when he did, it was simple enough such that the latter understood him. Likewise, the former was patient with the latter's concerns and actions. It was such that, upon his return, Satoshi debated the actual benefits of reversing Haku, and settled on not actually doing so as a result. Someone who spoke little and simply operated per the owner of the estate's request did not especially care what his owner's mental state was as long as it meant he had a roof over his head and work to do. Why influence him any other way?

Seated in an expansive guest room in the hosting chair, seeming akin to that of a throne, the vassal of Nebula Lord rested his face on his knuckles. His return was purposeful. It was time that he brought the despaired to him so he could free them, one by one. Unfortunately, his phone was rather limited in contacts, but he had a feeling that these particular contacts would try and incite action from others, since they were a part of the resistance. The first was a former General, the second a close friend who sought to eradicate the invaders. Seifer Leo and Yugure Espoir. These two would make the game all the more interesting.

He contemplated contacting Sera, knowing he was in control of Haruka's body, but this was a task he wanted little interference with. It was his duty as a General to succeed, so there was no need to have an observer when he knew there was no escape except by his own hand. Acquiring the assistance of the rest of the vassals, on the other hand...well, that would come after he sent his initiations.

First, he opened up a text box with Seifer:

What you said to me on the beach before intrigues me. Through connections, I have a private jet that travels to a remote location in Hawaii. It would be interesting to see what sort of challenge you could pose to your equal in the invasion. You hopefully will not be alone; I am contacting Yugure Espoir as well as a travel companion. Whether you all bring your friends is up to you. I will have several of my own if I can help it.

The ball is in your court.

Satoshi

Sending that off, he scrolled quickly to Yugure and entered a similar mesage:

Chosen Sword, the vassal of Nebula Lord offers you and your friends a last stand before your despair is harvested on behalf of the black rings. I do wish it could be on more reasonable terms that I invite you to my home in Ni'ihau, Hawaii, but nevertheless, this is your chance to try and turn the tide of the war. Otherwise, you may be surprised what happens next. A private jet will arrive in Japan shortly to pick you and Seifer Leo up. Any companions the two of you decide to bring are up to you. I will have associates of my own here to match you.

Show me your resolve.

Satoshi

With both sent off, he rubbed his temples. Next was the more draining part. He touched two fingers to his marked hand, and an intense burn resonated through his body. Wanting to cry out, he clenched and instead attempted to focus his mind to two individuals he would like to show up for this party. Whether they did so or not was voluntary, but there was incentive for them to do so.

First, the easy one. He reached out to the bearer of Freeze Ray. He spoke aloud as though he were talking to someone in the room, but the way he spoke would instead resonate in the head of his fellow vassal. "I am bringing the Chosen Sword and our traitor to my residence. If you'd like to join in on the harvest, I will make arrangements immediately.

The more complicated one was one who was likely to begrudgingly accept. With more intense focus, Satoshi reached out to Noel Kusanagi:

"I am bringing your brother to my residence to harvest. If you are as deadset on reversing him as I felt you to be when I performed my routine check, it would be wise for you to attend the gathering I am having. You may decline, but this may be your last chance to try." He paused briefly, then added: "Also...it would be rather nice to see you again, if I'm being quite honest." As one of similar circumstance in her triad, one who wanted to be as significant as the two lovers, Noel brought out what little emotion remained in him.

With that, he leaned back, panting. That required a lot of effort to pull off. Hopefully, these people would respond to his messages and make their reservations. The private pickups were going to be quite necessary.

Haku leaned against a pillar nearby. "Business?" He tended to speak in single word phrases, though Satoshi had learned, while staying in seclusion here, that his overseer was in fact quite the poet, capable of quoting Shakespeare on a dime.

His boss nodded. "Hopefully our guests enjoy their stay." He wiped some sweat from his brow.

Haku nodded. "I will prepare."

Eventually arriving at the airport, the party gathered themselves and belongings, taking the scheduled jet to Hawaii. Specifically, to the private isle of Ni'ihau. They landed on a port that was built on the edge of the island, Almost immediately, they were all directed and escorted to Satoshi's luxurious resort residence. Yugure took no mind of the sights, focusing on the housing of her best friend. He wasn't kidding about how well he had made it outside of Japan, as it was honestly a gorgeous estate with beautiful scenery all around.

Haku was assigned to be the doorman and guide for the estate. Not exactly the best task to assign someone who spoke so little, but then again, he had been trying to get his boss to hire his brother, Kalei, who was much more amicable and free-speaking, especially to foreigners, to give tours of the estate and maybe make some money on the side as a result. Perhaps someday this would be a reality, but for now...

On schedule, the guests had arrived. Good. The boss would be absolutely thrilled to know this. Although, it would likely surprise them all that this large Hawaiian was not at all under the black rings' influence. Additionally, he hoped in the back of his mind that they were also very impressed with his handiwork. It was quite a lot of work to maintain this residence primarily by yourself, even if some rooms don't necessarily need to be addressed more than once a month.

Most importantly, Satoshi prided his estate's gardens, which he worked alongside Haku in maintaining. While he had been away, the silent overseer had spent a considerable amount of time making sure the crops grew well. Sure, it was equally plausible that his boss could fly in or sail in some food, but it was of his interest as an American agricultural figurehead to maintain his own fields. At least, that would be the businessman logic. Truthfully, it was because farming kept Satoshi's mind off of the struggles of Cray, and because it remained a passion he sought to practice himself. Making his own good food would make his parents proud, even if they perhaps wanted him to be something more.

Haku gazed out at the sheer number of guests. There were quite a lot, and unfortunately, the associates his boss had been expecting never showed. A shame, but nevertheless, hopefully this group would make up for it.

He appeared at the air port a bit later then everyone else due to taking a different plane because he was busy to get the schedule flight. During the past few hours Hikaru's appearance was different, in a good way. His hair is shorter and slender while still spiky at the back and on the left side of his face. He doesn't have his signature gold contacts and instead wearing his black rim glasses and showing his cerulean eyes. His new attire consists of a short white sleeve polo with a long grayish waist coat. Along side with the upper garments is a royal blue coat/jacket Which he rolls up the sleeves up to below the elbows. Hikaru wears a pair of magenta wrist bands. He wears black trousers and now sports a pair of black Knee-high boots.

He called for a taxi and began to make haste to the Kurosaki estate. Thank fully the taxi driver knew where the place is and shouldn't take to long. Hikaru took out his deck and scanned through it, preparing himself for the inevitable battle. The taxi driver annonunced that they arrived. Hikaru paid the bill and got out his luggage which was just a waxed cylinder bag and waved to the taxi driver as he walked up the steps of the estate.

Honestly the place was very nice, though Hana was quite surprised to see two things.

List of things Hana was surprised to see:
1. Water
2. A Farm

Well, first of all, Magallanica was suffering a deep drought due to a certain thirsty individual,  but Hawaii was surprisingly free from the curse of the thirst. Granted, Hana has yet to investigate every single well, coastline, and other bodies of water, but for the most part, this place wasn't suffering from the water shortage which she was expecting. At this point she became worried for the estate owner's well being. Was he drier than a desert right now? Was he able to finally quench his thirst? Does he drink out of a water bottle? If Sathirsty drinks out of a water bottle then that is certainly repulsive! Hana hates water bottles. Ugh. Dumb commercial!

The next thing was the harvesting and the farm.

The joke is on Nebula Lord now. He may have come here to harvest their souls, but Hana wasn't going down without a fight. The Princess sure wasn't going to miss out the chance of harvesting these farm eggs with her own bare hands. Was there a chicken coop? The Princess didn't care, there was a farm setting so there was a chicken coop, even if she was just playing pretend. She went inside the hen house and proceeded to gather all the hens and then take their eggs one by one. She stuffed them into her purse. She made a clone of herself to help out in the egg gathering. It was the chicken apocalypse, there was no next generation chicken. The Princess and her endless wrath had come upon them. It was over for Satoshi, his chicken den was ruined by the Princess. Revenge is sweet, but eggs are even sweeter.

