Title: Do you have an "Avatar Card"?
Post by: ヤタ on March 05, 2014, 02:35:07 PM: I thought I may as well ask this question. Does anyone have an Avatar? If so, who/what is it? My Avatar is Sunlight Goddess, Yatagarasu. I main Genesis and use Yacchan as my main. I love her lore, art and her skill. It just feels so good on the BR Turn, when you have a 26k Column, another 26k Vanguard Column, and a last 16k Column, with Melissa/Chamomile in soul. Suddenly two stood columns :D

So then, what is your avatar, if you have one?

My main avatar always will be my Yacchan, but I also tend to have Avatars for a few of my decks, like Nightmare Doll, Carole for Pale Moon and such.

My favourite deck is my Crossride Pacifica deck, in Eternal Idol sleeves with an Eternal Idol playmat. Yay Pacifica!

Though my heart is always there for Sanctuary Guard Dragon and Stern Blaukruger. So I guess they're like my other Avatars, but everybody knows me as the Pacifica player, so Pacifica shall remain my girl.

Which is nice, because they expect me at my locals to pull out some low tier Pacifica deck, and usually win. Or pull out Nebula Lord when they're not expecting it ;)

Best duo ever :)

But now that I found the real clan that suits me, my new avatar is Illusionary Revenger, Mordred Phantom. When you look at his eyes, you'll feel that he also looks at you and it seems cool for me :)

Don't get me wrong, I am not saying I appreciate cards from decks I use, personally in my Dark Irregulars I cant help but love Dimensional Creeper as that is the heart and soul of my current build but it doesn't warrant the title of avatar.

now the two cards, currently, Ethics Buster Extreme is my avatar, it gets me results and I love the way it works, without a shadow of a doubt he is my avatar for now as I just feel like I will win without a doubt when I ride him.

My old Avatar was Cobalt Dragon, same reasons as hitting 20+k alone per turn with a few crits on top? please, who doesn't love that.

God.... I can only imagine how good it must feel when your in a pinch and you drive check another Raging Form for a SUUUUPPPERRIOR PERSONAA RIIIIIIIDE! ;D

That's a perfect card to fit my "criteria" because it happens more often than one might expect. Lol.

We've been through a lot together. She's in almost every Oracle Deck I make. She may not always arrive in time or can be a troll like other heals but she just has that awesome secret charm that other heals just don't have anymore plus she's returns to the deck after boosting.

Not true. I can't even count how many times Lozenge brang forth the justice when i was double crited at 3 damage.

I don't believe that's myth is true. There are others who have the opposite reaction. Sphere wouldn't work for them but Lozenge did. I think it's the same with a lot of cards really. Sure Lozenge has trolled me countless times more before sphere came out and never works ever for me but at least Lozenge is easier to get compared to Sphere.

So I'd have to state firstly, yes I do have an avatar card and secondly, it'd depend on what clan I'm currently playing.

I could see people counting MLB as a form of Blaster Blade, but I don't think Alfred (any of them) make the cut.

I've only really read the lore for the Link Joker bosses and some of the Kageros.

I know a few things from reading lores, like how broken Twilight Baron is XD (if you dont understand, go read Daikaiser's lore in the wikia)

Lores are helpful and tell the Unit's story. Try to read the Gaiden too. It talks about how Blaster Blade came to be.

I didn't even know that existed, thanks for the suggestion. I'll definitely read it when I have some time.

Since I am using Granblue much more as of late (especially with either Deadly Swordmaster and Nightsnow), I would say Lord of the Seven Seas would be my avatar (for now, since that will change when I decided to use something else)

Nebula Lord probably wins this round because of the fact that I managed to get one of my rearguard rows to attack at around 32k.

Hmm.... It's actually more of a tie between Dragonic Overlord the Reverse, Chaos Breaker Dragon and Nebula Lord Dragon now that I think about it. Nebula Lord probably wins this round because of the fact that I managed to get one of my rearguard rows to attack at around 32k.

Boss cards are always fun to play with, I think Link Joker bosses are always more interesting because they do things out of the ordinary with their own unique mechanic.
Also Reversing a bunch of clans and using them as food for a world-destroying machine is always great.

I'm not sure if he thinks of Coco like that but even if he did I think it wouldn't necessarily ruin the card in any way, maybe it'll help him draw triggers when he's using Coco.

Like I know a guy who calls White Lily Musketeer, Cecilia his "special partner" but he still plays normally with the deck.

True, I was thinking in what was more efficient as it is hard to actually use Glendios win condition so it's more easier to call rearguards with a break ride skill.

Nah its not a problem its just like why must you move around clans just for a win why no win it with your own main clan instead of homie hoping clans

Because your clan might be undersupported and you might have a better chance at winning with another clan??
I mean it has to do with the play to win mentality so I don't know how to answer in another way..

I have to agree most clans are unsupported.
I also like playing different decks. Not just because they are better or anything.
It can give me a general idea on how to go about fighting against that deck with my own clan.
Plus you won't get bored using the same clan or deck over and over again.

A little bit before bt11 came in english, until bt12 released the only clan I ever played was bermuda triangle, prism build (irl anyways)... it gets real boring -____-

Post by: Duive on January 18, 2015, 06:37:51 PM: I didn't like Vanguard at first and left the game. It gnawed at me in the back of my head until I decided to give it a second chance. I tried to pick up the only deck I ever played with and lost a bunch. I had a long way to go.
My Season 1: Perfect Raizer/Asura Kaiser

Fighting with my friends on a daily basis caused me to eventually gain confidence in my abilities. I soon was asked to join XHRT with a lot of my other friends. I learned and started really getting into the swing of things and before I knew it, I was a legit fighter in my own right. At this time, I had developed an odd habit of making mental notes of my milestones calling them seasons and arcs much at the confusion of my teammates/friends.
My Season 2: Eradicator, Vowing Sword Dragon/Eradicator, Gauntlet Buster Dragon

With losing a valued teammate, morale plummeting and nothing awaiting our team but eventual disbandment, I decided to start making changes happen. I buckled down and improved more than just my sense of adding up power and reading words off of a card. Apparently, my sudden tune and attitude was a good sign because it earned me a spot on the team that I didn't think would even be possible. I want to see where these powerful feelings would lead.
My Season 3: Brawler, Big Bang Knuckle Dragon/Brawler, Big Bang Knuckle Buster

And that's it! A brief summary of me and my Avatars throughout the game~

Had no cards in my hand at 5 damage. Drew Garmore, flooded the field and won the match. I swear I heard the Anime theme playing XD

For Granblue, the other clan I like, my avatar is Ruin Shade, for no other reason than he was the first card design I really liked when I first started

But out of all the strong warriors and heroes of that clan, I can never pinpoint who is my precious "Avatar", someone who'd I call my dearest ally. I used to think it was probably Blaster Blade Seeker (even before I actually played the game I thought it was Marron for whatever reason), but he almost never comes in at the time when I need him most.

Maybe it isn't even with the Seekers or with Royal Paladin, who knows? But I feel like unless I find my true Avatar and Winning Image, I'll never get stronger as a Cardfighter.
