Title: (NYC) Field: Times Square

Where tourists hate tourists.

Field Status
Some stranger probably has you in their photo by now.
It's full of big screens and nice lights.
The usual movie cliche looking place that gets destroyed.

What is a field?
A field is an area where events between characters or even individual characters may happen. As replies to these posts, characters may chronicle events that transpire between each other which would often be as a result of or due to a Cardfight. Field events are great ways to develop characters as well as character relationships. Field events, for example, could include a Cardfight as part of a rivalry between two individuals. It can be something as simple as a simple outing or meeting that then leads to a game of Vanguard. Or something that would greatly move the plot, a fight between someone of the heroic affinity and someone of the villainous affinity.

Remember, Cray is looking for the best of the best to be a leader. This does not mean that the leader has to be filled with good intentions, its anyone who the cards seem to decide is fit. Heroes can do as much as they can, but without villains pushing the story forward with their schemes, there isn't much to save. So if you are on the villainous side, use these areas to move along with your plots and schemes. You may ask others to come and roleplay with you and anyone can post in these areas, there is no limit other than that of being logical and simply just being respectful to your fellow fighters.

Any character that you interact with during field events may get affinity +1 or -1 with you.
Certain fields may have special events and things happening there in order to start up some action.

Post events that transpire below based on you character's own perspective, and just have fun with it!
Good luck!

After leaving the hotel, Seifer made his way along the streets, memorizing his way to and from the hotel. It was... interesting.... to say the least. It was a large city with flashing lights, sounds, people shouting and yelling. The smells of food and other... unidentifiable smells invaded his senses as he explored. The advertisement billboards were somewhat obnoxious, at least he thought so, since they constantly flashed new products. "I found Neo at the hotel room. I wonder where the others are at though... Would of liked to see them before this all started but... I suppose it can wait until then. I'm sure they're pretty nervous or just getting ready." he mumbled to himself, slightly disappointed but oh well.

Hazama finally got off from his plane at JFK Airport. Admiring the beauty NYC gives, he walked out of the airport to start walking down the street. He knew he should walk because taxi fares were money well wasted in the magnificant city. He finds an entrance to the express subway to get to his destination, Times Square. It took the train about a half hour to get to his stop. He walks up the stairs to emerge above ground

"It's great to be back," he said to himself once he saw the complete greatness of the city. He put in his headphones and started to walk down the street to his destination, the Sheraton Hotel. Oh how great the memories made here were. But, my whole reasoning is changed. He walks up to the magnificant glory in its self. He walks through the door, checks in, drops off his stuff, and proceeds outside.

"Time to go walk around Times Square, just like the good ol' days. I wish... they were still here."

"Woof."

Hana was taking her dog through a fabulous walk in Times Square. The dog who grows endlessly everyday... "Hey stop, you might grow to be bigger than I am..." At the same time, Hana has actually grown a significant amount in the past few months alone. It was possibly a growth spurt which would only make sense, her father was a Lion and mother was the Chief Nurse, and Yukino also looked much more mature than she was. Hana was catching up to the family image along with Pr<3ism Promise. She entered a nearby restaurant and spoke to a man in the front desk to make reservations.

It was faint, but when Hana's dog barked, Seifer heard the tail end of it, turning his head in the direction it, or where he thought, it came from. As he did he caught a glimpse of Hana and started to make his way there, waving when he caught up. "Hey there Hana, I didn't expect to see... well... Anyone else for a little while. Except Neo. He was already in the room." he rambled off a hello before looking around the restaurant he had just so absentmindedly barged into after her, which brought a hint of red to his face out of sheer embarrassment since he figured it was kind of rude, and there were now probably people staring at him.

Somehow a voice had suddenly echoed from behind her so she turned around to discover who it was. "Sei-chan!"  She happily haved at him. The man from the front desk quickly handed her a piece of paper which held the available times for her to make her reservation so scanned it thoroughly. While doing so, she looked up at the embarassed looking individual and tried to comfort him. "Hey no worries, don't be too embarassed."

"Ah... Yeah... Just should learn my manners a bit better. What're you reserving here for though?" he asked, calming down slightly, though a faint red continued to linger. Shoving his right hand into his pocket he took a glance around the establishment while waiting for Hana's answer. Actually now that he thought about it, he wondered why kind of food they had there, and that it looked different from what he knew.

The way the workers were dressed, the carts of steak which they pushed around, and the way that the wine and salads were served suggested that this was a high-class establishment. Hana had to set reservations as this place was generally full. She found a good time during the night and pointed it out to the worker who was helping her. He took the paper and walked back to the front desk. "Oh' um ... I'm reserving for a date. I don't know if they'll be free thought but I am really hoping..."

The brunette male seemed a bit out of place, and didn't quite understand still until the mention of the word date. Nodding, Seifer smiled a little. "I'm sure they'll find time for it. I'll be rooting for you, though... I'm obviously going to not be around." he laughed a bit awkwardly scratching the back of his head like a big dope, but he meant the best, and hoped it'd work out for her.

Satoshi stretched. While he had been somewhat rudely awakened to get his match over with for the first round, it went better than he had expected. He was still in it. Looking over the bracket on his phone, he learned that Yukino and Haruka had needed to face off in the first round, unfortunately, with the Snow Flower winning over the Blazing Sun decisively. Well, at least Haruka would be there to root them both on, assuming they stayed in the tournament for long.

He gazed up at the lights of Times Square. This was what they called "the Big Apple," though there were no apples in sight. He wanted to grab a bite to eat with his friends, but he was kind of curious if they were actually available.

A quick message went out to the rest of the triad, as well as Hana, whose number the butler had also graciously provided.

Hey guys, you wanna get dinner? There are a lot of nice restaurants around here, from what I've read in the guidebook.

"Tomorrow. Really sorry about blowing off a get-together between us again!"

Yukino limped back to the hotel, overcome by the golden heat again.

After Hana got prepared as well, she took Mi-hime to the restaurant that she reserved earlier. The man at the front desk led them to their table. It was a high-class restaurant with all the other customers wearing suits and dresses. The waiters and waitresses were dressed like butlers and maids, so it reminded Hana of home. Of course, this five star restaurant was probably not as good as having dinner in the manor, but it was decent enough. Hana herself was wearing a dress that she had bought back at home, a navy blue dress with ribbons to match her hair. Mi-hime was basically wearing the same thing, blue dress. Matching and all. "She looks so kawaii desu ne.." Hana thought to herself. The restaurant's standard menu was their usual steak and what made things different was just the size of the serving, everything else such as the salad, corn, mashed potatoes, mac n' cheese, and other things naturally just came with the steak on the side. Hana placed the order for both of them and quickly returned her attention to Mi-hime.

"Have you been feeling better?" She asked in concern.

She followed Hana through the square, to a restaurant. It seemed like a nice place, defineltly reasonably fancy. She noted that they had ended up wearing matching color dresses, an odd coincidence. They sat down at a table, and Hana ordered.

She made sure to hide her reaction when Hana asked her how she was feeling. 'O-oh, I'm feeling mostly fine now~ I felt a bit down for a while, but I think I'm better now.' This was true, she still felt a bit weird, but was generally better. 'How about youu? Dealing with things?' She stretched a little and then sighed. 'Sorry, you don't have to answer if you don't want to, we can just have a relaxing evening'.

Despite her inability to participate in the New York Stage due to personal business, she has been invited over to the American Music Awards, hosted in New York City, which is one day prior to the tournament. With this year's music being exceptionally fantastic, for example Taylor Swift's "Bad Blood" and Mariah Carey's "Infinity", there has been much conception that they will likely perform here. Furthermore as most of the artists are here, they will likely perform in the Stage Opening show too. Ighanna is gladly excited to be able to participate and spectate her friend's performances and excited battles.

Being in the middle of the Times Square made her feel as infinitesimal as an ant because of the amount of flashing lights and cars traveling, with red traffic lights flashing every now and then gushing people through the streets like a leaking dam.

"Newwwww Yooorrrkkkkkk!!!" Ighanna yelled as a limousine sent from the hotel picked her up from the Time Square, heart of the shopping streets. From Hersheys building to fashionable shops to Broadway shows, it is truly the 'concrete jungle where dreams are made of.'

"I'm feeling much better, though things with Yukino are still kind of not that good, but its definitely improving." She looked over to the side and sighed. "Yeah, I wish Yukino actually sticks up to her promise, I hope they weren't just lies to make me feel better. I took them seriously..." Hana looked back, embarrassed, "Oh!... I was saying a little much wasn't I?..."

She nodded, "Right, lets just have a relaxing evening."

Thinking back of things to talk about, Hana thought about how her idol career was about to come to a beginning depending on her manager's decision. She was for sure to get some roles as a back up dancer in some performances, but it was a completely different world to actually be pushed in the public as the front. She took a drink of water and wondered about it a little.

"Oh, Mi-hime, I've been auditioning and working with this one manager and kind of group. Turns out they really liked my performance at the beach and have been considering all kinds of offers for me to be an idol and all." She also wondered if she could take Mi-hime with her as well, she was sure that they would love her too.

'Really? That's greattt.' She was glad that Hana had been advancing towards her goal of being an idol. She personally hadn't been making much progress, but as long as Hana was getting somewhere it was fine. 'Don't leave me too far behind' she smiled jokingly. 'Otherwise I'll have a lot to catch up to'.

Recently at least, she hadn't quite had the time to manage to do things like auditions though. With her parents being busy and increasingly requiring her help for small things, a lot of her free time had vanished. Although that might come to an end soon, so it wasn't all bad. She skipped over the Yukino section, it seemed things hadn't gotten fully better. Thought it would be nice for them to get along fully again.

Driving those thoughts from her mind, she looked at Hana. 'Seriously though, all the best with this manager, and let me know if they have any free spaces or something~'. If she did somehow get put into a position like that, she could stop helping her parents for a bit. That was her reasoning at least.

Obviously Mi-hime would be interested. For some reason Hana had some thought in the back of her mind that she wouldn't be, which is just silly. She looked took Mi-hime's hand from across the table and nodded. "I'm sure there's a spot for you, you're really talented. I'll never leave you behind, I've been thinking of you the whole time and how I could help you too actually." With all the things that Mi-hime has been busy with, this is, regarding her family affairs, Hana had been trying to formulate a plan to help her out of that and get more focus into the idol dream that she too wished to achieve. The food arrived in due time. The servers slowly filled the table with their order. Steak, mac n' cheese, mashed potatoes, salad, and such. There was most likely enough to take home here, but Hana put her hands together, "Thanks for the food." She picked up her fork and looked at Mi-hime.

"Don't worry, Espoir family connections can really help you too, I've trying to see what to do in that regard, but of course you do want to audition and stuff right?"

'Of course I'd want to audition, and don't feel like you have to bend too many things for me.'

With that said, she started to eat, as the food was sitting right there. Her stomach was slightly off due to timezone issues, but the food at least tasted good. There was a lot of food though, more then they would be able to eat. 'That's not a major problem though' she thought. She continued to eat, pausing to exchange words with Hana. The meal out was definetly different to what she had been doing the past few days, and it was good to just talk to Hana.

"No, I'm not really changing anything, I actually want you to be there." Hana said to her confidently.

She wanted to keep going, but she supposed that it was best to save the rest until after they finished eating. Despite the front of confidence that she put up, her heart was actually racing. "Wait Mi-hime doesn't know does she?... She might not feel the same way..." The thoughts kept running around in her head, spinning around like circles. The right moment would come soon, for now this was alright. Hana continued to eat, keeping the conversation between them going. The night was peaceful, and while the moon wasn't particularly full, the city lights were more than enough to convey the beauty of the town that was outside the restaurant. They also brightened up Mi-hime's brilliant complexion which Hana just kept thinking about. "She would really make a great idol..." She kept falling in and out of a trance, eventually snapping out of it to add to her prior statement.

"Plus, we can preform together of course. Probably the best part!"

'Yes, performing with you would be very nice!'

It was a very peaceful time, which seemed almost surreal for some reason. Hana did seem to be acting slightly odd though, her thoughts on something else. Worried, Miyuki asked 'Are you ok? Are you tired from today, did something happen?' She held her hand, checking to see if she was alright. After all they hadn't been in New York for awhile, and it was getting late. Perhaps something had happened.

It seems that Hana was about done eating as well when Mi-him held onto her hand. The strange feeling, was it really love? If so then there was no reason for Hana to just let it out and tell her, surely she would understand. Uncertainty made it hard, Hana could read expressions, but could not read minds. In this case, her ability to read them made things worse, giving her head more things to circle around, to get lost in. The excitement itself was there, Hana wanted to tell her how she felt, and since she just asked...

Hana's face turned a little red, and she felt it with her free hand. Her head felt like it was spinning, yet, she felt better than ever. The feeling that she got when she was with Mi-hime was entirely different from what she felt when with others. Without a doubt, it must be it. There was no turning back at this point, it was getting late, and this was the right time that she had been waiting for. So with her heart beating fast, she closed her eyes for a little and meditated.

She then opened them and looked at Mi-hime straight in the eye and kept holding her hand, "Mi-hime, you give me a really weird feeling when I'm with you and I think that its because I actually like you in that way. I-I.. guess this is a confession of my feelings for you... I don't know what to really say... um. I love you... I guess?" She scratched the back of her head and time somehow felt like it slowed down, the seconds and minutes felt like an eternity as she waited for Mi-hime's response.

Miyuki froze for a second, her thoughts went blank. Then her thoughts thawed out, and burst around her head. 'Wait what? Hana likes me like that?' She had not been prepared for that at all, but she tried to conceal her shock. For a second, she wasn't sure what to do. How should she answer?

She decided to speak the truth, to not hide things. Miyuki thought of Hana, and how she felt about her. Was it that type of love? She wasn't sure, she had no experience with something like that. She had felt a bit flustered a few times when Hana was very close to her, but other than that she wasn't sure. With no actual idea what love was, it was hard to find an answer.

Trying to gather her thoughts, she looked into Hana's eyes. The eyes of the person who had changed her life, and shaped who she was now. Her best friend, but was that all? She took a deep sigh, and took the plunge, feeling her heart beat frantically.

'O-oh, I see, I didn't realise that~' She strove to keep her voice bright and upbeat, and continued on. 'I-i have no experience with love, but I... welll.' She struggled to find words, in the end just giving up and going for a simple answer.

'I love you as well Hana.' Her heart felt like it was going to burst, for some reason. She wasn't quite sure why, but it was definetly odd. 'I think' she added softly, trying to show that she wasn't fully sure either. 'I don't fully know, but yes, I love you as well.' Despite her efforts, her words slipped around, clumsily, and she could feel her cheeks burning red. She tried to collect her composure, but failed. This was new to her, and she didn't know how to react. All she could do was hope that she had expressed herself properly.

In an instant, Hana felt as if she was now falling. "She does too?" She thought to herself again and again, trying to let the fact sink in. At the same time, something else within here also sank and that was a nostalgic feeling of how she used to be so naive, with so many things unknown to her and so many bad assumptions made simply out of pure blind trust or out of not knowing enough. For awhile that was also something she forgot, that kind of innocence which was both her weakness and strength. She's been trying to calculate everything lately, keeping her mouth shut when she knew that she was wrong, trying to make her image out to be who she really wasn't. She saw how she used to be in Mi-hime now and she she no intention on letting Mi-hime become like her, becoming dull and angry all the time. It was unbecoming of an idol after all anyways, and maybe even though Mi-hime keeps on saying that she's behind, she probably has a lot that can teach Hana.

"Til recently I didn't know what the feeling was either, but I know that you definitely are special to me and that you have a lot you can probably teach to me." Hana stood up and bowed to Mi-hime, "I-I really don't know how this works either, I just saw this in movies. I would like to ask you to go out with me... and we can have fun adventures and stuff together..."

Alexander had wandered throughout the city a great deal, a look of confusion and total loss resting strongly on his brow. His eyes scanned the area, taking in it's sights before shaking his head in annoyance. "I swear, I thought I had it right this time." Speaking out loud as his eyes scanned the busy bright streets, the noises and rude remarks that flung around the area creating a good deal of annoyance to the young man. "Man, can a park be so hard to find?" His mumbling audibly in Japanese, considering his mediocre skills in English it was wise for him to avoid cursing in it.

He sighed, taking in a deep breath to calm himself down, eyeing the expanse one more time as he caught something with his eye. A starbucks, the young man remembering good things about the store chain from his last time visiting his father in Canada. Only something like a good cup of coffee could make him feel right again, taking this momentous occasion as a blessing, rushing over to the store as he ordered himself a peppermint mocha. The obnoxious christmasy drink given to him in a haste as he payed in fresh american bills, making a mental note to thank his mother for giving him some changed currency before journeying.

The young man proceeded to head outside, resting at a table outside of the coffee shop, taking a seat as he placed his coffee on the table. His deck case soon followed, spreading his cards out, looking intensely at them as he fervently sipped his drink. He seemed to be contemplating his deck build, the likes of Azure dragon, and the other beast deities seen in the mix. Things like yamatano drake and golden anglet. Personally, he had hoped someone would come to challenge him to a game by doing this, feeling a tad bit timid. This shyness coming from both his exhaustion coupled with his sense of uneasiness of being lost within the walls of the gigantic metropolis.

After a few hours of rest from the flight Tsubasa decides to leave the hotel room to check out the Times Square In New York City. His main objective is not only sight-seeing but also a chance to see what this place is like, since he does not often get the chance to travel.

"...The atmosphere here is more loud than the atmosphere back in Rijuku or even the shopping district." he thought, as he continued walking through the streets of Times Square.

He comes to a stop near a coffee shop, Tsubasa is not a huge fan of coffee in general but in these situations he may need to get one if he wants to keep going before returning to his hotel. However, as he enters the shop he sees one customer minding his own business at his table....with Vanguard cards spreaded in front of him.

"....Vanguard in NY...looks like I need to introduce myself." he thought.

After purchasing his drink, he makes his way to the table of the fighter he just saw and asks, "Would you mind if I take a seat?" as he takes out his deck in front of the stranger.

'Okay, sure! I-i'll go out with you.' She blushed again when she said that, but was glad in some sense that this was also new to Hana. Miyuki stood up as well, and took her hand again. She looked Hana in the eye, but was unsure what to do. How to act, what to say, she didn't know what she should do.