There were so many eggs.

"Hii Hana, how have you been? Are you doing well? Whatever happens, I hope you are okay. I'm doing alright, the nurses haven't found anything to complain at me for doing which is good. Hopefully I can see you soon~

"E-eh, chicken? What are you doing? And you don't have to buy me anything, although I won't complain if you do. Like I said I'm feeling fineee, I've been better obviously but haven't had anything particularly bad happen.

How is Hawaii? Never been there before, are the beaches as good as people say they are? Are the trees everywhere? Do Hawaiins spend all their time at the beach, or do they do other stuff. Are there tons of pineapples?

When are you getting backkkk?

Hana replied hastily:
"I'm watching chickens lay eggs, that is what I am doing. Last time I was here, there was a beach photoshoot thingymabob and it was so Hawaiiian beaches r gr9 wish you were heree. I might check the ones close by here rn. Buttt Sathirsty's farm has a lot of weird things, I'll get you a pinpineapple. He probably has some in his dining hall, I'll take it before I go. I'll see if things here are fine and will head back asap. Dont forget to apply lotion, dry skin is bad :// - Hana Isabella Espoir"

"Better go to the dining hall and steal his pineapples while I'm at it..." Hana thought to herself, holding a chicken. "I'm naming you Olivia."

Hana took the chicken with her too. Onto the dining hall!

Seifer had fallen asleep on the way here, and it had seemed that his sister slept the entire time. Either way, the male now had Noel on his back, piggy back style and was standing next to Yukino glancing around. It seemed pretty nice, but nothing overwhelming. It was weird, he never really did get impressed by really expensive things. In any case, his head turned in Yukino's direction, tilting his head before looking forward. "So... He's the last one... Right?" he asked, looking back at the ivory haired woman that he was standing next to. He had no idea just how many there actually were, even though he knew that he was one himself.

Rosalia slept for most of the fight, having had an exhausting day. At least it kept her from checking her pockets, with which she still held scraps of what used to be cards, emphasis on "used to be". The redhead had checked the scraps occasionally when she woke from her sleep, noting that before, she could still distinguish text from artwork. But now... the scraps were just gray, as if Venus had fully disappeared from them and all that was left of the shredded cards was just an empty shell. Rosalia wondered.. if perhaps that meant something... yet as she checked her deck again, there was nothing more than her Tamer and Reverse forms of Luquier...

Having finally landed in Hawaii, the female remained close to Seifer's side, which in turn kept her near Noel and of course, Yugure. Seeing Seifer now carrying Noel by piggy-back, Rosalia nervously held Yugure's hand, examining her surroundings as she did walked with the little group while her duffle bag remained over her shoulder. "The last.. one?..." she asked, never having quite understood the concept of the generals. She also wanted to ask if this would be a "big fight", but she kept quiet... I should know its going to be a big battle... I-i promised I'd help how I could...

Darren had slept through the flight, much like the others around him. He made sure to do a bit of practice in his dreams simply because he was thinking about his deck and abilities so much that it just happened that way. All the time, he kept the flower given to him close and safe. It didn't seem common and if he was going to give it to Xat later, it had to be in the best condition possible.

When they were finally able to see the estate, Darren couldn't help but whistle out loud at the whole thing. "Pretty fancy place," he said lightly, immediately reminding himself why they were there. Then again, there was no black ring above in the sky. This place was... peaceful. "For the place to take on a Link Joker General, it sure isn't ominous looking. You'd think this really was a vacation." Then again, that wasn't a bad thing, they did have two young children on the trip so having the area be dark and scary wouldn't be good at all.

Hana sat outside on a bench with a pineapple and a chicken, trying to shop for snow globes online. The day for the most part had been relaxing with many visits back to the hen den. Not only that, but she was able to learn a few new lessons such milking cows.

Hana spilled milk somewhere along the estate after milking said cows, but like the saying goes, no use crying over spilled milk. Back to the bench thing. The chicken was named Olivia. Hen or rooster? Better go check later Hana wanted to start her own chicken farm now, heck yeah! She was eating a few pineapple slices to celebrate her successful pineapple theft. The chicken was going "bok bok bok." It was just so relaxing. After that she took one more slice from the pineapple slice bowl then took a bite. She licked her hands to keep from getting sticky and used her power to go check on everyone. Looks like they were all together and fine. Cool.

Then she looked at her hands and they were covered in blood.

"I wouldn't say he's the last one. Remember Link Joker can replace the generals with new ones if the current generals are either unsuitable or have been defeated." Holding onto his cylinder shape bag as he looked at his comrades. To be honest some of them shouldn't even be here. He wasn't questioning their strength rather it was the thought of using this as a sort of vacation that bothered him. Truthfully he was only here to see that they are able to handle the Kurosaki situation and head back to Japan to assist the resistance in the fight against Link Joker.

Body count.

"One... Two...Three... Hmmm... I think there's one over at the bushes?... She's cute..."

Pause.

"...but not as cute as her."

The Princess giggled and laughed, writing all over the grounds of the estate. The grounds were a canvas, her fingers were a brush, and blood was the ink.

Yelling. Squealing.

Nervous laughter.

All across the grounds and walls:
"I'm sorry Miyuki. I'm sorry Miyuki. I'm sorry Miyuki. I'm sorry Miyuki. I'm sorry Miyuki. I'm sorry Miyuki. I'm sorry Miyuki. I'm sorry Miyuki. I'm sorry Miyuki. I'm sorry Miyuki. I'm sorry Miyuki. I'm sorry Miyuki. I'm sorry Miyuki. I'm sorry Miyuki. I'm sorry Miyuki. I'm sorry Miyuki. I'm sorry Miyuki. I'm sorry Miyuki.

Darren turned as Xat got his attention, blinking as he said, "Oh, sure thing." He went to the side, away from everyone so the two of them could talk. He was thinking about giving her the flower now. Maybe this was a good time for it. He wanted to hear what she had to say before doing anything like that, though.

Darren looked at her with a small frown. He hadn't known how bad it was to bring something like that up, but now that he did, he understood what he had done wrong. He felt like a fool for it. He moved his hand to place it onto her head lightly as he moved her hair back and away from her face. He moved the flower into her hair lightly and said, "I'm sorry too... I didn't think about what I was saying and didn't know what that meant to you. It didn't seem bad to me but that's just how I am. The past is the past, but you're here with friends now. That's what we should focus on."

Xat blushed at his touch and reach up to take the flower out and looked at it with wide eyes. "This is such a rare flower and my most favorite. Thank you Darren." She said before replacing it back in her heir and smiled, that rare flower alone shown to her that he is truly sorry. She smiled and without thinking gave him a kiss on the cheek. When she relized what she did she blushed. "I don't know why I did that." she said

Darren's eyes went wide as he blushed from her kiss. He looked away for a moment, then back at her again. "I... Its not like it was bad or anything..." he replied. She was definitely an interesting person. Ready to bite her head off one minute and the next she kisses his cheek. He didn't mind it at all, but it was so different for him. It made him remember that he did still have to fight. There was a Link Joker General here, wasn't there? If he was called to battle, now he would have to do even more.

Leaving the two to their own devices Hikaru precedes to one of the guest rooms of the estate being directed by the butler, Haku to said room. Thanking the butler once more and watching him leave, Hikaru takes off his Blue coat and places it on the bed along with his duffle bag. The room was quite spacious to be a guest room. The blue green walls gave off the feel of the ocean. He takes out a deck from the pocket of his bag and heads to the desk, spreading them out and seperating them by grade. He didn't really have the time to make a truly functional deck. It showed that in his tag fight with his generals. Having to rely on Aoi for a offensive strikes while he Built up on defense.

