Title: Pinot Blanc Ruling
Post by: Prime Ddraig on July 24, 2014, 05:32:06 PM
had a recent match with a friend of mine and we got into an argument about how Pinot Blanc works.

If Pinot Blanc is put into the drop zone through Pinot Noir's Legion skill, at the end of the Legion skill can I then counterblast to Superior call Pinot Blanc for the "When your Vanguard performs Legion" skill? Since its technically the "Performing Legion" Timing.

I don't think that you would be able to activate it.  Since the Pinot Blanc was not in the Drop Zone when you performed Legion, it could not have had its requirements fulfilled.  It'd be like trying to activate Eliwood after getting it from Bleoberis after Breakriding Ezel.  In the Eliwood case, since the card was not in the Rear-guard when you rode Ezel, it's requirements were unable to be fulfilled.

Thank you!

But the copy in question was not in the Drop Zone when it performed the Legion...  Of course you can use Pinot Blanc if it was in the drop zone when you performed Legion afterwards, but in this case the card could not have had its condition fulfilled since it was still in the deck when the timing hit.  If you have an official source or reason that the Pinot Blanc sent to the Drop Zone by the Legion skill can be used, I'd like to see it, or one for the situation I used as another example above (Eliwood Superior Called by Bleoberis after Breakriding Ezel), then I'd love to see it.