'I love you Hana' she said, repeating it to herself. As if reminding herself that, she nodded her head, and smiled. 'I don't think I can teach you much, but sure, let's have fun together.'

She was happy, Hana was actually nothing but happy. Its been awhile since she's felt this way, so glad that she just smiled without thinking. Mi-hime was now her girlfriend, and her thoughts straight from the heart were answered. It was a feeling that she's been yearning for, to have someone by her side, to never be alone. The lights flickered from outside the town, the night sky glistened among the lights of the sky scrapers. The restaurant operated as usual, and people were about their business. Time's Square was full of thousands upon thousands of passer-byes, car horns blared, and the rest of the world continued about their business. In this moment, time stopped for Hana, as she looked upon the one whom she has feelings for with a promise to make her happy, to explore the unknown world together and to create a bright future, hand in hand.

Hana stepped up to her and kissed her, and put her arms around her, not letting go. It was weird how she always thought that it was gross when Yukino did this, but Hana just assumed it was because it was Yukino and anything she does is gross. She enjoyed the time, the warmth of the moment. As the world kept shifting, forcing things to change, for once, Hana was able to stand still, in the moment and hold on to the world in the palm of her hands for what felt like an eternity.

"I love you Mi-hime." She said again and again, trying to make sure it wasn't all a dream, "yes, we will surely go together!"

It was a dream like time. Hana moved up to her and kissed her, as if in slow motion. This suprised her, but she held still. Strange feelings swirled around inside her, and she wasn't sure how to react. She could feel herself getting flustered again, feel her face turning red, but it wasn't a bad feeling. Hana's warmth comforted her, made her feel at ease.

Miyuki stayed like this for what felt like ages. Despite herself, a few tears fell out of her eyes, and her body started shaking. All the feelings that she'd been agonising over, the worry with Hana, had been washed away in that instant. For the first time in a while, she truly had nothing to be bothered about. She couldn't explain this in words however, and just stayed there, wishing this time would go on forever.

Hana +10 AP

Alexander concentrated on his cards amidst the rather peaceful area that was the Starbucks, a peaceful refuge amongst the boisterous city. Of course, by normal standards the coffee shop itself was also noisy, but being able to sit down and phase into your own little world always helped. His thoughts flew to his recent fights, and how he could possibly upgrade his deck, the teen reaching a blank and sighing in defeat.

"I guess I just gotta keep at as is, then." Resigning himself to the current situation, if he couldn't do too much with his deck he might as well focus on his own skills. Luckily the opportunity itself might have just come knocking.

Turning his head to the voice, Tusbasas' words registered after a solid five seconds. Blinking blankly for a moment before rushing out an answer "Ah, yeah, of course." The words spoken in an accented English, specks of a French accent still in his words. His eyes flew to the cardfighters deck, and a small joyful smirk formed on his face, his features brightening up compared to their previous state.

"So, a cardfight right? Best out of three?" Asking, still not having told the stranger his name yet, likely he would remember to after.

A day in Times Square? Sure, why not. Haruka had heard about the area, but never really learned all too much about it. It was a lot noisier, crowded and above all, bright, than the rest of the areas in New York he had visited.

Not to mention his bright color choices and obnoxious scarf in the dog days of summer sort of stood out. But he was cool nonetheless. Literally. His body temperature was rather low, and he felt the breezes from all over, but not all that much heat. His scarf kept him toasty enough, but he didn't feel the intense heat he normally did everyday.

Upon arriving in the coffee shop he had heard about, he ran up to the front and asked for one cup. To which he was asked a size in random words he never heard. Turns out they weren't even English. He just said "the biggest size," and the biggest size was what he got. A 24 ounce cup of coffee was given to him, and with that the caffeine wire began.

Sitting down at a nearby table, he noticed Cardfighters across the cafe, but he wasn't about to waltz up in there and chat to people he didn't personally know, let alone demand a fight or anything. Instead he pulled out his phone. Of his very few contacts, he decided he would text Hana. He obtained her number through a strange conversation between him and Butler-san about the doge. Apparently Haruka was supposed to help the Butler clean the dog, except if anything went wrong, it was Haruka's responsibility to call her. Nothing went wrong really. Except the one scratch...

"heyyy hana. its harooka, sup? -haru"

Satisfied, he hit send. Then got bored really quickly realizing she might not even respond to the unknown number and then ended up texting Yukino also, because they left on a rather deep note the evening before and he preferred if things stayed mostly casual between them when it wasn't such a serious atmosphere.

"hey yuki, where are you? im at the one 'star coffee place thing.' by the way, the coffee here is amazingggg -haru"

Gulp. The coffee was indeed better than he imagined. But not better than Butler-san's. Not even a long shot.

Buzzzz-

"Oh, a text from Hana." Haruka picks up his phone and sets his halfway finished cup of coffee on the table. Evening was approaching and he only managed to dent the monster he'd been gifted with.

"yeah sure. im at the coffee place in times square. where do you wanna meet? -haru"

Pressing send, Haruka returns his attention once more to the monster in front him-

Confess.

She...

"omg omg omg omg omg omgo om go mgom ogm congrats hana! :33 -haru"

He was super happy for Hana for finally making a move. This was definitely a move up for her, as she seemed so pent up about all of it not only a week or so ago. This was progress, and Haruka was genuinely overjoyed for Hana's confidence.

Satoshi was out on another walk in Times Square. New York was pretty interesting. He had spent a lot of yesterday, after his fight, exploring the sights and sounds of the city. Today, he was wearing a "Top of the Rock" t-shirt, a souvenir from a building he had gone to the top of that overlooked most of the city. It was absolutely gorgeous at night with all the lights.

Today, though, there was something slightly bugging him. It wasn't the fact that the triad had separate rooms, or that they hadn't hung out. Actually, it was unrelated to the triad at all. No, it was about a certain someone in his phone contacts.

Hey, Neu, it's Satoshi. Can we talk? I know things've been rough recently, but I haven't seen you in a while, so I wanted to check in. I'm in New York City all the way in America for the World Circuit, it's exciting!

With this text, he sent a picture of him making a closed-eyes peace sign, with Times Square as a backdrop. He then pocketed his phone and kept walking, only to notice Haruka sitting in what appeared to be a local coffee shop, having some to drink.

"Typical..." he muttered, chuckling a bit before going in and swinging right into a seat at the scarfed boy's table.

"Hey! I've been trying to get ahold of you and Yukino since the flights left. How've you been?"

Before bringing the the colossal titan of a coffee drink to his lips, Satoshi appeared before him seemingly out of nowhere.

"Oh, Satoshi! Hey!" Haruka flashes a casual smile and waves. It had sure been a bit, at least a few days since the plane ride. Haruka already wishes he could be on a plane again. The sky was comforting him.

The thought also created a sudden wind chill. Haruka shook a little, somewhat cold. His skin felt icy again. The blood was slowing down, even though the heat in his chest was still present. It was like two forces working against him physically.

"I'm good, mostly. Had to face off with her, actually. In the tournament I mean. She got me good both rounds. It was nice though. I enjoyed myself. I learned a bit about myself and I've made some... decisions." Haruka nods, taking a sip of his coffee. It was less tasteful, and more that it was still a warm drink and that was what kept him from freezing up.

"'Her'? Who do you mean by---"

Oh. Right. Yukino and Haruka had to face off for the first round. Satoshi could've sworn he remembered that, but it didn't click at that moment for some reason. He gave a light shrug.

"It's okay, man. You still made it out here, and that's what's important, right? All of us, doin' this together." Lately, his dialect had started reverting from someone who wasn't a total country bumpkin to someone who was. But it was a happy medium this time, which was a relief.

He ordered a cup of coffee for himself, taking care to not order the largest size possible, as it appeared Haruka's hands were a little jittery from his typical hard-wire. "Yeah, apparently Yuki and I are the only two that are still in this from our little group of friends. Although, I haven't heard how Miyuki did or anythin', so I don't know for sure." He twiddled his thumbs. "Got revenge on Cero for puttin' me out of nationals, so that was nice."

Neo spent the entire day pondering in his hotel room. So he decided to get up and take a walk around. With the help of his map, Neo made it to Times Square. A big place, one of the main landmarks of New York City and its where every visitor and tourist goes. Neo blended in with the crowd quite nicely considering everyone was walking in huge groups. With his camera in hand taking as many pictures as he could, Neo decided to just keep walking around and enjoying this moment.

"Right, right." Haruka's shaking was pretty easily hidden, it was the fact that Haruka wishes had a second hoodie to wear or something because he could feel the cold rise up his neck and into his jaw, as well as his hands.

"Oh, you took some games? Nice man, grats." With another normal smile, he pats Satoshi on the shoulder. With that, he leans back in his chair, taking a few more enormous gulps of his coffee.

Why is it so cold today... errghh.

Sera had been awfully quiet since they landed in New York. More so than quiet. His presence was faint. As if he was exerting the least possible amount of energy existing, maybe to ease Haruka's body's workload? Or maybe he just wasn't in the mood to say much.

Out the window, Haruka noticed a certain Neo Isamu walking around taking pictures.

Sorta sketchy... but it's Neo so he probably won't do any harm.

"So, how's it been with you anyways, we haven't really talked a lot recently. Stuff happening and all, we don't get the opportunity like we used to."

"S'been okay, I guess. You're right that we haven't really managed to do much in a while." Having received his cup of coffee, Satoshi dropped a little sugar in and sipped.

This cup was...okay. Nothing like the cups the Espoir's butler made.

"I mean, we met at the park, but then Hana was there and that was different. Then there was the beach, but that day, I was sort of trying to get a bunch of things off my mind since the flight to here was coming up. Honestly, since Yuki disappeared into the rift, even though she's back, the three of us haven't really had too much going on together, at least from what I'm lookin' at."

He grinned. "Well, at least, I haven't done much with you two. I dunno how much you two have done together. Probably a lot more than is worth mentioning, right?" He of course wasn't being serious; Haruka and Yukino hadn't been together that long, so it would be crazy if they had gone "all the way," as his father described it back on the farm.

Come to think of it, he was probably the only one of the four of them that wasn't in a relationship, but that didn't exactly bother him. At least, not at the moment. It might have, back when he felt something for the Chosen Sword, but that had since been replaced with him being more protective of her and Haruka, as well as trying to find ways to not get in their way when they wanted to be alone together. It just felt like recently, they weren't able to hang out in the ways that they were in the past, mostly because other things were troubling them.

"What're the Espoirs up to today anyway, any clue?"
Title: Re: (NYC) Field: Times Square

Haruka continued to sip his coffee. 3/4th's down. He was getting to the bottom. The end was near for this fiend.

"Hm? Eh, oh. Well, Hana is out with Miyuki from what I remember. Maybe not anymore, I'm not too sure... Yukino, erm... Haven't heard from her today. I've been here for nearly four hours killing this thing. I tell you, this coffee is strong, and stays hot for a long time." Haruka pointed to the monster cup he was drinking from.

"Other than that, your guess is just as good as mine. Last I heard from Yukino was yesterday evening after our tournament fights." He scratches his head, then nods confidently confirming that was truly the last of their conventional meeting time.

Ah-ah-ow ow ow ow-

Haruka's shoulders, back and legs started to tense up. The chill that struck him early had him in a feeling of paralysis. He used his hands to calm down his thighs by rubbing them down a bit. He awkwardly leaned forward to break the freezing feeling off.

"S-Sorry. It's been a bit ch-chilly recently, ha ha ha!" Haruka laughed a bit at the end of that, realizing he sounded silly trying to talk with this teeth nearly clenched.

Satoshi raised an eyebrow, but didn't press on about him being cold. Something was up, but a coffee shop wasn't the place to bug him about it. After all, he was wearing a t-shirt and shorts, and still felt a bit warm this evening, probably due to all of the cars generating heat with their exhaust, and that heat staying in place from all of the metal buildings.

"I did send you both a text last night asking about getting a bite to eat. When you didn't respond, I figured you were prob'ly sleeping. Yuki turned me down again." He shrugged. "I was going to press her about it, but if I'm bein' honest, I don't want to bother her until she's ready to say whatever it is. 'Sides, I have to apologize to her for a lot of stuff, too, eventually. I didn't even come close up on those rafters."

He took another swig of his coffee. "Four hours just to down that? Sounds like I'm gonna be here for like an hour trying to down this."

With another grin, Haruka chuckles at Satoshi's remark about the coffee. Aside from the playful comment, he took some notice of the apologizing idea. Haruka could guess that Satoshi had a lot to say recently.

"Yeah, pressing her probably isn't good." Haruka took a straw from one of the table dispensers and stirred the remainder of his coffee for a little. Something to mess around with, keep his limbs moving. He felt his body stiffening by the second. After a bit he craned his neck to feel the skin on his neck stretch a bit. It was painful. He honest to god needed to like, sit in front of a fire. Or be set on fire.

"I actually need to get a hold of her eventually. Maybe I'll call her tonight or something... Er, hey, is it cold in here or is that just me?"

"A...little bit," Satoshi lied. "I probably should've brought a coat with me. This coffee's alright at warming me up a bit, though."

He shrugged. "I should probably text her. I was thinking about going to this little place one of the taxi drivers mentioned. A nice little Italian place down a couple blocks. Dinner's on me if you're interested."

"Hmm..." Haruka contemplated it, but it was already starting to get a little late for him and he just wanted to rest. His body was not in great shape as of the moment and staying out any longer might cause a meltdown of some sorts.

"Thanks for the offer, and I am a bit hungry, but I'm actually unusually tired." This wasn't exactly a complete lie. He was really tired, sleep would help. But his body was wide awake in the wrong ways, causing his nerve endings to go into an infinite loop of pain, recovery, and pain again, causing this sort of stasis. He managed to sort of walk up to the entrance, and waved back to Satoshi.

"You have my number, text me tomorrow maybe." Haruka nods, smiling, trying to stretch as much as he can before he freezes all the way. Making it back to the hotel in one piece was his mission now.

What a trip that'll be.

Tsubasa was intrigued that this person's way of talking resembled the french accent slightly, but he was even more impressed that the stranger understood his hidden challenge just by seeing his deck.

"..You don't waste time I see.." he said. " In that case let's get this going, I'm Tsubasa, Tsubasa Hayato."

Satoshi's phone vibrated on the table. He smiled. Yukino promptly responded this time.

Oh, it was Neu. Actually, that worked. He nodded to himself. Neu was someone he could kind of talk to, even if it bored her---

"Wait, did she say 'meet you there'?!" Satoshi quickly threw a message back:

"Uh, sure." She nodded.

Neu hasn't actually been needing to eat since the Rift's been having weird effects on her body aside from heir hair and her eyes. It seems like some needs are either no longer needed or become necessary in excess. She shrugged most of this off as it wasn't anything that was life or death. "Sure thing." Satoshi ditched his cup of coffee, grabbed her hand gently and took her to the place in question. It was a tiny little restaurant just down the block. He grabbed them a table by a window and looked through the menu to order.

After figuring it out, he looked up at Neu, then sighed. She wasn't exactly who he had in mind to just spill to, but this helped put a few things to rest that he wouldn't be able to do with Yukino.

"Hey, listen...I know I was super skeptical of what you were doing and all that, and I did nothing but spit venom and hate at you blindly. I was worried you were going to hurt one of my best friends beyond repair, even after we helped her realize she was a person." He shook his head. "But...whatever you did, she's changed a lot for the better, even though I still haven't gotten a chance to make amends with her completely. So...thanks for that."

He smiled. "Being out here has helped me appreciate the fun of Vanguard a lot more. I get to go to places I've never been before with great friends and rivals and play the Vanguard of Companionship I've come to appreciate and love so much. Sealed or not sealed, the same would be true for me. So thank you, again, Neu."

"Uh, no problem." She wondered to herself what exactly what that one statement was concerning though, "Vanguard of Companionship?"

She relaxed herself on the chair as usual and looked around the restaurant. Times Square from the outside was just as she remembered it, a cluster of lights, advertisements, tourists, and traffic. It was in those situations that she is glad that she no longer needs to drive in order ot get to places, not that she actually drove by the law in the first place. Still, it feels good to be home.

"It'll be here eventually..."

Satoshi felt his hand reaching out to pat hers and thought better of it, placing his palm flat on the table. Neu did look really worn out despite being willing to come out and see him.

She sat up and looked in excitement. Its been far too long since she's eaten anything other than fish balls, not that there was a problem but a change, even for a bit was good. Neu picked up her fork and rapidly ate everything a matter of seconds. "Thank you," she said while wiping her mouth with a cloth. For now things were relaxed, but that would change soon enough. It wasn't long until the fate of Cray and Vanguard would be decided, so this was all welcome to her, at least she got to relax and be herself before having to do what she must for the sake of Vanguard.

"At one time, I probably did think you were out to get us. But now, honestly? I couldn't tell you. If anything, you seem like someone who just wants to make sure everything works out for the better. Even if we are trying to unseal the clans."

He paid the bill with a hefty tip and got up to walk out, stopping just before the door. "By the way, if you're wondering what 'Vanguard of Companionship' is..."

He turned and gave a peace sign and a wink. "It's the reason I play Vanguard. I learned it recently and it's made my life so much better. Here's hoping you find yours."

"Out for everyone?" She took a deep sigh. Her purpose now isn't to make sure that the clans remain sealed anymore, the past few months have shown her all kinds of fun and adventures people can have with Vanguard. If anything, she wants to just make sure that when the clans do get unsealed, the world is ready for them. Though there was idea knocking on the back of her mind.

With my power, I can just create the ideal world myself.

"This is to hoping that the chosen prove me wrong and show me a Vanguard worth following."

Well, his last tatement was all kinds of strage as Neu had already found her Vanguard, that was the entire reason that she was the way she was. The Vanguard of the Collective.

After taking a break from exploring and resting up at the hotel, Seifer decided to get back out into the streets of New York City. He didn't know how much time he had left here, or until his next match in the tournament, but he felt like he should explore the city some more. It was pretty nice here, at least he thought so. After walking for what felt like ages though, the brunette sat down at a walk-in diner, ordering breakfast. Something simple like eggs, bacon, and a waffle. As he waited for the meal to arrive though, a wave of nausea washed over him prompting him to remove his glasses and pinch the bridge of his nose while shutting his eyes. He felt dizzy and rather drained. Was he getting sick? No... no that couldn't be it. It didn't feel like an illness, just his body felt massively drained. After a few moments though the feeling went away, but he opted to leave his glasses off. He wasn't entirely sure what just happened, but he equated it to nothing more than just a temporary burst of nausea. Maybe even homesickness. He was a long ways away from home. While he was lost in his own thoughts, the waitress had brought his meal, to which he picked at while staring out at the scenery of the city, losing himself in thought again.