In that moment Hikaru was then pulled into his mindscape just like what happened to him not to long ago.

<Hikaru's Mind>
The raven haired man opened his eyes as he found himself looking at the same stained glass just below him. It seems his heart updated his image to his current look. That was quite fast. One of the black crown circles lit up with an orange blaze of light. Not unlike fire, he could feel the warmth coming from it. An unyielding spirit that refuses to stand down in midst of battle standing his grand as it raises the morale of his or her comrades. Once the light subsided a miniature Asura Kaiser walked up to the Underground King with its many mechanical arms.

"Sup, Yo. I got my call to shine." Hikaru just stared at the miniature kaiser for one minute before breaking into laughter and held his stomach. Best part about Asura, he was saying this in a squeaky voice that made him sound like someone that hasn't reach puberty. "Hahahahahahahahaha...please..haha...please stop, your killing me..." Hikaru then preceded to laugh once again as the miniature Asura just looked at him and grabbed his hammer, slamming it onto the young man's foot.  Even though this is in the mindscape of Hikaru while it may not affect his physical body. It'll still hurt like hell.

"Yo' fool, Who the hell do yo' think i'am, i'm gotta git straight the fuck up yo' goddamn ass n' tea yo' upside down. I Asura kaisa come wit' a goddamn message from yo' goddamn buddy. r' we funky-ass bruh" Hikaru just looked at the Kaiser again in shock. Oh he understood every little thing he just said. Having grown up with this since his childhood, he can translate every damn thing he said from that foul mouth of his. He's still surprised that a resident of cray, a leader of his clan would say such crude things. Does he always speak like this around his fellow associates or is he just screwing with him? "I ain't messin' yo' the funk up. Alright hommie." Okay he was starting to get a little creeped out but, Asura mentioned a message.

"A message from who?" Hikaru wonder who could it possibly be, he only started recently to open up his heart and before then it was just only Cosmo...OH. "What did he want to say.." Quietly said by the king of the underground. While worried over his Aibou's condition he wanted to know what he left him with. "Dat Blue king had only told me two things. Strike back!" An odd feeling filled Hikaru as he thought about his Aibou. They'll win this war, for his sake. Miniature Asura stabbed his Katana onto the ground as he raises his fist in front of the raven haired man.

"We gotta be in synch Yo! For now on we'd be fighten like neva before" Hikaru smiled as he goes for a fist bump with the Miniature Asura and then was drag back into his quest room by the same blue light.

His eyes snapped open as he stretches his arms out. Hikaru grabs one of the Asura cards and looks at it. However the card glowed in a luminescent orange light. Sprouting out 4 copies of Asura. Except the Asuras looked more defined and his parts were new and refined. His weapons looked sharper and deadlier. It was simply immortal...Immortal Asura Kaiser. With these hands, he'll take back everything.

Noel was being carried by Seifer the entire time since they left from Rijuku and after arriving to Hawaii. The mental and physical strain from being Reversed was far too great for her body to handle that when she got Unreversed, Noel's body shut down on her due to all of the fatigue rushing through like a raging river breaking through a cracked dam.

"Ugh... my head... it hurts a lot and my body... did I get slammed by a truck or something...? Huh.... where in the world am I and why is Seifer carrying me" Noel was completely lost and confused as to what is going on. Her memory of being Reversed was gone at the moment so the only thing she remembered was searching for Rosalia. Now suddenly being in Hawaii brought her great confusion. Why were they in Hawaii when there is a Reverse Apocalypse back home?

Darren still had a small blush on his face from Xat's kiss to his cheek before he heard a familiar voice. He turned and saw Noel, happy to see that she was up and better. Though to ask so many questions must meant that she didn't remember much if anything about the Reverse. That seemed to be what happened to most people, so it wasn't strange.

"Hey Noel. Glad you're back with us." He was more excited than that to see she was alright, but in a place like this he didn't want to show it too much. They were probably in enemy territory, or at least that was what Yugure said to them. Besides, if she really didn't remember the Reverse, getting hysterical would probably freak her out more. "Oh... Noel, this is Xat. She's my... my friend." For some reason, saying that was hard as he almost said she was more, but it was much too soon to say anything like that.

Rosalia, while waiting for an answer from Seifer or Yugure, glanced up to see Noel had awoken.. while still being carried by piggy-back by Seifer. "O-oh~ Hi Noely. Um... So, we're in Hawaii for uh... apocalypse reasons, and you were really drained of energy so Seifer carried you all the way here?..." the redhead answered, or sort of answered. She wasn't exactly sure what to say, quite honestly, more because she didn't know how much Noel would remember... Rosalia remembered when she first woke from being Un-Reversed, she didn't know what happened either... until she saw Luquier Reverse still in her deck. Thinking about it, the female glanced to Seifer and then to Noel again. Seifer made sure Noel still had her deck, last time she checked, but she wondered if Noel's Reverse unit remained like Luquier did... Rosalia, still holding Yugure's hand with one of her's, reached her free hand into her pocket, playing lightly with the grayed scraps of what used to be cards. "You feeling okay?... Maybe you should try and relax some..."

"Back? You made it sound like if I was gone for a long time..." Noel's memory was still hazy. Not matter how many times she tried recalling what happened in between the time she went to search for Rosalia and now. It was almost like if she lost that period of time from her life. It was scary to think about but Noel stayed calm and thought that maybe everything will come to her mind if anything did happened in that "lost time."

"Huh? Well, hey new person. I am Noel Kusanagi, I am a Royal Paladin user, mainly the Jewel Knights. I must of been out for a while if there is a new person here." What... happened to me? The thought of not remembering when she normally had a good memory of things bothered her a lot. Best thing to do in these types of situations is to just simply accept things for how they are. If there really is an answer, they will come to in time.

She then looks at Rosalia who heard her ask why they were there. I guess someone ended up finding her after all... but... why do I feel like I was the one... "Apocalypse reasons? Seriously? In Hawaii? I mean, look at this place, how is there an apocalyptic reason in a paradise like this? And I was out of energy? From what? What happened to me?" Now Noel was concerned, she can't remember what it was that caused her to be out of energy. "Of course not! I don't remember anything!"

Darren honestly didn't know the full story of what happened to Noel, so he wasn't one to ask. Though her hysteria was what he was trying to prevent before. He moved his finger to his head lightly as a sign of what he was going to say and said, "I was talking about how long you were asleep. Took almost a day to get here and you slept through the whole trip. As for not remembering, I don't know what happened completely. You might've hit your head or something. Last question was about being here, right? Apparently there's a General guy here and we're gonna take him down. The nice island view is just a bonus."

Xat smiled and looked around glad yo see mikalea not far. "Jewel Knights huh? They must look pretty." She said to Noel before looking at Seifer. "Its nice to see you again. We never got introduced My name is Xateramusa." She said introducing herself to him before waving at Rossaila.
At Darrens exsplantion and sying there is a general made up her mind tonight when everyone is sleeping she will sneak out, find the general and secretly follow him back to his hidout.

Rosalia scratched the back of her head, frowning some at Noel's reaction. Granted, the redhead herself wanted to know at first what she had forgotten when first waking from her reversed state... But part of her didn't want to have Noel go through the pain of remembering like she had. Especially when, chances are, Noel would remember Rosalia being the one to reverse her... Or worse, ripping up Venus in front of her... "N-Noely, relax... Please?... It'll be alright, I promise... Darren is kinda right. You probably hit your head, and maybe that gave you a bit of amnesia or something..."

