Title: [Shadow Paladin] Legion, I think? XD (Help)
Post by: [FD] Mordecai on June 20, 2014, 03:59:09 PM
So, I'm fairly new to Vanguard (as in, I started playing maybe a week ago xD) and I've built numerous decks and so far have found this one to be my best. So I ask you great minds to help me out in improving it. I was unsure of the "main card" of the deck, as the goal is typically to Legion, but most of the time I end up winning (or losing) before I get the chance to. SO, I ask you to give me some tips or improvements. Thanks in advance!

Grade 0 (17 cards)*
x1 Abyss Freezer (Draw)
x1 Awaking Revenger (Stand)
x2 Death Feather Angel (Critical)
x1 Fullbau (Starting Vanguard)
x2 Grim Reaper (Critical)
x2 Grim Revenger (Critical)
x4 Healing Revenger (Heal)
x4 Revenger, Air Raid Dragon (Critical)

Grade 1 (14 cards)
x2 Black Sage, Charon
x4 Blaster Javelin (To ride on Fullbau)
x3 Dark Shield, Mac Lir (Sentinel)
x3 Gururubau (Good support, also is good for attacking early on w/ the +2000 boost)
x2 Sacrilege Revenger, Berith (Also good support)

Grade 2 (12 cards)
x2 Battle Spirit Revenger, Mackart (For Legion)
x3 Blaster Dark (Duh. xD)
x2 Comet Witch, Server (says Sadhbh on CFA O.o also for Legion)
x1 Cursed Lancer (good power, however would be my go-to card to take out if something needed to be added)
x2 Demon World Castle Fatalita (intercept)
x1 Knight of Darkness, Rugos (beatstick)
x1 Knight of Fighting Spirit, Dordona (beatstick)

Grade 3 (7 cards)**
x2 Ambitious Spirit Revenger, Cormac
x3 Comet Witch, Manisa
x2 The Dark Dictator

*Side note 1: I know you may be thinking "Why all the critical triggers?" 2 reasons for me: 1) draw & stand triggers only have the 5000 shield, and prove useless to me unless actually drawn as a trigger. 2) who doesn't love a little extra critical? :D

**Side note 2: You may also be wondering "Why 2 legion Vanguards?" and I liked both of the legions, and the skills of the individual cards w/o legion.

SO, it's not perfect. It's probably awful, really xD BUT, I'm looking for some help. I'd like to keep this overall format and strategy, but I am open to all ideas.

*facepalm* out of triggers, onmly draws have 5k shield. Also, the deck is.. way below stanards of competitivness. You need to focus on what you are going to play" revengers or witches 'cause they don't work together quite well.

I've actually taken out the Revengers recently, as I found that problem, of them not working well together. I haven't updated the list because I didnt think anyone was gonna reply xD maybe I'll do that later. Thanks for the advice though.

Totally didn't realize the draw triggers were the ones with 5k xD like I said, I've basically just started playing, so sometimes I'll say things that don't match up, since I just don't know for certain right now. I do apologize for my "noobness".
