we never saw kai's final drive checks, he might have gotten a trig since it was 1 to pass.
In all honesty they can't have Kai losing to anyone other than Quatre Knights right now.
Also, about PBA, he probably has a second skill but they won't release it until we actually get it as either a COTD or in Bushiroad Monthly. Can't wait, though. Although the standing part is kind of, well, old. Hopefully we'll see it combined with some retiring mechanic as a second skill (When this unit's attack doesn't hit retire an opponents Front row reaguard, or something?).

Activate [V]: [Legion20000 「Blaster Dark Revenger "Abyss"」] {If your opponent has a grade 3 or greater vanguard, this unit return four cards from your drop zone to your deck only once, and search your deck for the specified card, and you may perform [Legion].}
Auto [V]: [Counter Blast (2) & Choose three of your rear-guards with 「Revenger」 in its card name, and retire them] At the beginning of the close step of the battle that this unit attacked a vanguard, if this unit is in [Legion], you may pay the cost. If you do, [Stand] this unit. This ability cannot be used for the rest of that turn.
Auto [V]: At the end of the battle that this unit attacked the vanguard, if the attack did not hit during that battle, choose one of your opponent's grade 1 or less rear-guards, and retire it.