No... It felt so wrong to lie... Rosalia waved to Xat in return before looking down, not wanting to continue explaining things to Noel at the moment. Maybe... Maybe she could have a little alone time with the other female once they split up or something to find the General. Then... Then she could tell Noel the truth... And hopefully it would help that the redhead was reversed as well. She went through the pain of it all, so she could at least do something right with her avatar currently in shreds...

Darren gave a small yawn of boredom before he stretched his arms. He turned from the door and said, "Well, as nice as it is to stare at a gate all of this time, I'm gonna check into a hotel. Someone can bill this guy for making us wait. Looking at the place, he's definitely good for it." He saw that Rose was worried so having a place to rest would be good for her. Noel was the same, giving her a place to lay her head would help more than having her stay here and wait. Besides, they did still have two children with them. He started to walk away, allowing anyone who wanted to follow the ability to do so since he wasn't moving particularly fast.

Haku sighed. They had sat there for what felt like hours because nobody on either end had thought to maybe, y'know, question the guy standing at the front door. No, instead, most of them were standing behind the front gate and assuming it was locked. Why would it be locked if the boss knew he was going to have guests? On top of that, a young woman had dashed in that very gate and taken eggs and pineapples before leaving. Was it not blatantly obvious after that happened that the whole point was to come up and interact, having him lead them to where they needed to be?

He shook his head. No matter. Even if some of them left, as long as Seifer Leo and Yugure Espoir were still around, that was all that was truly necessary. He overheard one of the group spit some venom about having to wait and that he was going to go find a hotel.

Too bad he was on the wrong Hawaiian island for that. Ni'ihau was privately owned and the only other places to note on the island were other private estates and a U.S. Navy training facility. Nothing else. No hotels, no restaurants, no stores, nothing.

Surely he'd figure that out eventually, though.

He lumbered over and opened the gate without any real issue and spoke flatly. "You were expected. Gate was already open. Come."

Ever since arriving, time was spent with casual talk and interactions and some interests? For Haruto it was more of observations, he was generally quiet until he found a good time to talk and have some fun, but for now he spent his moments admiring the large estate in front of the group. He did want to say 'hi' to Noel but he felt like after the amount of rest she took she would not be able to focus enough to remember him properly.

"..Woah...this place is huge...so what's next you guys?" asked Haruto, as he looked back at everyone.

Nebula Lord? Haku didn't actually know who Nebula Lord was, but apparently it was some sort of title associated with his boss? Maybe? Who knows. He wasn't really that interested in pressing further.

"Very well." He gestured with his hand to the door, which he proceeded to open. "Down the hall, third room on the left."

Darren rushed to the Estate once again. This time, the door was open. Quite the convenience. It was better than what they had to deal with before this point to say the least. Now that's more like it. Looks like things are already about to begin.

We're not to late to help out.

This way, we shouldn't have to do anything illegal.

Darren walked up to the gate, walking quickly to catch up to Yugure. He wanted to see things through to the end. Besides, he had yet to see a general in action... outside of the Chaos Breaker incident. If he was to fight one eventually, he needed to know as much as he could.

"Hey, Yuki I'm here too!"

Yugure didn't even hear Darren as her mind focused on itself on the task at hand. Walking inside, she rushed down the hall. Once again, the paladins steeled themselves for this. Dealing with an old friend that had been lost to the invaders was usually heart-aching... usually. For this soldier, there was nothing like that. First, she would save her friend, then, the Star-vaders would be burdened with the loss of another commander. Armed with cold resolution, the woman's hand beat on the designated door.

Banging on the door assuming it was locked was really starting to get old. The door swung open easily, as though they were expected to arrive, which should've been obvious by now.

Satoshi sat on that big chair of his, still resting his chin on his hand. His guests had finally arrived. "Glad to see you could show up. The plane trip was smooth, I'm assuming?" He shrugged. "Not that it matters that much."

As Darren followed Yugure, he looked in the doorway to see that it was... Satoshi? He had fought Satoshi once before and Hana said he was a part of the War of Liberation. It would only make sense someone like that would be a general if he was a part of Link Joker, but how could they get him to begin with?

Darren crossed his arms, wanting to remain quiet as he was obviously the odd one out. This was Yugure's battle and Satoshi seemed to be alone. If nothing else, he could provide backup support in case something went wrong. Worst came to worst, he would know how Satoshi fought if he had to step in for any reason at all... but it really shouldn't come to that if its Yugure.

Seifer followed quietly after setting Noel down. Something was bugging him but he just couldn't place his finger on it. In any case as Yukino had sped down the hallway, he quickened his pace to keep up with her, staying several paces behind. She seemed to take this burden upon her self and while he wanted to help lighten it, he knew he couldn't. She'd just refuse and he knew better than to argue right now. It didn't mean that he wasn't going to be there to support her though.

Knocking on someone's door before entering was common courtesy.

"Release my friend and I may show mercy", was the first thing that came out of Yugure's mouth. She wasn't really going to show mercy, but she could possibly murder Nebula Lord less if Satoshi was given back safely. The Sword of Courage was summoned in hand just to put emphasis on the threat. While this was a battle she wouldn't let Darren or Seifer interfere with, she would at least have them seal off any methods of escape. The girl was angry, but still calculating. She'd not be a worthy war general otherwise.

Noel was finally put down and looked at the estate now with a better view. She saw Darren and Seifer go after the girl she met when they were all gathered at Seifer's house. There was no point in standing there trying to piece things together. All that mattered was that this place was related to one of the final confrontations with the Reverse invasion. Noel held her deck that was placed on her hip and felt a new power there. Looking at the deck, she noticed a new card in it. Sprout Jewel Knight, Camille. Noel had no idea where the card came from but it was there and she felt the unit's eagerness to help out. It had a cheerful vibe to it and is probably the new knight she was told about in her dream.

Let's follow, we can be of some help to them. It was the voice of Salome who she met in that dream.

"Maybe doing so can bring back my memories of what happened before coming here!" With a goal in mind, Noel went inside to go with Darren and Seifer who were up ahead.

Xat smiled softly before looking at Mikalea. "I shall be back. I'm going to find more infor on the generals." She wispered to him and once she knew he was in a safe spot went to get more info.

"We should find something on a computer." Shriayuki told her, and with that in mind xat sneaked off to find the office.

It took a little bit but she finally found one, and began to hack into the computer to find out who all the generals are. Shirayuki decided to send out Shijimaru to keep an eye on the room to warn them if anyone is coming.

Haku was at work on surveillance now, given that one girl that had gone and stolen some things from the estate. Preventing further trouble would make the guests' purpose here linear unless the man of the house stated otherwise. He noticed one of the party members had gone off to try and hack a computer to get information. He shook his head. Nope, sorry, suspicious activity could not stand.

He hit the power breaker to the office, shutting down all the electricity in the room. "No trespassing," he muttered under his breath.

---

Satoshi laughed. "Don't play games with me, Chosen Sword. 'I may show mercy' is a bunch of garbage. I know your goal is to eradicate the Star-vaders from existence. Lying to me isn't going to get you any further success." He got up off his throne and sauntered forward with a gesture. "If anything, you should just say, 'I'm here to slay you, foul beast!', or some cliche stuff like that. It'd be lame as all hell, but at least you wouldn't be lying to my face."

He gazed over the group, noticing Noel was unreversed and that the bearer of Freeze Ray was nowhere to be found. He frowned. Disappointing. They were going to be the prime forms of entertainment, watching Seifer squirm as he fought his sister, and forcing one of the other guests to fight Freeze Ray. But all of that was taken care of, and it did make his experience a lot less entertaining.