Fwoosh, zoom. The battle was over, their speedy back and forth attacks finally ending as Alexander dealt the sixth damage to Tsubasa. A confident grin resting on the young mans face as sweat dripped from his brow. The battle was intense, and the reveal of his opponents Ultimate Break sent a chill down his spine. The burning lions visage was that of a experimented warrior, having imagined his form, luckily by his side was a fighter that could go toe to toe. Azure Dragon, the mechanical deity having met his opponents blows, although it was the beast deities tag team attacks as a whole that were able to beat down the red lions ultimate form in this match.

"Hey, Tsubasa... Right? That was a good fight, I don't think I've ever seen a unit like yours though..." His words coming out in their questioning tone, placing a hand on his chin as he rubbed it lightly. Looking to be in thought for a moment but shrugging it off, turning to the other young man once more. "Do you live in America? Or are you also here to see the Circuit? I came to spectate myself. My mom was kind enough to let me go and all." Throwing bits of information about himself out there. It seemed like he was being friendly at least, Alexander having gained respect for his opponent. Though he felt something odd about the fight, as if not having seen his opponents true potential.  Disregarding the feeling he outstretched his hand to shake it with the other fellow, an attempt to be well mannered and such.

Now, if Alexander would be more conscientious of his surroundings, he would have noticed the crowd of onlookers. People eyeing the two after all of his shouting during the fight. Some unnamed appreciators of vanguard having eyed the game closely, while other strangers giggling silently at them. Though, like everything in the city, it would be eat up by its own noise, people going on with their daily lives as the dispersed to see to them.

The cardfight between Tsubasa and Alexander was challenging for both sides, even though Tsubasa had a difficult opening hand he still did his best to push his opponent but the style of nova grappler was too much to handle at that point. Nevertheless it took great skill to command such a formation of pressure against your opponent, so Alexander has gained Tsubasa's respect.

After seeing how the people surrounding him, reacted to their game he says, "..Let them react any way they like, they will never know how good this game is..." he said, as he began to walk out of the store. "..And to answer your questions, my unit is an evolution of my avatar, a symbol of my vanguard, and i'm not here to see the circuit i'm participating in it, i'm sure we'll meet again soon Alexander, but for now I have a match to get to."

Tsubasa wanted to spend some more time fighting this impressive fighter, but the time for him to find out his round 2 opponent was approaching and for that reason, he had to leave.

"..heh I'll get my rematch..Alexander..." he said.

After losing his match against Tsubasa, Seifer stumbled to the hotel first to change and leave his glasses on the table. When he returned to Times Square, the male was now wearing a black jacket with a fasten type collar, a black t-shirt, the black slacks like normal and his black boots. The necklace of a lion was draped around his neck, and as he walked, his eyes were shut halfway. 'Something just felt... Wrong... Toward the end of the fight... Something's missing... But what is it?' he sighed to himself before sitting down at the diner from that morning, this time ordering a dinner plate classic: a burger and some fries. While waiting for the meal to come, Seifer stared down at his deck, at Leopald.

Alexander blinked blankly for a few moments, confusion settling on his features before he took in the meaning of Tsubasas' words.

"W-What?" he stuttered out, the mans answer unthinkable, having faced a circuit participator without his knowing causing a mix of emotions to swell within him. Mostly positive ones truthfully. Though, the young mans next words seemed to cause him to pause for a moment. "An evolution of your avatar...?" Repeating his words, both as a question and as a thought. Shaking the words away as he saw Tsubasa being in a rush to leave. He nodded, waving him goodbye as he spoke. "Well, alright. I'll be rooting for you. It'd be a shame if you lost too early now." The words spoken as a provocation of sorts, a small jab, the words holding a rather arrogant meaning. "If you lose early it means beating you wasn't worth anything."

So with Tsubasas' departure, and him having finished his coffee, Alexander rushed to the stadium. Wanting to catch the ongoing matches, and have a chance to see his newfound rival in action. And somewhere in his heart, a yearning for Azure Dragons own growth began to form, a wish to match a unit of Ezels caliber. This time head to head.

Returning to the hotel room after eating dinner the previous night, Seifer yet again ventured to Times Square. There wasn't anything else left for him to do here, but he'd decided he liked the food at least enough to stay until everyone else returned. Sitting down at the same diner from before, the brunette male ordered the same thing he'd had for dinner and quietly watched the streets while waiting. After a few moments longer, the male's head started hurting again, prompting him to pinch the bridge of his nose.  'Again?... This has gotten more frequent since I lost to Tsubasa... What's going on... And why do I feel so empty...' his thoughts disturbed him a great deal and yet... he couldn't do anything about it. It was true. Sighing the man turned his head back toward the streets as the waiter brought his food. Hopefully this would help him a little bit, at least for the headache. That was his thoughts before eating quietly, going to excess lengths not to spill or drop anything.

Haruki triumphantly walked down the streets of Times Square as he left the tournament area after his victory from his round 2 match. While walking through the city, the young man of justice noticed Seifer quietly eating some food. He walked up to his friend to say hi.

"Hey Seifer, great to see you here. What have you been up to in New York?"

Having just finished his food, Seifer glanced up as he was addressed by the approaching Haruki. Admittedly he was happy to see one of his friends as he'd not been able to talk to any of them outside of the tournament, the last being Tsubasa. "Ah... Nothing much really, just biding my time until we have to go back. I lost out to Tsubasa in the tournament." he explained to Haruki, smiling softly. Paying, and tipping the waiter, the brunette stood to meet Haruki fully, slipping his hands into the black jacket he'd bought back before the tournament with everyone. "How about you Haruki?"

Having finished his second round fight with Seifer, Tsubasa takes this opportunity to take a walk at Times Sqaure for a break from the cardfighting stage. But even now he still wonders about his upcoming opponents.

"Satoshi...Noah...Haruki... and Yukino...I have to be ready" he thought as he continued walking.

Tsubasa walks past a diner and spots two of his friends at the diner.

"Haruki...and seifer....I wonder how they're doing.." he thought, as he began entering the diner.

"Hey guys, how are you both doing?" he asked.

"The World Tournament here has been cool so far, and I even made it to semi-finals. Your's and Tsubasa's match was great too when I was watching it, so nice one." As Haruki talked with Seifer, his other friend Tsubasa walked in too. Haruki greeted him with a friendly smile.

"Hey Tsubasa, been doing great. Congrats on making it to semi-finals by the way."

Seifer laughed softly at the compliment, appreciating it probably more that Haruki knew. As Tsubasa walked up, he gave a genuine smile waving at his friend. "Hey Tsubasa. What're you doing here?" he asked tilting his head, both of his eyes shut halfway. He wasn't mad at Tsubasa or anything for winning their fight, not even close. He was glad his friend could do as much as he could, and was connected to his clan, but at the same time that was something he envied.

" Thank you.." he said, smiling back at the two. "I'm glad you're progressing well in the tournament yourself Haruki, but be careful...Yukino is not an easy opponent" he said.

After his words to Haruki he turned to face Seifer. Tsubasa did not want to pressure Seifer about his strange behaviour at the end of their match but he was too curious and concerned to let it slide.

"I need to ask you something..." he said. "At the end of our match...you started grasping your head, as if you were in pain, what was that about?" he asked.

Haruki was surprised to hear from Tsubasa that his friend Seifer could have been in pain at the conclusion of their match. He remembered that when he came up to Seifer in the diner, he looked tired, maybe with a slight headache. The young man of justice looked to his weakened friend with a concerned expression.

"If you're feeling troubled Seifer, you can tell us about it. Anything to help a friend in need."

The concern and questions took him by surprise but he didn't shrug it off. Instead he met both of his friend's eyes before sighing softly. "I'm not sure honestly... It started just before our fight. I'd start to get headaches and feel weak and tired. After our fight they grew more frequent and intense. I feel almost... Empty. Like I'm missing something really important. ...Like I can't get connected with Great Nature. Don't get me wrong... I love the clan. But from the first moment I had it, I felt something was really... wrong. Then I see you with Gold Paladin Tsubasa... and it makes me.... Jealous. You're connected to them. I could tell in our fight." he sighed again scratching the side of his head and turning his gaze toward the streets. He'd just let himself ramble more than he should of probably, and he hoped he didn't sound... weird. But he wasn't entirely sure what to say other than that.

"Hmm... can't get connected with your clan?" Haruki thought about what Seifer said and remembered how his friends Neo and Tsubasa had this feeling too. Perhaps his dilemma had to do with the missing clans problem as well.

"Hey, Seifer. You play any other clan before Great Nature?" He turned to his friend Tsubasa to explain his reasoning.

"Seems like the same clan mix-up that happened with you, huh?"

Hazama was walking through the city as he was thinking of his loss in the tournament two days ago. Why am I still here? I already lost the tournament and all this place brings me is painful memories. Maybe I'm just missing one thing, though I can't point it out.

Then it became clear to him. He saw Haruki and some other guy talking. Then it hit him. Now I know what I must do.

He walks toward the two people. "Haruki, I need to tell you something. I am quitting Vanguard," he said as he approaches the guy.

When Seifer mentioned his instability Tsubasa instantly remembered how he felt towards the gold paladins, and his astonishment when Yukino explained to him about the sealed clans and how he used to use the Royal Paladins.

He takes out his deck

"Have I really bonded with you guys....." he thought.

Just then Haruki, as if reading Tsubasa's mind, gestures to him and to Seifer about the missing clans.

"Yea I was thinking the exact same thing-" but before he can finish his statement the three are interrupted by a familiar voice.

Seifer was about to open his mouth in question to the two meant when a new face interrupted their conversation. The male regarding the newcomer coldly but didn't outwardly protest against him showing up, since he seemed to know Haruki. There wasn't much he could do about it anyway, though Seifer was understandably annoyed at the interruption. He'd just have to wait since now that Haruki mentioned it, he had something else to think about. What was his clan before Great Nature? He couldn't remember how he started Vanguard or why. Everything felt kind of blank... and wrong.

Just as the young man of justice was getting close to a solution to the problem at hand, another dilemma arose just as quickly. Hazama, the man Haruki defeated in the first round of the tournament, as well as his kind-of-friend from back home, had burst into the scene to tell Haruki that he was quitting vanguard.

"Woah, woah. What's going on Hazama? I thought you had fun with vanguard." Haruki put his hands up in a way to calm the situation, worried about what Hazama would say next.
Title: Re: (NYC) Field: Times Square

"Vanguard, fun? Ha," Hazama starting laughing at Haruki's statement. "Look, all Vanguard is is a waste of my time, as well as a flood of mad memories. I only did this to see if I could find the answers to my father. But, no. I've come across nothing. No sign what so ever. I can't even win. I have tried out most clans and none of them suit me as a player. So, it's all a freaking waste of time."

With some sparks of anger in his statement, he hopes that they all get it.

After listening to what Hazama had to say, Tsubasa could not hold back the reply he had in his mind. He knew Hazama had his own goals but his way of approaching defeat or set backs annoyed him.

"...All I hear is a person who gives up too quickly, and clearly did not take time to bond with his clan." he said, his back turned to Hazama. "..I would think that your father deserves more than that."

He knew that he was being harsh but when it came down to parents Tsubasa had to push past many troubles in his life for those he cared about, failure may have been a setback but just as he was able to evolve his avatar, after many setbacks, he knew that Hazama could do something similar. Especially when it involved parents.

"Let him do what he wants, Haruki." he said.

"Hey! You may not find it fun now, but I won't let you disrespect the game that my friends enjoy." Haruki saw the possibility that he was the catalyst to make Hazama quit vanguard, after causing his loss in the World Circuit. He looked to Tsubasa, who was trying to bring Hazama down even more.

"No, I won't let this happen. This was my mistake and I have to make it right." The young man of justice looked to Hazama once more, aiming to change his decision.

"You say you've come across no clues so far, and you say most clans haven't worked on your side, but there's still a chance for you yet Hazama. There is a justice that works through Vanguard, more powerful than you could ever imagine. It's a justice that brings people together, and you can't let a loss lead you astray from your goals."

"You know, I'm just tired of all this bs. This justice crap, this isn't a fictional story Haruki, this is real life. And it's not al your fault, it's partially your fault."

He turns to Tsubasa. "Man, you really are an idiot. Maybe I should call u Tsubaka. Ha, it fits perfectly. " He now gets serious, "You don't know me Tsubaka, you have know idea who I am and what my motives are. And besides, who asked for your opinion. Last time I checked, I asked for Haruki."

He turns back to Haruki, "If their is nothing that really suits my soul, then why keep going. Your not going to be 'the hero' in this case and you never will be, so stop wasting your breath.

Seifer listened quietly to all that was being said, but at the end of it... "So you're just going to give up? You're going to run away and hide like a weak little child? You're going to blame Haruki as well? No, it's your fault. I don't care whether or not you want my or anyone else's opinions. You're not the only person who suffers. You're not the only person missing something. ...If you're going to quit then fine, have at it. But all you're doing is just running away from the reality of it: you're weak." the brunette spoke bitterly in Hazama's direction. It was mostly out of built up frustrations about his own problems but the fact that someone was being this childish? It bothered him. "Tch..." after losing his cool completely, in front of both Haruki and Tsubasa, as well as a possibly gathering crowd from the other three's conversation, Seifer shoved his hands in his pockets walking off, away from the trio left standing there. He was beyond annoyed right now. He suffered just as much as others, and yet people were willing to give up, insult others and blame them. He was done with things for right now, and it was probably best if he isolated himself for a bit of time.

As he saw Seifer lash out at Hazama and march out in a rage, Haruki knew that he had to fix this mess, or things would only get worse. He turned to Hazama again to change his mind.

"When I fought against you at Card Capital that long time ago Hazama, I couldn't do anything to help you. I couldn't help you before and you fell down this path, but I will help you now." He pulled out his deck and held it towards Hazama.

"Vanguard is the game that made me one with justice. I'm able to have fun with Vanguard, and I'm able to share the fun I have to others with it. There will always be something out there for you with this game, so you can't quit after you've come this far, especially if its for your family. The moment you think of giving up, think of the reason why you held on for so long."
Title: Re: (NYC) Field: Times Square

He looks at Haruki and the deck he has brought out. "Stop making it worse than it already has been. And I only thought I could do something about my father, but it is just a stupid card game. What will it ever accomplish in real life situations? Now put that away before it gets thrown on the street."

Upon hearing Hazama's reaction Tsubasa puts his deck in his pocket and begins to laugh.

"...hahahahah." he turns around to Hazama."..you come here interrupting our conversation, asking for advice from Haruki..and then decide to immediately shun his opinion?" he says. "...You really are something you know that."

Tsubasa heads towards the door of the store and stops a few inches behind Hazama

"If you're not going to recognize your problems and work towards fixing them then you will never develop, and you certainly won't be able to do much for your dad, make all the insults you want it does not change the fact that you're in denial." he said, as he continued to walk.

Upon opening the door Tsubasa stops and raises his hand to wave to Haruki and says,"Good luck with this kid Haruki."

He speeds up towards Seifer, in order to address the topic they were talking about, "Hold on man." he said, as he caught up to Seifer, "We need to talk."

Both of his friends turned against Hazama without giving a second thought to try and help him. Haruki was crushed by the realization that they wouldn't back him up in this fight. The young man of justice was alone with an angry Hazama, a familiar sight.

"Listen to me Hazama. Fate doesn't always work how you want it. Before, you were using this game to find clues to your father, but you can't expect all the answers to come so quickly. Justice always acts fashionably late you know." He put his deck back into his bag and started walking out of the diner, wondering if his friends would be waiting for him. Haruki looked back to Hazama for one last farewell.

"They've turned against you, but I won't let you quit. I'll be the one justice that will save everyone, including you Hazama." Haruki left the diner and looked for the others.

Hazama just awoke from his bed as he didn't fall asleep until 7 o'clock this morning. He looks over at his clock which reads 4:30pm. Wasted a whole day sleeping, oh well. I needed for the news I gave yesterday to cool down anyway.

He rises from his bed, walks over to the shower, undresses, and gets in. After finishing his shower, he put on a pair of black shorts, a white shirt, a black jacket to go over the shirt, and some shoes. He walks out the door and into the elevator. Finally it dings for the bottom floor, and Hazama follows the other people out into the lobby

Well I guess time to go get dinner or something to eat, but first. He walks out the door and it only takes him two minutes to find his destination, Starbucks. He walks through the shop's door and proceeds to the cashier.

"I'll take a Grande Java Chip Frappachino," Hazama says to the barista.

"Okay, is that all for you," she replies.

"Yes, that is all."

"Your total is $4.05. Name please."

"The name is Hazama.

He hands the money over to the cashier. He waits as the other guy makes his drink.

"Order for Hazama," the guy says.

"Thank You" Hazama walks over to a table. He pulls out the chair to sit down and sip his drink.

Amon was clearly bored. He got up from the bench and headed to the Brooklyn Bridge. He noticed two figures on the bridge. He knew from an instant, Golden Boy, Hazama. He knew of the other figure as well. It was the man that defeated Kurai, The Punk, Shin'en. Amon decided to approach. Hazama was gazing away at the sunset, with a slight distance from Shin'en. Seems like Shin'en had remembered the Shadow Paladins. Amon had knew of their existence for a long while, especially since he attempted to help Shin'en get over the loss of Blaster Dark.

Amon decided to speak out. "So.... about time you remembered, Shin'en Kuraidesu" he gave a serious expression to the lad before shouting at Hazama. "This isn't the Hazama i've met before. You got WEAKER and FEEBLE, what a SHAME!"

He had noticed Hazama was not his usual arrogant self.

See I've met Neu before, and she explained it to me, I think I also may have fought her Royal Paladins before."

He was talking to Shin'en until he gets interrupted by a familiar voice. He turns around to see "The Snake" himself, Kurai, being more arrogant and annoying as ever.

