Hi! Waiterfang again with a hopefully more successful tournament than the previous one........
Once again this will be a special rule tournament.
Tournament Format:
Double Elimination, 2 out of 3 Matches.
Tournament Date and Time:
Registration Ends: 12/26/14-11:00a.m. GMT-6
Begins: 12/26/14-12:00p.m. GMT-6 (also known as Central Standard Time, CST)
Tournament Area: The Shop above spawn. (Reason: This is an inside party, not an outside party.)
Fight Rules:
All normal fighting rules of Cardfight!!! Vanguard still apply.
Japanese Ban-List will be in use.
Double Mulligan may be used.
You must use a deck that consists of units from only the one clan that you registered with, Cray Elementals are excused because not every clan has an available stride for themselves.
Any cheating will result in disqualification.
Now for the fun part ;D .
Special Rule!-
Special Gift Givings!
RULE- Each Player may only use one of the following once per turn during your turn. (When you use one, You cannot use the others for the rest of your turn and you cannot reuse a gift either.) To use one of these gifts, you must remove from play one card until the end of the turn, then you can return the removed card at the end of the turn.
1. Materialistic Gift!- Both you and your opponent may draw one card. You may use this at the end of your turn or right after your draw phase.
2. Charitable Gift!- You can allow your opponent to heal 1 damage after your drive check, then your vanguard can perform 2 additional drive checks for the battle. You may only use this gift if your opponent's vanguard is Grade 3 or higher and your opponent has at least 1 damage.
3. Heavenly Gift!- During your main phase, you can call one unit from your drop zone. If you do, your opponent may draw a number of cards equal to the rounded estimated whole number quotient of power of the unit divided by 5000. THE CALLED UNIT WILL BE NORMALLY CONSIDERED CALLED FROM HAND, NOT CALLED FROM DROP ZONE NOR SUPERIOR CALLED.
Examples:
Call a 11000 power unit- 11000/5000 = 2.2, 2 cards are drawn
Call a 8000 power unit- 8000/5000 = 1.6, 2 cards are drawn
Call a 7000 power unit- 7000/5000 = 1.4, 1 card is drawn
Call a 5000 power unit- 5000/5000 = 1, 1 card is drawn
Call a 2000 power unit- 2000/5000 = .4, 0 cards are drawn
4. Romantic Gift!- During your main phase, you can call one unit of the same race as one other rearguard unit that you must declare on your field from your deck, but the called unit must have a different name than the declared rearguard unit. The unit called or the unit declared become bonded. Bonded units must move together if the other leaves the rearguard circles. You can only have 1 pair of bonded units at a time on the field. THE UNIT CALLED USING THIS WILL BE CONSIDERED NORMALLY CALLED FROM THE HAND, NOT CALLED FROM THE DECK NOR SUPERIOR CALLED.
Example:
If a bonded Wingal is retired/binded/locked/sent to damage zone/sent to the guard zone, then the bonded Flogal will also be retired/binded/locked/sent to damage zone/send to the guard zone.

Q: Will units called using the special gift rules need to be the same grade as the vanguard or lower?
A: Yes, because they are considered called from the hand.
Q: What if I don't use any of your stupid special rules?
A: That would be acceptable, but remember that your opponent will still be allowed to use the special rules even if you don't.

A: Censor blocks are fun, and I made this for fun. So you can feel free to not participate if you choose to.
Q: Why are questions and answers needed?

Q: Is Santa real?
A: Scientifically speaking, a large man traveling around the world on magically propelled reindeer is preposterous. Speaking in magical terms, ignore the previous statement because it is boring and santa is AWWWWWEEEEESSSSSOOOOMMMMEEEEEEE!!!!! (Keep this in mind that I said this, fat guy.)
Q: Will there be a prize?
A: Will imaginary prizes work cause i have none for now :p.
Q: If I have a suggestion to fix a possible loophole in a tournament rule, may I suggest it?
A: I will read your suggestion and take it into consideration for a possible edit, unless the possible loophole was intended.

One Question Fang:No prize?
Beyond asking a moderator if I can use a sleeve as a prize if this becomes popular and successful....I got nothing. I used all the rest of my cash that I could spend on Xmas gifts and donating to charity. Would bragging rights work?

The unit called by that special rule is considered as called from hand, right? But it is still a supirior call, some stupid dudes might use that as a way to trouble you like "why can't I call a unit that has greater grade than my vanguard?!" Maybe you should clear that up a bit.
And one question: One of those special rules gifts could be used at any moment during my turn, right? Like during my battle phase?

Your suggestion concerning timing made me realize I forgot to place a specification of when the third and fourth gifts can be used during your turn.