Then again...he shrugged and chuckled. "Besides, I don't really see why you're so keen to get rid of me. Without me and a few others, this war wouldn't be a thing. You wouldn't get to fight evil like you always want to do, every single time, Yugure." He shook his head. "Wouldn't it be ironic if the people you're trying to get rid of just want a place to stay?" His look hardened. "While it is the case that the Star-vaders want nothing but a hostile takeover at this point, it is only because these clans of Cray reacted so negatively to our arrival. We simply wanted a place to stay, and instead, we are attacked as the invaders we are claimed to be."

He turned away and walked back towards his chair. "So we harvested them. Many of the clans realized that their despair of wanting nothing to do with us would only make us stronger and overwhelm them faster." He waved a hand casually. "We've even managed to hit the most notable clans of Cray at this point, if you haven't already experienced it. Ashlei of Royal Paladin, Dragonic Overlord of Kagero...magical, honestly." He sat and showed his mark. "And there's plenty more to go as long as I have the powers of the black rings on my side of the table."

Satoshi smirked. "Remember, Yugure. A year and a half ago, Gold Paladin came into existence as the formation of the leftover Royal and Shadow Paladins due to the loss of their great leaders. And all I ever experienced during most of that time was you rejecting those Paladins and pining for your old friends back, as though this clan could never replace them. Yet now, here you are, and that clan is still by your side. You accepted new friends." The smirk turned to a frown. "So why eradicate a chance for new friends?"

Xat saw the power get shut off and frowned this wasn't part of the plan but she sliently smirked. "Clever but not clever enough." She said and called back Shijimaru before walking to the door and sighing. "So much for finding info on the generals at least I got some info." She said and went over to the window and jumping down from the room to the ground. She then walked back to the party, and caught up to one of the fighters. "Hey  were is Yugure?" She asked them. SHe had to find yugure and give her the info she found out.

"Friends?! You people want to make friends by converting and killing everyone?!"

Yugure was incredibly furious. Sure, she was most definitely here to slaughter him, and her suggestion at "possibly" sparing his life was a lie. However, the most insulting thing was the notion that Link Joker wanted a place to stay and be friends. After what the veteran has seen, it was the opposite.

"I don't always want to fight evil, you think I enjoy this?! You think I enjoy facing off against the odds while seeing people around me suffer and die?!"

The woman slammed her fist into the wall behind, expressing her seething rage at such a thought. Constantly tired and exhausted while having lost any functions an everyday human could enjoy... The invaders took that. A year ago, Schwarzschild Dragon had already stolen it away. And they only laugh and sneer at humanity. Heinous cackling from people like The Clown who enjoy this bloodbath. Her fist was clenched tighter, with a hateful gaze of swords aimed at the Star-vader.

"And don't talk like you know Satoshi's actual thought process!" The girl roared at his statement about her rejecting Gold Paladin. "The only thing I rejected of them was that they couldn't replace my old friends. And my old friends could not replace my new ones! You hideous demons spew this idiocy of companionship and co-existence, but your first act on Cray was sealing away three heroes!"

Never, never, never would she ever believe in Link Joker having hearts.
Title: Re: (GS3) Home Field: Ni'ihau Private Estate
Post by: Beryl on October 11, 2015, 07:14:54 PM
Satoshi laughed again. "I don't know what you're talking about, Yugure. We didn't seal your precious friends. The Star-vaders have nothing to do with that at all." He shook his head. "And if the Clown wasn't a cold-blooded killer freak of nature, there would be none dead. Only harvested. Killing is pointless when you could simply rule despaired hearts."

He stared hard at her sword glare with his own black ring marked eyes. "If I thought you didn't enjoy this, I'd take sick, sick pleasure in harvesting you. Despair is a beautiful thing, after all. But you're the exact opposite of that." He stabbed an accusatory finger at her. "Then again, what would I know from someone who does nothing but practice and hone her skills for her destiny without considering those around her and the fear of them disappearing? What would I know for someone who was away for so long, her most trusted companion, her lover, cheated on her without a real second thought until it was too late?"

He slammed his fist against the arm of the chair. "You think you're some kind of hero, but really, you've only hurt people by closing your heart to them."

Xat after getting info to were Yugure went to the place and over heard what Satoshi was saying and frowned at his words. She then steped into the room. "Sometimes people have to harden there heart and distance themselves to protect them, even though they might get hurt about them leaving, even if they have to regret later. You hone your skills so that you can face whatever is to come, so you can protect your love ones, and keep them safe from harm.  She said to Saitoshi as she placed a hand on Yugure's shoulder. "The fact that she has others staning behind her and with her shows that they are not all that hurt as you make them to be. She said with a glare in her eye.

"Are you saying the Star-vaders and Schwarzschild are somehow different? That just because he isn't in your division, you monsters are beyond what he did that started all of this? Ridiculous... You either want to rule over us or kill us, your entire clan!"

Some seal, some kill, some harvest. It was still under what everything the Chosen Sword had been announcing before: Link Joker is violently taking them. Either by death or Reverse. The swords and black rings in eyes were practically a battle in itself, both sides giving no quarter to the other, and their personal fight hadn't even begun yet. While making it a point to show she won't believe Nebula Lord sugarcoating the invasion, she was still going to defend herself from his slander.

"This isn't about destiny. It stopped being about destiny when I fought Jellal for the last time in the past to end the civil war. The Chosen Sword had a duty to protect both worlds and destroy evil - but I no longer care for that. Because I failed before. I fight for the same purpose, but not because I was born to do it. I don't choose to be a hero because it's in my blood. I choose to do so because I want to and have to put in a hand toward saving everyone.

I was gone and came back to deserving betrayals due to having left. That is correct, but I don't have time to wallow in self-loathing. If those I love would hate me and wish death upon me, fine, but I will not see them die or harvested if I can help it.

And I can do more than help it."

Xat wasn't too far off the mark, but Nebula Lord spoke truth in the fact that her departure may have caused damage to those who didn't know or come with. Despite this, the Chosen Sword found her own heart to be irrelevant to others. It was only a bleeding mechanism that fueled drive. Though closed off, all she needed it for was to give her burning motivation to protect and save people. Yes, this was one of the truths of her self-hatred. A failure who decided to cast aside what was expected of the Espoir Scion. All that mattered is what the woman herself desired.

That was to see everyone else live.

Satoshi decided to ignore Xat, since he had received word, through his surveillance earpiece, that she had been messing with his stuff in his office. He'd deal with her later.

"To label us all is to misunderstand. After all, that would imply that our group is hiveminded and lacks individual thought." He smirked. "I discovered the being I was bonded to in order to enact my protocol, Cheru, is quite the opposite. Some Star-vaders wish we did not come off as heartless. But, unfortunately, those ones are not in charge, nor do they have the chance to be as long as we exist."

He closed his eyes for a moment, and reopened them to be unmarked. The real Satoshi had something to add, if just briefly.

"We had dinner once, and you gave me the cold shoulder like interacting with one of my closest friends was pointless. I just wanted to be able to do something with you guys again since I was back, but it was all 'mission' this and 'training' that." He shook his head. "I feel like I don't even know the Snow Flower and Blazing Sun anymore. That they're just distant memories who want nothing more to do with me. That's why..."

The eyes remarked themselves as Nebula Lord took over. "That's why, in the end, it was easy to take him over. His suffering and despair is the most pure I've felt in a long time. Someone who feels like he's failed the world and can't recover...the perfect suicidal vassal to kill off if he fails, don't you think?"

He raised his marked fist again, rings glowing. The room around them began to distort into a spacial void. "So we may as well make this quick, should we not?"