"Pipe it down little Snaky. And the only shame around here is your presense on this bridge," he says to the man kid.

But if you still feel like calling Kurai the Snake, by all means, go ahead." Amon was not playing around with Hazama, he wanted to know this situation and was unwilling to back down, especially after his clash with America's national champion Neu. He decided that no matter what, he would not stand back and take any form of disrespect from anyone, even Kurai.

Shin'en had addressed Amon believing him to be Kurai. "And looks like you're a fool as well. Especially since you manged to forget that avatar you held dear to you.... Blaster Dark!"

A fact that only two people in this world know, excluding myself and Kurai." Amon was sick of being called by Kurai's name, especially by Hazama. His pride came before anything else. And to be threatened by him with an act of violence, he laughed at Golden Boy's aggression, finding it hysterical. He glanced at Shin'en with his crimson red eyes. "If that was a pun... it was well placed, yet only managed to make me think you're smarter than Golden Boy." Amon let out in a some-what relaxing tone before switching back to serious.

"Threaten me with violence? You make me laugh Golden Boy. Your stuck-up persona has grown since our last encounter, but not for the better. Mind you... someone like you, who has given up on everything would not understand me.... or my existence. Satoshi stood outside in the pouring rain. It had rained the previous night and hadn't shown any point of stopping. He was out in his trenchcoat from a while ago, staring up at the lights of the city.

He had remained fairly inactive the past several days because of a dream he had, following his encounter with Neu. A dream where the voice that had haunted him a while ago had returned.

You think your way of Vanguard has purpose? the voice had boomed in his head. What does it matter, if Vanguard itself is proven to have no purpose? A claim that it made and laughed, over and over to, returning the next night as the same dream and keeping the farmboy in bed. Despite Sephirot consoling him and promising him all was well, it definitely didn't feel that way.

Neu returning the worlds' memories didn't help, either. It showed that the whole thing was just a game, and people were better off not worry about such things as clans disappearing. She had been right, even when they, the Triad, along with their allies, believed so strongly otherwise. It was better they didn't remember. The screams in the hotel had confirmed this.

He trudged through the water now flooding the roads. The city had calmed, but his mind hadn't. Hana had also appeared on the screen, calling for the champions of the clans. Even as the last remaining Neo Nectar player to take the helm to his knowledge, Satoshi hadn't felt encouraged to show up. Hell, he still didn't, even with his guardian spirit informing him of the gathering at the World Stage.

It was because something had come to him regarding this whole situation. Yukino and Haruka were former champions of Royal Paladin and Kagero. Cero and Neo shared a similar bond. Jellal and Noah, Aqua Force. The Great Nature clan that was called for, he didn't recognize, but could only assume belonged to a man who used one of the sealed clans as well. Hana herself was Bermuda Triangle.

What was he to those people?

Yukino's irritation with him from their earlier situation rang through in his mind as his thoughts darkened over the past 48 hours. She was mad because he didn't understand. He couldn't possibly understand. He was a champion of a clan unfazed by the sealing of the strong. Why should he be up there when those who used the other clans were better off pursuing this without him?

He put his head down, hands in his pockets, and kept walking.

A small figure appeared in front of Satoshi. She had short green hair and wore a black headband with a red rose attached. Her dress looked as if it was out of it's time, with a gothic feel, a dark beige color, and floral designs all over. The girl stood in a distance, but inched closer and closer, walking majestically through the rain-soaked streets and among the chaotic crowd. Eventually, she had gotten close to him, having to look up to see his face as he was far taller than she was.

"Hey, loser. The princess is calling you over to the stadium. Better head over there now and stop crying." She muttered in a irritated voice.

Satoshi frowned. "I'm not crying, and it's none of my business to go over there." He walked around her, still trying to figure out what exactly he should do in the meantime. At least they could manage without him...

Did he just walk past her? Oh no he didn't.

"You know what, if you're going to be like that I'll just take your Neo Nectar champion whatever spot and fight alongside my baby Jellal." She yelled at him, causing some passer-by to turn their heads with strange glares. "You probably got amnesia or something, but I'm F CHOPPER KOGA, the best host of PSY Shop and and pineapple lover extraordinaire." She did a little twirl and pointed at him, "...and you! Well, you kinda suck, just go over there, the princess calls omg."

Satoshi stopped for a moment. Calling him out in public and claiming to be so good...the best host of PSY Shop? Not only was it a lofty claim to make, but hearing of that shop again and remembering that they had essentially done so little but cause more pain for his friends...

He raised his head and laughed, then turned.

"I suck? If you're so high and mighty, li'l calf, then surely the hosts of PSY Shop would be the champions over everyone else that's there, wouldn't they?" He loomed over her with a bit of a darker look than his normal farmboy charm. "Don't try and push me around and think you know any better. You didn't go through everything we have."

"See this is why Yukino and even Neu are so irritated with you, all you do is assume assume assume assume and speaking in behalf of others." She folded her arms looked back at him. "I'd like you to explain in detail exactly what a PSY Shop host goes through and does, because based on how you're talking right now, it seems like you have a great deal of knowledge on what we do!" A large stomp on the ground came from her right foot F CHOPPER KOGA pointed back at him again, "We would be the champions! I just said we would if you guys don't want to go ahead and do it. We apparently didn't go through what you guys did though so what reason would we? My beautiful sister FUKI used Royal Paladin, and my dinosaur of a sister TOMO used Kagero, right of course! On top of that they remembered like your friends did right?" KOGA pulled out her Vanguard deck and showed it to him.

"Don't treat me like a kid when you're the mopey loser who talks about his friends going through suffering while abandoning them! Stupid! Stupid!!!!"

"Well, maybe if they'd goddamn say something, I wouldn't have to think or feel this way! Didn't think of that, did you?!"

Satoshi had had enough. This had been on his mind for a long time. People made fun of him because he wanted to understand, but they'd refuse to tell him, so he'd have to work with nothing, and then they insulted him when he had to use what little information he could get. Getting zero answers when he was genuinely concerned for others' welfare, trying to understand what made Neu keep the clans so tightly sealed when her reasoning was faulty and receiving the same answer repeatedly..

He had shouted this at the top of his lungs right in KOGA's face. Realizing what he did, he slumped right to the ground.

Seph materialized and placed a hand on his shoulder, staring at the tiny green-haired girl that had made his champion collapse so frustratedly. One might have expected him to be furiously upset with KOGA, but he instead sighed and nodded.

"What Satoshi has been going through recently...the two of us are certain we have what Vanguard means to us, and together we've been ready for this day to come for a while. Yet, there is still a part of him in particular that has been struggling with a voice that makes him feel less significant than he is. It's been with him since our visit to your shop a long time ago." His eyes narrowed. "Believe you me, I've been trying to get him to go to the stadium. The call to arms should not be ignored by someone who has the Guardian Dragon of Neo Nectar as a part of his very soul now. But all the same..."

He looked over to the boy, now staring at the ground and holding back the flow of tears KOGA had accused him of crying earlier. He shook his head. "He's been trying to make ends meet and apologize for thinking the way that he has. He wanted to do so for Neu, which is why he took her to dinner recently. He's been trying his hardest to do the same for Yukino, after trying to defend her and Haruka from the pain of their former avatars disappearing as they did. He did what he thought was right, even if it was misunderstanding things and going off alone to protect his friends."

The spirit gave a slight bow. "I must apologize for him that accusing you of not understanding is likely unfounded. All of those that are aware of Cray's affairs have met similar pain, and I'm sure PSY Shop has felt this no less, especially with the loss of those clans."

"Sephiroth?" She smiled a little at the familiar face.

Then she turned to the messy bag of tears and poked him with her foot, "You want to help people who don't welcome it because they want to try to get through things themselves? In some cases that's more of an insult than actually helping, or y'know, a breach on their right to privacy and having their own thoughts to themselves. Of course they wouldn't talk to you. Assuming things about them just makes it even worse, they're already troubled enough."

She pointed over to a standing coffee table inside a nearby coffee shop. "Now that you actually have the chance, I don't see why you're being stupid and letting it pass up. Just. Go. Over. There. First, you should fight me though."

Seph's touch warmed Satoshi a bit. What he said was true...as was what KOGA responded with. It wasn't really that he was wrong in trying to help his friends. It was more of how much he was prying into them, trying to get at something deeper, when really, there wasn't a need to. They were friends. Friends did need space, but they wouldn't not be friends because of extended periods of space. Even though he wasn't that confident in thinking that...it did sort of make sense.

He got up, wiping his face. "I'll go...why do I need to fight you, though? Shouldn't I just head over there?"

Coming back to this place that he had some sort of fascination with, Seifer walked along the streets again, eyes forward. They still had a few days to do some things here in New York, and he figured that he should just take the time to explore a bit more. Taking his deck out again, he stared at it, sifting through the cards again. There was Dragonic Overlord like normal, but the one card that seemed weird to him was Dauntless Drive Dragon. "Break ride huh? The new evolution of Limit Break..." he smirked again, silently thanking the other champions and Neu, even if they didn't in reality have any hand in this or him getting his deck back. He just felt like it was necessary to do so. Putting the deck away, he sat down at the usual diner he'd been going back to constantly, ordering the same thing yet again, taking in the sights once more.

After what went down at the NYC circuit, Hazama went to chill in Times Square. He sees tons of Vanguard players fighting on the streets using the four banished clans. Well, this will be interesting, haven't seen these clans in forever. Hazama went in his normal Starbucks and sat at the table he usually sits at. He opens his backpack and pulls out the deck that was mysteriously given to him one day. He opened the holder and a shocked look was among his face.

"Original Saver, Zero! What is this card and where did it come from? Though I don't know why I am so ecstatic about this, it is just a filler deck in place of that clan I want to obtain. Neu, when you get better, I hope you will let me aid you on your quest, whatever it is."

He continues to scroll through his deck to see if any other major changes took place within the deck.

After a few moments of waiting, the servers once again brought him the food he'd asked for, and he readily enjoyed it. After finishing though, the male tipped and paid, deciding to finally find the place where two of his friends were at. As he left, he blended in with the crowds, searching and asking for directions. The other two people here wouldn't be able to see him easily, if at all with the way the crowds were.

With his new deck in hand Tsubasa marches through the street, investigating his cards as he tries to understand the power of his new liberators. On his way he gets stopped by groups of people as they congratulate him and thank him for what he did a while back during the conflict...the attention was something new to him...but he could do with it. Nevertheless he was respectful and just smiled and appreciated the support, while also telling them to thank the other champions who fought valiantly in that struggle.

"...A lot sure has changed in a few hours, who would've thought that a while ago that we would be fighting for the sake of the clans of cray and for the world as a whole...i'm just glad it ended well.." he said, as he continued his walk.

While walking he begins to look through his cards recognizing some of his previous Royal Paladins and new Gold Paladins that have combined within his deck, but what captures his attention the most is Gancelot. A card he did not use much but, now it not only is a Gold Paladin but also a Breakride unit, similar to the one Neu used in their battle.

"....I look forward to fighting alongside you, my liberators." he said.

As he continued his walk he passes by a coffee shop and spots a familiar face, it's the man who was present with Yukino and the rest of the fighters who waited for the champions during that conflict, moreover it is a person he met with Neu once.

"...I never caught his name...I need to say hi...but first...-pulls out phone-...there.." he says, as he walks into the shop. Tsubasa had sent out a text message to Neo and Seifer to come join him at the coffee shop.

"Hey man, come join me at the coffee shop we need some free time."

As he enters the shop he walks next to the man's table and says,"Mind if I sit here? we've met before actually, so it's good to see you again."

Haruka was antsy enough waiting for a reply for Yukino, one that seemed to never come. Instead, Haruka ordered another cup of coffee and sat there, drinking it. His demeanor was something of shy and awkward, but inside he just felt very dead. Until somebody approached him. Tsubasa. The last guy to fight Yukino before we had left again. On Cray... or somewhere. In fact, did they have service on Cray? Weird.

Haruka looked up and nodded. His face remained mostly vacant until he realized it. That Tsubasa was the champion who had defeated Neu. He was the champion who unsealed everything and tore Haruka's life apart at the seams. Haruka wanted to close away again and let Sera take control... It all felt too awful in the pit of his stomach. Yet, that wasn't fair. Tsubasa doesn't know Haruka's life all too well, therefore he could not have orchestrated this to hurt Haruka. He only did his duty as a champion and to get back what he presumably had lost as well.

"You may." Haruka said, voice a bit shaky. He fiddles a bit more with Dauntless Drive Dragon in his hand, sipping his coffee again. He checked his phone for a text, which still was not there.

"You're Tsubasa, right...?" Haruka inquired, mostly to make conversation. He knew the answer to that question. But in the end Haruka was just trying to get by without sounding pushy, so small talk was a good start.

But just as he thought everything was going well and quiet... Neo-

"Hey bro!"

Haruka nearly jumped out of his seat, sending his cards all over the table. Copies of Arabella, Striken, and Kimnara lay face-up on the table. Luckily the coffee cup didn't budge, so nothing really spilled out.

Title: Re: (NYC) Field: Times Square

Tsubasa was originally surprised by the drawn back or rather quiet style that Haruka displayed, based on what he had seen of him from before, pegged him to be a bit more confident. Then again situations in life can change how a person feels, it's an unavoidable aspect of life.

"..Thank you, I think I need the coffee to keep going for the da-" his statement was interrupted by Neo's sudden appearance. "Oh, hey man you arrived faster than I thought."

Neo's surprised arrival must have startled Haruka, as it sent his cards flying from his hand and spreading on the table and on the ground.

"...you ok man?" he asked, as he began to pick up the cards. "...wait a sec...Dauntless..Drive..Dragon...oh you're a kagero user?" he asked, handing Haruka the cards he's picked up so far.
Title: Re: (NYC) Field: Times Square

Haruka opened his mouth to explain the situation. Overlord and all. However it wasn't the right time or place, and those are memories Haruka doesn't want to remember anymore. They were no longer each other's Vanguard, so there was no reason for him to be brought up again.

"Yeah, Kagero... Well, I wouldn't say I belong to a clan.." Haruka admitted his reasoning quite frankly. He sipped his coffee, collecting his cards and setting them off to his right side. They were already shuffled up as is, no use going through that business like normal. Haruka looked up at Neo and waved.

"No trouble. It's good to see you." Haruka wasn't particularly lying. He did like Neo, he thought that he was an honest and pure person, with only good intentions. However Haruka was not exactly up for visitors at the moment. But he would feel just as worse for suddenly up and leaving the two people who were already around him. He simply nodded.

"What can I do you guys for?" Haruka pocketed his right hand, fixing his shirt collar with his left. With his scarf missing, Haruka felt a bit naked. Then again, it felt nice to no longer be constricted. It was like a releasing of chains in a way.

Symbolism. Bam.

Sera just hated the thing and was glad he didn't feel like he was being choked anymore and that was always a plus in his book.

Cero wandered through the streets of New York, rather aimlessly.  He was still torn up about letting Vermillion down...  Vermillion sacrificed so much so that Cero could face Neu's full strength, and Cero wasn't even able to win the fight.  Eventually, he found himself in Time Square, and noticed a group of familiar faces.  Tsubasa, the man who defeated Neu, the unknown man from the date Cero ruined, and Neo, the other user of Dragonic Kaiser Vermillion...  When he saw Neo, he was reminded of the pain of loss.  Cero decided to ask Neo if he had also lost his copies of Dragonic Kaiser Vermillion, or if the punishment for defeat was only for Cero.

Walking over to the group, Cero shouted at Neo, "You there!  Do you still have Dragonic Kaiser Vermillion?"

"I see..."  Cero was quiet, coming to the realization he had failed more than just Vermillion.  It seemed only he and Neo had any copies of Dragonic Kaiser Vermillion at all, and the rest had none.  His desire for power, and his loss, caused Vermillion to disappear from the world except for the two most closely linked to it...  Verging on tears, Cero ran to the hospital.  He had to ask Neu something.

Haruka saw the loudmouth appear, and then leave after a quick question.

He was at first astounded and then simply did not care at all. Haruka was somewhat shelling up at his arrival, but with Seifer in his peripherals, he felt much better. He didn't know Seifer well, not really anyways. But he felt comfortable around the guy, facing similar fates as himself.

"Over here." Haruka waved to Seifer, gesturing him to come sit with everybody else. Haruka was a bit happier to have friends around. They weren't people he knew particularly well outside of a few words exchanged, but his coping methods seemed to work.

Sera had no words at the present time. Perhaps he trusted them to help him as well?

Neo seemed to breaking down a bit. Haruka at first didn't have much to say, but instead put a hand on his shoulder. He attempted at comforting the poor guy, but he wasn't sure if he'd be able too... then somebody else stepped in.

"Wipe your tears, Neo. You are extremely strong-willed, allowing yourself to fall further into a pit of despair will only make you weaker in the end. You must grab the edges and climb back out. Become stronger."

Sera had a noticeably smoother voice than Haruka, not particularly deeper, but if there was one man who had the moves to get a girl, the voice Sera was basking had the chops. Haruka was a bit jealous people might like Sera better than Haruka in that case.

A text from Yukino finally arrived. Sera flipped open Haruka's phone immediately, sped through the text and responded. He was a bit more thorough with his response this time, something even Haruka would be satisfied with.

"will do sweetheart. later." He forgot Haruka's tagline.

....

"-haru" Was sent about 2 minutes after he realized it.

The appearance of Cero certainly grabbed the attention of the individuals at the coffee shop, shifting the focus of the conversation at hand. Luckily Seifer appeared to lighten the mood for most of the people here his appearance seemed to ease Haruka's state of mind, however it did not last when Cero posed the question about losing Vermillion. At that moment Neo broke down in tears as it was relevant to his feelings towards losing those he cared about, nevertheless Haruka stepped in to help but this time, he seemed different...

"...Interesting I wonder what came over him..." he thought, as he rose from his chair to comfort his friend.

"..You need to understand something...Ezel is no longer in my deck...because of his duties towards cray...just like Haruka says, you will be able to gain strength if you push yourself...besides unlike last time with your parents you're not alone this time around..." he said, patting Neo on the back.

"..Sorry you're entrance was not under better circumstances Seifer..." he said, facing Seifer, by that time Cero had already left the area..

