Title: Abyss/Gust Blaster Dragon/Cormac Deck(Shadow Paladins)
Post by: Ren «Я» on September 16, 2014, 03:53:49 PM
Starting Vanguard: Judgebau

Grade zero's :
4 Healing Revenger
4 Freezing Revenger
2 other draw triggers since Revengers don't have a 2nd Draw Trigger atm.
4 Grim Revenger (Critical)
2 Revenger, Air Raid Dragon (Critical)

6 Draws , 6 Crits , 4 heals.

Grade 1's:
2 Eloquence Revenger, Glonn (10k booster for Abyss)
2 Fighting Spirit Revenger, Lyfechure (10k attacker when you have less Rear-Guards than opponent)
2 Howlbau Revenger (10k booster for Blaster Dark Revenger "Abyss", and Abyss when in Legion)
3 Swordbreaker's (For superior calling with Judgebau and retiring with Cormac/Gust Blaster Dragon)
2 Revenger of Darkness, Mac Lir (Perfect Guards)
2 Hellrage Revenger, Quesal (Quintet Walls)

Grade 2's :
4 Battle Spirit Revenger, Mackart
4 Blaster Dark Revenger "Abyss"
2 Wily Revenger, Mana (Makes using Cormac's Legion skill easier, easy 2 more Rear-Guards to retire for Abyss since you need 3 total, and helps Gust Blaster Dragon's LB late game, which is the reason why I run it.)

Grade 3's
2 Gust Blaster Dragons
4 Ambitious Spirit Revenger, Cormac
4 Revenger, Phantom Blaster "Abyss"

Strategy of deck:

To basically abuse riding Abyss, etc to put pressure asap, then late game ride Gust Blaster Dragon. Provided you have legioned at least once with Abyss before then you'd have auto 2 Blaster units in soul for +10k and +2 crit or more depending on situation. A good finisher.

Cormac for pressure entire cf due so it's simple cost to gain a crit. and to legion and return Abyss, etc

If you're playing Ghast, Glonn is the most counterproductive card in the deck. Stick to Howlbau even though I don't recommend it since while making Abyss a strong column helps, it's already gonna be a big number with a restand. And 19 on a specific Grade 2 rearguard is gonna suck.

This is the first time I've seen Revengers without Dorint, but playing the Quintet Wall.

Because I don't have space for Blaster Dark Revenger lol.
I run the Gron thing cause it soul blasts g2 mates , etc to return to deck.

I normally heal anyway i never had any problems so far with dmg lol. But I see your point that you're making.

You want Blaster Dark in soul for Ghast.

Really you want both Blaster Dark Revengers for Ghast.

Yeah but I don't think "both" are "needed" lol. But I get the logic of what you mean.

True, the secondary Blaster Dark isn't necessary, but you want all you can get out of Ghast to make it an effective overkill.

True, I'll make a build with your suggestions (A seperate) and see which works best, etc by play testing.

It's up to you but it's actually somewhat the same theory behind Blaster Blade Liberator/Balan or additional Calling Grade 2s. With Mana, you have a better Superior Call game for resources. However, with Blaster Dark Revenger and Dorint, not only are you creating a Critical 4 Ghast, but you can play an extremely effective retire/unflip game.

It's more of up to the preference of how you want the deck to play. If you don't like Blaster Dark Revenger/Dorint in here, you should still be okay with Critical 3 Ghast swings.