Noel just stood there listening to the conversation trying to piece everything together. Then she heard Satoshi mention that Ashlei was taken and Reversed. Could... could it be...? It then hit her, all the memories of the "lost time" came rushing into her mind like a raging river. Noel held her head and fell to her knees from the headache it was causing her. "I... I was... Reversed... I... I remember everything..." All the atrocities she has done to innocent fighters, her brutal and cold heart showing no mercy to those Noel beat in a cardfiight. Enjoying their suffering when they were being Reversed. She couldn't believe that she did all of that. Noel's dad would be proud of her but this isn't something to be proud of. What she hated so much was what Noel became, the Kusanagi heir that her father wanted for her to become. Hurting Rosalia and destroying her avatar, Venus Luquier. An ordinary person wouldn't be capable of carrying all the horrible things on their shoulders but Noel had to try despite having tears flow down her eyes.

I am sorry that you had to see all of that. What you saw is the truth of the time you cannot recall. I promise you with my life, that you will not go through that anymore... Salome said in a sad tone, she felt just as guilty for not knowing where her Vanguard was or what happened to her.

Noel wanted to make things right, to redeem herself from all the horrible acts she has commited to the fighters in Rijuku and for the ones she cares for the most, the people she trusts. Which is why she feels it is necessary to use all her power as a Kusanagi for the greater good. The weakness known as Link Joker must be purged from the world.

"Pathetic... just because you were ignored. Just because of that you let yourself be taken over by Link Joker?! My father would of died from laughter if he heard your sad story. We will make sure to beat the weakness out of you!" Noel cleaning her face from her tears, got up and stood next to Yugure, ready to help in with any fighting if necessary.

Darren glared at the words he was saying. Trying to find a place to stay? If that was the case, they didn't have to use Daiyusha and the others as puppets for their own reasons. Even if they needed a place of their own, they wanted this one to be only theirs. There was no excuse for that. They also mentioned a unit he hadn't heard of at all. Swartzchild Dragon? What in the world was that. Daiyusha made a note of it when it was mentioned.

That was the unit that began all of this on Cray long ago.

It makes sense that it wasn't a Star Vader, what with the name and all. Is he trying to act like he's not associated with it at all?

Darren didn't know if that was the case. He didn't know a lot of things. All he knew was that Satoshi wasn't being himself. And Xat was right, Yugure had nothing to regret from all of this. People were here with her and that was enough to say that she was doing nothing wrong. His hand was to his deck. So badly did he want to silence this Joker himself, but he knew this was Yugure's fight. This was what they must do. Link Jokers get into your head and distort it to make you do things you should not. It was clear why they needed to be stopped. "Whatever you try to say, there's no way you can justify harming all the people who've been in the backlash of this battle! You Star Vaders aren't going to be allowed to do whatever you want to our minds and worlds!"

"... Satoshi, if you can still hear me, then listen to this."

Yugure took a deep breath as the room began to distort.

"Yukino Espoir is dead and never coming back."

She would make sure the snow queen of unparalleled arrogance who set herself up to fail would forever remain decreased.

"However, while I must apologize for our dinner, I will break apart the shackles of co-dependency that dragged you down. I will bring you back, and have you realize your own merit. Believing you failed the world... if you did, the answer is the same as mine: is still a step forward for you. Recovery will come, and suffering will end. This 'Cheru' leech that forcefed nonsense will be detached by our hands."

This was idiotic.

Star-vaders, the forces without the title, Link Joker didn't have a heart. This new being that clouded judgment was going to be severed, and a friend would be returned. Yugure was practically claiming possession of property, demanding everything that had been stolen. The queen's anger was not wavering, and instead, even more fueled by Nebula Lord's lasting presence.

The Liberators stood ready, and Ezel placed an astral hand on his best friend's shoulder, giving off his readiness as well.

Xat closed her eyes before opening as she took out her deck. "Yugure your not alone, you have us here and beside you. We will win and we will get your friend back." She told Yugure before adressing Satoshi. "We will defeat you and your generals, your plan to take over our world will fail. I already got all the info on the locations before your guy switched off the power. Your plan will fail." Was all she said to him, and was glad that Darren, and Noel were there as well.

Just because Yugure wanted nobody to understand her broken heart didn't mean she understood other people. This fight showcased that, the Liberators combating the Invaders. A battle of never letting the other on four damage commenced, doing everything in their power to ensure the other couldn't break into full power. The Star-vaders were lords of suppression, especially led by Nebula Lord. Even if he hit four, he could hold the Chosen Sword down for as long as necessary.

"Draw your swords...... We shall show mercy upon those in despair!"

This is what Nebula Lord probably commanded, given his stance. Link Joker had a wonderful matchup against Gold Paladin, never allowing them a move once the locks began. As Satoshi's streak of devilish luck would have it, he was set to Break Ride for Nebula Lord's most destructive turn.

He kept trying to talk to her, however. Both of them.

An insult, she thought of it. The Cyber Dragon was trying to console her? To say the weaker self shouldn't be rejected? He'd love to harvest her, yet, Satoshi's words were pouring out. They really were trying to justify the existence of Yukino Espoir. Someone people wanted, a failure that several accepted, part of this "world" of Satoshi's that would shatter should her death truly be confirmed. Even knowing all of this, Yugure responded with venom. Hearing the Star-vader try to preach was bad enough, however, hatred for the past overflowed. "Cancerous scum", "heinous creature", there was nothing good to say about the snow queen of another time. She is a weak, miserable being who could not find any strength or solace, thus wallowing in despair when all was thought lost.

Then, he said something she already knew.

The hearts of Yugure and Yukino are the same.

"And that is exactly why I can't forgive myself!" The soldier screamed, speaking of how these two entities will always be one person. A fact that was loathed to the very core. Never would this past be erased, not once would she forget it. Yugure existed to take Yukino's place, and pick up where the useless queen left off. Yes, a world for everyone to stand together without suffering. Happiness for her would never last for more than a moment, so she could at least make sure everyone else's lasts for a lifetime.

Nebula Lord locked all of her rearguards at once for a massive Limit Break turn. It was to show how Satoshi felt - how Yukino failed to help him, and how Yugure helped him feel. Alone. A kind of loneliness the foul demon dragon took advantage of, as the being itself stated before. Everything to Yugure was business or a mission. Honestly, he wasn't too far off the mark either. This woman underwent some kind of rebirth that left her designed for war. "Friendship" was another mission.

But then he said getting to know Yugure, who hates Yukino, would be fine.

No, she took it as "settling". Everyone wanted that brainless snob of a woman back. But they wouldn't have her back, they wouldn't have a cancerous leech back.

That was why "Yugure" would take him up on his offer regardless, to let Satoshi settle with this woman who will make things right. Starting with bringing him back.

Truly, this was a victory, the first Gloria between them all against a general even (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=770owe9NRPs). Satoshi knew the next card to appear would be one summoned by Yukino and Yugure - one that represents the two. And naturally, he was correct. Grand Ezel Scissors was drawn. The counter to the invaders showed itself, ready to fulfill her wish. Honestly, the woman still wanted to be rid of her past, but not her friends. Not Haruka, not Hana, not Satoshi, not Ezel, not Ahmes, not Yunos, not anybody. That led to the Nation Saving Lion being ridden. The tide of battle was turned instantly, as every single lock was undone immediately, reviving the tenacious souls. This new life breathed into those sent into a slumber was the signal of counterattack, and a way of showing that Satoshi wouldn't be alone again.

"'Ah, but you fools! You can do nothing without your allies!' is what you're going to say next", Ezel sneered before the unlocks.

This, too, was part of Jojo's- err, his plan.

