Title: Tournaments and teams suggestion!
Post by: Ciel Rose on March 18, 2014, 01:42:28 PM
Hi, Ciel Rose/Ciel Phantomhive here! Veteran player of the Cardfight Vanguard game and supporter of the Vanguard community is what I am. I'm here to discuss the idea of the Cardfight Area administrator(s) hosting or sponsoring tournaments for the game, as well as creating a team section on the forum. It's a great way to bring old and new players together in my opinion. Feel free to respond with an answer anytime! Anyone else who's in favor or against this idea should respond as well.

Thank you for your time! ~^^~

A lot of people here(including me)have already joined a team by now so I dunno about the team thing but I'm up for anything that requires me to fight other people :D so thumbs up for the tours

I agree with Ciel. Both Ciel and i and a lot of people have "infiltrated" CFA as a means to replace the long lost Cardfight Capital. You see, there was an excellent forum there with a lot of diversity and well, rules that people respected. The forum should indeed have a team thread system (we, the people from CFC, are currently using a different forum for that, but we'd transferr here if it became decent enough). As for the tournaments, a definite yes. You see, back on CFC, the admins (mainly Kinna) hosted a large scale tournament every now and then, and all of those have had rewards such as a special icon not accessable to anyone but the winner and the admins or something simmilar. However, all the tournaments i've seen here so far are unorganised and are only "planned" on challonge, when there should be a thread for that too (pardon me if there is, i haven't checked this forum yet). I've a lot of experience with hosting large scale tournaments (still holding the record of most people joined ^^') so i could help in the starting phase or anything simmilar. That's what i can currently offer of myself. Also, it'd be clever to disable being able to use/copy names of others and there should really be some sort of moderating in game because i've seen people behaving far below even internet standards. So that should be a thing, too. This is not a forceful post, don't get me wrong, i'm just suggesting things as my fellow collegue, Ciel. ^^
Thank you for your time,

Tournaments are held quite often, but on our main site (cardfight.ru). Rules and so are in russian, though. Maybe we will think about a worldwide tournament, still I'm not sure about it.

Well, i'm aware you people are quite busy, as am I. But, it'd be quite pleasent for all the people that are unable to play in real life, and prizes are always nice. Now, the hard thing to do is to code the prizes, i would imagine. And yeah, i've seen the russian thing. I understand why it is, but maybe you should make it more "worldly" by only using english, even though i'm not sure how it would reflect the russian base players (i understand russian, somewhat, since i'm croatian, but it's not about that). Might be a far fetch, but well, there's time. ^^

Ah, I see. I never knew you were having tournaments in Russian, that is fine. However, you do have a lot of English speaking players who enjoy using your system, so I personally believe that it would be wise to include tournaments for those players as well. ^^ Again, simply to increase the popularity and make a connection within the community.

Unfortunately, you are wrong. We don't have many players that know even english basics. So it would be hard to cooperate with each other.

Hello everyone! I'm Just, short for Justified if you were wondering. The name isn't that important, though.
I've come to make known of my existence, being that I am one of the many English Cardfight Area users.  Hopefully others who also play this game and are English speakers respond to this topic so that we may be acknowledged as a large group that would like to see the tournament suggestion become a viable and acceptable addition to the game.

Well I am an English speaking player, though I 'believe' their problem, is that they have no one on the 'Russian' side of things that speaks basic English, if I am reading that correctly?

Not exactly. Most of our russian players don't know even basics. Well, there are people that can translate, but russian community is russian community.

Hi!
It is a good idea and I am ready to sponsor the tournament. About hosting, I'm not sure. Personally, difficult for me to organize the tournament in the English community.
What specifically should:
Find an organizer
Create topic
Find people to get them to will be noted that it was visible that be typed enough people

About teams.
It's simple - be typed at least a dozen people I create team section.

As i've already said, i'm here to help with hosting. Also, it accured to me that maybe a server should be organised for special tournamnets, like, the big ones.
For example, make a big tournament every 2-4 months where you'd be giving out special awards (read up for examples), and we could do a king of a thing monthly where the winner would get shouted out on the forums or something (sort of like a wall-fame thingy).
About the russian/english thing. I understand that Slavenian countries have problems with foreign languages and accents (I'm Croatian, but i also have a bit of english and german in me, so i have no problems with languages), but yes, i won't question it. However, not combining communitis just because of that is something that would stand in the legen of the tower of Babilon. This is the 21st century. We shouldn't have problems with this. I'll help any way i can, but support between communities would indeed be nice.
If you need me, just PM me, since i don't check out threads that regularly during the week.
Thanks for reading once again.
