these names...

I'm currently messing around with Perditions again on top of Jewel Knight Sanctuary because I like The Ace. The Great is also a really fair Overlord, and I'm more a fan of him and Rebirth. 6/6 was ideal back in the past, but I may look into 7/5 now that Strides keep up my advantage fairly well. I also find Red Pulse the most ideal Kagero starter, so there's that too. Helps even more with the extra draws to have even more Stride fuel for later on, or have an Overlord in hand for The Ace.

Grade 1s are focused on a massive unflip engine. Zahm being your first Stride lets you retire two off of Menace Laser and then lets you recover from it instantly. Aetniki is amazing and Anna fulfills the same role, but with harder conditions, but also filters soul. I'm still working on the ratios I want for these two. In addition to that, Lava Flow and Protect Orb are self explanatory. Calamity even moreso.

Grade 2 lineup is standard. Menace Laser is your MVP. Gives you field destruction for minimal cost, or even no cost in most situations. Tarayev just makes your power turns harsher. Neoflame makes combos, but is less important in Rearguard Circle than the other two. Though, originally, I played 12 g2s with 7 g3s in the past to have better Grade 2 rush potential. I may go back to that at the cost of a Pain Laser. For now though, this stays.

The Great does the same thing he does normally, he didn't change. The only difference now is you have Madu and you can horde Greats in hand for literally any purpose. He does everything you want him to do and need him to do aside from be a massive powerlane on his own. ... Not like you need that. Pain Laser is better than Breakdown because soul filtering and minimal column destruction cost. Blademaster is there for my argument of utility to call Lava Flow Dragon and thin Grade 3s.

Route Flare is a ridiculous card. He's literally Pain Laser for free. The Ace is an amazing pusher or finisher, and I don't need an Overlord heart, which is even better. I can just hold extra Greats I don't need to reride. Zahm is silly with the unflippers, destroying an opponent's rush by expending 0 Counterblast in the end. Madu is silly and a staple in anything that plays a Legion.

Generally, what the deck does is whittle down your opponent's advantage. You quickly tear up their setups and proceed normally with beatdown.

-1 Artpitch
+1 Tahr

This deck is in a comfortable spot right now. I may even switch Gatling's number with Artpitch to have more +3000 chances. I find less and less use in Gatling every new Kagero card release with things like Zahm to just instantly nuke it during your first Triple Drive, or having that new GB1 forerunner for other decks. Don't get me wrong, it's not bad and should be in every deck, but I just personally find less and less reason to give it a higher number.

Mind you, it works in tandem with Zahm, so that idea will likely be trashed quickly.