This same brilliant warmth that Gancelot and Alfred emitted, the kind Ahmes could create in the hearts of others, this hero was also able to shower all in it. Standing behind the lion Vanguard, his power skyrocketed, and gained a Critical for good measure. Anything Star-vader would do... he would undo it as long as he still stands. Ezel's power stood unrivaled, and his decisive might crashed into Nebula Lord, resulting in the sixth damage check of Satoshi's end. The game was over, and the vile, cyber titan had been toppled. Victorious, triumphant cries rang throughout the Sanctuary. Though the Heart Lock on Kurosaki wouldn't be broken easily, his divine Holy Dispel Scissors roared otherwise. Those scissor weapons clamped down and repeatedly snipped away at the black ring, completely shattering it.

Another spell was broken.

Ahmes happily looked upon the cheering Paladins, and suddenly felt Yugure synchronize with him once again (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bp0nPdJNZ7o). While everyone was happy, she still had work to do. The warrior started with a slow pace, walking toward the commander who was struggling to rise again. He wasn't dead.

Not yet.

"Yugure..." Ezel called out, knowing what was going to happen next. The Ace of Light combined with his Vanguard shot forward like a bullet, slamming into the Cyber Dragon's chest. Howling with rage, Yugure began the terrifying process of tearing him apart. Dashing all about him, the sword of courage ripped through his structure. Bits of the machine broke apart in the combo's flurry, being destroyed from the left, then the right in a flash, and struck back down into the earth at the back. The Liberators watched in awe, the Revengers gazed in shocking praise, the Jewel Knights stared with fear and disapproval. This violent hatred was beyond what the majority of them understood, seeing the Chosen Sword rend the general apart. Screams echoed throughout, both hers and Nebula Lord's. Hissing roars of agony from a being that wasn't supposed to know what it was like to "feel".

It sure felt pain.

They all would.

Every last one of them.

I'll kill them all!

She just... wouldn't stop... Even if Nebula Lord could withstand such torture, even if he was already dead, the sword kept flying. Ahmes, Yunos, and Ezel understood clear as day from the beginning how much their vanguard despised these beasts. Ahmes, internally, worried for her mental state. As did Ezel. However, Yunos watched knowing that this kind of wrath is something they needed. A reason to continue standing against odds after being beaten senseless. More than just protecting people, he believed she had that. This was proof. For what seemed like hours on Cray, the corpse of the Star-vader was mangled mercilessly. The pacing of the beating finally slowed, leaving a panting killer atop it. Not a single shred of remorse was felt, hopping off of the shell.

She left Ahmes after that.

The Swordsman of Light was sweating, gripping at his chest. This raw image and emotion left him out of breath.

Alfred closed his eyes.

"Nebula Lord Dragon has been defeated."

Yugure opened hers in reality, giving off unsteady gasps for air.

"Welcome... back... Satoshi."

Xat smiled at Yugure victory and was even felt more happyness when she saw Saotoshi back ot normal. "Oh ya here is a list of were all the generals are." She handed thme a sheet of paper. She then looked at Noel, then back at Yugure. "We will get through the darkness of our past together with each other and all our friends." She told the 2 ladys. Being with the group helped change Xat for the better, and she was glad for it.

Even before the fight, Seifer felt... on edge. Why? He didn't really know. He just didn't feel comfortable. Something was eating away at him mentally. What was it? He tried to grasp it, tried to figure it out... but the fight drew his attention, breaking his grip on whatever it was. The fight just mostly seemed like a blood bath waiting to happen. And so that's what seemed to happen. The whole idea of how Yukino, who continued to call herself Yugure, acted and went during the fight seemed... Off to Seifer, the brunette growing worried and somehow tired.. Why was he tired? His head started to hurt as well, the male leaving well before the end of the fight, just stumbling around the estate. His mind was swimming and he couldn't see straight. And after wandering for what felt like ever, he passed out... away from the eyes of everyone.

Satoshi fell back from the field. Grand Ezel Scissors had come, right on cue. It was a lucky guess, but Ezel's resonance with Yugure was unmistakable. The strikes against Nebula Lord were intense, doing a number on his soul, but the beast was gone.

---

As he fell back, his mind wandered to Cheru, who was fading.

"Cheru...I'm sorry, I can't just..."

The hooded girl simply shook her head and smiled back. "The Star-vaders aren't welcome . It's okay, darlin'. We appreciate that you tried." She wiped her eye a bit, tears forming. "I appreciate it for sure."

Satoshi closed his eyes. "Maybe someday you guys will come back as non-Star-vaders, and then...then things will be okay..."

"It'll take some time, but eventually, maybe." Cheru moved over to him as she was nearly fully faded, and placed a light kiss on his forehead. "Still, thank you...for everything...I'll try to see you soon if I can..."

"You do that." Satoshi smiled as his other inner self faded from existence.

---

Haku stood at the door, crossing his arms and staring at the results of the situation. Things had happened that he was aware of; something had most definitely been wrong with his boss, but it was not his place to question it, which is why it took this group to solve it. Thankfully, his boss was freed of the influence. Good. Now to clear up something.

He gripped the woman's shoulder that he saw in his boss's office, trying to steal legitimate information. "Information you found was off of a Navy computer regarding the locations of American generals. For your sake, I would forget what you saw, or you could be pinned an international criminal."

"He's...not lyin', you know..." Satoshi leaned up off the ground, brushing himself off. Nebula Lord expelled from his body, he was pretty much back to normal. Well, almost. His hand remained marked, but when he touched it with his fingers, it felt cool and not painful at all. It was like the rings were a tattoo now, a reminder of what had been. It was painful to look at, but if it wasn't something that would simply fade upon his liberation at the hands of Yugure, then he would atone.

He walked over to Xat and showed the marked hand. "When Nebula Lord contacted people, it was via a hivemind link used by sending messages while touching these rings. He didn't actually know where they were, and as far as I could tell, his plans were well-thought out. He wouldn't just leave information out on a computer somewhere if there was an easier, more incognito system." He shrugged. "Like my pal Haku said, you should probably forget what you saw there. The Navy's already gonna kill me when they find out I have a connection to their database because I share an island with 'em."

He turned to Noel and Darren, specifically walking to Noel and directing his response to her. Seifer was nowhere to be found, he'd get back to him later. "You're right, in a way, that I was pathetic in letting this take me over. I was marked over a year ago; it was beyond my control and a lot of circumstances led to my reversal." He looked down. "Of course, that doesn't mean I don't regret everything. I do. So many areas taken over, harvested, mainpulated because I had this power..." He looked up to her and smiled, putting a light hand touch to her shoulder. "So I'm hoping that over time, I can make it up to all of you in any way I can."

Now, for Yugure. She was hunched and panting from the intense strikes she had given Nebula Lord. For her, a person who told him that one of his best friends was no more...Satoshi helped her up, then hugged her tight. His savior still cared, even if her words did not give that impression, and he had to respect that as best he could. In such a way, Yukino would live on, but as the soldier Yugure was certain she should be.

"Thank you...Yugure..." He laid his head against the back of her neck and gave a slight smile. "I know you hate nicknames, but I have a new one..." He closed his eyes.

"Spring Blade. The sword that brings life to those who think they are dead."

Darren was amazed to see the battle, the power of Link Joker and what they could do. He didn't like how Yugure was acting either, practically putting her humanity to the side just so she could fight. Still, in the end she seemed to understand that was wrong, if only a little. Now that the battle was done he felt a wave of darkness leave the room. Satoshi had come back. While Darren didn't outright call Link Joker or even Satoshi himself pathetic for falling to Link Joker, unable to do so considering he did first, he did still feel that the Star Vader needed to be dealt with, and it was.

"Glad you're out of it Satoshi," He said, after seeing him pour his heart out to Yugure he couldn't help but feel like he understood him more. Maybe the Reverse helped to reveal hidden parts of people, bringing them out. There had to be something redeeming in that. "By the way Yuki, I really gotta say you're a lot better as a general then as an emotionless sword. I dont know what the past mistakes you were talking about are, but you're still the Yuki that saved Satoshi. After all, a sword can only do what its told, and you're a lot better than that."