Sera smiled as well. He was proud of himself for successfully comforting somebody. Sera wasn't accustomed to dealing with many human emotions so he simply told Neo what he told himself whenever he found himself down for whatever reason. Sera sat back down, sipping the coffee to let Haruka take the wheel again. Haruka felt better about what Sera had done for him in this case. Haruka would have butchered that a bit, but the words of the Seraphim seemed to get through to his friend.

Haruka turns in his chair to his deck, looking at his cards still. He was unsure how to proceed with this deck. He'd only seen a few of these units before, but a majority of them were all new faces to him now. He scrunched his eyebrows, then looked up to Tsubasa and Neo. Seifer was also present, but he was just arriving and didn't want to impose anything just yet.

"Hey, err, you two, would either of you want to Cardfight? I mean, I haven't fought with this deck before... I want to see what it's like." Haruka eyed from Tsubasa to Neo and back, awaiting a response. Haruka felt tense, but just at first, but he just had to get back in the groove of fighting. Simple enough.

Seifer merely waved his hand in response to Tsubasa, saying it was alright. "So... Units from the last set are... Vanishing?" he asked looking at Neo about Vermillion. At the imposition of a fight though, and noticing Haruka had a Kagero deck back, he tilted his head. He wasn't one of the ones that were asked to fight so he didn't touch on it, though... "Haruka... You got Kagero back as well right?... How much has your deck changed from what it used to be?"

Title: Re: (NYC) Field: Times Square

The fight went in a strange exchange of triggers.

The fight started with the standing of two Vanguard, a golden trumpeter and a dragon knight. One of which was bound tightly to it's owner, the golden warrior. The dragon knight simply stood under the control of the dragon fighter.

The connection to each clan was entirely different. One was linked by friendship and experience, the other by the mutual need for each other's existence. Without Dauntless Drive and his companions, Haruka stood little to no chance coming out victorious in this fight... So he allowed Sera to come into place.

Sera got to use his powerful Dauntless Drive Dragon, his avatar's, skill. This allowed his beneficiary, Cruel Dragon, to restand after a discard of three cards. Sera felt like this was a bad idea from the start, but he needed to try. He had to force something to happen. With that, Haruka had healed three times, bringing him from 4 damage, back to 1. Quite a feat, honestly. This however, didn't matter to the immense hand-advantage the golden warrior, Tsubasa had built up.

In the end, it was 5 to 5, until Tsubasa's almighty Alfred, revamped in Liberator gear, came to strike Sera's Vanguard down. Haruka took control again at the end of the fight. He was asked questions that he himself didn't answer. Sera made it out to be that Haruka didn't use Kagero... That they were servants to him. This wasn't exactly true. They were comrades... but Haruka didn't feel a connection to these units. They were simply the ones who came to aid him when he needed it.

"It was a good fight Tsubasa. We should fight again sometime... We send our regards."

Haruka and Sera spoke in unison, standing with their deck and leaving the coffee shop, leaving his number scribbled on a napkin for Tsubasa should they need to get in contact. Haruka had set out back to the hotel for rest. His body was shaken up in all the wrong ways... He also had to call Yukino later.

Having reached to the front of the counter he began to order.

"Hello, what can I do for you?"

"I'll...take...the.." Using his best broken english he could muster as he scanned the menu. He then remembered one of the oracle think tank units.

"The...Skinny..Mocha" He then brought the card that he was given by the organizers of the tournament. He then wrote his name on the paper as he could barely say his name in english. Hikaru gave the card and his name to the girl at the front as he waited to get back his card.

The girl then gave back the card and the paper that he gave to her with an added message under his name."Your order should be ready in a few minutes, take a seat." Then it ended with a heart sign. Hikaru looked up with a small blush as the girl winked at him. He then walked to the nearest empty table that he could find and began to skim through his decks as he sat down. His Nova grapplers and his Dimension police deck.

Maybe... they should've met up at the park.

Yukino returned to New York fairly quickly with things packed back at home already, and Father Espoir was still looking into a way to re-open a rift as a gateway. There was no doubt he could do this, but he mentioned it'd take a little while. This was fine, the queen still had work to do before departing. Said work proved to be offending her health, as the very smell of America did sit well with her stomach. The over-saturated smell of grease or the assorted mess of sloppy food insulted her highness' palette, and once again did chefs offer samples or discounts for meals.

Maybe she should ask Father to help her try this stuff... by help, she meant remake it so it doesn't have her throw up.

"Morning, are you up yet?" She texted to Hana.

"Hey, are you okay? You didn't call..." For Haruka.

"Yeah, see, I'm not so sure about this." Pacifica commented.
"Uhuh... I think I should eat here just to make you guys feel uncomfortable." Hana laughed.
"Absolutely not! No!"
"Pacifica-senpai, what's the problem?" Coral, one of the newer idols asked.
"N-nothing, go back to practicing." Pacifica said as if she was turning away, embarrassed.
"Haaai." Coral went off to return to work.
"You know I hate these right..." Pacifica's attention was now back at Hana.
"Yeah I think I'm going to go eat some fish here." Hana began to walk towards the door. She could hear a loud screaming from her deck case.
"NONONONONONONO. YOU. DO. NOT. EAT. FISH."

Suddenly her phone vibrated. It seems like it was a text from Yukino. Hana texted back,
"I woke up early for morning practice, I'm in Time's Square, in front of the Seafood Restaurant near the hotel. ` <3 BELLA "

She continued walking just to keep teasing the half-fish girl who was under the sea.

Yukino sweat nervously, realizing she'd have to get even closer to this country's excuse for seafood to meet with Hana. What happened to the days where the princess would be hanging at an amusement park?! Yunos promptly told her to suck it up, but the queen wasn't having any of his tough guy attitude guilt-tripping her into eating. Once again, for the first time in a long time, she was yelling at no one visible to anyone around. Remembering that she agreed with Ezel that she was insane, any attempts to convince the masses of otherwise were discarded in vain.

Quickly dashing to the rendezvous spot, there was hopes of taking this away from the restaurant.

"Hana!" The woman called out.

"NOOOOOOOOOOOOO" The mermaid began fake crying as she inched closer to the door.
"Oh man, calm down I was just kidding." Hana tried to comfort her.

Speaking of feeling sick, Yukino had called out to her. She waved back, and just like Pacifica, it was obvious just by her expression while approaching the pace that she didn't like this restaurant either.

"Yeah, don't worry, I was only here to mess with the mermaid."

"Thank you God- I mean, how's your morning?" Yukino hastily tried to change the subject while putting up a front that she wouldn't be sick. No way, she was the Chosen Swordswoman! She could take it! That is, until Ezel suggested taking a couple bites of sushi if that was the case. The queen retorted by telling him to get a damn haircut, and the two nearly got into an argument before Ahmes took the lion away.

"Buncha babies..." Yunos insulted his Vanguard and the mermaids.

"Say the phrase here." Pacifica giggled.
"Which one?..." She paused for a moment then raised her head in realization, "Oh!"

"Gr8 r8 8/8 m8." Hana said with a thumbs up.

Though, she was actually hungry, that was the whole reason for ending up in front of a restaurant in the first place. Of course, she didn't like fast food since it was largely unhealthy. Fish on the other hand would've been fine, but the problem was that the mermaids weren't ok with it. Chicken sounded good... chicken salad? Since the concert was tomorrow Hana had to make sure not to ruin her diet since the goal was so close. Would be a waste to suddenly get out of shape before the show just because of bad eating habits.

"I'm actually still hungry, and I kind of have no choice right now, so I have to find a place with healthy stuff like grilled chicken and suh lads."

"Eh?" Yukino didn't speak memes.

"Great, rate eight out of eight, mate", Blaster Blade translated.

While trying to think of where Hana even got the idea for such a phrase, the little sister said she was hungry. This was problematic, as Yukino wanted to eat with her, but... The queen took a moment to contemplate choices. Grilled chicken didn't sound too bad, yet, this country would more than likely surprise her. On the contrary, salads were perfect, as there was no way to mess them up!

Right, time to step forward with the courage Ahmes gave her.

"Grilled chicken and salad it is. Though, I'd have no idea where to find it. I didn't get to look around New York much as I said yesterday. You'll have to be our guide."

As they passed several blocks of stores, apartments and skyscrapers, Haruka and Alexander arrived at the little diner at the corner intersection.

High Brooks Diner. Haruka was already starving so he wasted no time opening to door and walking towards an empty table.

"Alex, hurry up!" Haruka shortened the name because Haruka was bad with long words and ever letter off is easier on him in conversation.

Opening the menu, Haruka stared intently at the pictures of waffles and pancakes. He'd never tried them before, so he had no idea how they tasted. But he was scared to order because if they tasted bad, Haruka would've wasted a good bit of cash.

"Maybe just coffee and something like bacon..." Haruka muttered, somewhat transfixed on the menu.

Followed Haru into the diner with haste as hunger began to overtake their senses. Rushing as he heard his name called while spacing out at an advertisement outside. "Coming, Haru!" Taking the liberty to shorten his new friends name as well.

Alexander opened the menu, eyeing the pancakes with a feeling akin to love. "Well I know what I-" unable to finish his words as the sound of something snapping might have been possibly heard. A pained expression on his face after hearing Harus words though he swallowed the feeling as best as he could. 'Haha yeah. American fried food." The words feeling forced as he spoke them.

Turning to Haruka he'd ask in a jolly manner "So what are you getting? I think I'm getting pancakes with maple syrup and coffee." Looking ready to call the waitress the moment Haruka responded

Hana led the way, walking across the twists and turns of the area, being greeted by a few fans and fighters on her way, eventually ending up at a less hectic establishment. There were less people around. It was a newer restaurant that had opened up that encouraged healthy eating, something that not much people really looked for when touring around New York, but it was the perfect place for Hana.

Upon entering through the door, a few of the customers turned their heads to her and said hello, someone even talked about her concert which was tomorrow. This made Hana smile, making her feel even more excited and prepared to give it her best.

"Uh... Right." Haruka looks up, and nods to him, then goes back to his menu. Then looks up again, still vacantly looking. This was going really poorly. Haruka had no idea what any of this really tasted like and he was so superbly worried about losing money he almost started sweating. Even Sera considered ordering for him. Then Haruka just went with the failsafe option.

"Coffee is fine for me."

Came for the food, stayed for the royal brew.

New York is more complex than it looks, which led Yukino to judge that Americans are individuals who get some incomprehensible joy off of the unnecessary. She continued following Hana, noting the number of passing bystanders greeting the princess. A few of them glanced at the queen too, but more with cautious, questioning looks. "Isn't that the lady who almost bled out?" A child whispered. The kid's mother yanked away, going another path. Well, at least she was remembered... for her insanity.

Finally, they entered one of the sole establishments of the state that didn't make her stomach churn. Healthy food, scent of over-saturated grease nowhere to be found, and less of a crowd. "God bless", she muttered. Hearing more people speak to Hana about her upcoming debut had her lips curling into a smile. The girl was going to kick off soon, reaching her dreams.

Somehow she was approached with a strange question, or at the very least she wasn't sure of the answer. The salad bar sure didn't look like a card shop, it was just a salad bar. She looked around to see if any were playing Vanguard, and a few were, but not to the extent that this would be considered a hang out. Surely there were more places in New York where that could be.

"Um, I don't think so. This is a salad bar."

She then proceeded onwards to the register and scanned over what they had. There wasn't really much of a choice, it was more, choose the size of the salad and tell the employee what you wanted to mix in. The place basically had everything, from spinach to tomatoes, and every dressing imaginable. The chicken had a option of barbeque, grillied, fried, and seasoned. She turned back to Yukino to see what she wanted.

Feeling out of place and realizing it was a dumb question Sky stood there for a while scratching his head. He then turned towards Hana one more time "Sorry as you can tell i'm not from around here." Sky said with a chuckle. "I heard that there was a huge event around here pretty recently and I was hoping I could find some strong fighters to play against. Do you know if there's any place where I could find some fighters?"

Alexander eyed Harukas panicked indecisiveness, a "hmm" coming out as he studied the young man. Letting out a faint chuckle at his desperation over the simple task, his girlfriend must have had it hard with him indeed. He would pipe up and speak, trying to offer some aid. "You uh.... Need any help? I mean maybe you've never travelled before and all." Trying to give him an excuse to fall back on at the very least, being somewhat sympathetic to his troubles.

"If you want something fluffy and sweet you'd get some pancakes or waffles with maple syrup. If something protein filled you'd probably go for bacon and eggs, and uh. A salad can work...Y-You know what a salad is Haru, right?" The question posed hesitantly though with a bit of worry in the words. Hoping he was coming off as wanting to help at the least.

"A Vanguard fight?"

Hana didn't mind it here, she was looking forward to a performance from her clan since she had got it back after all. Though, its been awhile since she's performed by their side so there was also a sense of being timid from her. She shook it off and nodded at the fellow fighter. She really was hungry, but putting that aside for a bit wouldn't hurt.

"If you'd like, I can fight."

Haruka looked up, listening to the hesitant Alex. He was pretty okay with those things, being described to what food tastes like sounds childish, but its not his fault for never being exposed to those kinds of things back in Rijiku.

"Hmm.... I'll do pancakes then, I like sweet so that works." Haruka's demeanor had somewhat become childlike. His ability to take things too seriously had sort of gone down the drain when his only resolve was shredded like paper. He ended up just reverting to his younger years type of attitude, and let Sera take control of anything important. Which wasn't much recently, as far as Haruka could remember...

"And coffee. Pancakes and coffee." Alex was taking what felt like extreme measures to make sure Haruka didn't have a sudden fit of anxiety. Thankfully, he handled it well and they managed to order food.

Wow. The first challenge of today was ordering food and Haruka was already almost done with the day. Now he really felt like a little kid.

"Yeah it's a crossride, and no problem," She said as she looked back at Pacifica.

"I messed up, gomenasai," She apologized to Pacifica and the crew.

They didn't seem to mind. They were glad to be back with Hana, and Hana was glad to be back with them. Now it was time to eat, so Hana stood back up and head back to the register to do her order. Strangely enough, Pacifica's been talking about a bunch of new idol groups that were starting up. Sooner or later, Hana would have to give them all a shot and she was excited about that. Of course, Pacifica would be the one to show them all and teach them as head senpai of the mermaid clan.

The employee asked her what vegetables she wanted on her salad. She nodded and looked him straight in the eye, "Everything."

He sweat nervously.

Alexander nodded, the waitress with impeccable timing appearing in a jiffy. He turned to eye her, ordering for them both to get it out of the way faster before turning to face Haruka. Taking a moment to think what he might say though not coming up with much. Though luckily he would remember some details about him, opening about some of those.

"So how's having Kagero back?" Questioning with a tiny sparkle in his eye, if anything in the world excited him it would have been this game. Awaiting an answer as the food hurried onto it's destiny to be made to fit in them. An awkward thought when one embellishes like so.

"Oh, and maybe your girlfriend to boot. She doing any more weird mystical stuff?" The last question playfully thrown out, if anything it seemed teasing people was a past time of his.

Yukino had gotten herself a seafood salad as Hana fought with this stranger. "You could try online for finding more fighters in clubs", she suggested after the princess spoke to him. It was a memory of younger days when she looked into hangout spots before that conceived this idea. Of course, that was back when she was a snooty brat, something she didn't want to remember. It was good to see Bermuda Triangle back and in action with their friend as well, especially with Pacifica's evolution. Ezel questioned what the difference was, stating that Pacifica didn't look that different. The queen responded that it's the eyes.

"But those eyes are sata-"

Ahmes stopped him from speaking any further of dark lords.

Then, Hana giving a direct eye-contact order for a salad with every possible vegetable proved Ezel's theory. Pacifica was definitely her avatar.

Yukino giggled to herself, seeing the waiter sweat.

"That's a lot."

Haruka tried to force a smile when he was posed these questions but neither proved to make him any happier. In fact, those were two of the reasons Haruka himself sort of, well, broke. His entire recovery was because those two things had affected him so severely. He felt a bit weaker all of a sudden, not really wanting food but just to lie down.

"Eh... Kagero. They're nice I guess. Something is kinda missing in the equation, but that's alright." Haruka made a subtle note about not having Overlord anymore. It was sort of getting to him now, realizing that the unit that had made the game for Haruka something worth enjoying had up and vanished from his side. Overlord was out there, he wasn't sealed anymore... but why did he leave him? This question was something that lingered in Haruka's head for a bit now.

"Yukino. Err. I couldn't tell you. She's somewhere I guess. Probably not on Cray, since she's been texting me and calling me. I don't think they have service there. Probably. But truth be told... it was a bit wrenching to see her just... bleed. And then disappear. I don't even know. Last I heard she was at her manor..."

He shrugged with a slight unsteadiness in his movements, taking a sip of the coffee that the waitress promptly got for them. His hands were sort of shaky, receiving the cup, but he was fine overall. The service here was quick though, which is a plus.

Nice!

"It's enough for two to share." The worker was still throwing things into the bowl.

Next up was the dressing, the the chicken. It ended up being a really giant bowl of salad. Certainly enough for two to ten people. At least there was enough to bring home to Mi-hime and possibly the rest of the hotel staff. It all totaled to a small number which was small at least for the Espoir family standards.

She took the giant bowl and sat down. People were either looking at awe at her or the bowl. She was hoping it was the bowl because she was proud of this really giant bowl of leaves.

"... That looks like more than for two", a wide-eyed Yukino noted as the extravagant bowl of leaves was delivered. If only Dad Espoir was here... he could finish what they wouldn't be able to. They could box up some to take home and keep in edible condition, at least. Everyone back at the manor wouldn't mind trying New York's cuisine, hopefully. The queen was actually lost for a minute, unsure of how to start digging into this monster salad. Never mind the chicken. She was busy just looking around it to estimate measurements of the dish.

"I said two to... like fifteen...twenty.." Hana started eating, but it doesn't look like she was making a single dent on it. Whenever her fork would grab a bite, another layer would fall down and replace what she had taken. It was almost as if the salad was regenerating. It still tasted really good, though since it had basically everything, each bite had a different taste which was fun all in all.

"So what have you been doing? Glad to have the Blasters back?"
Title: Re: (NYC) Field: Times Square

Yukino took a couple bites herself. It felt good to be willingly eating instead of forcing meals just to live. However, the queen already knew they were never going to finish this bowl anytime this year. Akane, back at the Sanctuary, joked that only one with the greed of the demon world marquis could devour such a dish. The more she ate, the more the redhead was sounding right.

