A young man with short blonde hair and blue eyes, as Makuto, he wears a black hooded jacket, and round glasses. While Akuma, has a long overcoat, messy, pushed back hairstyle, and eyes turned blood red.

Personality:
Makuto is a fairly quiet and shy person with a sweet and caring nature, he is also a rather awkward individual, he usually if not always avoids getting into trouble as he struggles with Social Anxiety and gets stressed easily. He always counts on Akuma to deal with his own matters and cardfights. Akuma however, is laid back, cunning, bad boy-esque type personality, with little respect to humans.Unlike Makuto, he is always ready for a cardfight and is extremely motivated to get another win. He gets in fights easily, causing trouble to Makuto all the time. Without knowing the human world, Akuma is glad he got paired with Makuto's body, as Makuto helped Akuma with his goals, Akuma came to liking him as he is the only human he ever respected.
Character Bio:
Makuto was born in a far away village, with at least a few hundreds of people living there. He was an only child and was raised by his grandparents, he didn't know much about his parents since they went missing when he was about 9 years old. The only thing he knew about them is that they loved traveling around the world. Makuto had a struggling life, he couldn't keep friends close to him as he had a hard time expressing his feelings. After losing many friends he realised he should just keep to himself and not bother anyone. Whenever he would get to the park, he would either get ignored by everyone or get beaten up by his ex-friends. His only remaining friend was his dog, which he adored a lot.
One day, when he was cleaning his parent's room, he found something weird. It seemed to be playset of some cards that he wouldn't recognise. He asked his grandpa and he explained to him that it was a game called "Vanguard" and that his parents left two decks for him, one seemed to be a mecha themed deck named "Nova grappler" and the other one a demon themed deck named "Dark Irregular". He came to love the Nova grappler deck, but sadly he had no one to play with. His grandparents would try to play with him but they couldn't use the Dark irregular deck. He wasn't really attracted to the Dark Irregular deck so he hid it somewhere safe.
After a few months, his Dark Irregular deck started flashing. When he grabbed it, he suddenly passed out on the floor with the deck in his hands. When he woke up he felt a cold breeze touch his body. He stood up and realised he wasn't in his room anymore, he was transferred in some weird looking place. He started panicking when suddenly he heard a voice speak to him.
"Hello fellow human being, I am a spirit on this planet called Cray. This planet is inhabited by Vanguard units. Let me introduce myself, i am the spirit of Dark Irregular. You can also call me Akuma."
"Wait what, why am i here, what do i have to do with any of this!?" Makuto replied
"You are the chosen human, you have two options either I will replace your soul or you will allow me to inhabit your body together with you." Said Akuma.
"Why would i do something crazy like that and why did you even choose me, i am not even good." Makuto replied again
"I'm not the one that chose you, Cray itself is the one that decided you are qualified for this, my mission is to test the humans and their capabilities! And you will help me on this journey young man!!!" Said Akuma with a loud heated voice.
<I guess i have no choice huh...> Makuto thought to himself as flashbacks of his life came to his mind. He didn't mind this, maybe it would even make his life more interesting.
"Alright, i am in." Makuto decided to take this journey. He even thought that maybe he would meet his parents at some point. And so, he set off to his journey, he decided to go to the nearest City.
Leaving back painful memories and his grandparents, Makuto decided the next time he would return to his village, he would be with his parents.
Season two:
Nothing really important happened in the two month transition. Makuto got a lot more confident and Akuma stopped being naive. Makuto's personal goal is to get recognised by people. He wants his name to spread around the globe. He wants his name to reach the ears of the kids that bullied him, and mostly his parents. Winning the World Curcuit was the perfect opportunity to accomplish his goal. Other than this goal, his other plan was to get friends and have fun. Akuma's plans for the time being, is to help Makuto and the Rift as well. His other plan is to increase the strenght of his clan and make them a bigger and fearsome force.