He then turned to Noel, knowing that the entire experience did stir her memories. He didn't know what happened but her reactions before the fight were more than enough to say she had a hard time. She wasn't alone in that. He smiled to her lightly, wanting to say they were one step closer to getting things back to normal now, but it was already implied.

Yugure found herself... rather happy with what she did. Not just saving Satoshi, but killing a commander... yes, it was cathartic. Sweet release, almost as if similar to spending a night with Haruka. This pent up fury was let loose, and the queen nearly let herself take insane delight in it before Satoshi grabbed her. That's right... she did this for her friend first and foremost. Returning the embrace, silent apologies were conveyed. Knowing that the person he actually saw as a comrade first is gone... and how she wouldn't let them back... This was a selfish thing to others. A task that had to be done, however, as Yukino Espoir only serves as dead weight. "Spring Blade..." an embarrassing title given again. He was fond of them though, so fine, she'll let it pass. The woman was just happy to have one of her best friends back.

Ezel was almost a little jealous.

The Chosen Sword told him to lighten up, like he should with his hair.

"No, never", he rejected. His glorious mane is forever. Still, they got a laugh out of it.

Darren shared his opinion of her stance as a soldier. The Chosen Sword had all but decided an object doesn't need a heart, and being just a weapon is easier. Yugure... still believed her own words. At the same time, she believed in his words some too. It wouldn't be enough to break the shell entirely or desire her old name, but she made note to remember that.

Though the list Xat gave may not be as much of a help, her words were more than the list would've been. Yes... they would overcome their darkness. She, Xat, and Noel would. The soldier wasn't really sure what she was talking about concerning herself and Noel, but...

"Hmph..." A small chuckle. "You know, the United Sanctuary... is hiring anyone who can spew out cheese."

Yes, the paladins were all the overlords, rulers, and conquers of generic, lame, cheesy one-liners.

Yugure didn't stop to rest though, noticing Seifer was gone.

Haku was just on the cusp of going to look for this boy that had wandered off, when Satoshi called him over. "Hey, I may as well introduce you since these guys likely don't know who you are, right?" His boss grinned at him with a face he had not seen in a long time. The large, stern Hawaiian stared at him for a brief moment, then nodded shortly and lumbered over.

Satoshi gestured to his overseer. "Everyone, this is Haku. I can easily say that over the course of a year, he and I have done a lot together." He nodded to himself. "Yep, when I aimed to take a break and find myself, I wanted to go somewhere a bit more remote, but not stay in the same places as before. So I was recommended an excursion to Hawaii." He shrugged, chuckling. "Kind of weird to be told about a summer vacation spot as a distant location, but when I met Haku and his tribe, I could easily say that the Hawaiian islands have their fair share of places that aren't so inhabited."

Haku nodded. "Smaller islands're less traveled. We make our villages there. Very peaceful, very bountiful."

Satoshi smiled. "It was that kind of attitude that really got me involved in learning their way of life. All of 'em were doing their own style of farming with pineapples, something I never worked with back in Japan, so we were able to exchange tricks of the trade and also got on the subject of living life." He shrugged again. "Turns out these guys're Buddhist because of the simplicity of it all."

Once again, the enormous islander nodded. "We do just to do. Such is a good teaching." Upon stating this, something clicked in his head, and he then gestured a hand to the farmboy. "Perhaps you should think of this Cheru of yours in this framework."

Satoshi raised an eyebrow. "Cheru, in the Buddhist framework?...How so?"

Haku cleared his throat and pulled a coin from his pocket, and proceeded to give the longest explanation his boss had ever heard him speak in the year he's known him:

"Consider this coin. This coin has two sides. We say that many things have two sides: day and night, life and death, good and evil...but all come from the same association. Day and night in time, life and death in existence, good and evil in world." He pointed the coin at Satoshi's nose. "What is to say this Cheru is not one side of your life's coin? You are one, she is the other, but both are not necessarily distinct or separate from one another. Remember: not one, but both." He turned to the group as a whole. "Such practice leads to extract worry from one's life. If you are making something separate from yourself, it is to say you are trying to remove yourself from the world as a separate entity, when you are a being that in fact lives and embraces your surroundings daily."

He stepped to Yugure and gazed down. "This, too, could be said of this other side of yours, Spring Blade." He didn't exactly know her actual name; when Nebula Lordified Satoshi had given him his directions, he was to memorize faces, not names. So Spring Blade would have to do. "It is not to say you cannot live your life as the one you believe yourself so strongly to be. But to reject your other self is to prevent yourself from being whole." He put a strong hand on her shoulder, which made his boss cringe a little because he was expecting a harsh response, but to his surprise, his overseer then gave a gentle smile, something not befitting of his typical stern, quiet nature. "Your friends know you as all parts of you, and they love and cherish all of those parts. There are two halves of your life, but to claim one has died would be a disservice to your human existence in this large world." A light pat. "Whether you choose to observe this or not is up to you, however. Simply do as you will. That is the long, but pleasant way to what we believe is enlightenment."

He stepped to Noel, Darren and Xat and nodded to the three of them. "You all as well. The shortcomings of your past, the bad decisions you may believe you have made...yes, perhaps they were without thinking, or they did not deserve forgiveness. But you did as you did. And you learned to do otherwise. That is, in itself, righting a wrong, but it is how you yourself take it upon you that matters. Fix to fix, live to live. Fight to fight. Whatever it is you must do."

He walked back to Satoshi and nodded again. "Apologies. Needed to be said." The farmboy simply stared back in awe at his foreign friend's wisdom. Whether it would have an effect on the group as a whole would be entirely subjective, but...yes, that was a crash course on what he learned over a year. So if he was right, that likely meant...

He nodded, and gave Haku a pat on his back, smiling. "You might just be right, big guy."

Turning his attention back to the room, Satoshi gave a bit more of a stern look of his own and smacked his fist into his hand. "Right. Let's get Seifer. There's a bit more cleanup left to do with the Star-vaders, but as far as I can recall, you guys are starting to hit the homestretch. Let's not let anything stop us now."

Haku's words gave Xat felt a quick moment of contempt but it was shoet lived as she had a flahback to one of her kills from when she was young.

The guy beggi g for mercy and his life but xat didn't care she just cut the man in half. The blood rained everywere in the room and Xat just smirked as she let the blood that fell cover her, the dead eyes of the man staring huntedly at her, before she left the room to go find her next pray.

The memorie was very harsh on her, and she closed her eyes trying to forget it however there was no way to get the blood stained hands clean. Xat then walked out of the room into the hallway before finally let her tears flow. She heard them talking about finding seifer through the door and hopped he was alright.

Darren didn't exactly understand everything that Haku said, but he could plainly tell that there was something in all of their pasts that they regretted. For Darren, it was the Reverse. Even though he was manipulated, he rarely felt like he wasn't in control. With a small sigh, he smiled as he was already trying to make up for that time.

Seeing Xat walk away like she did made him want to follow. He thought he saw a tear fall but he could be wrong. He wanted to follow, but what could he really say? He didn't know Xat's past well enough to say anything to help her through this. He was afraid he could make things much worse by saying the wrong thing. That was the last thing he wanted.

Hearing about Seifer made him snap out of his own thoughts. He looked around and wondered where he could be. He walked out to the hall, going up to Xat as he placed a hand on her shoulder. "You don't have to deal with it alone," he said to her before he started to look for Seifer. Where could he be, and why would he leave after such an important battle?

Xat watched Darren go and once he was out of ear shot she shook her head. "I'm byond redemption, no one can help with my past for its a blooded one." she said softly before she walked away to find Seifer. Hopeing that he was alright