"I'm glad everything's back and more. I haven't been doing anything but preparing to move on."

When the declaration to go to Cray was made, Yukino wasn't sure if Hana was awake or not. It was assumed the princess didn't know, so the subject was avoided until she felt ready to say.

"Oh." Was the sound he made after Haruka finished speaking, a look of displeasure fitting on his face with worry mixed. He had not stepped into just one emotional landmine but a dozen. He had inadvertently hurt his friend to be, a unforgivable action.

"I'm sorry, I guess I should have asked something lighter huh?" Trying to voice out his apology with the tone of his words as well. A small sigh followed after, deciding to reveal some information of his own.

"Something weirds happened with my cards as well to be fair, I've got Shadow Paladin back. Though, even if they feel different than before I feel odd having them. I did bad things with them before, so I'm a bit scared I'll do the same things. Yet at the same time I'm relieved they're back? Like old friends you made a mistake with, and you see them after awhile." The young man trying to word out his worries, the thoughts weighing on him for a bit. Truth be told he didn't feel like the person he used to be, he wasn't angry at the world anymore, and was truthfully hoping to become a better person than he ever was.

"I guess I'm hopeful and cautious. And willing to do well." Seemingly having decided on an answer, to a certain degree. Maybe talking about it out loud helped him? A certain part of Alexander also hoped that by sharing his own woes, itd help Haruka along with his. Sharing pain with one another tended to go better than bottling it up anyway often.

"Well, better not take too long to get moving..." She continued to eat, but she was just about full.

She placed her fork down and raised her hand to ask for a few boxes. The worker saw the giant bowl and offered to help them once Yukino was done eating. There wasn't much going through Hana's mind other than what her sister was planning to really do. She thought that it would be cool if she would maybe make an incentive past the beach concert to really make something happen, but another side of her had already lost hope in the woman.

"Eh... Right then..." Haruka sipped his coffee, holding the cup with both hands. He didn't want to impose anything on Alexander, considering they were still just recently friends. He ended up forcing a smile to him, trying to allow himself to relax. Haruka was really bad at relaxing under situations he hadn't been in before, such as questions about Yukino and his old ace. His best friend.

Things became clear when Alexander made mention of Shadow Paladins. That was his original clan? Fitting, in some ways Haruka supposed. But it wasn't exactly the way Haruka imagined Alex. He saw him as a fun, mostly cheerful guy in the end. There was something a bit off about him to begin with, but Haruka really couldn't judge the guy considering his own state at the moment.

He spent some time staring into his coffee. looking at his reflection. The feeling of being a shell was rising again. He felt sick. Very... very sick.

"Will you excuse me? For a moment..." Haruka proceeds to leave his seat and nearly dash into the restroom off to the back side of the diner.

Alexander somewhat did the same as Haruka, eyeing his coffee. Having stuffed it with sugar and milk while sipping it from time to time. Though he would scan the area around him, looking outside as people went about their daily lives as if the incident two days ago was only another stepping stone towards tomorrow. One day total memory of loss of a large part of their life, the next as if it never happened. Then his mind went to Neu, questioning himself this for a moment.

"The American national champ, huh." Mumbling this as he looked to be thinking something about her. He was curious as to her motivations, and what would have pushed her to do all those things? Though, in the end it seemed like it was a happy ending type scenario, with Alexander vividly remembering Tsubasa carrying her out of one of those magical rift portal things. It seemed he had a lot of questions that needed answering, and boy was he going to find them somehow.

Though for now his mind returned to the daily life at hand, glancing at Haru as he spoke before giving a nod. "Oh, alright. Maybe the food will be here by the time your back" He'd hopefully say, believing in this image.

Mind whirring, Haruka finds himself in the bathroom, staring at a mirror. His insides turning and his heart racing like the motor on a sports car. All he can think of is getting back to sleep. His body is failing, overheating, and exhausted all at one time. There is little to no way Haruka can stay here, not with this extreme nausea. Probably a fever or something...

Haruka races out of the bathroom, holding his stomach and slaps down a few bills on the table where Alex.

"I'm going home.. text me if you need me.." Haruka proceeds to dash out of the diner, tripping over his feet into the New York evening. Something his chest was burning a hole in him. What in the world? The night seemed to become blurry in his vision as he got on the bus, a quicker trip back to the hotel than taking it by foot.

Found himself tending to his business, the food having arrived as he stuffed into his pancakes. Eating them happily as he enjoyed their taste surprisingly. Then came Haruka bursting in, catching him by surprise but being unable to react as he zoomed on by. Alexander eyed the money as he caught a glimpse of his words, feeling a pit sink in his stomach. Having had to turn his friendly evening into a solo one.

"Ah.. Hope their okay." Thinking this thought, eating his food with less fervor. He would return back to the hotel room after finishing his meal as he eyed over the cards once more. They seemed renewed, a burning determination within their faces as they seemed prepared to tackle the enemy with all their might. The battleorids looking fiercer than ever, and the determined white beast looking to be the leader of their charge.

"Well, we'll see where we make it then." Having firmed his resolution to see things to the end with the clan, and to make peace with his faults.

"America... is terrifying..." Yukino groaned, unable to eat any more of the salad. People who actually made bowls these big were crazy, in fact, this country's palette is completely insane. Dad Espoir and the others better enjoy this mess, because Yukino was making a mental note to never visit New York again, let alone the rest of the country.

There really was only one place that Hana realistically wanted to visit, and it was the center of Time's Square. She led Yukino there, really excited to see it as she''s only heard of it as "a work in progress." A stage was set on top a of a central building, a centerpiece among the numerous skyscrapers. It was hard to imagine in the noon. It still wasn't complete and the lights weren't turned on, but the size was enough to make Hana freeze in awe. It was certainly a dream come true to preform on top of such a large stage, in Time's Square even more so. She imagined the lights and all the screens projecting her performance, the audience standing where she is now, looking up at the stage. The lights, the fireworks, and the music.  Hana started breathing very deeply, and started to fan herself in excitement.

"HANA-CHANNN CALM DOWNNNN!!" Pacifica was not calm.

The queen was rather surprised with how much was invested into this debut stage, being atop a building as well for even more emphasis on how grand the concert will be. It was an amazing view, though, she didn't think it the safest place for people who wish to watch live, up close. Even so, the entirety of the Espoir blood would view this stage with pride, knowing what transpires. Yukino placed a hand on the thrilled idol-to-be's shoulder.

"It all kicks off tomorrow, the official debut of Isabella, taking America by storm."

A hand on her shoulder and a touch from Yukino brought back memories of her childhood, when Yukino would cheer her on while they played games together, and then fast forward to the events of three months ago where she would do the same whenever she talke about her dreams and everything. a hand on her shoulder with words of encouragement, surely it wasn't much, but in the performance world, an actions impact was all about timing. A certain pop right at the slam of a drum, or burst of vocals piercing through an instrumental silence was what would often give crowds goosebumps. It wasn't that Yukino did some awe inspiring act her that reached Hana, it was the fact that she just simply did what she did at the right time. The childlike and bubbly personality that had been hidden behind a cold facade all along was stripped away by Hana's love for performance world. It tore it down enough for Yukino to get through and for Hana's strong imagination to back track and get lost within memories of the best, further reminding Hana of how she formerly was. She more or less wasn't thinking, she was still forzen from the sight of the stage and even moreso seeing the night lights of the venue turning on and lighting it up. She was too lost in the excitement to think, so she reacted naturally woth a smile and she held her sister's hand.

"Arigatouuu Arigatouu Yukinee!!" she paused for a bit and there was look in here eye matching up with her sudden realization. "Er-... yeah.."

Yukino had froze, and wished time would remain still like it did when she first kissed Haruka. The joyous high that came with mindblowing moments like these for her - ones that ensure a hellish parasite wouldn't hold onto heart again. Finally, the queen found a gap in a steel shield to break through. This nickname that she had to earn back, the proof in their bond that was to be worked for escaped Hana's lips. The suffocating miasma that choked her went away after the princess spoke. Tears came rolling down cheeks, and arms wrapped themselves around the back, embracing Hana.

Thank you? Your welcome? Words couldn't come out, there was so much she could say in response... This hug was all she could do to convey this feeling of happiness.

It took her by surprise this time, her sister suddenly putting her arms around her. It was really at the right time, more or less, Hana ha been wearing an armor to hide her frailness for so long. It was cold inside and it was heavy. It kept her from getting hurt again and pushing away and no longer opening up to her sister more was what she felt would do just that, keep her away from the pain she felt when she learned about how she did what she did had tried to do. it was that she felt that her efforts were thrown away, and that if she stopped trying then they could never be thrown away again. Hana wanted to liberate herself from this pain, and she kept trying to find ways where Yukino would hurt her or disappoint her and she kept using them to convince herself that it was all alright and ok, its better to act cold and be strong. At some point, the armor weighed too heavily on her shoulders, and they kept even the happy things out, rather than only protecting her from the negatives that she no longer wanted to keep around.

Mi-hime also taught her to return to her old self. There are some aspects that she fully cannot ever replicate again, but the joyous and carefree feeling was enough. She hugged Yukino back, its been awhile but it was so obvious by just how her body felt, Yukino wasn't really in tip top of her health. Hana wasn't sure if she was readyto forgive, but giving her effort to see what would happen would at least be a good thing to try, so she did.

"You need to eat more... skipping meals is bad..." She rested her head on Yukino's shoulder, "Mmm... I'm kind of just tired of acting how I was... so I really want you to succeed this time."
Title: Re: (NYC) Field: Times Square

Yukino squeezed her sister tightly, not letting go of what she was finally starting to earn back. The queen chuckled at the bit about skipping meals, knowing it was right. Her bones ached sometimes... she had dizzy spells, and even passed out back at home at some point. Malnourished, she could at least boast she lost weight... in the worst way possible. Even after the war's end, even after coming back from the rift, it was a slow process in getting back to normal. She was trying... and it looked like Hana acknowledged that.

"I'm sorry... I... can't promise success.. But I'll do better than I have... I'll try everything I can to succeed."

Failure was a part of life... yet, still how she yearned to succeed. It wasn't something that could simply be reached out to and obtained. No... There was a way to get it, and all there was to do was to find out. The woman didn't want to lie and say she'd just do it, so she apologized. Apologized for not being absolute, and apologized for what she had done.

"No more cold shoulder... please?"

"Alright..." she looked back up at the sky.

After the long embrace, she pointed at the sky. The city light created layer upon layer of barricades that kept the natural lighf from the stars from being visible in the night sky.Hana spotted a lone star in among the heavens which stretched to infinity. It shone brightly, standing all alone, but it certainly was the strongest of all.

"Do you know why I think idols are called stars? A star's light travels for millions upon millions of years to reach our eyes. We cannot even begin to fathom the journey it took to get where it has reached, but whether we do or don't, it has gone the distance. So many things out there reflect and redirect that light, and yet it's gone beyond those things, becoming what we see now. The final obstacle to reach us was the lights of the town itself. Light versus light, and it didn't let that stop it either. It shines confidently." There was something that Hana wanted to say, it was really something that she wanted to let her sister know. Be confident?..

"You may not be an idol in a literal sense, but if you want to really be a good role model, a good idol, then I think that you should be more confident in yourself first and foremost. Not egotistic, not a diva, but an inspiring kind of confidence. The scholars of Great Nature taught me that I should never speak in absolutes, its ignorant and uneducated they say. The cheese heads in the United Sanctuary say so otherwise, if something isn't absolute, then you'll fight confidently and make it so. Failure is part of the risk when being a Knight, you put your lives on the light for those whom you protect, and last I checked, I knighted you when you were asleep a few months ago. Don't know if Blaster Cheesehead told you."
Title: Re: (NYC) Field: Times Square
Post by: Cherry on September 11, 2015, 02:40:11 AM
"B-Blaster... C-Cheesehead...?" Ahmes doubled over.

Yukino's bladed eyes watched the lone star shining about. A journey that a star took... it was probably long and arduous. Tedious and painful even, when compared to the spiked floored paths they walked. Still, like said star, this road lead them here, and there was more of it forward, not backward. Gold Paladin was founded for the sake of the alliance, but the entire clan quickly changed its purpose to liberating the heroes from their slumber. Now that they did so, they reached a point of falling action in their journey. ... That purpose being fulfilled didn't have to stop them from symbolizing how far the Sanctuary as a whole got.

"I'm... going to keep my promise to you that I made back home. The one about being the sister you envisioned me as. I might fumble and screw up again, but... um..." Yukino was already fumbling on her words, not sure if saying "I'll try" twice in a row would be a good idea. She didn't really know what she'd do, and that scared her. Messing up again terrified her even. With this unshakable fear, there was still resolution kept in heart. Biting her lip and chewing for a moment, she continued: "I'll do what I can to find confidence in myself again, and be a better role model."

"... Wait, you dubbed me a knight?"
Title: Re: (NYC) Field: Times Square
Post by: Hope on September 11, 2015, 03:01:12 AM
"Yep. I had confidence that you would be able to overcome the trials and certainly uphold the standards of one. Also out of formality since you were going to fight alongside the Paladins. Be one of them and carry the honor of the Sanctuary and the King with you through your actions. Also you were dubbed a wielder of a sword, not the sword itself so... Dad-san told me you felt that you were an object or something, well that was kind of never the case at least title-wise."

As a Knight, Yukino also kind of has to stay healthy, but Hana decided thag she's already talked about that enough. The talk of the action that she took of giving the title months ago brought back how she felt back then. An unconditional confidence in Yukino's ability backed by an unconditional love for her as family was really why Hana did it, but for now, the formal reasons should suffice. Maybe Yukino could fill in the blanks.

"Yeah... something about how I'm not a weapon, but I make them..." Yukino replied, unsure of how to feel about being dubbed a knight. Fighting with Paladins is what she wanted to do, did, and still wants. Going to Cray would continue that. But to have been one this whole time... It felt happy to get there, and at the same time, a little sick with the fact that she's done a horrendous job as one. "... Sorry", she muttered.

... The queen choked back telling Hana about Cray. Perhaps it was best to save it for after the concert, and not now.

The final day.

It was the last day before the competitors of the circuit have to return to japan in a few hours. He heard that there is a concert that is going to feature Yukino's sister, Hana. He dosen't know if he wants to attend or not, they weren't his thing anyway. At the moment he's just walking around aimlessly.

It had been an interesting past few days, and Seifer had left the hospital just before Neo had woken up. He wasn't sure how he was going to tell him or the rest of them. Tsubasa was indeed right, but there was no guarantee that he'd be able to keep his new friends. But that's all he wanted, he wanted his friends at his side. Sighing the male resolved himself to tell the rest of them, after the concert. At least, that's what he believed. There was no real telling what he'd end up doing. Seifer continued to wander around Times Square, thinking about everything that had happened up to this point, the friends he'd made, fights he'd been in. And he'd even gotten Kagero back. Pulling his deck out again, and leaning against a wall in an alleyway, he stared quietly at the cards.

The crew had a quick dinner followed by the last bit of practice, a run through of the full show. Hana was able to meet all the celebrities and artists who had come to attend, many wishing her good luck and giving their support to her at the kick off of her career. She had arrived at the venue in her early European-styled outfit, wearing a white button-up blouse with a red ribbon and long black skirt. On her head was the hat that Drake had bought for her, a white summer hat, topped with more ribbons and various fruits. The announcer from the New York stage was set to kick off the celebration, diving right into the opening act. At the peak of the building that Hana now stood in was stage, and she could feel her heart pumping quickly, freezing her excitement, creating yet another moment that she wished would last forever. She huddled up with the other artists and they threw around a little bit of the inspirational pep-talk, Drake cried about his girlfriend, Taylor Swift cried about her boyfriend, Beyonce was great as always, and Hana laughed and shared a great moment along with the rest of them.

Outside in the Time's Square, the streets have been closed off a large crowd had gathered. Helicopters and all kinds of vehicles from various media outlets have arrived to cover the story of a girl who is known as the "Voice of Hope," and the "Rising Star." Isabella Hope was the name that she had become prominent for in the media, and Hana actually really liked the name. The lights of the stage opened up and a spotlight was set. The crowd roared as the announcer made his appearance, his voice ringing through the numerous sound system set throughout the square. The screens projected his enthusiasm as he announced he beginning of the concert which would be screened all over the world.

"Good luck!" Hana yelled from back stage, as the first act had made their way to pump up the crowd.

Seifer himself made his way there alone, his hands in his pockets as he decided to watch as well. From where he was, anyone who actually knew him would recognize him immediately since everyone had already seen him in his vest and he was probably the only one wearing one of that type.

Haruka made it pretty quickly. Earlier in the day Haruka tried Yukino's cell upwards of 8 or 9 times, and nothing came of it. While a bit upset, it made dealing with the situation easier in the end. It would be easier to discuss everything back home anyways, New York probably wasn't the place to mention things like what happened at the fight hall.

The concert was already started, so Haruka wasted no time and immediately ran out to find Neo and Seifer setting up. Joining their group was probably best, not knowing who else was here made it difficult to find a group otherwise. He waved over to Seifer and Neo with a childish grin.

"Hey guys." He walked over, pocketing his hands and nodding to the two of them, then looking back to the stage. He was really excited to see Hana up there tonight and see how she did. She was a natural born star it felt. Haruka was somewhat suspicious that Miyuki would show up too, considering her and Miyuki both bore that limelight shine, but it wasn't that likely so Haruka just discarded the thought. Sitting through Drake without crying was tough though.

"I see. So there'll be a change in plans", Yukino spoke to her father over the phone, a little distance from the concert hall. The rift to the other planet had closed, and the ancestral Espoir didn't leave another way in. The queen was naturally disappointed. The man inquired as to why she didn't just go in when it was there, and she responded with the fact that there was unfinished business.

"Good answer", he replied. "Don't give up yet, I'll find something for you to get your training as a knight at least."

"Thank you, father", gratitude was expressed. She still didn't give up on the idea of becoming a knight of the Sanctuary and integrating with her Paladins. There just had to be another way to it. Tonight, after Hana's concert, she'd tell the princess of her probable departure. Staying home wouldn't help fulfill her ambitions alone. Being here in New York, waiting for Isabella's turn coming up next told her this. Hanging up, she shoot Haruka a text containing: "We need to talk." As something was obviously wrong from the sheer fact that her boyfriend's voice didn't reach her ears in days.

