Title: [VG] Kagero The Legend (Also Post FC 2016)
Post by: Mahiraku on May 18, 2016, 11:32:00 PM
So I was considering a build that looked like this:

G4:

2x Nouvelle Vague L'Express
4x Vortex Desire
4x Overlord the Ace
1x Seabreeze
1x Mahmut
1x Dysmel
1x Screw
2x Denial Griffin

G3:
4x Overlord the Legend
4x Overlord the Great

G2:
4x Dragonic Neoflame
3x new Nehalam
2x new Bahr
2x Berserk Lord Dragon

G1:
4x PG (Either Aermo or Protect Orb)
4x Conroe
4x Tahr
2x Monica or Lava Flow

G0:
8x Crit (Goku & Blue Ray)
4x Gatling Claw Dragon
4x Heal
1x new Undeux or Sadegh

Any advice on adjusting this build? I have interest in on pressure with some retire support to cut down on my opponent's hand, but the focus is on hit or at least attack pressure.

New Undeux is your best forerunner for Legend. You have 5 onhit Strides. You're never going to use more than 1, and the FC16 Kagero G Guardian that's a 20 Shield is still great (you can drop Screw). If you're including Denial Griffin, I'll assume this is being built with GBT07 support too. Drop Mahmut entirely, and cut out three of Vortex Desire. Play 4 Blademaster Taiten and if this isn't for GBT07, play Mustafa. You're going to Stride Vortex first (if not Mustafa) to flip a copy of Blademaster/Mustafa faceup so they'll have more at their arsenal when you Stride them (Taiten will retire more, Mustafa will get more onhit pressure across the board). Consider Spherical Lord Dragon too. You can play 4 Legend 2 Spherical 2 Great and this'll allow you to fetch Legend whenever desired and have an extra Nehalem (who is godlike for the deck btw).

You can also try to find room by dropping two Ace for Root Flare (a free retire 2 is amazing).

A lot of Tahr is hurting a lot more than helping. Cut him to 0-3. Play Stride Fodder in his place. Monica is only good behind Spherical Lord or Legend's/Ace's/Great's second attack which is likely getting PG'd as it is so Spherical Lord is best for a crazy rear column on top of a big vanguard column. Spherical Lord is a Flame Dragon which is fantastic.

PG should be Protect Orb or Reas.

A bunch of onhit Strides don't help this deck at all, unfortunately.
