Title: [VG][Gold Paladin] Strong Together - Ezel
Post by: XenoSoul on October 23, 2015, 02:00:36 PM
Grade 0:[17]
Spring Breeze Messenger x1 (Starter)
Air Raid Lion x4 (Crit)
Flame of Victory x4 (Crit)
Falcon Knight of the Azure x4 (Draw)
Pharmacy Witch x4 (Heal)

Grade 1:[14]
Halo Shield, Mark x4 (PG)
Player of the Holy Axe, Nimue x4
Pleasing Liberator, Lud x3
Throw Blade Knight, Maleagant x3

Grade 2:[11]
Knight of Passion, Bagdemagus x4
Lop Ear Shooter x4
Invitation Liberator, Beli x3

Grade 3:[8]
Salvation Lion, Grand Ezel Scissors x4
Incandescent Lion, Blond Ezel x4

Stride:[8]
Purgation Lion Emperor, Mithril Ezel x4
Galloping Golden Knight, Campbell x3
Snow Element, Blizza x1

Strategy: The way on how this deck works is using cards like Beli, Lud, Nimue, Spring Breeze and the Ezel units in order to quickly fill the rear guards while keeping a good hand size and using certain cards that can be called while standing in order to get an extra attack during the turn. Because of Lud and Beli being in the deck it easily fills up the soul a bit which lets Maleagant be used more to get more counterblasts. For the strides the main one would be Mithril Ezel which can be used to get two strong columns. As for the other strides they can be used when I have a full rear guard and don't feel I need to use Mithril Ezel.

why not using spearcross? When you use Ezel onces, and then stride spearcross, you get +3 and it's op.

I guess but right now the deck seems to be fine with setting up a full field in moments, though I can always give spear cross a test run and see how it goes and then decide from there

He is needed in 2 situations:
Field filling cannot be underrated - you dont need that blizza anyway, imo.

He is needed in 2 situations:
  • You had bad hand and could not fill the field with effects.
  • You are playing against destroy decks, such ask Narukami, Kagero or Gear Chronicle.
Field filling cannot be underrated - you dont need that blizza anyway, imo.

I guess so, also been considering switching out Blond Ezel for Platina to keep a solid 11k base vanguard, Thoughts on that?

depends on your preference. I saw people playing fine with 10k. It just can be bad in some match-ups

Try 4 Mithril Ezel 2 Spear Cross 2 Campbell.

I personally think more Lud over Nimue is better here. That, and I find it sort of surprising you aren't playing Pwyll.

I also assume Blond Ezel is here for personal preference/giggles because Platina would be a better backup for being 11k and having a game-securing Ultimate Break.
