Title: Team Killers.
Post by: Jai Hearts on June 04, 2014, 11:52:32 AM
I remember back in the capital days i used to fight teams and well most of the times im fortunate enough to have defeated them.

im thinking lets make a contest of sort where it would last a month.

a person has to defeat at least 4 members of a team to have beaten a team, but if you lose or beat someone you can't fight them again and you are not allowed to kill your own team.

the person that defeated the most teams win.

well what do you think ?

this way a team can brag that they have a team killer too.

Quite interesting I'd love to kill teams or reverse them or something in between

No... This is exactly why this is a stupid idea. This is not why teams was made in the first place. One of the reasons teams was made was to promote friendly competition to help each other to prepare for the harshness and unforgiving tournament setting. Giving teams a reason to bash at each other does not promote said competition.

if you dont wanna give em a reason to bash then we shouldnt have tornaments or gunslingers in the first place.

this is just a friendly idea, for people to enjoy and try something new. This way people can improve by having multiple matches in a row or see how they fair against different opponents.

the ones that bash just for beating a few people then arn't very mature are they ?

Beating 4 members of a team in a row per team is not something really worth braging about anyway. However while the intention feels friendly and want to help players grow, it feels like it would turn more people into jerks instead.
Winning a Tournament (especially if it's considered a official tournament) is something special and is a acceptable reason to brag. Well as long as most people didn't miss ride vs you that is and as long as it's not brag hugely. Same is true with Gunslingers and Normal team battles.

The difference between these two styles of team battle is that gunslinger was created was to try to allow more players to practice then a normal Team Battle would and give teams a better chance to come back from missride games since there would be more games to play. The only downside is if a person sweeps then no one else on the person who sweep's team get's to practice and it comes out about the same amount of people getting to practice but still gunslinger gives more games.
Another reason I can't agree to the idea is that not all teams have 4 members and a lot of teams have more then 4. Beating just 4 vs a team that has more then 4 wouldn't feel like a accomplishment at all.

I understand what you are saying but i still think its a good idea.

if a team can set up there accomplishments a person can set there own up.

it would still be a great way to see how for you can go if you fight in a team gunslinger or tournament.

while team themselves can improve then.

this might sound like a good idea to some and bad to others, but we wont really know untill we try.

I remember back in the capital days i used to fight teams and well most of the times im fortunate enough to have defeated them.

If I remember correctly, when you joined mid 2012. or whenever, after being rejected a lot by older players, it went something like: "Im the strongest, no one can defeat me!" "-insertrandompopularplayerhere- fight me! I will destroy you and your team, for I am totaly not fanboying over Kirito or anything!"
"Is there really no one that can beat the great me? How sad."
.....That's pretty much your "team-destroying" history. In case you've beaten any, they weren't worth anyone's time to begin with, since there were a lot of teams like that, aka randoms.
So please, stop the elitism, you don't have what it takes to be an elitist nor are elitists accepted in any community, really.

OT:
This is a ridicolous idea. The same as reversing stuff. I see it as an 8 year-olds game. It has nothing to do with anything we do here and it contradicts everything teams stand for. Your own choice is whether you'll join a team or stay solo, but you've no valid right to "destroy" one's team, and to be honest here, those who do claim they can "destroy" usually don't have the power/skill to do so, so let's just stop while everyone appears to be somewhat sane here.

(Expecting to get bad karma again since it's seems every time I point out someone's wrongdoing in order for them to become better and be accepted into the community they spam-smite me. Moral is a thing.)