A couple of Royal and Shadow Paladins tried to cheer her up, along with some of the red lion corps assisting. The queen laughed and spoke: "I'll still be fighting with you guys, don't you worry."

Tsubasa took Neu on her wheel chair and took her to the concert area, beyond anything he was glad that he could spend sometime with her and everyone, on this eventful night.

"...Hey guys, it's good to see you all, glad that we all could make it." he said, slowly pushing Neu and bringing the both of them near everyone.

As Neo, Haruka, Tsubasa and Neu joined him he grinned his eyes shut halfway. "Hey there all of you." his face settled into a regular smile as he turned to face the group that now was around him. Grinning however at Tsubasa and Neu in particular, he decided to tease and have just a little bit of fun. "You two are cute together. Kinda funny really." he smirked before looking back at the stage and running a hand through his hair.

Haruka turned around to see Tsubasa and.... Neu? Wait. What? And in a wheelchair?

Vegeta...

"Hey, it's good to see you too man. Glad you guys could make it." Haruka gives a nod to both Tsubasa and Neu. The last time him and Neu talked was when Sera had given off a bad vibe at the coffee shop. They were probably not on very good terms but he wasn't about to just ignore her or make her uncomfortable. A friend of Tsubasa's was more than likely a friend worth having.

As he finishes his greetings, a text hits his phone. It's Yukino.

Right.

"I'll  be right back, need to make a call."

Haruka walks off towards an alleyway off by the sides where it was quieter. Calling people was more difficult than you thought in NY, nobody can hear you because its so obnoxiously noisy, that it becomes extremely tedious to even hear yourself think clearly.

Ring.... Ring.... Ring....

Alexander rushed out of the hotel room, trying to make in on time as he almost forgot his deck to boot. His feet smacking against the ground loudly as he zoomed his way past dozens of people. It was his last chance to maybe see some of the champions, and at least ask Haruka in person if he was feeling okay. He felt apprehensive about calling and asking him, their relationship not being that close to begin with.

Arriving there he would miraculously spot Haruka, Seifer the Great Nature champ, Tsubasa and two people he had yet to meet. Rushing up to them he'd tap Haruka on the back as he zoomed in front. Giving a tiny wave to the five as he threw out a cheery "Hello!" To them before speaking some more in the same jolly voice.

"Guess I made it in time, huh? Oh I'm Alexander you two. Nice to meet ya'." Speaking to Neo, Seifer, and Neu, though likely he was just trying to jog Seifers and Tsubasas memory. His hand would extend to everyone but Haruka a handshake, though he seemed rather excited to be at the concert even if before he was apprehensive about going to it. Maybe he enjoyed music? One might tell from the headphones he wears around his neck.

Yukino answered her phone.

"Hey, Haruka..." She was unsure where to start. "How come you didn't call me before...?"

It was a little shameful to admit but she was sort of needy about the situation. The woman didn't want to dig into her lover and make him feel bad, but she didn't want to take this matter lightly either.

After the first and second performance of the night, Hana was jumping up and down in excitement in the backstage. The show has only just begun, but she noticed that the crowd beginning to become even larger and larger. She was squealing uncontrollably, as a crew of older men and a lady walked by. They were dressed in black, and it literally looked like a band of dudes old enough to be her uncles. She felt like she could recognize them.

Once their first song played, it became very obvious.

This band, was the mysterious the one that played in the mysterious MP3 player within every Cardfighter's head. JAM PROJECT, with hits such "Believe in my Existence," and "Limit Break" which played during final turns and inspirational speeches during fights. Hana just couldn't believe it.

The crowd stayed silent for a moment, sort of like a "wtf it was them all along," but also because they were getting quite the treat.

"I swear they were in The Place Where They Slumber the whole time I fought," Neu commented to herself as she heard the current performance. "....Catchy."

Tsubasa had pushed her all the way from the hospital, letting them share some conversations on the way. It was peaceful and far better than her driving. Upon meeting up with the rest of the crew, she was greeted with Seifer's comment.

"Uh!? What's that supposed to mean. Ahhh nothing funny, man I just needed someone to bring me here and he was the one that visited me at the time ok??" She tried to shrug her shoulders. Neu would do that thing here if she could. Another individual ran up to them, it was becoming a real big gathering, which she didn't mind. Actually, she really welcomed this. Lots of fun.

"Hey Alexander!" She greeted him. Then she realized that she hadn't actually met him yet.

Neu, your omnipotence is showing.

"I mean, hello mysterious stranger!"

"I... Wait didn't call-" Haruka has a mini flashback to calling Yukino in the park earlier this afternoon. He looks up at the evening sky chewing his lip, deciding to leave that bit out to her.

"Sorry. Busy I guess. What's so important, sweetheart? Actually, where are you even...?" Haruka leans against a wall in the alley, sliding down slowly to a crouched position, listening carefully. Yukino might be just as on edge as he was recently and didn't want to trigger anything too bad before the trip back from New York. Things were already harsh on him as is. These dreams and everything just kind of disappearing on him was taking a toll on his psyche more or less.

JAM PROJECT was playing and Haruka began humming to "Believe in my Existence". He was confused as to why he knew the tune but never heard of the band before...

"We... haven't talked in awhile. I thought things would be better with the war ending, but it doesn't feel like it when we're not seeing each other..." Yukino spoke, ultimately revealing her needy nature. They just texted each other and this was the one time in days they conversed over phone. She had wanted leave on a happy note with her boyfriend if possible, and that didn't seem like it would happen.

"I'm by a hotdog stand a little ways from the concert hall."

This one guy refused to go in, despite people telling him his business would be better if he just sold his food inside. He flipped his gothic hair, stating that the light of the event would melt away the sweet embrace of darkness that caresses his scarred soul.

Men in white were probably on their way. A delivery to the loony house was to be made.

"Hey Alexander, it's good that you were able to make it." he said, with a smile.

Tsubasa looked around him....as the music was playing , everyone entranced in that moment, it was as if at that moment we had all finished a stage in our lives all of us transcending in our own ways.

"...I wish this moment would last forever...." he said, uncontrollably. "...I'm glad I met you all."

He turns to see Neu's dress shining in the moonlight alongside the song, and begins to smile as the song was slowly coming to a close.

He kneels down near Neu, touches her hand, and says,"..Thank you for being here....you look amazing."

Seifer continued to quietly watch the concert, trying not to think about what would happen when he returned home. It bothered him a great deal more than it should of but there wasn't much he could do about it. "Whatever it is, we gotta accept it and push through." He hesitated for a moment. He knew the concert wasn't over yet, but he wanted to do something at the very least. Sticking his hand out in a fist he kept his eyes shut halfway, looking at everyone that was still around him, Alexander included. "Whatever happens... Let's try to stay friends, yeah?"

Haruka opened his mouth, as if he had something important to say. Quite frankly the only thing running through his head is how to deal with the current situation. How would he even approach her if he saw her? Could he look at her the same the way he is now? Without some real form of closure to what happened at New York, Haruka had no idea how to feel about anything. With Overlord wiped from his life and his girlfriend slowly slipping from his grasp, things didn't seem to be going well at all.

"Hmm... I'll be out there in a minute. Wait for me." Haruka clicks his cell phone shut and starts to dash out front of the hall. Normally this would be normal for him, running around for what felt like an aimless purpose. But he wanted to fix things. Sera was completely against the act and even attempted a forced takeover to stop him, but Haruka wanted to at least try to fix things. This is the first time the two experienced a disconnect, it wouldn't be fair to not give her a chance.

Outside the hall, stands a hotdog guy... What?

Oh, and Yukino. Standing behind him. Ughhh.

The owner of said hotdog stand has his black hair covering his eyes, but they still conveyed a dark, focused gazed on a potential new customer.

Before he could speak, Yukino walked past him, acting as a barrier between the men.

She longed to see Haruka for so long. The problem was that now her beloved was in range of direct contact, she wasn't sure how to go about it. Words didn't come out each time her mouth opened.

"Ah wow, you guys are quite the crowd. Think I saw some of your fights even. Oh, wait aren't you..." He would blink as he turned to face Neu, eyeing them for a moment unsure what to make of the situation though being able to piece the puzzle soon after. "Well, I guess Seifer was right about saying you were their friend at least." Speaking this out loud even when he was the rather obvious outlier of the group, humming as he stroked his chin lightly.

Moments passed as he heard Seifer, Tsubasa and Neo speak. A tiny wave to them as two of them spoke their names, and a nod given go Alexander with a content look on his face. "Say, Haruka seemed pretty tense. Guess he got a call from his g-. Ah, right, a iffy topic." Stopping himself from speaking as he remained silent for a few moments, answering the words of Neo and Seifer.

"Destiny's a bit tricky you know." A teasing tone to Neo, his next words to the rest of the group. "Say uh, I only got Harukas number but if any of you feel comfortable swapping numbers that'd be neat."

The crowd was roaring in applause after the magical voices had taken the stage. It was like they just met their inner conscience. They actually weren't on the list of people scheduled to perform, yet there was a spot reserved for them in the schedule, it was weird. Hana saw then run off after their turn and assumed that they were on their way back to the sea of everyone's subconscious. True heroes.

Next up was Drake and Rhianna, preforming together on the stage. On his way out, Drake removed his hat and gave it to Hana. She was honored.

Drake did the rapping, Rhianna did the singing. "Take Care" (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LQ1cE0rt0cY)

Rhianna's voice carried through the night, its mystique, filling the the night with a tone of mystery and chill complimented by the moonlight. Drake was thinking of his ex-girlfriend so it was pretty deep when he started rapping too. Hana saw him crying some time after the song started.

"It'll be alright man..." She whispered to herself hoping that it would somehow reach him, "Just do your best... you only live once..."

"O-Of course I look beautiful! Man, what are you talking about, yeah thanks for the compliment and all, but OH GOD WHY ARE YOU LEANING DOWN TOWARDS ME LIKE THAT JIWENGINGIENWIGNI. Uh, Yeah I'll. Oh. Drake. Right. Man, ok yeah." Her face turned red, and she averted her eyes in order to avoid eye contact with him, "...Yeah thanks for being here too, taking someone like me with you.."

She was flustered. This sure frightened and made her heart pump more than playing in the national finals, RNGesus Christ.

Haruka gulped, taking in the scenery. Yukino looked beautiful as normal, but different things were happening in his head then what he saw.

The sound of Take Care resounded through the hallway they were in, bass booming off the walls. Haruka pulls his hands out of his pockets, and walks up to Yukino, centimeters apart. There was two ways he could go about this. The easy way, and the fun way. Both of which he was okay with, but neither of those were the good way to go about it.

"What happened... These past days, what happened...?" Haruka was simply shaking his head at her, unsure of what was happening anymore. Maybe Yukino knew about Overlord's disappearance or about the whole Cray portal or just, something. He needed something at this point.

On an off-note, Drake was bumping it up on stage. Nice. Rhianna sounded good as always as well. Haruka needed to update his playlist soon.

Neu's reaction made Tsubasa smile, if anything he was enjoying every minute he spent with her, due to the circumstances. He heard the guys chatting about destiny on the side and felt like he should step in and maybe collect the phone number's he's missing.

"..Destiny you say..." he says, as he walks up to them.

"..In all honesty...if this game has taught me anything it's that you can make your own destiny...but yes it is tricky..a few days ago this girl and all of you guys were my rivals..but now we are more than that..." he said, trying not to sound super cheesy, but he never once regretted letting them know how much they all mean to him.

"..Speaking of creating your own destiny...want to exchange numbers everyone?" he asked, taking out his phone.

Alexander would whip his phone out, ready to collect numbers like a mad man. He never knew where his mom might relocate for work, and the opportunity to stop by other peoples areas always proved present, having a few contacts to call wouldn't hurt in the least at that point.

"My mom tends to move from time to time for her work, so maybe I'd end up meeting you guys if I ever drop by your cities or towns. We could play a few games." His words at the end said with a smirk, he seemed rather happy about the chance to play against the people around him, having seen their skills either on screen or while watching from the crowd.

"So, my phone number is..." Speaking the number for everyone to heard, awaiting to type his in as he typed theirs.

"... I... don't know, but..." Yukino began, completely unaware of Haruka's situation with being unable to speak with Overlord. She certainly hasn't heard a single word about it, and simply assumed the Dragon Empire was busy getting back to their usual militarism plannings. So, she decided on talking of her upcoming departure.

"I spoke with Ezel for awhile when I fell in the rift... He invited me to Cray to become a knight after this war was over, to live in the Sanctuary... I didn't tell anyone, because I wasn't sure how to... I was scared of how everyone would react... I guess you weren't talking to me because of that...?" Yukino was saddened by the thought another person's feelings being hurt by her choices.

"I'm trying to say that staying home won't help me change into someone better for everyone - someone better for you... But that's an excuse. I just... kind of want to run away in a hole somewhere... Being here knowing how I acted is painful... I still didn't consider how you felt about it... I didn't consider how anyone felt, I never do...

I'm sorry, Haruka."

The woman looked down, avoiding eye contact with her boyfriend as proof of the anxiety that developed. Maybe everything she said had no merit, and cowardice was a form of overreacting. Perhaps Haruka was bothered by a different matter entirely, and was busy because of it. He might not have wanted to hear any of this. Once again, she spoke without thinking, feeling the need to have answered his "what happened?" questioning.

The Chief Nurse pushed through the crowd, holding bags upon bags of Isabella Hope merchandise that she made herself using Hana's old photos, which was probably really embarrassing. "I must see my daughter at once!!" She yelled as she passed nudged past the crowd, putting herself at the front, past the excited crowd. All the while, they were staring at her as if she was some loon, but a bunch recognized her as the famous "Chief Nurse Espoir," who travels all over the world healing all sorts of disease. Still, she was completely out of place.

"Is that Drake?!" She asked upon realization.
"Calm down," Shamsiel commented with a deep frustration in her voice.
"No???" Mother Espoir retorted.

Then they argued.

Haruka stands there dumbfounded. He wasn't sure whether or not to hit the poor girl and snap her out of it or to pull her into him and embrace her. There were so many things he couldn't even process the fact that any of them could happen in the first place. Yukino was terrified by the fact people might be angry at her for leaving, as an act of cowardice. That sparked Haruka a little, considering he always looked to Yukino when he thought 'bravery,' But she didn't seem to feel that way...

"Yukino..." He tried to bring out the right words but nothing happened. But not this time. No not this time, Haruka was going to say it right this time. He was going to say what he had to say from the start.

"I want you to stay here. With me. But I can't ask you to do that... And I'm not going to be happy about you up and leaving for a whole year..." Haruka pocketed his right hand, pinching the bridge of his nose. His shell was cracked. Everything inside felt like it was going to spill right out of him. There wasn't much he could tell her at this point. In fact, there wasn't anything else he wanted to speak on the manner. They were wasting time talking about terrible matters he didn't want to think about anyways when her sister was about to be singing up on stage in front of Yukino, in front of everyone. New York. The world?

He grabbed her hand, vacant glare on his face.

He leaned in for one small kiss, lasting only a few seconds.

"You can make it up to me by enjoying tonight with me." Haruka's impish simper shows through, as he is suddenly dashing off towards the music where Tsubasa, Neu and the rest of the friends were all settled up with Yukino in tow. This was a night Haruka wanted to remember, and only in a good way.

Seifer watched the group of friends he had with a soft smile on his face, giving his number to Alexander in return while recording the other male's in his phone. As Haruka returned with one Yukino in tow though he grinned a bit waving. He didn't have much to say, but the sight before him was pretty humorous.

Dad Espoir had a good idea of what his wife was doing and slammed his head into the nearest wall.

Now that he thought about it, Yukino was more like him, but Hana was more like Mother Espoir. And that woman drove him up a million walls and vice versa. Oh how he loved her and wanted to maybe get the Chief Nurse some medical attention in most of their arguments.

"You're makin' it big Hana... so don't make it like your mother..."

If only his little princess could stay his little princess, and if his betrothed wasn't so crazy. Then again, he can't call her crazy without being a hypocrite.

Yukino figured he wouldn't be happy with this arrangement, but she simply felt she needed to go away to come back as someone who isn't a weakling. Still, that's more thinking about herself than others. When he grabbed her hand, she was a bit surprised. When he was leaning in, the woman actually expected to get hit and flinched. It was a pleasant surprised to be kissed instead, even if it wasn't long enough. It never was long enough with her. Yukino leaned toward him a bit to show that before he talked about making it up to him. That was the queen's way of showing that if they didn't have to breathe she'd likely just stay on his lips for an eternity.

Maybe that was a bit of an obsessive, creepy thing to convey, but she wanted them.

They're just so tasty... And she just melts with him...

Before having a chance to speak, she was suddenly yanked as Haruka dashed to the concert, running with him to not fall face-first into the pavement.

Alexander had just punched in Seifers number into his contact list as a rather upbeat Haruka burst in with his lion of a girlfriend. He blinked, watching the two as a small smile formed on his lips.

"Well, it worked out I guess."  Mumbling to himself as he eyed the two, although not knowing much Haruka had expressed some of his feelings on the matter, all negative. It was refreshing to see Haruka in high spirits as well, having been a tid bit worried about the teen and his odd sickness from the day before.

As Tsubasa continued taking down phone numbers he noticed Haruka pulling Yukino into the crowd, with that his suspicions were affirmed.

"..I see now.." he said, beginning to smile.

He walks up to Haruka and places his hand on Haruka's shoulder.

"..Not bad man, not bad..I wish for you the best of luck until we meet again." he said, as he turned to Yukino as well.

"..This outcome would not have been possible without you, without everyone, so thank you.." he said, as he turned around. "...I wish you the best."

Yukino seemed really antsy about kissing. As in she really liked it. Haruka would have to keep in mind to stop accidentally teasing the poor girl with small pecks and actually let her have some if wanted. But tonight wasn't the time for all that. This was more about the memories. He pulled Yukino up to his side and used his free hand to gesture to her. Tsubasa even came up and gave him a few words of consideration. Haruka was grateful, for sure.

