Title: New Maps / Upgraded Maps
Post by: JonSpectre on January 04, 2017, 12:46:20 AM
I'm thinking that the in-game maps should be upgraded.

Updating the map in the main lobby would make the game look attractive and depending on how its done then it'll make the game itself look a little more advanced than it currently does.

Or an entirely different idea....

Maybe there could be maps that represents every nation or clan. Sometimes the main lobby gets really crowded. I think there can be an option when you enter connect to the server to go to whichever map you want to. This would help to ciphon the crowd out plus it would be very cool to have a system like this.  ;D

Ideas about how each map might look:

Dragon Empire Map: Traditional Chinese/Japanese houses. Kinda gloomy. Perhaps a war theme where the buildings are in tatters. Some may be burning. Dead bodies could be on the ground for added effect. Maybe a statue of a certain dragon......ehem Dragonic Overlord :)

Zoo Map: Obviously they should be nature themed. Lots of trees. Lots of flowers for the Neo Nectar one. The houses will be treehouses where you will have to go up ladders along the trunks to get into them.

United Sanctuary Map: White futuristic looking houses with blue lights streaming along the sides of the golden roads. Maybe some holy knights in the area (or rather maybe you can make sprites of united sanctuary units like blaster blade and put them somewhere on the map together).

Star Gate Map: The map itself would be an asteroid. You should be able to tell from how the ground would look plus if you go to the edge of the map you should be able to see the blackness of space and the stars. The houses would be also be futuristic looking like the United Sanctuary houses but the theme would be white, black and red(Link Joker colors).

If any admins happen to see this please take this into consideration. I wouldn't mind helping in any way i can.

I'd love to hear what other people think about this too.  :)

I'll put every inch of my heart and soul into saying what's in my mind right now about this. (this might not end well)

1 is that there's a risk of adding more data into the next update, which will slow down the game albeit a little bit if they did implement a new area. And 2 is that adding individual nation areas for people to go to because the lobby gets a little crowded is going to add in lots of time spent, and I know that you want to help but they only select a few people that they know can do it; even if you show evidence. Not being really mean here I'm just stating what's on my mind, but seriously, that is a great idea, but I don't think it'll help the fact that the game will be slower than usual not only because of the players in the lobby that won't go to other areas that have a lot of space to go to, but also how most people just look at the new areas and hang around there for a few hours, even days or weeks. And eventually go back to the lobby to do their every day routine.

Still a good idea in my opinion, but not the option that they'll add in the future updates, although there is a slight chance in them doing so.

If they're so worried about data.. then why do they go through the effort of putting in all of those un-needed touches and then never clean them up? It's always winter, now there's spiderwebs, evil santa and blood and all this totally unnecessary stuff in there at this point in time. Speaking about stuff that isn't really needed. Are they forced to animate their sprites? Because if that's taking up more data, to animate them and all, I think I speak for a lot of folks who say we don't need them to 'move' whilst moving them around. Hell, if an artist would actually stick around long enough after saying "New Sprites" this or that, I'd love to see something else, cuter, perhaps, but that's more of a personal 'want' at this point.
