Title: Linux/Mac Q&A
Post by: Doctor Who on August 13, 2017, 06:49:53 AM
Hello, everyone. I have finally figured how to run this game on Linux. The first option is to install Windows as a secondary OS so whenever you'd want to play it, you'd boot Windows (it will not work with MacBooks).
Another solution is to download Virtualbox (freeware) and install and run Windows through it (theoretcally, it can be done on a MacBook as well) You can find plenty of tutorials, depending on what kind of Linux OS you run. It is not that hard to install but it may take a few tries with the settings until you get it right. I managed to install WIndows 7 on it and it runs smoothly (but I still have to figure out on how to work with screen resolution.).
WARNING: Please note that if you use the 2nd method, you will be running two systems at once, so I do not recommend for old and/or computers with low specs (this doesn't refer to MacBooks as by default, they are high end).
PS: Mods, I do hope you will make this a sticky thread to end once and for all with the questions on how to run it on Linux/Mac OS