"Hey Alex, Seifer, this is Yukino. You've seen her before I believe, but I don't think you've all been formally introduced." Haruka scratches the back of his head, moving behind Yukino to hug her. This would have to settle for now. He looked up at the stage in anticipation. Hana's tonight was tonight, BELLA's night was tonight. Everything she had started working for was all going to begin.

Tonight.

The excitement must have been showing on Haruka's face, he had a huge smile on his face as he rested his head on Yukino's shoulder, arms wrapped around her waist. He was also rather enthused at the handicapped Neu and Tsubasa. They seemed awfully close for having had a nearly life-altering fight only a few days ago...

"Tsubasa, when did you become such a lady killer?" Haruka naturally asked. He didn't mean anything by it at first, then realized Neu was still sitting there and then Haruka sort of started to crack up a little.

The crowd was left wanting more, and that it is indeed what they got. The rest of the night continued on after Drake's thrilling duet with Rhianna. This was one of the happiest moments of Hana's life, if not the happiest. The lights kept going onwards, the workers ran frantically and passionately. The same cold be said for the dancers, the make-up crew, the musicians, the camera men... everyone involved was spectacular. The audience was amazing, they added a lot to the performer's spirit with their cheering. They kept wanting more, that's what had artists backstage pumped and ready to go.

After is performance, Drake gave Hana a pat on the head, a man in black following behind him with tissues in case he had another break down into tears. Rhianna returned with a present for the princess, her umbrella. What an honor. Eventually, after the numerous artists like, Beyonce and Justin Timberlake, It was almost Hana's turn to go. She received numerous calls from idol groups all across Japan, one of which was from Momoiro Clover Z, wishing her luck in representing idols on the world stage. They watched with great expectations, looking forward to how their fellow idol would represent their performance style.

Fireworks shot up, New York's sky lit up with the artificial stars shooting through the darkness, making Time's Square seem as if it were the center of the universe. The sound crew handed Hana her microphone and before she made her way out, Drake fixed her hat and gave her a thumbs up. Shia Labeouf then appeared behind the two with encouraging words.

"Just Do It."
"Yes you can!"
"Don't let your dreams be dreams!"

Tears started forming in her eyes as well as Drake's, they both turned and nodded, at awe and inspired.

"Yeah.." they nodded and replied to him in unison.

Affinity:
Drake: +3
Shia Labeouf: +1

The announcer then introduced the next performer, "Isabella Hope!"

Hana quickly ran onto the stage. She was overlooking a crowd larger than she possible ever imagined, it made heart skip a beat. The world of performance was truly something she loved. Upon her appearance, the crowd cheered, and she felt the world come to a halt. BELLA, Isabella, the name that she had so foolishly come up with herself to become her idol name just because she thought that it sounded nice. Hana didn't put much thought beyond that, because that's how childish her dream seemingly was. She never imaged that such a large number of people would be cheering her on like this. Truly, it was dream come true. The audience awaited her words, still clapping and jumping. The night was gorgeous, and the spotlight was now on her. In the distance was lone star in the sky, shining confidently and beautifully, it stood with her on stage, the rising star, Isabella Hope.

"Hello Minnasan!" She waved at the crowd.
"Hello! BELLA-chan!" The crowd replied as if they practiced. Hana could've sworn she heard Nociel and her mom.
"Are you all having fun?" She asked them. They applauded in return, making her smile even more, she was glad.
"Arigatou for coming tonight minna, this is really my first time performing in something as big as this and I really want to show you all what we idorus are capable of!" She paused for a moment, "We've gone through struggles due to the events of the War of Liberation. A lot saw it as a myth, but you know... we lost friends there, and really... it showed us the dire importance of having companions around. Whether they be our actual friends or even cards, we love our clans. They may just be cards, but as fighters, we have a deep connection to them."

The screen's color's changed to a sparkling blue, the color she had chosen to represent her. Navy blue like her hair, cool right? It had her name on it, all across the screens of Time's Square was "Isabella Hope."

"I'll be performing two songs tonight. This first song that we'll be performing is something that commemorates our experiences, happy and sad in order to reach our dreams. All the changes we have gone through. Let's go back to those days, remember who we were, and not be ashamed of it as it was once part of us, something we can learn from."

The back up dancers stood in formation with Isabella as the center, the lights dimmed a little. The first formation had been set up flawlessly. Hana took a big glimpse at the crowd. This was it. Once the spotlight turned on again, it was her time, the stage would become her field.

She screamed out the title of the song, leading to the the roar of the crowd.

Lyrics: Hata Aki
Music composition: Shirato Yuusuke
Music arrangement: Shirato Yuusuke

Watching the days go past makes me feel so empty
I need to leave a mark:
I’m here and my soul is screaming
I’m dreaming

Wandering this wide world, I held back my tears;
Clumsily taking the long way to my dreams

Looking up at the blue sky and not saying anything
I kept thinking about why my heart hurt so much

DAYS OF DASH
Running against the wind
I wonder what started between us when we were always running back then
I don’t know what it was but
The sun is shining above us now.
Let’s run forever down the road it shows us
Though even I don’t know if it goes on forever.

I’m not strong, so I puff out my cheeks
Impatiently
I have the urge to open the door and see

Embracing my overwhelming, overflowing emotions
As long as we’re not afraid,

Throwing wishes into the blue sky
There’s no way I can give up.
EYES TO EYES
A world where we don’t need words
Your and my world is starting right now.
I know it!
As soon as I decided to explore the future
Changing more
I want to search for my connection to eternity
More…

Looking up at the blue sky and saying nothing
I kept thinking about why my heart hurt so much…

DAYS OF DASH
Running against the wind
I wonder what started between us back then?
I still don’t know but
Where is that place where the sun is shining down on?
What am I trying to start?
I’m a dreamer
Already, a world that doesn't need words,
Your and my world has started just now
I know it has!
As soon as I decided to explore the future
Changing more
Though I don’t know if it will continue forever.

Seifer waved once more to Yukino, turning to face the couple that had just joined the group. "We met once, during the last few fights though I don't think she and I actually talked. From memory she passed out after doing... Something.. And then Ezel... Nevermind, maybe I was just tired." he mumbled the last half to himself before thinking and pointing at the two of them. He had yet to realize who Yukino actually fully was though. "I need to get your numbers to don't I? It's also nice to actually fully meet you Yukino." he spoke to the pair, however once Hana was announced his head swiveled back to the stage, watching her performance. What? He knew an idol? His mind raced a bit, not fully putting two and two together until now. And the thought that he never knew both shocked and bothered him. Nevertheless he listened to the performance happily, supporting his friend that was on stage.

Alexander eyed the two lovers as they strutted in, eyeing Yukino up close for once as he held back the wish to whistle in amazement. He coughed into a balled up fist before speaking rather clumsily. "So thats the lion that gives you a hard time huh?" He'd let out, a joking tone may have been heard within his voice though an innocence also lay ever apparent. It had dawned what he had just said, blinking for a moment before mouthing "Oh shit" As fear crept up on him, breaking into a cold seat while giving a forced smile.

"Haha...N-Nice to meet you. I'm Alexander." A defeated voice piping up from him. Though he would turn to Hana hastily as she ran onto the stage, watching her wide eyed as he was rather amazed. It could be said that he had become a fan of idols at this very moment.

"L-Lion...?" She sweat nervously. "Nice to meet you guys..." Yukino wasn't sure how to take that joke, but she let it slide since Haruka was holding her. A feeling of prideful joy came over her, seeing as her little sister was achieving her dream in a few minutes, and her boyfriend sounded like he was showing the queen off. At least, the thought of being his prize was delightful to relish in. Chuckling softly, the eyes of the queen moved on focus on the rising star of hope, the performance they had been waiting for beginning.

"Tsubasa, just remember that you're included in that everyone", she replied to the Gold Champion without having to turn.

"Hope" huh... I would like that someday...

... As you are now... You don't need me. You're already so far ahead...

I'm proud of you.

Haruka felt warmth from all over once again. It wasn't Overlord's warmth or Dauntless' greedy fire or anything Vanguard related. It was nothing that made Haruka want to sweat or freak out or anything like that either. It was the feeling of sudden joy all over, seeing Hana perform like that. Something Haruka had never seen before was Hana perform with a full crowd like this. The beach was one thing, but it was so sudden and Haruka fell asleep right as the performance was closing. This time he was here for the full thing and he was so glad he was. Even as it was only the first song ending, he ended up cheering regardless.

"BELLLAAAA-CHAAANN!!!" Haruka yelled, waving up to the stage. He wasn't too worried about being noticed in between the mobs of millions of adoring fans. But it was interesting enough that he got to see her actually perform live for once. He was so proud of her for making it here. Haruka never had the courage to do things like this, so this was something he wanted Hana to be proud of too.

He gripped around Yukino a little tighter, pecking her on the cheek and whispering into her ear, "She's great isn't she? This is amazing!" Haruka was genuinely really excited for this. Not even a day ago Haruka was nearly a shattered boy with nothing to really hope for but a small sum of friends he remembered. Tonight was ten times better than he could have imagined. His smile was plastered from ear to ear, feeling warmer and warmer by the second. The blood rushing to his head made him a bit dizzy but that didn't really stop him.

At the end of the first song, Time's Square was roaring with excitement. The applause slowly died down as the lights dimmed. It was due to Hana's big love for singing that she wanted to do this.

"The lights keep the stars from getting to us," She started to explain, as the lights of Time's Square slowly closed off. The spotlight was no longer on her, her face was in the shadows. The crowd grew silent, somewhat confused, yet going along and accepting what as going on. A atmosphere of mystery. The cool air of the night carried forth a natural beauty which contrasted with the artificial one which the fireworks had created prior.

"I want to do this. We will let the light of stars reach us, we're not going to let anything obstruct them as they've come such a long way. Let's enjoy the night." As the lights of New York City shut, the stars in the sky shone brilliantly. The lone star which was beside Hana when she first performed was now surrounded by millions upon millions of lights in the sky. Hana's eyes projected the stars of Cray as well. A few drops of tears formed in her eyes.

"Thank you everyone... thank you.. I've wanted to do this for so long..." It was silent. The moon acted as her spotlight now, and the sounds of the natural world gave way to the natural beat in which she had to sing to. The song of the world played once more. The instrumentals began, and memories from the past months flowed into her. She couldn't see a thing, the audience couldn't see a thing. All that could be seen was the stars in the sky along with the moon. It wasn't about the looks of an idol now, dancing, or any of the bright lights. This performance juxtaposed the first. This one was entirely all about the song, the message which it conveyed.

Downpour rain fell incessantly
I reached the finale of my ideal dream
then I kept walking
with my wet shoulders was trembling

I gathered my colorless memories
with my worn out tiny hands,
until I could cover up
the hollow of my heart

If only I could find things I lost
I don’t mind to throw away
kindness, love
and all of my everything

Though being hurt is my fate,
but my heart
still immerses in colors
Soars up! The Last Stardust
Dust to Dust,
Ash to Ash
far beyond the sky
Oh my fragments of hopes,
reach out beyond there

Ephemeral rain faded away,
Frozen night breeze vanished
I was petrifying,
with loneliness alone by my side

If only I could protect what I believe
I don't mind,
all justice I've chosen
would be fatally wrong

Scar-covered my heart of crystal
lights up the heat of passion
that I start to forget
Soars up! The Last Stardust
Dust to Dust,
Earth to Earth
far beyond the sky
Oh my fragments of hopes,
may you last to the eternity

Brave Shine
Stay the night
Stay the night
Brave Shine
Brave Shine

Though being hurt is my fate,
but my heart
still immerses in colors
Farewell Judas
gone to ashes
Dust to Dust
towards the weakness of my past

Scar-covered my heart of crystal
lights up the heat of passion
that I start to forget
Soars up! The Last Stardust
Dust to Dust,
Ash to Ash
far beyond the sky

Oh my fragments of hopes,
may you last to the eternity

As the end of Hana's song concluded the concert, many individuals began to feel emotions rile up within them but in the end the songs gave them more than just a farewell feeling but it also gave them hope, hope for their future. The crowd clapped in unison at the performances and as a result it left us all with a strong sense of satisfaction and pride.

"...Haruto...I'll be ready one day to face you again...that is my....heh brave shine..not a bad song afterall." he thought. "..Seifer, Neo and Alexander you know how to reach me if possible."

Tsubasa returns Neu back to the hospital and says, "..Thank you for helping me develop and become a better me, i'm going to miss you Neu...here.." he hands Neu a CD player. "Old school I know but I hope this get well gift helps you in your recovery...until we meet again." Alexander was singing along to Hanas' song as if having memorized the lyrics from the day it came out, smiling the whole time even in the serious bits. He enjoyed the moment, the music reverberating all around him as dozens cheered for the idol on stage, the goodbye to New York and the troubles that were faced. And the future that awaited everyone, their intersecting paths that would create the bridge of tomorrow.

He would remain for the whole concert, waving goodbye to Tsubasa and Neu and sticking around with the rest of the group as long as he could. A part of him would regret one thing though, not having met these people sooner, and to have to part with them after having just met them. "I guess Vanguard will connect us again." Was the resolution that he had reached, telling everyone goodbye when the moment came. "It was nice meeting you folks, I'll try to keep in touch from time to time." His words holding a cheery tone to them, he seemed sure of meeting once again at the very least.

"Well, guess you made a fan. Hope-chan." Snickering a bit about the fact on his way back, though sighing as he was reminded that he had school to get back to once he went away. "Well, whatever happens guess I gotta look forward.... Right, Ethics Buster" Flipping out his deck as he eyed the white beast. It's glowing incandescent eyes burning as brightly as his fists. "Guess I got you and azure Dragon two point-oh huh." Being his last words on the matter as he went to the Hotel room, packing his things and heading off to bed, ready to face tomorrow as he always has.

Ighanna watched Hana's great performance and enjoyed it a lot seeing one of her friends becoming successful, this was the birth of a new star. Despite sitting at a VIP seats from one of the concert's sponsor, she was invited to the backstage to meet many of her pals like Justin Timberlake, Drake and Rihanna which she was very familiar with. Unluckily Ighanna did not meet Hana after the show to congratulate her because of the commotion going on and crowds of people waving in the see the celebrities, sad Ighanna.

"I'll applaud Pacifica for you instead then if you're gonna be so down about it" Metatron suggested as Ighanna nods in agreement sending Metatron to relay the message of gratitude to Hana.

He left once Hana was done with her songs. To be honest, he enjoyed it very much. It got him to remember the fond memories he had with his parents before everything went to hell. He remembered that he was their light and that was why they named him that, Hikaru. To shine in the dark and look how he turned out. He then looked down for a bit then continued walking. Never less, this is one thing he won't forget about the younger sibling even with her new name, Hope. He won't forget the experience.

"Once I get back to japan, I'm going to get stronger with my own strength." He then took out his deck with Cosmo Lord glowing dimly at the front of the deck. Then he flipped the deck to find Mond Blaukluger and took it out to look at it.

"You came to me three days ago, when the seal was finally broken and are memories fully returned. Why? why did you choose me to wield you."He looked at the card questionably as his deck glow a dark blue hue.

"You talk to much." Cosmo Lord materializes in front of the king of the underground. "You should not question the appearance of a new pawn. Rather be delighted it came to you instead of any other. I'm rather surprised that you are still going over this Hikaru." Gazing at the boy with his golden metallic eyes which are devoid of any emotion.

"I'm..just being ridiculous. Me, being worried as something as the god damn world. A few months ago I wouldn't have given a damn what happens to this planet. Everything i've been through, I blame it all on how the world is run. I still do to an extent. I guess i'm not so different to Neu in wanting to change the world in my own twisted way. If certain events had happened would I have lived long enough to see myself as the villain. So many what ifs pop up in my mind." He then shook his head a few times before continuing forward and putting Mond back into the deck. "I shouldn't stay here for to long, I need to fix up my luggage.

The phantom looked at Hikaru's back side and then shook his head as he evaporated into dark blue motes and went back to his deck.

"I'll never understand humans"

The concert had ended. Everyone was going there seperate ways. As the flight back home soon came, Neo couldnt help but wonder what he was going to do next. Things are going to be different for sure. So what was Neo's next move? What is his future plans? Now that he found out about his parents and Vermillion being taken away, Neo kept staring at the stage not knowing what to do. He shed a tear because he could only hold it in for so long. He was hurt, upset and felt betrayed. He didnt really have a home to stay at and didnt have a job. Neo was a wanderer. His sole purpose was to find his parents and reunite with them but now that isnt possible. Neo took a chair and just sat near the stage staring intil his flight.

"Its not fair.." Neo said shedding tears

Sky was getting ready to leave after the concert, he was depressed because he still hadn't found another strong fighter to face since fighting Hana. It was then he saw someone who was also still at the concert crying. Sky never knew what to say in these kinds of situations but also hated to see people sad so he approached the person. "Why so glum chum?" Sky asked practically kicking himself for how corny that sounded.

A glowing figure stood atop the skyscrapers of Time's Square, overlooking the infested area, covered in a large layer of mindless fighters, scattering about and bringing forth the dark power which she just controlled. The Messiah bore her multi-colored eyes again, her hair of a purplish and pinkish color, but her necklace evoking bluish flames. She wore a black dress with a fluttering black coat over which she tied along her neck, its sleeves and backing flying along with the wind that blew atop the New York cityscape. She wore a policeman's cap, covering a bit of her eyes.

A large white-colored Vanguard circle flashed behind her.

"I decree that in the name and power of the Messiah, you will all be taken from this horrendous power and into my hands of salvation." She announced out across the far reaches of New York City as the wind twisted around her as she reached for her Vanguard deck within her coat.

Let's go, Ezel.

"What is your name?"
"Who are you?"
"Messiah?"
"What are you doing?"

"My name is Neu Edelweiss, a felllow New Yorker like you all, as well as a fellow Cardfighter, but at the same time I am also your awaited savior...Futhermore." She jumped from the building and warped onto the bottom, causing a large crash and emitting a shock wave with a force that pushed multiple reversed fighters back at once.

"As the one whom bears the title of Messiah..." She turned her cap to the side and she looked up at all of them, her large and infinite presence enabled her to send this message to every fighter at once.

"I shall be your judge."

They all ran towards her, ran like hell and she fought them all one by one, quickly ending battles as she moved to the next. With every battle she won, the void energy would come towards her and she would consume it, eventually forming a card in her hands that matched her current state.

Awaking Messiah.
